Bola.net - Drible ala Samba, memainkan si kulit bundar sembari menari-nari dengan kedua kakinya, berlari gesit tak terkejar, yah itulah seorang Ronaldo.

Coach Menezes drops stars for first Brazil squad

New Brazil coach Mano Menezes has stamped his mark firmly on the Selecao by only including four players from their World Cup campaign in his first squad.
There is no place for luminaries such as Kaka, Luis Fabiano and goalkeeper Julio Cesar in the group to play the United States, and the only players to be retained from Dunga's 23 are Daniel Alves, Ramires, Thiago Silva and Robinho.
Manchester United youngster Rafael is just one of the fresh faces in a young squad which contains 11 debutants.
Half of the 24-man squad ply their trade in Brazil - fulfilling Menezes' and the federation's promise when the former Corinthians boss was officially confirmed as Dunga's replacement on Saturday. Menezes will link up with the squad for the first time on August 8, two days before their friendly against the USA in New Jersey.
Dunga's contract was not renewed following Brazil's disappointing World Cup campaign, where their hopes of a sixth triumph ended at the quarter-final stage as they let slip a 1-0 lead to suffer a shock 2-1 loss to eventual runners-up Holland.
Menezes, who took charge of Corinthians in 2007 and steered to promotion from Campeonato Brasileiro Serie B before winning the Campeonato Paulista and Copa do Brasil last year, bid farewell to his club with a 3-1 victory over Guarani.
Brazil Squad:
Victor (Gremio), Jeferson (Botafogo), Renan (Avai);
David Luiz (Benfica), Henrique (Santander), Rever (Atletico Mineiro), Thiago Silva (AC Milan), Rafael (Manchester United), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Daniel Alves (Barcelona), Andre Santos (Fenerbahce);
Sandro (Internacional), Hernanes (Sao Paulo), Jucilei (Corinthians), Lucas (Liverpool), Ramires (Benfica), Carlos Eduardo (Hoffenheim), Ederson (Lyon), Paulo Henrique Ganso (Santos);
Alexandre Pato (AC Milan), Diego Tardelli (Atletico Mineiro), Andre (Santos), Neymar (Santos) Robinho (Santos).

Brazilian Football Confederation
(Confederação Brasileira de Futebol)
Wikipedia
The Brazilian Football Confederation (Portuguese: Confederação Brasileira de Futebol or CBF) is the governing body of football in Brazil. It was founded on June 8, 1914, as Confederação Brasileira de Desportos (CBD), meaning Brazilian Sports Confederation. Its first president was Álvaro Zamith. It organizes the Brazilian national competitions, like Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol (all four levels) and Copa do Brasil. The state federations, which organizes the state championships, are subordinated to CBF. The organization also administers the Brazil national football team and the Brazil women's national football team. It is based in Barra da Tijuca neighborhood, Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro state. The confederation owns a training center, named Granja Comary, located in Teresópolis.
It was announced on September 29, 2007 that the CBF will launch a women's league and cup competition in October 2007 following pressure from FIFA president Sepp Blatter during the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup in China.
The Brazil national football team represents Brazil in international Association football and is controlled by the Brazilian Football Confederation. They are the reigning South American champions, successfully defending their title in the 2007 Copa América. Brazil are also the current holders of the FIFA Confederations Cup after managing to repeat as winners of the competition in the 2009 edition of said tournament.
Brazil is the most successful national football team in the history of the World Cup, with five championships. They are also the most successful team in the FIFA Confederations Cup with three titles. Brazil, along with Argentina and Spain, are the only teams to win a World Cup outside their continental zone and the Verde-Amarela is the only team to have won the championship in four different continents; once in Europe (1958 Sweden), once in South America (1962 Chile), twice in North America (1970 Mexico and 1994 USA) and once in Asia (2002 S. Korea-Japan). A common quip about football is: "Os ingleses o inventaram, os brasileiros o aperfeiçoaram" ("The English invented it, the Brazilians perfected it"). Currently ranked third by FIFA, Brazil is consistently considered the strongest football nation in the world, and has also been marked as one of the most competitive teams of each decade since the 1960s. Brazil is the only national team to have played in every World Cup.

World Cup: 5 times (1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002)

Brazil call up Rafael and Lucas for US friendly
Manchester United defender Rafael da Silva and Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva have been included in new Brazil coach Mano Menezes' first squad.
Rafael and Lucas were the only Premier League players named for the 10 August friendly against the United States.
Just four players in Menezes's squad - Dani Alves, Ramires, Thiago Silva and Robinho - played for Brazil at the World Cup in South Africa.
Rafael has yet to be capped by Brazil, though Lucas has played three times.
In all there are 11 debutants in Menezes's 24-man squad for the game in New Jersey - with five Santos players in the party, though Robinho ends his loan spell with the Brazilian club on 4 August before his return to Manchester City.
Either Hernanes of Sao Paulo or fellow midfielder Sandro of Internacional will drop out of the 24-man squad, depending on which team wins the Copa Libertadores semi-final between the two sides.
Menezes, who succeeds Dunga as coach, was appointed by the Brazilian Football Federation on Saturday after a spell in charge of Corinthians.
Brazil, who will host the 2014 World Cup, sacked Dunga after their quarter-final exit at the World Cup in South Africa earlier this month.
Goalkeeper: Jefferson (Botafogo), Renan (Avai), Victor (Gremio)
Defenders: Andre Santos (Fenerbahce), Dani Alves (Barcelona), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Rafael da Silva (Manchester United), David Luis (Benfica), Henrique (Racing Santander), Rever (Atletico Mineiro), Thiago Silva (AC Milan)
Midfielders: Carlos Eduardo (Hoffenheim), Ederson (Lyon), Paulo Henrique Ganso (Santos), Hernanes (Sao Paulo), Jucilei (Corinthians), Lucas Leiva (Liverpool), Ramires (Benfica), Sandro (Internacional)
Forwards: Alexandre Pato (AC Milan), Andre (Santos), Diego Tardelli (Atletico Mineiro), Neymar (Santos), Robinho (Santos, on loan from Manchester City)

The wisdom of Socrates
By Julian Shea
http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/48432000/jpg/_48432982_socratesbiggetty.jpg
Socrates and Zico were among Brazil's biggest stars of the 1980s
If the organisers of the 2012 London Olympics think they have a tough task on their hands, they should spare a thought for the people of Brazil.
In the space of two years, the world's fifth largest country will play host to the next World Cup - in 2014 - and then its former capital Rio de Janeiro will become the first city in mainland South America to stage the Olympic Games, in 2016.
This double header will put the country in the international spotlight to an unprecedented degree, but with that opportunity comes a huge burden of responsibility to ensure that the two biggest sporting events on the planet are a success.
As a former Brazilian football captain, Socrates knows all about carrying the expectations of a nation - and in an exclusive interview he told BBC Sport it was an opportunity the country must seize with both hands.
http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/48400000/jpg/_48400110_socrates-%282%29--photo-patrick.jpg
"This is a big opportunity for the country to show what Brazil is really like - loads of people still think the capital is Buenos Aires," joked the 56-year-old, who captained his country at the 1982 World Cup in Spain.
"Brazil is like a new-born country because of the mixture of races and people - everyone who visits Brazil falls in love with the place, which is why we have such a mix. It also means we have a lot of creativity, but it is far from the ideal country that we could have. We could have better infrastructure, but it will come.
"Of course, the world will get to see our perfections and imperfections as a nation.
"We have to try to minimise them, and maybe some of the money to be spent on these two events might not go into the right hands.
"But it will be a good opportunity to invest in the infrastructure of the cities."
This may strike you as not being the sort of thing the average ex-footballer talks about. But then Socrates is not your average ex-footballer, in any way.
Socrates Brasileiro Sampaio de Souza Vieira de Oliveira, to give him his full name, delayed the start of his international career until the age of 25 so he could complete his studies as a doctor.
When asked to name his heroes, rather than opting for Brazilian footballers such as Pele and Garrincha, he picked John Lennon and Cuban revolutionary leader Che Guevara - like Socrates, a trained doctor.
In his retirement, he has added a doctorate in philosophy and fathered six children, and he continues to practice medicine in the town of Ribeirao Preto in addition to being a commentator on both football and cultural issues. He is currently writing a novel.
The reason for his visit to London was to speak at an event organised as part of the South Bank Centre's London Literary Festival and Festival Brazil and in a wide-ranging discussion, he revealed to BBC Sport some of the attitudes that make Brazilian football and culture so distinctive.
"In Brazil, the way we live is not like Europe where you have your schedule for the whole year - we don't know what we are doing for the next 15 minutes," he said.
"If you are born a Brazilian, when you play abroad, it doesn't matter how long you stay away, this stays inside you."
The Brazil team captained by Socrates at the 1982 World Cup also featured the thrilling talent of players such as Zico and Eder, and will long be remembered as one of the greatest sides never to win the World Cup.
But this lack of success at the highest level seems genuinely not to concern Socrates, as other things are more important.
"To win is not the most important thing, football is an art and should be showing creativity," he said.
"If [painters] Vincent van Gogh and Edgar Degas had known when they were doing their work the level of recognition that they were going to have, they would not have done them the same. You have to enjoy doing the art and not think 'will I win?'".
He also rejected any sense of disappointment at Brazil's failure at this year's World Cup, saying that the approach of coach Dunga had been wrong from the start.
"Brazilians were not disappointed, they didn't expect to win," he said.
"Dunga's approach did not reflect what Brazilians are really like. There was not enough creativity."
Creativity and self-expression are clearly all-important to Socrates, which is why he is almost as well known for his political opinions and activism as for his football.
The two passions famously came together as part of the Corinthians Democracy movement in the mid-1980s, when towards the end of Brazil's military dictatorship, the Sao Paolo club became the only one in the world run on a democratic basis, as a symbol of rejection of the military regime.
"Everyone at the club had the same right to vote - the person who looked after the kit and the club president, all their votes had the same weight," he said.
"It brought a conscience to the people that you could vote and change things - it made people realise together with other movements that were happening in the country that you could make change."
And he says getting involved in politics was something he felt an obligation to do.
"People gave me power as a popular footballer," he said.
"If people don't have power to say things, then I can say it on their behalf. If I was on the other side, not the side of the people, there would not be anyone to listen to my opinions.
"The best thing that football gave me was the chance to get to know human beings. I got to meet people who suffered a lot and also those on the other side of society, who had everything, so I could see both sides of the society we live in.
"If I had stayed a doctor I would have stayed in just one area of society and only got to know one side of life.
"Nowadays people sell the idea to children that football can make you rich and famous - but that's all.
"It doesn't mean anything, the main thing is that you get to know both sides of life and to experience meeting people."
His unforgettable achievements on the pitch and his fascinating exploits off it ensure that to this day, Socrates remains one of the most memorable, fascinating and distinctive footballers of all time - and not just for his name.
"When I named one of my sons Fidel, my mother said 'that's a bit of a strong name to give a child'. 'Mother,' I said, 'look at what you did to me,' he joked.
Socrates - not your average ex-footballer, in any way.

Maicon Dicoret dari Skuad Brasil
RIO DE JANEIRO, KOMPAS.com — Pelatih tim nasional (timnas) Brasil, Mano Menezes, mencoret bek Inter Milan, Maicon, dari skuad yang akan melakoni laga persahabatan melawan Amerika Serikat (AS), 10 Agustus mendatang. Maicon digantikan oleh bek Manchester United (MU) berusia 20 tahun, Rafael.
Mano melatih Brasil menggantikan Carlos Dunga, seusai Piala Dunia 2010 Afrika Selatan.
(DM)

Review: Samba Muda Berjaya
New Meadowlands stadium, New Jersey.
(afp/lex)
Duo youngster Santos, Neymar and Paolo Henrique top class!!! Anderson bakal cocok duet dgn Ramires di tengah. To bad Rafael batal 1st International cap!

Pelatih Samba Buka Pintu untuk Kaka
Muhayati Faridatun - Okezone
Kendati demikian, Menezes pantang putus asa.
(far)

Brazil’s New Special Edition ‘Blackout’ Kit Is Very, Very Black
Presenting: Nike’s new ‘blackout’ Brazil kit for 2011.
As you can see, it’s very, VERY black – a bit ‘post-apocalyptic Batman’ if you will…
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/Brasilblack1.jpg
Apparently the shirt is being marketed as a ‘special edition’ by Nike and as such Brazil won’t actually be wearing it competively at any point, but that doesn’t stop it from being utterly ravishing.
Pies approves.
Likey or no likey?

Rivaldo: Second place is nothing in Brazil
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/1372971_medium.jpg
At 38 years of age, iconic Brazilian attacking midfielder Rivaldo must have thought his stellar career was nearing its conclusion when he rejoined Brazilian minnows Mogi Mirim in late 2010. Yet in a dramatic turnaround, domestic heavyweights Sao Paulo subsequently swooped to sign the player on loan and the ex-Seleção superstar is back hitting the headlines once more.
In an exclusive interview with FIFA.com, the legendary No10 touched on a vast range of issues including staying fit as a veteran, gala displays in the European game, winning and losing in FIFA World Cup™ Finals and enjoying mutual respect with Zinedine Zidane.
FIFA.com: How does it feel to be back in Brazilian football after so long away?
Rivaldo: It’s been great so far. Of course there are still a few things I’ve got to get used to again after 14 years abroad, such as split training sessions and spending more time in hotels before matches. As far as Sao Paulo are concerned, I’ve never played for a club as well-structured as this. You can’t fail to train well: it’s paradise.
What’ll be your biggest challenge this season?
Everything in life is a challenge, but the size of the challenge is much greater for me because of my age. People look at you differently and they question whether you can play a full 90 minutes. Every player gets tired. Of course I’m not superhuman: I’m going to get tired, that’s normal. But after 15, 20 minutes of the second half everyone starts looking at me. Sometimes in games you get substituted for normal, tactical reasons, but when it happens to me people say it’s because I was tired, and that’s not always the case. I take part in every training session, morning and afternoon, to make sure I’m fit enough. If you can train with the rest of the squad, then you’re able to play 90 minutes. I don’t get any extra rest because I’m 38. People have that preconception (about older players) and it gets a bit annoying.
What kind of treatment can you expect from opposing players? We saw how Ronaldo endured some rugged tackling after he returned to Brazil, so has it been the same for you thus far?
People want to swap shirts with me, and there are players who tell me I was the best player at the (2002) World Cup and that really gives you a boost out on the pitch. But you’re out there, in the middle of all that chaos, so you just thank them then you’re off again. There’s not enough time to chat, is there? It’s really cool though. Sometimes you’ll get a player who’s marking you tightly and he’ll even apologise and say: ‘My coach told me to stick close to you and mark you. I know you’re a great player.’ But I tell him it’s fine, and to do what he has to do.
I’ve never played for a club as well-structured as this. You can’t fail to train well: it’s paradise.
You’ve always preferred to keep a low profile in public. Has it been hard to cope with all the fuss since your return?
I’m managing it ok. I’m a quiet, shy person and not someone who likes the limelight. I enjoy my job and I’m happy to do interviews, but I prefer them one-on-one like this. But I’m even getting the knack of doing press conferences: I’ve been called upon to do a few and everything’s gone ok! (laughs) I think that being the President of Mogi Mirim helped me, because I had to be a spokesperson for the club. But I don’t really like being on TV. I don’t want to rely on what people say about me to feel good: playing’s what I really enjoy.
When you were starting out at Santa Cruz back in 1991, did you ever imagine you’d enjoy such a stellar career?
I don’t think you can ever imagine that. When I was an amateur player at Santa Cruz, my dream was to sign professional forms at the club. But even though I played a lot of games for the Santa first team, I didn’t get a contract until I joined Mogi Mirim. I was at Mogi for a year and four months and suddenly possibilities started to open up for me. I went to Corinthians which was scary at first, but after a while I got used to it. It was there that I began to realise that I could go a long way, even further than the likes of Corinthians or Palmeiras. [Deportivo] La Coruna then came in for me, I went over there, took a few games to settle and realised I could aim even higher still. In 1996 I was rated as one of the best foreign players in Spain, after Ronaldo. I scored 21 goals and Ronaldo got 34 for Barcelona. I stayed there (with Depor) for just a year before I replaced him (at Barça). That put a lot of pressure on me but I always said that ‘Ronaldo is Ronaldo and Rivaldo is Rivaldo. You’ll have to take me as I am.’ I wasn’t a striker, I’m a midfielder – that’s why he scored 34 goals and I got 21. Things gradually started to go well for me, the goals flowed and I realised I was capable of becoming a fans’ favourite at Barcelona and could even become the best player in the world. Things were falling into place.
Was there a particular moment you feel kick-started your career?
My life changed, in terms of becoming famous, when I scored that goal (for Mogi Mirim) from the centre circle straight from kick-off against Noroeste. If I’m not mistaken, it was on 18 April 1993. My name was in all the papers the next day, talking about the kind of goal that even Pele had never scored. I wasn’t even 21 yet and I was being compared to Pele. Football’s about the little things sometimes, and that little thing changed my life. It’s what began opening doors for me.
What do you think is the best performance you’ve ever put in?
Can I mention several? The 3-1 first-leg win with Palmeiras against Corinthians in the final of the 1994 Brazilian championship. The game against Valencia in 2001 when I scored a hat-trick, one of which was an overhead kick. There was also that game for Barcelona against AC Milan in the San Siro (in the 2000/01 UEFA Champions League), when I scored all our goals in a 3-3 draw. And then you have the World Cup Final (in 2002), when I was involved in both Ronaldo’s goals. He scored the goals, but you can still see me on the TV replays! (laughs)
On the suject of the 2002 Seleção, how do you think that squad managed to perform so well despite the criticism dished out by the Brazilian media prior to the tournament?
We made hard work of qualifying, and only made sure in our final game against Venezuela. The qualifying phase was a difficult period for me, because in Ronaldo’s absence all eyes were on me. There was that game against Colombia at the Morumbi stadium (in Sao Paulo in November 2000), which we won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Roque Junior right at the end. We got booed, we got some stick. But then we had a get-together outside Brazil, the squad grew more united and the results started to come. Our confidence increased and when the lads took the field there was a good, relaxed vibe between us.
After the disappointment of defeat in the Final of France 1998, the sense of joy at winning in Korea/Japan 2002 must have been incredible.
There’s always talk about squad unity when you win the title, but we were a united squad in 1998 under [Mario] Zagallo too, even though we lost the Final. The lads were relaxed, but at the end of the day everything hung on that one game, and we lost to France. I’m not even going to talk about what happened to Ronaldo, because there are a lot of people from that Seleção who use that as an excuse: they say things would have been different. But I’m of the opinion that, even if he’d been 100 per cent, we’d have still lost because we played badly. I knew what had happened beforehand as I’d been to Ronaldo’s room to see him, but once you get out on the pitch you forget about all that. If we had won, everybody would have said how we’d overcome adversity, but because we lost everyone’s focus turned to that incident. Personally I felt fine as I took the pitch, just like any other game. France put in their best display of that World Cup and Zidane scored two goals from set pieces, which killed us off. And of course we were playing on their home patch, with them charging around at 200km per hour. I’d like to see how any other national side would cope if they were losing 1-0 against Brazil in the 2014 Final, for example. That was France’s big chance, but I don’t think even they expected to be 2-0 up in the first half after two set-piece goals. It was the worst defeat (I experienced). It was really sad, particularly with the amount of rumours and nonsense that were flying around afterwards. It got to the point where even my mum asked me if we’d been offered something to lose that game. But people don’t realise just how much it hurts to lose a final. We travelled ten, 12 hours to get to Brasilia and, though none of the players wanted to, we were forced to go there by the President of the Republic. Second place is nothing in Brazil. People were booing us, swearing at us, and only two or three were clapping. In other countries it’s a different story, but when it comes to Brazil and World Cups, only winning counts.
That said, on the back of that FIFA World Cup you went on to enjoy one of the finest periods of your career, which ended in winning the 1999 FIFA World Player award.
I was a good age, around 26 or 27 years old, an age when players are at their peak and when everybody respects you. When you get onto the ball, people think three or four times before deciding whether to try and tackle you. Your opponents respect you and your markers give you a couple of metres of space. I still remember the games I played later on against Real Madrid, after Zidane had signed for them. He’d get on the ball and I’d just shadow him, and he’d do the same with me. When I had the ball, I could sense that he was showing me respect – you could feel that it was mutual. You might end up being embarrassed, as you're dealing with a Zidane or a Rivaldo, and you can't let that happen. It’s better to let them control the ball, look around and pass it to someone else.

Neymar,Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Pele: How Do the Brazilians Stack Up?
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/110931852_display_image.jpg
Brazilian Striker Neymar is set to become the next big thing in World Football. The 19 year old currently plays for the Brazilian club Santos, but is already involved in some major summer transfer drama over a potential move to English Premier League giants Chelsea. Neymar has seen his stock rise even more lately, when he scored two goals for Brazil in a friendly against Scotland that took place right in England's capital city of London.
Brazil has blessed this planet with two incredible gifts. Beautiful women, and footballers who play beautiful football. Neymar is far from the first Brazilian to dazzle the world with goals and flair, he is just simply the latest. Neymar is now preparing to have his name mentioned a long with some of the other great Brazilians who have played the game, and not just because of his hairstyle.
Before Neymar there was Ronaldinho, who thrilled fans with his creativity and ability to score from distance. Before Ronaldinho there was Ronaldo, who in his heyday was arguably the greatest striker who ever lived. Of course, the first Brazilian to bless the planet with his great ability was Pele, the man many consider to be the best player to ever play the game.
With such a high number of incredibly talented players before him, Neymar is unlikely to become the greatest Brazilian player to have ever played, the talent above him is just too good. But here is how Neymar stacks up against three of the greatest Brazilians to ever play.
Neymar (Santos: 2009 - Present)
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/110936620_display_image.jpg
The 19 year old Brazilian striker has been with Brazilian club Santos since he was 11 years old. Neymar signed with the club in 2003, and moved his way up through the ranks of their youth system.
Neymar made his senior debut in March of 2009, one week later he scored his first goal. With Neymar though, it would be unfair to say that all he has done since then has been score more goals at an incredible rate.
Not only is Neymar scoring goal after goal for Santos, but he is doing it with incredible style. Neymar's incredible footwork allows him to dazzle both fans and opponents, with facinating tricks.
What makes Neymar so dangerous, is that he has the ability to control the ball like the worlds best midfielders, while also being able to finish like the world's best strikers. At just 19 years of age, he has already drawn comparisons to Brazilian greats Pele and Robinho, a midfielder and a striker.
Neymar scored 14 goals in 48 appearances during his first senior season with Santos. The following season he really took off, scoring 42 goals in 60 appearances. Neymar scored 11 goals in eight Copa Do Brasil matches, including five in one match. Neymar has also started his International career with a bang, scoring three times in his first three appearances for Brazil.
Neymar has already gotten his name thrown around in several different transfer rumors linking him to several different European clubs. In 2010 Santos rejected a £12 million bid from West Ham United for Santos. Since then, he has gotten the attention of all the big clubs including: Chelsea, Manchester United, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, and Juventus.
Rumors have been spread from almost all clubs about securing the services of the young striker. Real Madrid claimed that they had signed a pre-contract with Neymar's agent. Meanwhile, this winter there were several reports that Chelsea had reached a deal that would bring Neymar to Stamford Bridge this summer, but some parties have denied those reports. Neymar himself has even hinted that he would favor a move to Juventus.
In 2010 Santos placed a €30 million price tag on Neymar, and signed him to a new long term deal with Santos. Neymar himself said it was not yet time for him to leave Santos.
Neymar certainly has the skill set to become the next big thing out of Brazil. However he is still young and he still must go out and prove himself over his entire career before we can properly place
Ronaldo (1993-2011: Club Career)
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/1570189_display_image.jpg
Brazilian striker Ronaldo's career amassed 18 seasons, seven clubs, one national team, 352 club goals, and a whole bunch of personal awards. When all was said and done, Ronaldo may go down as arguably the greatest striker to ever play in world football.
Ronaldo spent one season at Brazilian club Crezeiro, where he scored 12 goals in 14 appearances as a teenager. The following season he moved to PSV Eindhoven in Holland. In his first season, Ronaldo scored 35 goals in 36 appearances in all competitions. A knee injury kept him out for most the of the following season, but he still scored 19 goals in his 21 appearances.
Ronaldo's performances in Holland attracted the interests of the big clubs, and it was Barcelona who came calling for the Brazilian. A disagreement about his contract though, would limit Ronaldo to spending just one season with the Catalyns. He did make an impact in his one year though, scoring 47 goals in 49 apperances, and helping Barcelona win the UEFA Cup Winners Cup, Copa Del Ray, and the Supercopa de Espana. He won FIFA Player of the Year honors during his one season at Barca.
Ronaldo then moved to Inter Milan, where he spent five years with the Italians. However, he was limited to just 24 appearances over his final three years with Inter due to a knee injury. Nevertheless, he still scored 59 goals during his time with Inter, picking up another FIFA Player of the Year award and his first ever Ballon d'Or.
It was only a matter of time before Real Madrid would come calling for the Brazilian superstar. Ronaldo signed with Real Madrid for €39 million. Ronaldo scored 104 goals during his five seasons for Real Madrid. However his production started to fall off towards the end of his stay there due to injuries and weight issues. He fell out of favor with manager Fabio Capello and was sold to AC Milan for just €7.5 million.
At AC Milan Ronaldo was just a shadow of his former self, playing in just 20 matches during his two years with the club. He scored just nine goals, and his European club career had come to an end.
Ronaldo returned home to Brazilian club Corinthians where he regained some of his goal-scoring form. He scored 25 goals during his first two seasons with the club. He retired after just four matches in his third season.
Ronaldo finished his club career with three FIFA World Player of the Year awards and he won the Ballon d'Or twice. While many may consider him to be the greatest striker of all time, he takes a hit because he bounced around from team to team. In addition, Ronaldo never won a UEFA Champions League, and only won two league titles, both coming with Real Madrid.
Ronaldo: (Brazil 1994-2006)
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/71272988_display_image.jpg
In addition to one of the greatest club careers ever, Ronaldo has compiled one of, if not the most impressive international careers in the world.
Ronaldo was included in Brazil's World Cup squad four times, being selected when he was just 17 years old for Brazil's World Cup winning squad for the 1994 World Cup. Though he did not play during the 1994 World Cup, Ronaldo surely made up for it during his next three. By the end of the 2006 World Cup, Ronaldo had set a new record for most World Cup goals by a single player with 15. Ronaldo also scored two goals in the 2002 World Cup Final, leading Brazil to a victory.
Ronaldo made his debut with the Brazilian national team in 1994 and became a permant fixture for Brazil until after the 2006 World Cup 12 years later.
During his time with Brazil, Ronaldo scored 62 international goals, including 15 in 20 matches in 1997. His major contributions to Brazil came at the World Cup, where he scored a record 15 goals over three competitions.
Ronaldo scored four times during the 1998 tournament, but was un-impressive in the Brazil's final loss to France. In 2002 Ronaldo came back with a vengence scoring nine goals during the tournament, including two in the final.
Ronaldo was included in the starting XI during the 2006 World Cup despite being jeered by fans for being slow and overweight. He remained in the starting XI and scored three goals, including the record breaking 15th World Cup goal.
Ronaldo's contributions for Brazil have been so great that in June 2011 he will play in a special sending off match for Brazil, something that is not usually done at the international level.
Ronaldinho (1998- Gremio, PSG, Barcelona, AC Milan, Flamengo)
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/106887172_display_image.jpg
Ronaldinho came around at just the right time to become one of the most recognizable football players in America. His free flowing style of play, ability to take free kicks, and tremendous footwork, made him an easy player to promote. ESPN encouraged viewers to tune in to the 2006 World Cup just to see Ronaldinho, while EA Sports put him on the cover of their FIFA video game several years in a row.
Ronaldinho was also aided by playing at the start of the youtube era. Shorty after youtube took off, compilations of Ronaldinho's tricks and goals were sprouting up all over the internet. This helped the Brazilian take off into international superstardom and become one of the most recognizable faces in world football.
Ronaldinho made his debut with Brazilian club Gremio. He scored 24 goals in 54 matches for the club and was linked with a move to Arsenal. However that deal fell through when he could not obtain a work permit, and instead he signed with Paris Saint-Germain. Ronaldinho scored 25 goals in 77 matches during his two seasons in France, propelling him to sign with Spanish giants Barcelona, where his career would really take off.
In five seasons at the Nou Camp, Ronaldinho began dazzling boht Spanish and European opponents with fancy tricks and an incredible ability to score goals from almost anywhere on the field. He scored 22 goals in 48 appearances during his first season with Barcelona, and had an incredible 14 assists. Ronaldinho won his first league title, and his first of back-to-back FIFA World Player of the Year award.
In his five year career with Barcelona, Ronaldinho made 207 appearances with the club. He scored a remarkable 95 goals, and had an even more remarkable 80 assists. He helped Barcelona to two La Liga titles and a UEFA Champions League title.
Ronaldinho moved to AC Milan in 2008, where he struggled to maintain the high level of play he had at Barcelona. While he did have an amazing 29 assists in his three seasons there, he scored only 26 goals, including just one during his final season.
Ronaldinho is now in the twilight of his career, playing it out back home in Brazil with his new club Flamengo. He will always be remembered as one of the biggest international superstars, with special thanks to the many video's dedicated to him on youtube, which will help him live on for quite some time.
Pele (1956-1977: Santos/New York Cosmos)
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/91334665_display_image.jpg
One of the biggest mistakes sports fans often make is taking something that just happened and immediately claiming that this play, or this player, was the best one ever. Brazilian superstar Pele never played in Europe. He spent almost his entire career playing in Brazil, before finishing it out in America when most Americans didn't even know what soccer was.
Since Pele played so long ago, we have little video left of him actually playing, and he came around way before things like youtube could ensure that he lived on forever. Soccer took a dip in popularity in the 80's, even in England, which led to the start of the Premier League in the early 90's. There are so many new and young soccer fans just growing attached to the beautfiul game now, that weren't even born when Pele was playing.
For those fans, all they know about Pele is the stories they hear about him. For the older fans, they have their memories, but those memories are fading. People watch the great tricks of Cristiano Ronaldo, or watch Lionel Messi just float through defenders and want to annoint them as the best players ever. The truth is, with the amount of new fans football has picked up in the last six years alone, Messi and Ronaldo are the two best players these fans have ever seen.
In basketball, the NBA is always looking for the next Michael Jordan. People are now saying Kobe Bryant is better then Jordan, but go back and watch when Jordan was playing. You will instantly think otherwise as you remember just how good Jordan was.
If only we could do the same thing for Pele. If we could re-watch the matches Pele played in the arguments would be squashed immediately. It would be clear that Pele was the best that ever lived. No one has replaced him yet, and who knows if someone ever will.
Pele played in 656 competitive matches for Santos, scoring 643 goals. When you include friendlies, he played in 1120 matches, scoring an astonishing 1087 goals. Pele led Santos to about as many trophies as you could possibly lead a club to, winning 32 official trophies. In the twighlight of his career Pele played 107 matches for the New York Cosmos. He scored a total of 64 goals and led the Cosmos to the NASL league title in 1977.
If you think the competition in Brazil was not strong enough, Pele scored 77 times in 92 international matches with Brazil. He scored 12 goals in four World Cup tournaments. He led Brazil to a World Cup title three times, including back-to-back titles in 1958 and 1962.
Pele is the most decorated player in football history. Unfortunately, all we have of Pele are our memories, which fade over time. We are now looking to replace Pele with the new "big thing," but the truth is, the gold standard of greatness starts and ends with Pele. While the Brazilians that came after him have been tremendous players, they are still not yet on the level of Pele.

Klub juara bertahan Zenit St Petersburg memimpin klasemen sementara dengan 13 poin setelah menang 3-0 atas tim papan bawah Krylya Sovietov Samara, Minggu (23/4). (ant/lex)

(GL)

Pele told Neymar to stop diving
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/pele_told_neymar_to_stop_diving.jpg
Pele has never been known for handing out the best advice -- especially to young Brazilian footballers looking to make the jump to Europe -- but he has told 19-year-old Neymar at least one thing that was genius: Stop. Diving.
From the AP:
"He is a player with a body that can't take a lot of hits," Pele told a news conference. "A lot of times he will fall because he can't do anything else, but he was overdoing it.
"Even when he is fouled, he can't make a spectacle out of it," he said. "I told him that he really needs to avoid that."
So, Pele acknowledges that skinny Neymar can't take a lot of hits, yet he still decided to try and break him by having the kid carry him and his Velcro shoes a while back. Or maybe that was just some kind of Pele punishment for diving. "Every time you go down easy, you must carry Pele to his doctor's appointments! Tell your biceps to stop snapping!"

The bold hairstyling choices of Brazil’s Copa America team
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/the_bold_hairstyling_choices_of_brazils_copa_ameri ca_team.jpg
Since both of Sunday's Copa America matches ended in scoreless draws and the rest of the tournament thus far has failed to immediately fulfill lofty expectations, much of the focus wandered to the audacious hairstyles that Brazil put on display in its match against Venezuela. And that may or may not have caused Dani Alves to bicycle kick Robinho.
Behold! One of the strongest cases for wackiest collection of hairstyles on a single football team in recent memory...
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/the_bold_hairstyling_choices_of_brazils_copa_ameri ca_team4.jpg
Robinho first started to cultivate this 'do near the end of Milan's Scudetto winning season. Now, it looks like a cross between Elvis and a Japanese anime character. I'm pretty sure it can cut through a tomato with ease.

Neymar's highlighted fauxhawk is nothing new, but it does seem to be getting increasingly unruly. As his reputation grows, so does the fauxhawk. It's almost like a physical representation of his ego at this point
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/the_bold_hairstyling_choices_of_brazils_copa_ameri ca_team2.jpg
Though, David Luiz did not play in Brazil's first match, his Sideshow Bob curls still command attention. Then again, on this team it seems downright reasonable.
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/the_bold_hairstyling_choices_of_brazils_copa_ameri ca_team3.jpg
Then, there's Dani Alves. Perhaps desperate to stand out, Alves decided to go with a 'hawk of his own for the tournament. Then, just to put it over the top, he decided to bleach it blonde.
If Brazil fails to win this tournament, I think we have now pinpointed the reason why.

Ronaldinho returns to Brazil roster

SAO PAULO -- Ronaldinho is returning to the Brazilian national team for next month's exhibition game against Ghana in London.
Ronaldinho missed the 2010 World Cup and had been summoned only once by coach Mano Menezes since -- a 1-0 loss to Argentina in November.
Also returning to the squad for the Sept. 5 game are Real Madrid right back Marcelo and FC Porto striker Hulk. In addition, Menezes selected Neymar, Paulo Henrique Ganso, Lucas and Robinho.

Ronaldinho vs. Neymar: Who Shone Brightest for Brazil vs. Ghana?
Two players at very different points in their careers were the star attraction at Craven Cottage last night, as Brazil took on Ghana in southwest London.
I was at the game to watch Neymar, the 19-year-old whom Pele called "the next Pele" and whose prominence in the gossip columns this summers tells you will carry a monumental weight of expectations when he makes the inevitable move from Santos to one of Europe's biggest clubs.
The player himself admitted last night that Barcelona and Real Madrid are "battling" to sign him. No deal has been done yet, but it's only a matter of time before the man with the Mohawk is a regular sight in the Champions League.
Brazil lined up with Neymar to the right of striker Leandro Damaio last night. Meanwhile, the man on the opposite flank was Ronaldinho, recalled to the international scene by coach Mano Menezes and given the chance to prove he still has plenty to offer.
The 31-year-old former Barcelona and Milan star stands accused by many of wasting his potential. But after seeing his influence fade in Serie A, Ronaldinho appears to have recaptured his enthusiasm back in his homeland with Flamengo.
On last night's evidence, he's unquestionably making strides in the right direction. Looking lean and fit, Ronaldinho was at the center of things at Craven Cottage, floating around in the final third and sparking Brazil into life every time he took possession.
"He played very well and is a player we needed to bring back to the team," said Menezes after Brazil's 1-0 win. "International football is much faster nowadays and he found it a bit difficult at the beginning.
"But then he got into the rhythm and showed what he is all about in the second half. He played really well and the goalkeeper made a wonderful save from him. We need to bring him back to the international team."
Neymar was equally impressive. The teenager was limited to a handful of contributions in the first half, but he came into his own when Brazil emerged for the second 45, taking on a Ghana side reduced to 10 men after the sending off of Daniel Opare.
It was when he moved into more central areas that Neymar's talent truly began to shine through. The teenager glides in possession and rides tackles instinctively. For one so young and so inexperienced, he conducted Brazil's play like a veteran.
The big question for Neymar now is how he will cope with the huge weight of expectations that will follow him all the way to the 2014 World Cup.
Judging on this evidence, he'll do just fine, and who knows, he might just be lining up in the same side as Ronaldinho as Brazil look to win their home tournament.

Legenda Brasil Socrates Dilarikan ke Rumah Sakit
http://klimg.com/bola.net/library/p/Socrates-07-09-11-getty.jpg
(espn/lex)

Believe the Neymar hype
The 19-year-old they call 'the next Pele' entered the stadium to the whistles and screams he's long grown accustomed to. With a career trajectory as steep as his trademark Mohawk, Neymar is arguably the most hyped footballer on the planet right now.
The Brazilian was already big news before rumours of a deal to join Barcelona in 2013 took his star into the stratosphere. Neymar's club Santos moved quickly to refute them, but even they accept it's only a matter of time and money before the twinkle-toed teenager arrives in Europe for good.
If Chelsea had their way, Brazil's friendly against Ghana at Craven Cottage would have felt like a home game. But in football there are still some things even Roman Ambramovich can't buy, and it says much about Neymar's potential that those controlling his interests aren't ready to cash in their chips yet.
It was three-and-a-half minutes before he saw the ball on a wet and windswept night in South-West London. Taking possession out wide he feinted to go inside, shaped to go down the line and was unceremoniously chopped to the turf. A few seconds, a few touches - that's all it takes Neymar to get the crowd to their feet these days.
Operating on Brazil's right, in a three-pronged attack spearheaded by Leandro Damaio, Neymar eased into the game and grew steadily in influence as a highly competitive first half played out before a hysterical crowd. There were times his slight frame gave up possession too easily, and times he went to ground too easily. But there was still much to excite.
Two of Neymar's best moments came in combination with the familiar face mirroring his duties on the Brazil's left - a man who knows more than most about the weight of expectancy, Ronaldinho. The 31-year-old is said to be undergoing something of a footballing renaissance of late. Perhaps the emergence of Neymar has sparked a new enthusiasm in him.
The pair certainly seemed to be relishing each other's company when they exchanged instinctive passes twice on the edge of the Ghana box. And there was more than a touch of the Ronaldinho about Neymar's disguised, as his flicked pass over the top threatened to unlock the Ghana defence.
Neymar's most telling contribution in the first 45 minutes ultimately proved to be the foul he drew from Daniel Opare however. The defender picked up a yellow card for the tackle, and was duly sent off on 33 minutes for another clumsy challenge on Lucio. With Ghana down to ten men, Brazil were freed to enjoy themselves. When Damaio put them ahead on the stroke of half-time the result was all-but assured.
With the shackles off, Neymar was given license to roam more centrally in the second half and he positively thrived in the role. Drifting around behind the main striker he begged for the ball at every opportunity and began to exhibit the swagger he's built a reputation on. Suddenly he was bouncing off the challenges that were knocking him down in first half. What's more, he was enjoying himself.
What struck me most was how comfortable he looked at Brazil's hub - launching attacks and dictating the far more experienced players around him. Neymar was making just his 11th international appearance at Craven Cottage, yet at times he commanded the field as if he'd been playing in yellow and blue for a decade. If his home World Cup had come this summer, he would have been ready.
As it stands Neymar will have to wait three more years before taking to the game's biggest stage, by which time he will almost certainly be playing for one of the biggest clubs in Europe and be carrying the hopes of a football nation on his slim shoulders. What price the story of Brazil 2014 being Neymar versus Lionel Messi. You wouldn't bet against it.
For now, however, Neymar remains in the shadow of a man who's been accused of letting his potential go to waste. When the final whistle blew at Craven Cottage it was Ronaldinho who drew the biggest cheers from the Brazilian fans. And it is Ronaldinho who will be most prominent in Tuesday's reports, having come close with a trademark free-kick late on.
The great entertainer showed glimpses of his best on Monday night and Brazil's footballing heart will be praying he can now complete a full rehabilitation. After all, the thought of Ronaldinho and Neymar working in tandem in 2014 is about as Brazilian as it gets. It might just happen.
What better antidote to a drab and drizzly night in English capital than the visit of the world's most alluring football team, with the game's brightest young talent at their hub and one of its most gifted talents on the comeback trail

Brazil star rules out Chelsea switch
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/Neymar_3.jpg
Brazil sensation Neymar has all but ruled out a move to Chelsea while on a visit to west London.
The Santos striker played in his country's 1-0 win over Ghana at Fulham's Craven Cottage ground on Monday night and confirmed after the game that his future lies in Spain.
Roman Abramovich is believed to have tabled two bids for the 19-year-old and looks unlikely to succeed with any future approaches.
"Real Madrid and Barcelona have come calling for me. Both clubs want me," he told Spanish paper AS.
"I can confirm it, but I have not reached an agreement with any of them.
"The interest from Spain's big two means that my self-esteem is very high because I am being followed by two big clubs like these."

Class Is Permanent: The Resurrection of Ronaldinho
Brazilian legend has still got it.
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/PA-11536609.jpg
When Ronaldinho left Italian Serie A giants AC Milan in January 2011, the list of potential suitors was probably less glamorous than most people would have expected for a 30-year-old former World Cup winner and two-time World Player of the Year.
Less than five years after winning the Champions League and La Liga in the same season, his fitness, attitude and lifestyle were being questioned on a regular basis in the press and the Barcelona legend found himself linked with moves to Blackburn Rovers and L.A. Galaxy before he eventually agreed to return to Brazil and join Flamengo.
It was a move which, to most European fans, seemed to finally signal the end of Ronaldinho’s reign as a genuine top level footballer. Ronaldinho, however, claimed it was far from an admission of his declining ability and instead a career move which would help him realise his remaining footballing ambitions.
“All I care about is playing football. I am still a player and there is a World Cup in Brazil in four years time, which is why I’m back,” he told the press upon arrival.
Having failed to even make the 23-man squad for the 2010 World Cup, even after resurgent form for AC Milan at the tail end of the 2009/10 season, the idea of a 34-year-old Ronaldinho representing Brazil four years later at the 2014 World Cup seemed pretty far-fetched.
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/PA-11419551.jpg
Fast-forward eight months and the idea suddenly has merit and seems worthy of discussion.
Ronaldinho was recently recalled to the national team set up for the first time in almost a year by coach Mano Menezes for a friendly against Ghana, in London, on 5th September 2011. He played the full 90 minutes in a 1-0 win, earning his 89th cap in the process.
“There’s a long time to go yet [until the World Cup] but a player like Ronaldinho has got the qualities we need. He is a leader, has that technical part to his game and he is a player you can rely on to help with all the young players coming into the team now,” Menezes said.
“He played very well and is a player we needed to bring back to the team. He is showing now that he is still the same player he once was.”
In truth, Ronaldinho is not the same player he once was and the realisation of this fact has actually been instrumental in his rejuvenation. At club level his coach, Vanderlei Luxemburgo, has moved Ronaldinho into a more advanced attacking role, primarily to compensate for his diminishing pace.
The result has been a return to prolific goal-scoring form. ‘El Gaucho’ has scored 12 goals in 19 league games including a hat-trick in a 5-4 win over rivals Santos; a game in which Flamengo found themselves 3-0 down after just 26 minutes. The new role has also helped nurture the creative side of his game, with Ronaldinho using his intelligence and unquestionable technical ability to provide chances for his team-mates on a regular basis as well.
Now 31, his inability to take on teams by himself and consistently accelerate away from opponents like he could in his prime has, almost accidently, helped to make him more of an all-round team player. His first touch remains as good as any footballer on the planet, the tricks are still there when necessary but most importantly, for the first time in years, he seems to be genuinely enjoying himself on the pitch.
His change of on-field position and style of play has not been the only factor behind Ronaldinho’s career resurrection. Some observers have pin-pointed the exact date they believe the revival really began: 19th June, 2011.
At the end of a disappointing 0-0 draw against Botafogo, Ronaldinho was substituted in the 88th minute. It was probably an unnecessary substitution and in the process he was singled out by Flamengo supporters, who jeered him for a perceived lack of effort. It has since been speculated that this was a deliberate act by Vanderlei Luxemburgo to re-awaken and motivate Ronaldinho. If that is in fact true, his form in the subsequent months has proven it to be a masterstroke in man-management.
2014 is a long way away and it remains to be seen whether in the next few years Ronaldinho can legitimately challenge for a spot in the World Cup squad. Perhaps his biggest obstacle will be the lack of competitive international football Brazil have between now and then. As the host nation, they are not required to take part in the World Cup qualification process. As a result, the only semi-competitive football the full international side will play in the next few years is the Confederations Cup.
Another avenue to be explored then is a potential place for Ronaldinho in the Brazi squad for the Olympics in London next year.
“The Olympics and the World Cup are coming. These are my objectives,” he recently told reporters, indicating his desire to be included.
His experience would certainly benefit the Olympic team and it would also provide a helpful opportunity to assess Ronaldinho’s influence on a competitive international tournament in the new decade.
For now though, the best food for thought he can provide Brazil coach Mano Menezes is the continuation of his recent club form. If Ronaldinho can stay fit, keep his off-the-field lifestyle in check and maintain consistency, he may yet achieve his dream of leading Brazil out for the opening game of the 2014 World Cup in his home nation.

Ronaldo: Neymar can be world's best
Legendary Brazil striker Ronaldo believes that Neymar could become the "best player in the world" if he leaves Santos and moves to Europe.
Neymar, 19, has been openly courted by Barcelona and Real Madrid for a number of months and has been heavily tipped to complete a switch to Spain in 2012, though he has denied that an agreement has been reached with either club.
However, Ronaldo - who moved to Europe at the age of 17 and enjoyed notable success with PSV, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan - thinks that leaving Brazil could be the making of Neymar.
"Leaving aside selflessness and patriotism, Neymar has to look at the things which will help him conquer the world,'' Ronaldo told ESPN. "If he can play in Europe the way he does in Brazil, very soon he would be the best player in the world.
"I cannot decide for him. But it is clear that if Neymar came to me for advice I would say the best thing is to go to Europe and choose the best team for him."
Ronaldo and fellow 2002 World Cup-winner Roberto Carlos have regularly repeated their belief that Neymar needs to move to Europe in order to fulfil his vast potential, with Carlos insisting last week that his former club Real Madrid would be an ideal destination for the young forward.
"I hope Neymar is intelligent and is not just limited to Brazil," Carlos said. "I told Neymar to stop messing around and join Real Madrid when I spoke to him last week.
"I said he ought to sign for them now. However, he is like a superstar in Brazil and people are stopping him from leaving. Neymar is like the Cristiano Ronaldo of Santos - a leading player, but I hope he signs for Madrid."

Ronaldinho's back.
The Brazilian superstar was once considered the best player in the world. He won the 2004 and 2005 FIFA World Player of the Year award during his time with Spanish club Barcelona.
Since that time, Ronaldinho's career has sputtered. He joined AC Milan in 2008, but flamed out, and was sent back to Brazil just a few years later to join Flamengo.
His terrific play with Flamengo has earned him the to get back in the national team picture. He has registered 13 goals in just 23 appearances for the club, and is easily one of the club's best players.
With his club rejuvenation going well, Ronaldinho decided to lead Brazil to a victory in the team's international friendly against Mexico.
With just over 10 minutes to play before stoppage time, Brazil was awarded a free kick just outside the 18-yard box , and allowed Ronaldinho to step up and take the kick.
Ronaldinho didn't disappoint. As you can see in the video above, he curved to ball over the wall, and into the top right corner with perfect placement.
At that point in the game, Mexico was leading 1-0, and Brazil was desperate for an equalizer. They finally got it off the foot of Ronaldinho, and Junior Vieira da Silva Marcelo provided the game winner just minutes later. The victory is more impressive when you consider that Brazil was down to ten-men following a Dani Alves in the 45th minute.
It seemed like the good old days for Ronaldinho, who scored his first International goal since 2008.
Keep an eye out for Ronaldinho, who is looking to make a case to be a part of Brazil's squad for the 2014 World Cup.

Real Madrid midfielder Kaka has earned a call-up to the Brazil national team for the first time since the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Kaka has been selected for the first time under manager Mano Menezes for the South Americans' upcoming friendlies against Gabon and Egypt. The playmaker has enjoyed a fine season thus far at Real Madrid, prompting Menezes to include Kaka in his squad after a 15-month absence.
"I had always said, and he was aware of it, that if [Kaka] returned to form and he started to play regularly again, he would return to the team," Menezes said. "This is a good opportunity for that to happen."
The former AC Milan star wrote on his official Facebook and Twitter accounts: "I'm very happy to return to the national team. After a long time, the emotion of coming back is very big. Thanks to all those who, like me, where waiting for this moment."
No players involved in the domestic Brazilian Campeonato competition have been included, with Menezes preferring to allow the home-based players to concentrate on the closing stages of the league. Brazil play Gabon in Libreville on November 10, before facing Egypt four days later in Doha.
Brazil:
Neto (Fiorentina), Diego Alves (Valencia), Dani Alves (Barcelona), Fabio da Silva (Man Utd), Alex Sandro (Porto), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Thiago Silva (AC Milan), David Luiz (Chelsea), Luisao (Benfica), Adriano (Barcelona), Lucas Leiva (Liverpool), Elias (Sporting Lisbon), Sandro (Tottenham), Luiz Gustavo (Bayern Munich), Hernanes (Lazio), Bruno Cesar (Benfica), Fernandinho (Shakhtar Donetsk), Kaka (Real Madrid), Dudu (Dynamo Kiev), William (Shakhtar Donetsk), Kleber (Porto), Jonas (Valencia), Hulk (Porto)

The news out of Brazil late last week was big.
According to ESPNSoccernet, Neymar agreed in principle to a summer transfer from Santos to Real Madrid. The deal will reportedly be worth £53m. Neymar, 19, is expected to sign a contract worth £1 million per month.
So who is this 19-year-old Brazilian sensation?
Everybody knows that he scores goals in bunches and is a member of Santos, a former club of Pelé. But what else do we know about him?
If the reports are correct, he's about to be one of the highest-paid, most famous players in Europe.
It only makes sense, then, that we would want to know everything about him.

Santos, Neymar's club for most of the past decade, owns 50 percent of his rights. The rest belongs to other outside parties.
DIS, a subsidiary of Brazilian supermarket chain Sonda Group, owns 40 percent after making a deal with Neymar's family in 2009.
TEISA, an acronym for Terceira Estrela Investimentos (Third Star Investments) S.A., owns 5 percent.
Neymar's Father Could Get a Huge Windfall from the Deal
According to this Goal.com report, Neymar's father could be a very rich man soon.
The report says Neymar's father will get 10 percent of the total transfer fee, plus 10 percent of Santos' share.
His Full Name Is…
… Neymar da Silva Santos Junior.
He's sometimes known as Neymar Junior.
Neymar Wants to Play in Santos' Centenary Match
Santos was founded April 14, 1912, coincidentally just hours before the Titanic sank.
To mark 100 years, the club has been planning a centenary match for next spring.
The desired opponent? Real Madrid.
Neymar Scored Four Goals Recently Against Atletico Paranaense
Santos beat Atletico Paranaense 4-1 on Oct. 29.
Neymar scored all four goals for Santos.
He started with a second-minute penalty, scored another spot-kick early in the second half, and finished his four-goal glut in the 70th minute.
Santos Has Been Neymar's Only Club
Neymar played with the youth team from 2003-09 and made his full debut as a 17-year-old in 2009.
West Ham Bid £12 Million for Him
That's right.
West Ham made a bid of £12 million for Neymar in the summer of 2010.
We don't think we have to tell you it was rejected.
Neymar Maintains His Own Blog
Here's the link (http://www.neymaroficial.com/Blog)
Good luck, though. It's in Portuguese.
Neymar Has Been Getting Advice from Pelé
That's right: Pelé, who also played for Santos, has been acting as something of a mentor to the young star.
The advice? Stay at Santos a little longer, at least through the Club World Cup in December.
Looks like Neymar listened.
The Scottish FA Don't Like Him
Brazil played Scotland in a friendly last spring at the Emirates Stadium in London, after which Neymar accused the Scottish fans of racism.
The Scottish FA angrily denied the accusation and demanded an apology.
Neymar refused.
His Team Was Involved in a Brawl Earlier This Year
Santos beat Penarol in the Copa Libertadores final earlier this year. It was the club's first Copa Libertadores title since 1963.
The two teams got in a fight after the final whistle.
Neymar, by the way, scored the first goal in a 2-1 win.
Real Want Him to Cut His Hair
Seriously, Real Madrid want Neymar to clean up his image.
Okie dokie.

Naked Ronaldinho webcam video leaks, coach jokes about it
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/naked_ronaldinho_webcam_video_leaks_coach_jokes_ab out_it.jpg
A webcam video of Ronaldinho masturbating in a bathroom has been leaked onto the internet and the only surprise here is that it's taken this long for something like this to happen.
According to Globo, the video was first posted to YouTube, but has since been removed due to the graphic content. Since then, it has, of course, spread to many of the more naked corners of the internet that I'm sure you can find yourself, if so inclined.
Word of the video quickly spread through the Brazilian press and by the time Flamengo's Thursday training ended and manager Vanderlei Luxemburgo's press conference began, the topic of conversation was obvious.
From SambaFoot:
Manager Vanderlei Luxemburgo would not be drawn on the issue, insisting that he 'had nothing to do with it.'
"This is a particular problem for Ronaldinho. I can not control what is on my player's computers," said the coach, to much laughter from the gathered press ranks.
"The only thing I can do is [get] out of the way before this .... blows," finished Luxemburgo to even more laughter.
Egged on by the laughter, Globo reports that Luxemburgo took the jokes a step further by asking which of the assembled journalists had seen the video. Then he said this:
Let me ask a question for you? Who saw the video of Ronaldinho? How big?
Whether this disrupts his game remains to be seen, but it sounds like his relationship with Luxemburgo just got sufficiently more awkward.
Cutting back on his partying and focusing more on football, Ronaldinho has enjoyed a resurgence with Flamengo and returned to the national team. He's scored 13 goals this season and Flamengo currently sit sixth in the table. And now we know what he's been doing instead of going out to dance and play with Samba bands all night. Even if we didn't want to.

Brazilian Fans Send Neymar One Kilometre Of Fanmail
Neymar tweeted this picture of a letter sent to him by three of his Brazilian fans yesterday, a letter that – once unrolled – measures a full kilometre (0.62 miles in old money) in length…
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/NeymarLetter.jpg
When your fanmail is so long it arrives on a spool, you know you’ve probably made it. Neymar described the fans responsible as ‘beautiful’, though you can’t help but feel that ‘a bit serial-killer-y’ might be nearer the mark.

Turut berduka cita ...

nambahin dikit berita ttg meninggalnya Socrates
Brazil football legend Socrates dies at 57
Former Brazil captain Socrates has died at the age of 57.
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/_57113683_socratese_goal_82_new.jpg
He had been in a critical condition with an intestinal infection since being admitted to intensive care on Friday at a hospital in Sao Paulo.
Socrates, who was widely regarded as one of the greatest ever midfielders, was moved onto a life support machine on Saturday.
He played in two World Cups, won 60 caps for his country between 1979 and 1986 and scored 22 goals.
The former Corinthians player, whose full name was Socrates Brasileiro Sampaio de Sousa Vieira de Oliveira, was taken to the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo with food poisoning on Friday, according to his wife.
A hospital statement said on Saturday that the former footballer was "in a critical condition due to a septic shock of intestinal origin".
It added he was breathing with a ventilator and using a dialysis machine.
On Sunday Corinthians won their first Brazilian league title for six years after their 0-0 draw against Palmeiras was enough to edge out Vasco da Gama by two points.
Fans held up several signs honouring Socrates and players held their closed right hand up in the air during the moment of silence before the match, imitating his trademark celebration after scoring.
"The Corinthians nation woke up very sad today because of the loss of this incredible person," striker Liedson said.
"The title comes as a small way to honour him."
Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff said Brazil had lost "one of its most cherished sons".
"On the field, with his talent and sophisticated touches, he was a genius," she said. "Off the field... he was active politically, concerned with his people and his country."
Socrates scored 172 goals in 297 games for Brazilian club side Corinthians, having begun his career at Botafogo.
More than a decade after retiring, he joined non-League Garforth Town at the age of 50 on a one-month deal as player-coach, but managed just 12 minutes as a substitute.
Zico, a team-mate of Socrates in the iconic Brazil side of the 1970s, told website globoesporte.com: "He was a spectacular guy.

"As a player, there is not much to say; he was one of the best that I ever played with. His intelligence was unique."
Paolo Rossi, who scored a hat-trick in Italy's memorable 3-2 quarter-final win over Socrates's Brazil in 1982 - widely regarded as one of the greatest games in World Cup history - paid tribute to his former opponent.
"It's a piece of our history that's broken off and gone away," he said.
"Socrates seemed like a player from another era. You couldn't place him in any category - on the pitch and even more so off it.
"Everyone knew about his degree in medicine and he had a lot of cultural and social interests as well. He was unique from every point of view."
Socrates scored Brazil's first goal in that match, beating Dino Zoff at the near post after running on to Zico's wonderful through ball.
"He was a spectacular guy. He was one of the best that I ever played with. His intelligence was unique'
Zico
Socrates's former Brazil team-mate
"I remember the goal he scored against Zoff; he was one on one and it didn't seem like he could get to the ball. He looked slow but in reality he wasn't.
"He was a very dynamic player with a sublime foot but, most of all, great intelligence."
Fiorentina, where Socrates spent one season, held a minute's silence before the Serie A match against Roma, when the players wore black armbands.
A club statement read: "To the unforgettable 'Doctor' who played with the purple shirt in 1984/85, playing 25 matches and scoring six goals and who will always be remembered for his footballing intelligence, he will be affectionately remembered by the club, the team and the Fiorentina fans."
Giancarlo Antognoni, a team-mate of Socrates at Fiorentina and an opponent in that famous 1982 World Cup clash, said: "I'm really hurt.
"He was a true personality, above the rules with his own methodology, his way of life and his ideas.
"He struggled to adapt to our football but he was an authentic champion, full of refined class, great charisma and character."
Giancarlo De Sista, Fiorentina's coach at the time, also spoke of his admiration for Socrates as a player and a person.
"Socrates was a very intelligent man; he had great class," he said.
"I remember that he was an objector. He wanted to know everything - why he couldn't smoke on the team bus, why we had to be in retreat on the Saturday nights before games.
"He was an intelligent person who was interested in politics, although he smoked and drank a bit too much."
"Sad start to the day. Rest in peace Dr. Socrates"
Former Brazil striker Ronaldo on Twitter
Former Brazil striker Ronaldo wrote on Twitter: "Sad start to the day. Rest in peace Dr. Socrates."
Socrates was taken to hospital in August and September this year with bleeding in his digestive tract.
After these incidents he admitted he had problems with alcohol, especially so during his playing career. He is also well known for his smoking habit.
In a recent television interview, Socrates said he had considered alcohol his "companion" but believed its regular use did not affect his performance on the field.
"Alcohol did not affect my career, in part because I never had the physical build to play this game," he said.
"Soccer became my profession only when I was already 24. I was too thin and when I was young I did not have the opportunity to prepare myself physically for the sport."

Sócrates: Highlights from the Brazilian Legend's Career and Legacy
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/134926939_crop_650x440.jpg
This week, still reeling over the loss of Wales coach Gary Speed, the footballing world has suffered another great loss. Brazilian midfield legend Sócrates, known as "The Doctor" for his actual license to practice medicine and his great precision and intelligence on the pitch, passed away over the weekend, a result of septic shock from food poisoning.
Sócrates, who made his trade predominantly at Brazilian club Corinthians, was known for his creativity, leadership and conviction on and off the pitch and he will be sorely missed by fans all over the world. Here are just a few of many highlights from his career, with video to relive all of the best moments. If you have some Sócrates moments you'd like to share, as always, have at it in the comments section.
Early Success with Botafogo
_EUnXH9GUjc
Although the greatest successes of his career were enjoyed with the national team and Corinthians, Brazilian football fans knew Sócrates was something special upon his arrival at Botafogo. He won a City of São Paulo Cup with the Pantera and was a key scorer in the Campeonato Paulista and the Campeonato de Serie A that year.
Three Campeonatos Paulista with Corinthians: 1979, 1982, 1983
_Z3-3CJ6bz8
Sócrates' visionary, intellectual play helped create one of the strongest midfields in Brazil at Corinthians and during his time at the club, he played a significant role in three Campeonato Paulista titles, all while exuding cool at all possible times. The pitch rush as the clock wound down in that last Campeonato Paulista is absolutely priceless.
Throughout his time at Corinthians, Sócrates would appear about 300 times in all competitions and score more than 170 goals.
Revolutionizing Corinthians with "Democracia"
Football is generally its best when it is apolitical, but in spearheading the "Corinthians Democracy" movement upon his arrival at the club, Sócrates revolutionized how Corinthians operated and provided a framework for other clubs to follow, while also providing one of those great "how football explains the world" sort of teaching moments.
Frustrated with the authoritarian rule of the club (and Brazil's military rule at large), Sócrates and his teammate Wladimir launched a movement to make some changes. In addition to encouraging their teammates to vote on team matters, Sócrates and Wladimir used the model to convince supporters of the club to vote in Brazil's first multi-party election in nearly two decades, encouraging citizens to take a stake in their government no matter their beliefs.
That year, Corinthians won the Campeonato Paulista, one of the most important tournaments in Brazil, with "Democracia" emblazoned on their shirts.
As Sócrates put it:
"That was the greatest team I ever played in because it was more than sport. My political victories are more important than my victories as a professional player. A match finishes in 90 minutes, but life goes on."
Captaining Brazil During the 1982 World Cup
Vkq4fVKzibY
The Doctor never won a World Cup with the Selecão, but he will be remembered as a clever and capable captain during the 1982 tournament. Brazil were eliminated in the second round, but not without their fair share of beautiful play, including this splendid golazo, met, as the announcer points out, with stadium-wide shouts of "GOOAAAALLL!"
In total, he would earn 60 caps and 22 goals with the Brazilian national team throughout his career.
Another Wonderful Goal from '82
6JcqvD36o1k
I could write anything in this slide, but honestly, the best way to experience Sócrates is to watch footage, if and where you can find it. So let's just sit back, relax and watch this beautiful exchange between Zico and Sócrates, which ended in a well-placed goal, an equalizer for Brazil in this match against Italy from '82.
The 1986 World Cup
jIqOHQ2ErGU
Again, Sócrates left the tournament without a title, but this one saw the Selecão reach the quarterfinals against France.
Although it would be The Doctor's missed penalty that would contribute to Brazil's ultimate elimination from the tournament, up until then, he had a fantastic run, making an impact as an innovative playmaker and netting two goals.
As you can see in this video, which the editor has chosen to soundtrack to the wonderful Jorge Ben, with his quick back-heel flicks, architecture of plays and distinctive hairstyle, Sócrates just exuded style on the pitch.
Named to the FIFA 100, 2004
_K3FqMzPP4M
In 2004, Sócrates was named to his compatriot Péle's "FIFA 100" list as one of the greatest footballers of all time, joining his Selecão teammates Júnior, Falcão and Zico, among others. A quick look at this video will make it perfectly clear why.
Inducted into the Brazilian Football Hall of Fame, 2008
In 2008, Sócrates went down in Brazilian footballing history when he was inducted into the Brazilian Football Museum Hall of Fame at the Pacaembu ground in São Paulo.
Particularly fitting was the fact that there is now a tribute to Sócrates at Pacaembu, the ground of Corinthians, the club where The Doctor spent most of his career and had the biggest impact.
A Literary Legacy
As his name suggests, the genius of Sócrates transpired not just on the pitch, but in other capacities as well. He was an intellectual, an activist, a doctor, a writer, a man who was not just the game he played.
Before his untimely passing this weekend, Sócrates was working on his first book, a fictionalized account of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Here's what he told The Guardian about it:
"The championship will be pure fiction and the final will be Brazil versus Argentina, with Argentina winning 2-0, both goals scored by Messi. Heh heh. If you have an idea for an English character, tell me, then we'll come up with various scenarios and then we'll put them all together. Everyone has different experiences in Brazil and we want to put in the best.
Can you imagine, say, a Chinese man watching a game in Manaus on a Sunday and then having to get to Salvador for a game on Wednesday? Not a chance he would make it! He'll get lost in the Pantanal [the world's largest wetland], then fall in love with, say, a Korean. Everyone who comes to Brazil falls in love with someone. Obviously! We're the most sexualised people in the world."
We're seriously hoping he finished it or that someone will, because from his description, it sounds like something we'd love to read. Football has few great Renaissance men, and this master of the joga bonito was surely one of them.
In His Honor, a Brasilerão Title
Over the weekend, just hours after his death, Sócrates' former club, Corinthians, honored their hero with a moment of silence, then a deafening roar, a chant of, "Doctor! Doctor!" They would go on to hold Palmeiras to a draw, securing the Brasilerão title for the first time in six years. A more fitting honor, you could not find.
As Corinthians midfielder Alex told the BBC:
"The best way for us to celebrate his memory is the title.
We hope we can lift the title, to win it in the name of Socrates, for the great idol that he is."

The Neymar ‘Messi who?’ shirt might’ve been premature
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/the_neymar_messi_who_shirt_mightve_been_premature. jpg
The rise of Neymar has been rapid and slathered in hyperbole, making the Club World Cup final the perfect climax for comparisons between the 19-year-old Brazilian and Lionel Messi, as well as suggestions that Neymar might even be better. Except, instead of a showdown between the Ballon d'Or holder and the even younger gun pushed into being his challenger, it was a public flogging. Barcelona beat Santos 4-0 and Messi scored the match's first and last goals.
Neymar, meanwhile, was so anonymous that a publication back in Brazil published a "missing child" poster with his pouting face on its cover. To be even more clear, our friends at Bola Nas Costas explained the match with a handy bit of photoshoppery...
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv189/zudomiriku/zudo%20II/the_neymar_messi_who_shirt_mightve_been_premature-1.jpg
So, given all that, maybe the Brazilian T-shirt maker Huck's starry-eyed Neymar shirt with the text "Messi who?" was a bit premature. Or maybe it's now more appropriate than ever as a reminder that everyone needs to calm down with the comparisons, especially given the gulf in class between the two teams they play for and the competition they regularly face. Or maybe it's just a T-shirt.

Brazil legend Ronaldo has dengue fever
Former Brazil striker Ronaldo has revealed he has contracted dengue fever.
On Wednesday, Ronaldo, 35, wrote on his Twitter account that he was discharged from a hospital the night before and is recuperating.
He apparently contracted the mosquito-borne disease while vacationing at a north-eastern Brazil beach town.
Ronaldo thanked fans on Twitter for the well-wishes he has received, while confirming he is now treating the disease, resting and looking forward to his recovery.
Dengue can cause fever, headache and pain in muscles and joints. It's potentially fatal, if it develops into dengue haemorrhagic fever, and there is no vaccine or specific treatment.
The former Real Madrid player, who has plied his trade at Corinthians in recent seasons, was a prolific goalscorer for his country Brazil, scoring 62 times in 98 caps.

Kiper Brasil di Piala Dunia 2002 Gantung Sepatu
Mohammad Resha Pratama - detikSport
http://images.detik.com/content/2012/01/06/73/marcos-i.jpg

"Saya pikir Brazil takkan siap 100%. Mungkin hanya 10 dari 12 stadion yang akan siap," ujar Romario.
"Takkan ada kota-kota yang terlibat yang mampu mengatasi transportasi umum dengan sempurna." (age/rev)

The best Neymar tin man statue you’ll see today

Tin man Neymar would eventually discover he didn't need a real heart all along (Globoesporte.com)Neymar may only be 19-years old, but Santos have confirmed his legendary status with a tribute in their club museum. The young striker has been immortalized with a display commemorating his rather excellent goal against Flamengo, which won the FIFA Puskás Award as the most "beautiful goal" of 2011.
Also added to the museum was a bizarre metal statue, complete with flaming robotic orange Mohawk and incredibly sinister scowling eyes. Dirty Tackle cannot confirm who created the tin man tribute or why it looks the way it does, but we're going to assume it's made from cat food cans and that it also smells of cat food.
We wouldn't want to suggest that Santos has rushed out some Neymar memorabilia before he makes his inevitable move to a European club, but, well... actually that's exactly what we want to suggest.
Check out Neymar's museum-worthy goal after the jump...
