There aren't many tougher jobs at United than shadowing Edwin van der Sar.

With one of the world's best ahead of you, chances are limited, which means grasping the opportunities that come your way is essential.

By and large, Tomasz Kuszczak has done just that. Remember his United debut in September 2006? The Reds may have lost, but Kuszczak made a stunning penalty save from Arsenal's Gilberto Silva.

Since then, United fans have come to recognise Tomasz's immense shot-stopping ability. An imposing figure between the sticks, the Pole is extremely athletic and agile, attributes that first came to the Reds' attention when he came on for West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford in May 2005.

With the Baggies 1-0 down and Russell Hoult injured after 22 minutes, Kuszczak came off the bench to make a string of saves and keep out United for the rest of the match. Robert Earnshaw’s penalty eventually earned Bryan Robson’s men a vital point and the following term Tomasz established his position as first-choice goalkeeper at The Hawthorns.

In the summer of 2006 United embarked on a relentless pursuit of the Poland international. Finally, after turning down three offers, the Midlands side finally relented and allowed Kuszczak to join the Reds, initially on loan. His move was made permanent at the beginning of the double-winning 2007/08 campaign, a season in which Tomasz made 16 appearances and kept no fewer than eight clean sheets.

In 2008/09 a fit-again Ben Foster threatened Tomasz's position as no.2, but the Pole has always insisted it's a challenge he relishes. And while Foster may have been given the nod in the Carling Cup final against Tottenhan Hotspur, Sir Alex assured Kuszczak and fans that the 6ft 3in stopper still has a big part to play in
United's future.

Dari 23 regu Polandia yang terjun di Piala Dunia 2006, hanya ada satu nama yang paling familiar yaitu Tomasz Kuszczak. Ia memang hanya jadi cadangan dan selama di Jerman tak pernah dapat kesempatan masuk lapangan menggantikan kiper utama Artur Boruc. Tapi, kalau ada jajak pendapat siapa pemain Polandia yang paling dikenal oleh penonton netral, sosok Kuszczak pasti berada di urutan teratas. Setidaknya ini menurut situs resmi Fédération Internationale de Football Association World Cup.

Tentu salah satu alasan utama karena Kuszczak setiap pekan tampil di Liga Inggris, salah satu arena paling beken yang disiarkan langsung ke hampir ke seluruh penjuru dunia. Padahal, ia relatif belum lama merumput di ranah Britania. Kiper yang pernah mewakili mewakili Polandia di berbagai turnamen junior tersebut, misalnya di Kejuaraan U-16 Eropa serta Kejuaraan Dunia U-17, baru mulai mencicipi Premiership dengan membela West Bromwich Albion pada 2004.

Kuszczak mengawali karier di negeri sendiri selaku anggota klub Slask Wroclaw. Pada 1999, saat berusia 17 tahun, ia merambah ke Jerman dan memperkuat Bayer Uerdingen.
Setahun berikutnya ia pindah ke Hertha Berlin dan sempat bermain dengan tim amatir sebelum melakoni karier pro.

Manchester - Masalah kiper mengiringi persiapan Manchester United memasuki musim baru. Cederanya Edwin van der Sar dan Ben Foster, memunculkan rumor bahwa MU mengincar Manuel Neurer. Bagaimana dengan Tomasz Kuszczak?

Van der Sar cedera dan dipastikan absen selama delapan pekan. Kondisi Foster juga diragukan. Cedera yang dialami Foster membuatnya tidak dipanggil ke tim nasional Inggris untuk laga uji coba melawan Belanda, Kamis (13/8/2009) dinihari WIB.

MU masih memiliki persediaan penjaga gawang yakni Kuszczak, Ron-Robert Zieler, Ben Amos, dan Tom Heaton. Di antara mereka hanya Kuszcack yang memiliki jam terbang lebih baik dibanding dari tiga rekannya itu.

Kondisi ini memunculkan rumor. Manchester Evening News memberitakan MU tengah mengincar Manuel Neurer. Penjaga gawang berusia 23 tahun itu saat ini memperkuat klub Schalke dan kontraknya baru berakhrir tahun 2012.

Dalam keadaan ini, Kuszczak mendapatkan dukungan. "Tomasz memang tidak punya banyak kesempatan untuk tampil karena penampilan gemilang Edwin van der Sar. Namun ketika diberi kepercayaan, ia menjawabnya dengan sangat baik. Tomasz membuat beberapa penyelamatan gemilang," demikian dikatakan eks pemain MU Lee Martin, seperti dilansir dari situs resmi klub.

"Bagi saya, tidak ada masalah untuk memainkannya di sepuluh laga pertama kompetisi," tambah mantan bek 'Setan Merah' di periode 1980-an tersebut.

Musim lalu, Kuszczak hanya tampil tujuh kali. Secara keseluruhan, kiper asal Polandia itu tampil 32 kali selama tiga musim bergabung di Old Trafford.

"Saya berpendapat, butuh enam atau tujuh laga untuk membuat seorang pemain bisa nyetel dengan atmosfer Liga Primer dan membentuk konsistensi. Memang benar bila Tomasz jarang dapat kesempatan, namun mungkin ini waktunya," tutup Martin

Manchester United reserve goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak last night made the remarkable claim that Old Trafford No 1 Edwin van der Sar has refused to help him with his career at the club.

Polish international Kuszczak has been at United for more than three seasons but has failed to dislodge Dutch veteran Van der Sar and has made only 35 first-team starts.

Now the 27-year-old has risked the wrath of his senior team-mate and manager Sir Alex Ferguson by suggesting that Van der Sar has rejected his appeals for tips and advice.

Kuszczak said: 'I must say this, and Edwin won't like this too much for sure, but he doesn't help me too much. I have told him a few times already to give me some more advice because he's got more experience.

'I say: "You have to give me something more because I like to know what I do wrong and like to watch people because I can improve as a result of the advice."

'But I don't know, maybe Edwin doesn't like me. You'll have to ask him.'

Kuszczak's comments will infuriate Ferguson who hates public signs of disunity from his players. The fact that the remarks came in an interview aired by in-house TV station MUTV will serve only to annoy the United boss further.

Ferguson will now want to know why these latest comments have been aired at a time when United's defence is struggling for cohesion as it is.

Kuszczak - who could not even get in the team when Van der Sar missed the start of the season - also hinted that he is growing frustrated with his lot.

He added: 'As the manager says, you need the whole squad to win trophies. Some play more, some play less. But sooner or later everyone must go and play important games.

'The question is how long do you want to wait? Because I try every day. It's a slow process. It's not so easy. I've already waited three and a half years. I will wait longer but my ambition is so big and I want to have a nice feeling after games, be tired and go home and think, "Oh, you did a good job".'

Meanwhile, Russia goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev is understood to have opened talks over a January move to Old Trafford after impressing for CSKA Moscow against the Barclays Premier League champions.

Selain Ferguson, Kuszczak juga mengarahkan tembakan ke arah Van der Sar. Kuszczak mengatakan kiper utama Setan Merah itu tidak pernah menanggapi pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang dia lontarkan.

"Saya sudah beberapa kali berbicara kepada Edwin, meminta saran karena dia sangat berpengalaman. Saya bilang: Saya ingin tahu apa kekurangan saya dan saya pikir Anda harus mengatakannya. Dengan saran-saran itu, saya bakal bisa berkembang menjadi lebih baik."

"Namun saya tidak tahu. Mungkin Edwin tidak senang dengan saya. Silakan tanya sendiri saja kepadanya," lanjut kiper berpostur 1,91 meter itu.

Waduh... baru bulan Nopember dah bikin masalah. Bisa2 Januari cabut nih...

Ya udah klo ternyata kuszczak pengen cabut. kebetulan kan musim depan MU bakalan punya kiper baru (Amin...) jadi klo di skuad MU masih ada Foster dan Kuszczak bakalan ribet ngatur jatah maennya. Klo menurutku idealnya tim punya 2 kiper utama plus 1 kiper muda sebagai backup 2 kiper utama. jadi ntar klo Kuszczak keluar komposisinya jadi ???? (blom ketahuan), foster (klo nggak pindah dan sih mau bersabar), dan Amos atau Zieler.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has played down talk of a rift between goalkeepers Tomasz Kuszczak and Edwin van der Sar.

Reports on Friday claimed the pair did not see eye-to-eye after Kuszczak appeared to question Van der Sar's lack of help and advice.

Kuszczak made the comments on United's in-house television station, MUTV, but Ferguson claims the Polish international was only joking at the time.

"It is just not true," Ferguson said of any row between the pair.

"Tomasz was cracking a joke. He was laughing when he said it.

"There is no problem between him and Edwin - maybe it is just that Polish humour doesn't translate to British humour."

STEADY Tomasz Kuszczak has motored through the United goalkeeper grid to take `Pole' position.

The international stopper has presented with Sir Alex Ferguson with a problem.

Edwin Van der Sar has been out of action with a knee injury since being injured against Everton last month.

The Dutchman has missed the last six matches and is set to be fit for selection and could be considered for tonight's Premier League match at Old Trafford against Wolves.

But 26-year-old Kuszczak is currently compiling his longest consecutive run in the Reds first team with five back-to-back matches behind him.

United won four of the games against Portsmouth, Spurs, West Ham and Wolfsburg and Kuszczak was in good form.

His first defeat of this run came at the weekend against Aston Villa, but he couldn't be blamed for Gabriel Agbonlahor's goal in the 1-0 loss.

Statistically, Kuszczak is now United's safest keeper this season. He has played seven matches and conceded just four. A return of one every 1.75 matches.

At the start of the campaign, it looked a bleak future for Kuszczak at Old Trafford. There was little secret that he was considered the number three behind Van der Sar and Ben Foster.

Last term he started just three matches from New Year onwards and many wondered if he would throw in the gloves during the summer and seek permanent employment elsewhere.

When Van der Sar was injured in pre-season and Foster was granted a run in the side, Kuszczak had to take a backseat to his England rival. Foster was clearly being groomed as Van der Sar's successor.

But his hopes of forcing Fergie to keep Van der Sar on the sidelines once fit again crumbled after a series of calamities. The veteran was brought back as soon as possible.

That, too, must have left Kuszczak frustrated. Even when Van der Sar suffered his recent knee problem it was Foster who was given the first chance to redeem himself.

However, when Besiktas's winning goal at Old Trafford in the Champions League suspiciously evaded his right hand, the damage from his first run of games wasn't really repaired.

It leaves Foster's figures this term at played 11 and conceded nine - a goal every 1.2 matches.

Kuszczak then stepped in to grab his opportunity. Having repaid the faith put in the initial number three choice, it would seem unlikely that Van der Sar would be reinstated immediately.

The Dutchman, however, is currently considering whether to take up the offer of another 12-month contract .

Should he see Kuszczak's form as a stumbling block, the 39-year-old might question whether he may face fewer games.

His campaign stats are actually the worst of the lot, having conceded a goal a game in his seven outings.

And with United continuing to monitor Schalke's German international Manuel Neuer, Van der Sar will have to take that future competition into consideration.

Whatever, Kuszczak's surge from nowhere man to number one has really put the cat among the pigeons in the battle for the gloves at Old Trafford.

Tomasz Kuszczak was full of praise for his makeshift defence as the Reds kept a valuable clean sheet en route to victory over Wolves.

The Polish international goalkeeper was resolutely protected by his back four of Ritchie De Laet, Michael Carrick, Nemanja Vidic and Patrice Evra, plus substitute Darren Fletcher, with Wolves reduced to just one shot on target all evening. Despite the merry-go-round of personnel before him, Tomasz was impressed by their work.

"It's confusing of course, we don't always have enough time to find composure, but we played well today," Kuszczak told MUTV. "Michael Carrick, Fletch and Ritchie did really well. Of course it's difficult for them, but we didn't concede and that's most important.

"It's a new position for Michael (at centre-back) but he did well and we have to be happy that even with so many injuries we still have players who can do the job properly."

Tuesday's victory moved the Reds level on points with league leaders Chelsea, who visit rock-bottom Portsmouth on Wednesday evening. Although Carlo Ancelotti's side are overwhelming favourites to take all three points, Kuszczak insists that the Premier League can throw up shocks at any time.

"Every single game is difficult," he said. "Aston Villa showed that on Saturday. Today we played better, we made more chances and scored goals. Chelsea know they must win and in the Premier League, the first team can be beaten by the last team. There's still a lot of games to play and I'm sure things will change."

He... foster biarin keluar aja. biar dia berkembang di klub laen. entah berkembang kehebatannya atau blundernya, yang jelas MU nggak bisa dijadiin tempat coba-coba kiper. MU butuh kiper yang bener2 bagus dan stabil. untuk sekarang jelas Kuszczak jauh lebih baik dibanding foster.

Tomasz Kuszczak says he plans to hold onto the Manchester United No.1 shirt after enduring a long spell in the wilderness at the club.

Kuszczak started the season third in the pecking order at Old Trafford, behind veteran Edwin van der Sar and England prospect Ben Foster.

An injury to first-choice van der Sar gave Foster the chance to make the position his own - only for a series of high-profile errors to ensure the 26-year-old made a return to the subs bench.

The poor run of form has given Kuszczak a prolonged run in the side having started in United's last six outings.

He kept a clean sheet in the 3-0 win over Wolves and said he is delighted to have been given a chance by Sir Alex Ferguson to prove his worth.

Kuszczak said: "It is great to get a run in the team. Playing for Manchester United is fantastic. Even when I have had the hard times, and I did not play, that was always my ambition.
Small mistakes

"I didn't start thinking my chance would not come. Now it is my time to play regularly and I want to do it for a long time."

The former West Brom keeper caused controversy earlier in the season when he said that van der Sar did not give the younger keeper any feedback or advice.

Some have doubted Kuszczak's ability to hold the coveted position of being United's No.1 since his arrival in Manchester three years ago.

He looked shaky at times in the Wolves clash and conceded he must cut out silly errors in order to establish himself.

"I know what I have to do," Kuszczak said. "I have to play well and keep clean sheets. I also have to keep my mistakes to an absolute minimum.

"I am still making some small mistakes, which I am not happy with. I do try to be honest about my performances and while I didn't concede last night I made some errors which could have cost us a goal.

"Thankfully they didn't but I must try to do better next time. At the moment, every single game is like a lesson for me."

TOMASZ Kuszczak is aiming to iron out any errors in his game to smooth his way to becoming United's recognised number one.

The 27-year-old Pole has fought his way from eve-of-season third choice, to be Sir Alex Ferguson's current top man.

Kuszczak's outing against Wolves was his sixth consecutive first-team appearance.

His previous best run was Christmas 2007 when he made four starts on the trot only to be immediately demoted when Edwin Van der Sar returned from injury.

But having taken full advantage of Ben Foster's failure to hold down the role, the Dutch veteran is on the verge of a comeback following a knee injury.

However, Kuszczak is looking to keep a firm grip on the position.

"I am still making some small mistakes, which I am not happy with," said Kuszczak.

"I try to be honest about my performances. Okay, I didn't concede any goals against Wolves but I made some mistakes which could have cost us a goal. Thankfully they didn't.

Blanking out Wolves was Kuszczak's third clean sheet of his current run.

However, with the Reds backline queuing up for attention in the Carrington training HQ treatment room, Kuszczak has played behind nine different defenders in his six matches, including makeshift members like Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher and Ji-sung Park.

It is making the Polish international's chances of improving his stats tougher.

"It is difficult to keep clean sheets because the level of the Premier League is so high and we have to keep changing the defence around," Kuszczak added. "It can be confusing but we don't have enough time to gel - although they played well on Tuesday against Wolves."

Manchester - Tomasz Kuszczak begitu gembira, menyusul kepercayaan yang mulai datang dalam beberapa waktu terakhir. Ia mengaku masih punya kekurangan, tapi siap melakukan koreksi demi tempat utama.

November silam, Kuszczak sempat mencak-mencak. Pasalnya kiper Manchester United ini sangat jarang diberikan kesempatan tampil. Ia selalu berada di bawah bayang-bayang Edwin Van der Sar dan Ben Foster.

Ketika itu, kegeraman Kuszczak bisa jadi telah mencapai puncak. Manajer Sir Alex Ferguson dan Van der Sar pun dijadikannya "sasaran tembak".

Namun dalam beberapa waktu terakhir, Kuszczak tengah ceria. Ini menyusul kepercayaan yang mulai datang kepadanya. Tercatat sejak awal bulan ini, kiper asal Polandia itu tampil dalam lima pertandingan sebagai starter.

"Saya sangat menikmati bermain reguler. Dengan begitu saya bisa melakukan sesuatu terhadap penampilan saya," ujar Kuszczak dilansir dari Manchester Evening News.

"Bermain untuk Manchester United jelas fantastis. Meski saya sempat melalui masa-masa berat yakni ketika saya tak bermain, tampil di sini selalu menjadi ambisi saya."

Catatannya pun bisa dibilang bagus. Kiper berusia 27 tahun itu dua kali clean sheet dan kebobolan dua gol. Empat menang dan sekali kalah adalah catatan yang ia torehkan.

"Saya masih melakukan kesalahan-kesalahan kecil. Jelas itu tak membuat saya senang. Saya berkata jujur tentang performa saya. Memang, saya tak kebobolan ketika melawan Wolves. Namun saya melakukan kesalahan yang membuat kami kebobolan di laga-laga lainnya," ujar kiper yang berseragam MU sejak tahun 2006 itu.

Kekurangan telah diketahui. Kini Kuszczak siap untuk memperbaiki kesalahan-kesalahan yang pernah terjadi, demi sebuah tempat reguler di bawah mistar Setan Merah.

"Saya harus bermain bagus, meminimalisir kesalahan semampu mungkin, dan tetap menjaga clean sheets."

"Saya tak pernah berpikir bahwa kesempatan tidak akan datang bagi saya. Kini waktunya bagi saya untuk bermain reguler telah tiba dan saya ingin melakukannya untuk waktu yang lama," tuntasnya.

What a difference a couple of weeks make!

At the start of November it was thought that Tomasz Kuszczak’s Man Utd career was over after he aimed a stinging tirade at colleague Edwin Van der Sar as well as voicing his displeasure at his inability to get a solid run in the first team.

With Van der Sar yet to sign a contract extension, Foster failing to impress and Kuszczak talking his way out of the door it was thought that Fergie faced a problem as he would now need to sign a replacement goalkeeper but now in the middle of December, Fergie faces another dilema.

Kuszczak has been called upon by Fergie and has resoundingly answered the call with a number of solid performances. He has started the last 6 games for United conceeding just 3 goals and it was his saves against Pompey in the first half that kept United in the game as they could have gone into the second half down instead of drawing 1-1.

With Edwin Van der Sar suffering with a knee injury Kuszczak will continue between the sticks for United and whereas before this could have spelt trouble he has reassured us that he can do the job with his displays, even if its just short term. Despite keeping 3 clean sheets, he himself has come out and claimed stating he is not happy with his performances (although we are) and that he has made mistakes that he hopes to correct.

But with Kuszczak in good form what does Fergie do in January? His number 1 has a knee injury and has just flown back to his native Holland for fresh assesment whilst Ben Foster, in his performances this season, looks like he is not quite up to the job. So should he go after another keeper and possibly upset Kuszczak or keep faith in the Pole?

Just this week Schalke’s Manuel Neuer has opened the door to a move to United stating he needs Champions League football, and having not played in Europe this season for Schalke he could get this if he is signed in January.

I personally have seen nothing that shows Kuszczak isn’t up to the job, he has been more than capable for United pulling off some wonderful saves. He still needs to work on crosses and corners as well as his kicking but they have not caused much of a problem in his spell in goal this season. Fergie should stick with Kuszczak as Van der Sar hopefully won’t be out for to long. If he does persue another keeper he will face the problem of trying to keep all 4 happy when he already has problems doing that with the 3 he has.

terlepas dari hasil yang kita dapat akhir-akhir ini... perform Kuszczak dah semakin stabil dan oke... terutama saat lawan Birmingham semalam, banyak penyelamatan krusial yang dia buat... tanpa mengecilkan peran pemain lain, tapi IMO kalo bukan karena dia, kita bisa kalah...

TOMASZ Kuszczak is compiling one of the best ever cases for a United stand-in goalkeeper to hold on to the gloves.

Since 1991 the Reds No1 position has been dominated by Peter Schmeichel, Fabien Barthez and Edwin Van der Sar.

Deputies have rarely got a look in when that trio have been entrenched in the Reds role.

But Van der Sar's knee injury and his wife's illness has opened the door for the Polish international and he has now enjoyed the longest run any other goalkeeper has had during the Dutchman's four and a half year Old Trafford career.

England squad member Ben Foster was unable to take advantage of the veteran Dutchman's absence at the start of the season following finger surgery but Kuszczak has grabbed his chance.

Van der Sar has been training with Ajax while recovering from injury and being with his wife since Christmas but is ready to return to Manchester.

United, meanwhile, have rubbished a report that Foster is up for sale and Sir Alex Ferguson has maintained he won't be loaned out either despite his World Cup place now being in jeopardy.

The keeper battle is set to intensify again but the 27-year-old Pole is now the man to dislodge. At St Andrew's on Saturday, he strengthened his shout to remain in possession.

"I try to do my best. I've been given my chance just recently. That's the 11th game I've played now. It's good for me and my experience and I hope I can keep going," said Tomasz.

Replacement

"There's always talk about whether United have a got a replacement for Edwin.

"We need good keepers at the club to give everyone competition but it's the same in every position.

"It's good for the team. We have 60 games a season and one goalkeeper cannot guarantee to play in all of those matches so we need strength in depth.

"I've just been given an opportunity and I try to do well. I can't score goals so I have to concentrate on saving them."

Kuszczak certainly helped United muster a point against Birmingham with three excellent saves.

And he insists grinding out a draw at St Andrew's was good and the champions can still make history a win a fourth consecutive title.

"I know some people will see a draw as a disappointment for us but, make no mistake, Birmingham are a very good side," added Tomasz.

"This was not an easy game. They created quite a few chances and looked very sharp.

"The league is really tough this year. There's not much to choose between quite a few of the big sides and it's very close.

"We have to just make sure we pick up as many points as we can so we have a big say on the destination of the title.

"We didn't make it today, but we are looking forward to our next game to try to get back to winning ways.

"There is obviously still a feeling that we can finish the season as champions.

"Everyone will drop points. It's not as simple as it was a few years ago.

"But I still think we are the ones the others have to beat."

Aston Villa are weighing up a move for Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak.

The Pole wants more game time and Villa want competition for 39- year-old Brad Friedel and his compatriot Brad Guzan.

The 27-year-old has made less than 30 Premier League appearances for United since joining United in the summer of 2006.

And he also faces competition from Ben Foster, who manager Sir Alex Ferguson has tipped to be the future England No 1.

He did play for United in this season's Carling Cup final victory over Villa.

Kuszczak, who is contracted until 2012, admitted: I don't t know how much longer I can stay on the bench.

'I have waited for four years and I enjoy my time here, but maybe I need to change it.'

Manchester - Tomasz Kuszczak cuma punya harapan sederhana di musim depan. Kiper kedua Manchester United tersebut ingin diberi kesempatan bermain lebih banyak dan menjadi kiper utama menggantikan Edwin van der Sar.

Kuszczak kini telah memasuki musim kelimanya bersama MU. Akan tetapi, shot-stopper asal Polandia itu belum juga mampu menggeser posisi Van der Sar sebagai kiper nomor satu yang meski sudah berumur tetapi masih tampil prima.

Minimnya kesempatan bermain yang diberikan kepada Kuszczak menjadi salah satu faktornya. Tercatat, penjaga gawang berusia 28 tahun ini belum pernah tampil lebih dari 20 kali dalam satu musim sejak direkrut pada 2007 silam.

Menyambut bergulirnya musim kompetisi yang baru keinginan Kuszczak cuma satu: bermain lebih banyak sehingga ketika Van der Sar pensiun nanti--kemungkinan tahun depan--ia bisa menjadi kiper utama.

Diketahui, sejak dipermanenkan secara resmi oleh United pada 2007 silam, Kuszczak belum mendapat banyak kesempatan unjuk kebolehan di bawah mistar gawang United. Kiper 28 tahun ini harus rela hanya menjadi pelapis kiper veteran Belanda yang masih cukup tangguh, Edwin van der Sar.

Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak has admitted he will be forced to look for a move away from the club if he continues to be restricted to a reserve role at Old Trafford.

Kuszczak, 28, is now in his sixth season at Old Trafford but will be making only his 53rd appearance when he lines up for Wednesday's Carling Cup tie at Scunthorpe.

As Edwin van der Sar's standards show no sign of dipping despite the Dutch veteran approaching his 40th birthday, and speculation persisting about possible replacements when he does eventually call time on his stellar career, it appears to be an unsettling time for Kuszczak.

The Polish international empathises with Ben Foster's decision to leave Old Trafford for Birmingham over the summer in order to gain first-team football, and having watched his former team-mate flourish this season, Kuszczak admits he may have to tread the same path in order to advance his career.

"I could understand Ben's position,'' Kuszczak told the Manchester Evening News. "He wanted to move because he wanted regular football and he wanted to play for England.

"But if I don't get enough games I will have to do the same as Ben. The years are going by and I will be 29 after this season. I want to enjoy football and I want to play.''

Elsewhere, Sir Alex Ferguson insists he will continue to use the Carling Cup as an opportunity to give his Manchester United fringe and youth players some match time, and believes that whether they win or lose at Scunthorpe on Wednesday, the experience will still be a valuable one.

"The Carling Cup has served us well over the last few seasons,'' Ferguson told United's official website. "It allows me to keep everybody happy in terms of giving them games and reaching the last two finals has obvious advantages.

The Polish international stopper was bombarded with efforts from the Iron's scattergun approach, making a string of saves to frustrate the hosts and ultimately picking up Sky Sports' man of the match award.

Rather than basking in the spotlight, however, Tomasz preferred instead to focus on the minor glitches in his impressive display.

"Ok, I had some shots to save but on a few occasions I could have done a little bit better," Kuszczak told Sky Sports, in his post-match interview.

"The ball moved and shots were really difficult to catch so I decided to punch or take them away. But if you give me man of the match, I'll take it!

"It was a busy night. Some shots gave me some problems but this is football, we all make mistakes. The most important thing is we won the game tonight."

semoga usaha TK untuk menjadi kiper utama berhasil. setelah 6 th hanya menjadi pelapis, ketika VdS pensiun th depan bisa digantikannya, siapa yg tahu dengan usaha kerasnya bisa bertahan terus sebagai kiper utama United. apalagi sampai usia 40 spt VdS, tentu menjadi suatu perjalanan karir yg berliku namun indah.

Agak berat bagi seorang kiper kedua di Manchester United kalau terlalu berharap menjadi kiper utama di kompetisi EPL dan Champions kecuali kiper utama cidera. Kemungkinan terbesar mungkin hanya bisa tampil reguler di ajang FA dan Carling, itupun jika menghadapi tim biasa bukan tim "big four". Tomasz Kuszczak kiper yang bagus namun harus diakui memberikan posisi kiper utama kepadanya saat ini tidak mungkin.

Ya, Lindegaard mulai berlatih bersama skuad Sir Alex Ferguson, sepanjang Desember ini. Namun, penjaga gawang internasional Denmark baru bisa membela Setan Merah terhitung sejak 1 Januari 2010 mendatang, seiring dibukanya bursa transfer musim dingin.

Inilah yang memanaskan telinga Kuszczak. Wajar saja jika penjaga gawang asal Polandia juga berencana meramaikan bursa transfer. Dia ingin mengikuti jejak Ben Foster, yang hengkang ke Birmingham City di akhir musim lalu, demi mendapat tempat reguler.

“Jika tidak mendapat kesempatan berlaga yang cukup, saya akan melakukan hal yang sama dengan Ben,” cetus Kuszczak, yang kebobolan empat gol oleh para punggawa West Ham United di ajang Carling Cup, dini hari tadi.

MANCHESTER – Tomasz Kuszczak berharap Sir Alex Ferguson mau memberinya kesempatan tampil lebih banyak bersama Manchester United.

Current Ajax number one Maarten Stekelenburg is the favourite to succeed Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin Van der Sar at Old Trafford according to The News of the World.

The Dutch keeper who starred for Holland in the World Cup is said to be on United’s radar after Van der Sar nominated the stopper to replace him.

It is also believed that there were United officials in the stands on Tuesday night as Stekelenburg produced a man of the match display for the Dutch against Finland.

Stekelenburg has already replaced Van der Sar at international level and with the United keeper in the last year of his current contract, the Ajax stopper could soon be heading for Old Trafford.

It took Sir Alex Ferguson 11 attempts to find an adequate replacement for Peter Schmeichel when the great Dane left Old Trafford in 1999, leaving the United manager to lament not snapping up Van der Sar in the first place as he had intended.

Now Ferguson is facing a similar problem.

Kiper Manchester United Tomasz Kuszczak mengaku bahwa dia membutuhkan bermain secara reguler untuk menjadikannya sebagai kiper utama timnas Polandia.

Kalau diperhatikan, Tomasz Kuszczak ini jarang banget tersenyum lho baik di lapangan maupun saat berpose di depan kamera untuk keperluan lainnya, wajahnya serius terus ...

bahkan pas lagi gendong layla maupun menggandeng bininya pun tak senyum :))

New role for Tomasz

United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak made a visit to his home city of Wroclaw last month as part of his new role as a Friend of UEFA for Euro 2012.

Wroclaw will play host to some of the matches during next year’s European Championships which are being held in Poland and the Ukraine, and Kuszczak recently sat down with ManUtd.com to talk about his involvement in the tournament and his ambitions for the coming year for both club and country…

So Tomasz, tell us more about your role as a Friend of UEFA for Euro 2012…
I feel very honoured to be involved and very proud that my home city will be hosting some of the games. It was nice to go back there recently and see some familiar faces. Everyone is working hard to get the city ready and I know it will be a great success.

What should potential visitors know about Wroclaw?
It might not be one of the most famous cities in Poland but it’s one of the most beautiful. Some of the buildings have been there for hundreds of years and are pretty spectacular. The Main Square, or ‘Rynek’ as it is called in Polish, has everything – great restaurants, cafés, bars and shops. I always spend time there when I go home. There are also some nice parks and I’d definitely recommend a visit to Wroclaw Zoo.

What’s your favourite part of the city?
I’d have to say the Main Square. You can spend all day long there. Wroclaw is a special place to me – it’s where everything started. My first school was there, I met my friends there and my first club is there, Slask Wroclaw. They’re in the Polish First Division which is a decent league. I initially started in the youth team before moving up to the first team. They were great times.

How excited are the Polish people about playing host to Euro 2012?
Everyone is very excited. We all know it’s a big challenge for our country. There are a lot of things that need to be put into place before the tournament but everyone is working very hard on that and I know my country will put on a great tournament.

How’s the stadium in Wroclaw looking?
I went to see how it was coming along when I was over there and it looks fantastic. It’ll be finished this year and will hold just over 41,000. I was there at the start of construction and to mark the occasion we buried a time capsule underground which included a Champions League ball that I’d signed.

What would it mean to you to represent your country at the Championships?
It would be a dream come true. Things have been a bit up and down with the national team because I've not played too much football for my club. I’ve tried to be patient and wait for my chance and have always tried to do my best when I’ve been given it. It’s not been easy though. Every player wants to play for their country, but that situation is determined by what’s happening at your club. I hope I’ll get my chance here. I think I deserve one. But it’s not important what I think, it’s about what the boss decides. Sooner or later I need to play regular football and I hope by doing that it will give me a ticket to the European Championships because it would be an honour to be involved.

Kuszczak Sabar Tunggu Dimainkan

Kiper nomor dua Manchester United itu berharap bisa segera mendapatkan kepercayaan dari manajer tim.

Tomasz Kuszczak mengaku tak sabar untuk bisa menunjukkan kelasnya di depan Alex Ferguson sebagai salah satu penjaga gawang nomor satu berikutnya Manchester United.

Hal itu ditegaskan Kuszczak mengingat Edwin Van Der Sar bakal pensiun di akhir musim ini, yang membuat pos penjaga gawang utama United kosong.

Pihak klub sejatinya sudah mencari kiper baru yang kualitasnya sudah diakui, tapi Kuszczak menilai dirinya juga layak dipertimbangkan selama mendapat kesempatan untuk tampil.

"Untuk bisa bermain bagus, saya harus bermain secara rutin. Saya juga sudah menunjukkan ketika saya mendapat kesempatan, performa saya terus membaik," ungkap Kuszczak.

"Sekarang saya hanya bisa menunggu keputusan manajer," tandasnya lagi.

United sendiri sudah mendatangkan kiper baru Anders Lindegaard musim dingin lalu. Namun mereka juga masih membidik sejumlah kiper lain, seperti Gigi Buffon, Julio Cesar dan beberapa kiper papan atas lainnya.

Manchester - Tomasz Kuszczak pernah mengacam hengkang jika terus dibangkucadangkan di Manchester United. Peluang terbuka buat kiper Polandia ini karena klub Galatasaray siap untuk menampungnya.

Edwin Van der Sar dipastikan akan pensiun pada akhir musim ini. Walau begitu belum ada jaminan buat Kuszczak yang ingin menjadi kiper utama The Red Devils.

Galatasaray bisa menjadi tujuan Kuszczak. Menurut laporan Daily Mail, jagoan Turki tersebut berminat terhadap pemain yang pernah memperkuat Hertha Berlin itu.

Apalagi MU tampaknya belum memiliki kepercayaan terhadap mantan kiper Hertha Berlin tersebut. Buktinya "Setan Merah" mengirim pemandu bakatnya untuk memonitor dua kiper Jerman.

Setelah hampir mustahil mendapatkan kiper Atletico Madrid David De Gea, MU mengalihkan bidikannya ke dua kiper Bundesliga. Mereka adalah Manuel Neuer (Schalke) dan Rene Adler yang membela Bayer Leverkusen. (rin/roz)

Galatasaray believe they are closing in on Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak - but Zenit St Petersburg are also interested.

Polish goalkeeper Kuszczak will leave Old Trafford in the summer, with Sir Alex Ferguson eager to sign a new goalkeeper to replace the retiring Edwin Van Der Sar.

Anders Lindegaard has already been signed but is seen as a second-choice goalkeeper, with United ready to land a successor to the retiring Dutchman.

It leaves Kuszczak, who has made just 27 league starts in five years at the club, ready to move on and Turkish side Galatasaray are in pole position to land him.

The club are currently languishing in 11th in the Turkish League and want to overhaul their squad this summer - but Russian side Zenit are eager to approach United for Kuszczak as well.

emang kurang sreg juga kalau TK yang ada di bawah mistar gawang United, apalagi kasus waktu lawan Blackburn kemarin benar benar fatal. Bahkan Lindegaard pun gak sejelek itu.
Alamat siap siap saja angkat koper... Apalagi Opa sedang mencari kiper yang pantas buat suksesor Oom Edwin..

Tomasz Kuszczak has warned that Edwin van der Sar’s successor will have a “difficult” job replacing the Manchester United legend.

David de Gea is expected to complete a switch to Old Trafford from Atletico Madrid next month but Kuszczak is in no doubt about the size of the task facing the 20-year-old Spaniard.

The Poland international said: “Things have changed now because obviously Edwin has finished and it doesn't matter which goalkeeper's going to come to Manchester United in the Premier League, it's going to be difficult for him because I know this league is a really tough league and the first team can lose against the last team.

“Edwin is a terrific goalkeeper and I learnt a lot. He put me on the bench for a long, long time and I don't think there is any goalkeeper in the world who can put him on the bench. That's why it is not a surprise I sit on the bench.

“I came to this club five years ago with big hope that I was going to get the chance and a chance to play regularly, but Edwin never gave up and he always played well.

"He was, you can say, one of the best players in the team and obviously it was difficult to push him out.

"Now he's finished and we are good friends. We spent a lot of nice moments together and I wish him all the best. We're going to keep in touch and I can still learn a lot from him.”

Kuszczak, 29, accepts he does not fit the bill for Sir Alex Ferguson and will weigh up offers from home and abroad over the next few weeks before deciding his future.

"I love the Premier League, I know this league, I've been playing here for seven years now and I like this league,” he said. “But all doors are open for me.

“I would like to play football regularly and if I'm going to get a nice proposal from a different league, why not? I'm going to think about that.

“It's difficult to show something based on one game in a month because we know in football, like in different sports, you have to have some games in a row, be on the pitch and then you can build up your confidence and do different things.

"I didn't get the chance enough over a few years but I don't know what is going to happen with me to be honest although, of course, it’s going to be sorted soon.”

Tomasz Kuszczak has resigned himself to leaving Manchester United this summer.

The Polish keeper has been second choice behind Edwin van der Sar and although the veteran Dutchman retired at the end of the season, United do not see Kuszczak as his long-term successor.

The 29-year-old made just seven appearances last season and United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is set to complete a £18million deal to sign Atletico Madrid's 20-year-old keeper David de Gea.

Kuszczak has another year on his contract but Ferguson has made no attempt to assure him he is still wanted at Old Trafford.

The ex-West Brom man therefore accepts it is time to leave after five years at United and is now weighing up his options, with his former club in the frame.

"I haven't spoken with Alex Ferguson," he said.

"He has told me nothing. He never tells me anything. I don't know if I can stick it any more.

"I have some offers and we will see what happens with them.

Manchester - Jarang menjadi pilihan utama membuat Tomasz Kuszczak mengungkap rencana untuk meninggalkan Manchester United. Soal masa depan, kiper asal Polandia itu mengatakan masih ingin bermain di klub Inggris.

Kuszczak bergabung ke MU pada tahun 2006 dengan status pinjaman dari West Bromwich Albion. Satu tahun berselang, The Red Devils memboyong kiper kelahiran 20 Maret 1982 itu secara permanen.

Namun Kuszczak gagal menjadi pilihan utama manajer Sir Alex Ferguson. Musim 2010/2011 silam ia hanya turun 11 kali di laga resmi.

Bila dirata-rata, penampilan Kuszczak selama berseragam MU tidak sampai 15 kali per musimnya.

Kondisi ini membuat dia mengungkap rencana untuk meninggalkan Old Trafford. "Saya belum bicara dengan Alex Ferguson tentang hal ini. Dia tak pernah mengatakan apa-apa kepada saya. Saya tak tahu apakah saya bisa bertahan di sini atau tidak," ujar Kuszczak di Sky Sports.

Untuk musim depan kiper berusia 29 tahun itu kemungkinan juga kembali tak menjadi anggota tim inti. Tindakan The Red Devils yang masih mencari kiper baru untuk menggantikan Edwin Van der Sar yang pensiun mengindikasikan bahwa Kuszczak harus kembali menjadi penghuni bangku cadangan.

Kiper bertinggi 1,91 meter itu memang belum merinci masa depannya, namun sudah memberikan gambaran secara umum tentang rencana dia.

"Ada beberapa tawaran yang datang kepada saya, kita lihat nanti seperti apa perkembangannya."

"Saya pikir saya akan tetap bermain di Inggris. Saya sudah berada di negara ini selama tujuh tahun dan orang-orang di sini tahu apa yang bisa saya lakukan," tutup dia.

Kabar yang beredar, Kuszczak akan bergabung dengan West Brom, tim yang dia perkuat tahun 2004-2007.

Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak is wanted by Bayer Leverkusen as a replacement for the injured Rene Adler.

The Poland international is seen as a short-term replacement for Adler, who sustained tendon damage in a pre-season game against Red Bull Salzburg last week and underwent surgery that will rule him out for six months.

Leverkusen are looking for a temporary alternative and Kuszczak is one of the names on their short-list.

West Brom had been considered leading contenders for Kuszczak but they have also been weighing up West Ham's Robert Green and an ambitious move for Birmingham's Ben Foster.

Albion do not pay high wages but are considering putting in decent bids with Reading's £8m-rated striker Shane Long another possibility.

Tomasz Kuszczak says he is 'angry and disappointed' at the way he has been treated by Manchester United after failing to secure a summer move.

The Poland international goalkeeper had been hoping to leave the Red Devils during the close season in search of regular first-team football.

Kuszczak has made just 61 appearances during five years at Old Trafford and is now third choice behind new arrival David de Gea and Anders Lindegaard.

The 29-year-old was linked with a return to former club West Bromwich Albion and had expressed an interest in staying in England.

However, Kuszczak claims United wanted a £4million transfer fee and he is unhappy that he was unable to clinch a transfer before the window closed last month.

"I am angry and disappointed with the way I am treated," said Kuszczak in The Sun.

"I had a few good offers. The problem was the club who wanted to sell me for £4m."

Manchester United’s forgotten goalkeeper

Lost amid all the debates and media coverage about the respective merits of David De Gea and Anders Lindegaard, Tomasz Kuszczak silently fades into oblivion and obscurity, left out in the cold by Alex Ferguson and stranded at Old Trafford with his only football coming on the Carrington training ground and in meaningless reserve matches.

He has made more than fifty appearances in net for the club, and has notched ten trophies during his stay in the northwest of England, gaining ten caps for Poland at senior level against a host of top class countrymen vying for the spot. Now a 29-year old and facing the prospect of a season without even occasional appearances in the first team, the man who was once thought of highly enough to be the United custodian of the future will have to resurrect his career elsewhere.

Kuszczak’s career in England began in the summer of 2004, when he was signed on a free transfer by West Brom after his Hertha Berlin contract expired, without making a single appearance for the Bundesliga side’s first team. Despite not featuring much in his first season with the Baggies, Kuzczak made himself a West Brom hero in the final two matches of the season, coming on as a substitute and keeping future employers Manchester United at bay for more than an hour to secure a vital 1-1 draw, and keeping a clean sheet against Portsmouth the next week to safeguard Premier League status for another year.

An impressive 05/06 campaign saw him make 28 starts in the league, and speculation increased that a top club would come in for him. After rebuffing United’s interest in the winter transfer window, a loan deal was agreed for the 2006/07 season, which would eventually become permanent.

The year 2006 also saw him gain his 3rd and 4th caps for his country, building on the 2 earned in 2003. His lack of playing time at club level, and a host of competitors in the Polish squad, have seen him on the fringes at best, missing out on the Euro 2008 squad completely, and facing a crucial period where he must perform in order to even be in contention for next summer’s European championships, which Poland will co-host.

His time at United has been similar to that of fellow backup Ben Foster, whose hope was to eventually succeed Edwin Van Der Sar and make the number one shirt his own, but eventually grew tired of continually settling for a place on the bench and the odd run out in meaningless matches. And with the arrival of Lindegaard last January, and subsequently De Gea this past summer, Kuszczak finally made the decision to try and leave Old Trafford in search of first-team football.

Despite being arguably just as capable as the two younger keepers in front of him, he is not in Ferguson’s plans, but the club were not able to offload him, much to the player’s dismay, with the Pole himself stating several offers were rejected. But there surely is a big market for a keeper with experience at the highest level, and it easy to think of a few clubs who could do with Kuszczak in the Premier League alone, and his stated desire to remain in England raise a few possibilities.

Former club West Brom look the most likely destination should he stay in England, with Ben Foster’s loan deal due to expire at the end of the season. Tim Krul has shone signs of promise for Newcastle, but it may prove to be a bargain if they can land Kuszczak for a nominal fee.

Spurs have only just signed Brad Friedel, but the American’s age means that a new keeper will have to be brought in within the next few years, although it is unlikely that Kuszczak will want to wait any longer as a backup. Further north, Celtic are no strangers to Polish keepers, with Artur Boruc and Lukasz Zaluska both on their books in recent years.

Kuszczak would be a definite improvement over both Zaluska and current starter Fraser Forster, who is on loan from Newcastle, although wages could be a potential stumbling block given the weaker financial power of the SPL side. Waiting for the window to re-open will undoubtedly be the hardest part, and a true test of his resolve and determination.

While featuring for the reserves, he is sometimes even relegated to their bench in favour of Ben Amos, effectively fourth choice. The chance of course remains that one of De Gea or Lindegaard will be injured, which will likely make Ferguson loathe to lose experienced cover, especially given the number of competitions that United are competing in. There is also the small chance an emergency loan could be arranged.

In all likelihood, Kuszczak has played his last match for Manchester United, and has a lot to prove to both himself and football fans that he can be a top goalkeeper worthy of a starting spot at a top club.

Hannover 96 planning goalkeeper raid on Manchester United

Sources have suggested that Bundesliga side Hannover 96 are contemplating a move for Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak and that the German side could make their move as early as January.

The Poland international has seen himself drop down the pecking order at Old Trafford with the arrival of David De Gea and Anders Lindegaarde. The emergence of Ben Amos has also seen Kuszaczak not feature for the side’s Carling Cup victory against Leeds United last week and there were rumours throughout the summer that the 29 year old could be ready to move on.

With Manchester United having four goalkeepers on their books it could be deemed that that is one too many. Hannover do have former United keeper Ron-Robert Zieler on their books however at 22 years of age it is believed he may be too inexperienced to take the side forward with only fellow German Markus Miller at 29 adding some experience.

Although Zieler has shown some class at this early stage in the Bundesliga season – the side have leaked eight goals in seven matches – the North German outfit are looking to add a new goalkeeper with experience at the highest level and an offer for Kuszczak could be forthcoming.

For Manchester United a decent offer for the Pole is likely to be accepted given the quality they already have onboard although it remains to be seen whether manager Sir Alex Ferguson would be prepared to let the keeper leave in January unless the player himself requests a move.

Manchester United will sell their 29 year-old Polish goalkeeper, Tomasz Kuszczak in a cut-price deal in January with it very clear that he will not see any first team football for United in the near future.

The purchases of David de Gea and Anders Lindegaard as well as the emergence of 21 year-old former United youth goalkeeper Ben Amos have left Kuszczak as the fourth choice goalkeeper, missing out on first team action, even in Carling Cup ties.

Since his arrival at Old Trafford in 2006, he has played only 61 times for United with only 32 of those appearances in the League. United have failed to sell the goalkeeper before because of their £4 million valuation of him but with his contract running out during 2012, Sir Alex Ferguson is prepared to place a lower price tag on Kuszczak to allow clubs such as West Brom to reignite their interest in him.

The player himself is more than happy to leave the club, having already decided on his future in Aril when he said:

“I’m definitely leaving the club. My time in Manchester is coming to an end. I’ve worked hard for five years, but I never played as much as I wanted. It’s a shame the manager didn’t really give me a chance. I always believed I can be Edwin Van Der Sar’s successor. Unfortunately, Sir Alex has decided differently”

Despite owning three Premier League winners medals, United had to apply for special dispensation for all three as Kuszczak hadn’t played enough times in the season to recieve a medal automatically. He has however, won two League Cup’s with United as well as the UEFA Champions League in 2008 despite not playing a prominent part in the latter’s squad.

Leaving Manchester United will surely be a very healthy career move for him, and would definitely allow the undoubtedly talented ‘keeper’s career to get back on track after five years of very few chances in the first team.

Manager Steve Bruce has admitted the club may seek special dispensation after Simon Mignolet underwent surgery on the badly broken nose he suffered during Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Aston Villa.

Keiren Westwood came on at Villa, but Bruce is still short of keepers with Craig Gordon yet to resume training and Trevor Carson out with a back injury.

Kuszczak, 29, also a target for Doncaster, is frustrated at becoming fourth choice at United behind David de Gea, Anders Lindegaard and Ben Amos.

Sunderland play United on Saturday. Kuszczak had a discussion with boss Sir Alex Ferguson yesterday and is hopeful of a chance to play.

Sir Alex won't let Polish ace join Championship side

Manchester United's Tomasz Kuszczak has revealed that Sir Alex Ferguson blocked a loan move to Leeds United this week.

Kuszczak is out of the first-team picture at Old Trafford, and Leeds were looking for a new number one this week after Paul Rachubka's poor display against Blackpool saw him replaced at half-time.

Leeds made an approach ,according to Kuszczak, Ferguson blocked the move.

He instead claims that possible deals to Doncaster and Sheffield United are the only moves United will sanction.

"My loan to Leeds was not possible because Alex Ferguson has blocked it," he told Onet.

"I could only go to Sheffield United, or to Doncaster."

Kuszczak sedih karena MU telah menghalangi kepindahannya. Namun ia masih berharap Ferguson mau melepasnya pada Januari.

Kalau sampai Januari 2012 masih di United dan tidak pernah tampil, sepertinya Tomasz Kuszczak harus ikhlas menghadapi kemungkinan jadi penonton piala Eropa di negerinya sendiri (kecuali pelatih timnas Polandia tetap memanggilnya).

Penasaran... emang ada masalah apa sih antara manajemen United dab TK? kok rasanya TK emang digantung gini. Kasihan... klo ngelihat kondisi saat ini ya aku dukung TK. Fergie harus punya alasan kuat kenapa nolak Leeds yang mau pinjam dia. Alasan rival ya rasanya nggak coz beda divisi. Jadi ada apa antara dua pihak ini.

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Kevin Pilkington has hit back at Tomasz Kuszczak’s claims that he has become "a slave" to the club.

Kuszczak told the press that he was planning to leave after becoming the fourth-choice keeper at Old Trafford this season.

The Pole has not played a game this term and recently saw a two-month loan move to Leeds United blocked by the Old Trafford hierarchy, and claimed that Sir Alex Ferguson did not care about his situation.

But Pilkington is unhappy with Kuszczak’s comments and believes that he only has himself to blame for his current situation and should think himself lucky to be in the position he is in.

Pilkington took to his Twitter account to say: “Embarrassing statement from kuszczak! Slave my a***. 1 he has had chances to impress. 2 he's on a very good wage. Should think himself lucky.”

Kus kayaknya terinspirasi dari kata2nya Ronaldo pas dia udah ngebet pindah ke Madrid deh, yg kalau ga salah ngatain dia dan pemain sepakbola sekarang itu budak yang dikekang dari keinginan pribadinya.

Bener juga kata Pilkington. Slave my ass. Budak kok dibayar dengan gaji tinggi. Walaupun United mungkin agak ga fair dengan menolak tawaran pinjaman leeds, tapi ga seharusnya Kus menjelek2an United di media massa. He's had his chances and he failed.

The Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak has complained of his treatment by the club. The 29-year-old Pole is now United's fourth choice, behind David De Gea, Anders Lindegaard and Ben Amos.

"I've talked to Sir Alex [Ferguson] lately," said Kuszczak. "I asked him to let me leave the club before the January transfer window. I told him I want to get back into the national team, because Euro 2012 is just around the corner, but it seems he doesn't care. The possibility of two months' loan to Leeds came two weeks later. The club blocked it. It was a glimmer of hope for me. It would have reminded the Poland manager about me.

"Do they do it maliciously? I'm sad they behave like that. I've become a slave to Manchester. I'm frustrated but I don't want to slander or criticise Ferguson. It's not my style. I have respect for him because, for me, he's a great manager but I hope he will let me go in January."

Kuszczak, who is the only senior United goalkeeper not to have played for the first team this season, was recently recalled to the Polish national squad, although he has not played international football in 2011. He has played 61 times for United since his arrival from West Bromwich Albion in 2007.

United refused to comment on the matter.

Out-of-favour Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak has attempted to diffuse claims of a rift between himself and the club.

The 29-year-old has slipped down the pecking order this season behind David de Gea, Anders Lindegaard and England U21 international Ben Amos.

It was anticipated Kuszczak would be allowed to leave on loan, although so far, it has not materialised.

Under the circumstances, it was no surprise when an interview appeared, with quotes from Kuszczak, claiming he was being treated like a ‘slave’ by United.

But the Pole was shocked at the interpretation that has been put on an interview with Polish newspaper SuperExpress.

And whilst he could hardly claim to be enjoying life at United just now, Kuszczak insists he did not use the words attributed to him.

“I would like to set the record straight by clarifying I did not use the word ‘slave’ in a recent interview I gave to the Polish newspaper SuperExpress, about my current position at Manchester United,” he said in a statement.

Could This Be The Reason For Frustrated Kuszczak’s Rant?

Few Manchester United fans would have imagined after the weekend’s victory over Sunderland which came on the eve of Sir Alex Ferguson’s 25th anniversary of taking over the club, that they would be speaking about our Polish goalkeeper this week.

Tomasz Kuszczak. Yes, remember him. He’s United’s second (no wait), third (that’s not right either), fourth (that’s right) choice keeper at the moment and has been at the club since 2006 when he signed for the club on-loan from then-relegated West Brom. Kuszczak whilst never being a first-choice for United due to the outstanding form of the recently retired Edwin Van der Sar, has played 61 games for the club picking up 10 major honours at Old Trafford during that time.

The Polish stopper’s finest hour for the club came in the 2010 Carling Cup final against Aston Villa where he was chosen to start by Sir Alex ahead of Ben Foster. Despite conceding an early penalty to James Milner, he ended up finishing on the winning side as thanks to strikes by Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney United turned it around.

Last season was a frustrating one for Kuszczak. He only played 10 times and failed to impress with two shaky performances notably coming at West Ham in the Carling Cup and away at Blackburn Rovers, in the game that saw Untied clinch their record-breaking 19th League Championship.

The signing of Anders Lindegaard last winter also made life tougher for the Pole and it was widely expected that he would be shipped out either on loan or permanently this summer. Kuszczak probably expected to be moved on either before or during the summer transfer window and clearly you can sense his disappointment and frustration in his words..

In comments that have been reported in a number of leading newspapers, here is what Kuszczak is alleged to have said:

“I’ve become a slave to Manchester. I’m frustrated but I don’t want to slander or criticise Ferguson. It’s not my style.

“I’ve talked to Ferguson recently. I asked him to let me leave the club now, before the January transfer window.

“I told him I want to play and get back into the national team, because Euro 2012 is just around the corner — but it seems he doesn’t care.

“The possibility of a two-month loan to Leeds United came up two weeks later. The club blocked it.

“It was a glimmer of hope for me. It would have reminded the Poland manager about me — but I didn’t get the club’s approval.

“Do they do it maliciously? I’m sad they behave like that.

“I have respect for Ferguson because, for me, he’s a great manager, but I hope he will let me go in January.”

The player has since claimed he didn’t use the word ‘slave’, but it’s worth remembering that at the end of the day Kuszczak wants to play football and at 29 years of age, he may not have too many more chances to get a first-team move that he craves for.

In a way it’s worth admiring the fact that when he joined the club, he wanted to challenge Van der Sar in the hope that he would take over and be the club’s no.1 keeper when the Dutchman would retire. It’s fair to say that had Kuszczak stayed at West Brom, there’s a good chance that he’d be their first-choice keeper today or at least be a first-choice elsewhere.

He took the gamble and challenge of joining United which any player in his position would have done. After all, all footballers want to push themselves and play in the biggest competitions and games, yes the wages may have helped Kuszczak’s decision and the fact he was at arguably the world’s biggest club, but it was a far more challenging environment than taking the easy option and playing for West Brom (no offence Baggies fans).

From his side of view, it’s easy to understand why he’s annoyed that he didn’t leave in the summer. Lindegaard’s signing confirmed that Sir Alex and the coaching staff didn’t rate Kuszczak anymore and there would have been lots of top-flight clubs across Europe who would have been interested in taking on an experienced goalkeeper ready for a new challenge.

Forgetting money which surely couldn’t have been an issue in Kuszczak not departing the club, perhaps the only reason why United kept hold of the Polish stopper was down to one thing; a doubt about Lindegaard’s fitness. After all, it’s worth remembering that the Dane suffered a knee-injury back in March which actually allowed Kuszczak to slot in behind Van der Sar as the club’s no.2 keeper towards the end of the season.

Perhaps the fear of Lindegaard suffering a reoccurrence of that knee injury at the start of the season was the key to keeping a frustrated Kuszczak at the club as maybe Sir Alex thought it would be too much of a risk to have Ben Amos as back-up to David De Gea should that injury-scenario occur. That may not be fair on the ‘Pole In Goal’ but football some of the times (alike life) isn’t always fair.

Memang sekilas isi beritanya sama namun kalau diperhatikan dengan seksama artikel kedua lebih banyak menyajikan sudut pandang dari sisi wartawannya (dalam hal ini http://football-talk.co.uk) sementara artikel pertama (menurut saya) lebih banyak menampilkan pendapat dari Tomasz Kuszczak.

Man United Stopper Set for Move to Greek Giants

Greek side Olympiacos are reportedly close to agreeing a deal for Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak who has slipped down to fourth choice stopper at Old Trafford.

The former West Brom keeper thought he may have been promoted once Edwin van der Sar retired but instead he has slipped behind David de Gea, Anders Lindegaard and Ben Amos.

According to reports in Spain, Olympiacos' sporting director Darko Kovacevic has already been in contact with representatives of the player and are confident that a deal can be completed in January.

Kuszczak has been at Old Trafford since 2006, although he was initially loaned back to West Brom for a season, but has made just 30 Premier League starts for the reigning Premier League champions.

The keeper has often stated that he needs to play more regular football but after seeing the arrival of De Gea has realised that his time with Manchester United is coming to an end.

The 29-year-old was a regular for Poland in his early twenties but has since fallen down the pecking order and no longer finds himself a regular for the national team.
