View Full Version : Who's your Reds right-back?
Siapakan yg seharusnya menjadi pemain inti di bek kanan MU yg kurang seimbang dnegan kemampuan EVRA di kiri yg begitu komplit menyerang dan bertahan sama Jagonya
beberapa pertandingan terkahir, sejak G.NEVILLE mulai sering cedera, musim lalu MU seperti nya kesulitan untuk mencari pengganti tetap untuk dimainkan di posisi back kanan
beberapa pemain dipasang di posisi itu
Mulai dari
O'SHEA : Pemain serba bisa, bagus bertahan , kurang bagus menyerang (nurut gue sih)
RAFAEL : Young Star, Hot Prospect, Quick, Skillfull, good in attacking
apakah mematangkan RAFAEL/FABIO ?
Share your opinion guys

Leih setuju matangkan Rafael.. Tuh anak dah kelihatan skillnya, jago bertahan jug ajago menyerang. Tipikal Roberto Carlos lah...

hoho... easy question there from bro TS... jelas dunkk RAFAEL.... O'shea, Brown, not so good in flair, pace, dan membantu serangan, and (sorry) they're not actually a world class player, only decent........ opsi ke 2 baru dehh O'shea, meski pun terkesan medioker, namun performanya lumayan untuk partai big match (nah kalo tuk lawan tim kecil, doi useless :hammer: )..............

bs seperti Neville brothers ato mgkn bakal melebihi mereka

Who's your Reds right-back?

Sir Alex Ferguson has acknowleged that there's a real battle for United's right-back slot, but we want to know who you think should be playing there.
The Reds have as many as six players vying for the position, and all have their merits, according to Sir Alex: "It is a really hotly contested position."
Aside from the senior professionals like Gary Neville, John O'Shea and Wes Brown who have occupied the position on a regular basis in recent years, the Reds have a number of up-and-coming defenders who can fill the roll.
"We've got five or six players who can play there," added the boss. "Rafa da Silva has got great potential to be a top player for us - as has his brother Fabio.
"We've also got Ritchie De Laet who can play there. So we're quite comfortable in that position."
Get involved with the debate by voting in our poll and posting your views on the Talking Reds thread.
Here are some of the best comments we've seen so far:
"It has to be John O'Shea - not because I'm Irish, but because I think he has been one of our best players this season and last."
Posted by Poland 86
"The boss knows best who to play and when to play them. All have their merits. We need all our defenders to be speedy whenever there is a sudden counter attack."
Posted by Man United strikers
"I'd say our long-term right-back is Rafael but he's still the raw diamond. For me, the first-team spot has to be between Nev and Sheasy. O'Shea has been one of the performers of the season while Neville's partnership with Valencia (a Beckham-style winger) has shown glimpses of greatness. The gaffer has a knack for rotating his players, so I think O'Shea and Neville will get 25+ appearances."
Posted by MagicalZidane
"At the moment I'd go for Wes Brown but I think Rafael has to get a look-in too, as he can become one of the great full-backs with more time on the field and on the training ground. That's nothing against O'Shea, who has done a great job all over the defence and in midfield, but for me Brown has the edge on him at right back."
Posted by Champions07-08-09
"Remember this, I tell you Ritchie De Laet is better than the Brazilian twins. He's smooth and can tackle well, has height and strength on them, and he's quick. So he's my pick."

udah vote......wes brown
sehingga pertahanan united seperti shaky .....
gw lupa pas pertandingan apa.....champions kalo gak salah
dia over laping nya mantap banget ....

kemampuan mereka hampir rata semua...

sorry gazza & wes ^:)^

Pilih Rafael dong...
Untuk masa depan United kayaknya gak perlu repot cari talenta baru. Apalagi lihat penampilannya saat lawan Everton. Kekurangannya cuma satu, dia kurang kuat kalau adu body sama pemain yang berbadan besar. Kalau urusan adu body barangkali hanya johnny O'Shea yang sanggup menghadang lawan segede apapun...

kalo fit, gw pilih Wes Brown....kedua, baru Rafaelll..

The Right Back Spot Dilemma?
stretfordendarising.com
http://picsrv.manutd.com/?fif=/manu/img_10_31823_3385.jpg&obj=iip,1.0&wid=240&hei=359&rgn=0.17741935483870966,0.02066115702479339,0.7741 935483870967,0.7417355371900826&cvt=jpeg
Those that have read match preview articles on Stretford End Arising will know the right back spot is often a cause for discussion. For years and years Gary Neville has owned the right back spot. In recent years however he has struggled with injuries allowing others an opportunity to stake a claim. Unfortunately his time as a United player is nearing an end. I’m not writing Neville off completely, but he is unlikely to feature on a weekly basis.
The Options?
With several defenders struggling with injuries last season (Wes Brown, Gary Neville and John O’Shea) Rafael was perhaps thrown in at the deep end. Against Bayern Munich we saw the good and bad of the young Brazilian. Whilst on the pitch he was superb – arguably United’s best player. He gave Franck Ribery a torrid time; he was in the Frenchman’s face from the first minute not allowing him to settle on the ball. His inexperience was highlighted by the sending off, perhaps soft but I felt deserved at the time. He can’t go around kicking players.
A further high profile mistake came against Tottenham Hotspur. The game was his first start since the sending off against Bayern after sitting out a handful of games – an obvious test of his mental strength. Rafael will probably blame himself for not remaining on the goal line, which would have allowed him to clear Ledley King’s header. His reaction to Nani’s goal was special, true emotion and passion!
Mistakes apart, his performances bode well for the future. He will surely will learn from his experiences and mature (in terms of football) more quickly and become a better player. Every player makes mistakes but once he irons out the school boy errors he’s going to be a top class player. As the 2009/10 season ended, I was firmly of the opinion Rafael would establish himself as first choice right back for the forthcoming season. His pre-season form however was somewhat iffy – notably struggling against Kansas City Wizards, which is perhaps a reason O’Shea was preferred.
O’Shea enjoyed his first full season in 2002/03, where he excelled at left-back. He bombed forward at every opportunity earning him the chant “When Johnny goes marching down the wing”. He even nutmegged Luis Figo in one instance. Since then, he has failed to cement a place in the starting as he became Mr. Versatility. Having missed the majority of the 2009-10 season due to injury, it came as a surprise O’Shea started the first Premier League game of the season against Newcastle United – him offering additional height in defensive situations is an advantage.
Would be fair to suggest O’Shea has struggled on his return. However, he is returning after a long term injury therefore to be over critical would be harsh in my opinion. With O’Shea struggling, he has perhaps played a factor in the slow start of the season for Antonio Valencia. Valencia is at his best when he plays alongside an attacking full back – dragging away an opposition defender. At the moment, whether due to the injury lay off and O’Shea finding his feet – he seems reluctant (compared to previously) to overlap. Valencia’s ideal partner is Rafael in my opinion.
During the first half against West Ham, O’Shea visible looked lacking in confidence – struggling defensively. His confidence seemed to grow during the second half – he started to overlap on a more frequent basis. Hopefully his second half performance will give him a boost in confidence
Throughout his career Wes Brown has constantly struggled with injuries and is perhaps a reason why he has never fully cemented a place in the first team. His best season came in 2007-08 when he was relatively injury free and was virtually an ever present a right back. Personally, I believe Brown is a better right back than centre back. If not Rafael, Brown is my preferred choice.
This season Brown is gaining fitness by turning out for the reserves in the Manchester Senior Cup featuring against Manchester City and Oldham Athletic.
What do you think? Should Rafael be first choice right back? Is Sir Alex worried about Rafael’s school boy mistakes? What have you made by the start John O’Shea has made to this season? Due to injuries can Brown be relied upon?

Vote 21. RAFAEL be starter this season...
Ini pengulangan ketika 2.NEVILLE replace Paul Parker in the mid 1995...
Let Neville as deputy & senior advisor for Rafael this season...itung2 biar jam terbang makin banyak semakin matang...
Then JOS sebagai pelapis selanjutnya...toh JOS bisa any kind of position (RB, LB, DM, CB)
Let Brown be deputy for center back, back up Rio-Vida & Smalling-Evans...
