[FA Cup] Chelsea vs Portsmouth, the Final
Sabtu, 15 Mei 2010
Kick Off : 21.00 WIB
Venue : New Wembley Stadium

Chelsea vs Portsmouth

Apapun, it's a football game, menarik untuk dinanti nih, aksi2x para pemain biru (kebetulan sama2x biru yaa) di stadium New Wembley next saturday.

Pompey facing FA Cup final injury crisis
Soccernet - May 3, 2010

Portsmouth are facing a race against time to get their key men fit for the FA Cup final, with midfielder Richard Hughes the latest player to suffer a fitness setback.

Hughes looked distraught as he hobbled out of Saturday's 3-1 victory over Wolves at Fratton Park with a hamstring problem that will almost certainly rule him out of the trip to Wembley.

Striker Aruna Dindane (groin) and defensive midfielder Aaron Mokoena (calf) were also both replaced at half-time.

With just 12 days to go until the final against Chelsea, they join Tal Ben-Haim (groin), Marc Wilson (hamstring), Ricardo Rocha (thigh), Angelos Basinas (hamstring), Jamie O'Hara (back), Hassan Yebda (thigh) and Nadir Belhadj (hamstring) in a packed treatment room.

Scotland international Hughes, 30, was not selected for the 2008 FA Cup final squad, and now looks set to miss out on Wembley again.

"I am sorry for Richard, because in the last two months he has been very good for us,'' Pompey coach Avram Grant said. "It is a shame. He always gives 100%.''

O'Hara was ineligible to face his parent club Tottenham in the semi-final, but is in line to be fit for the final. The midfielder was at Fratton Park to collect what was a clean sweep of Pompey's player-of-the-season awards.

While the 23-year-old is unlikely to be staying on to play for the club in the Championship, O'Hara feels his time on the south coast was well spent.

"This club has a place in my heart,'' O'Hara told the Portsmouth News. "I will never forget the times I have had here. I have worked hard this season, everyone has been absolutely fantastic towards me and I have loved every minute of playing.

"It is something you want as a footballer, the adulation, and the fans to recognise how well you are doing. Personally, it is a great achievement to win all these awards.

"It's been amazing for me to come down here and play such a fantastic part and I am sure the club will be back in the Premier League soon.''

Whether or not Grant remains in charge for that battle remains to be seen, as the Israeli - linked with a switch to West Ham - seeks assurances over the financial backing and whether they can come out of administration.

Cheshire-based property tycoon Rob Lloyd is fronting a consortium, with a formal bid reportedly planned ahead of the creditors' meeting at Fratton Park on Thursday. However, Pompey's administrator Andrew Andronikou revealed talks had not made much progress.

"If nothing tangible has happened in two months, you start to have doubts about whether the offer is real or they have the ability to take it forward,'' Andronikou said. "Until they say to us that they are stepping down or taking it forward, I have nothing further to add.''

Mikel mengalami cedera lutut ketika membantu "The Blues" mengalahkan Bolton Wanderers bulan lalu.
