Javier Hernandez has captured hearts and minds at Old Trafford with his bubbly enthusiasm and his ability to score crucial goals – which is what helped the Mexican clinch ManUtd.com's Player of the Month accolade for October.
Chicharito scored four goals in six appearances last month, including match-winners strikes against Stoke City in the league and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Carling Cup. He has rapidly become a cult hero at OT, and it's a measure of the feeling towards him that he clinched 79 per cent of the vote in ManUtd.com's Player of the Month poll.
Nani has arguably been United’s most influential players so far this term, but even he had to settle for second spot with 18 per cent of the vote. One person who’s been highly impressed with Chicharito's form is Bryan Robson.
"He looks as if he has an excellent chance of becoming a top player for United," Robbo tells Saturday's United Review. "He’s a natural goalscorer and plays the game with a smile on his face."
