Prestasi ini membuatnya menjadi favorit di antara para pendukung United, inspirasi lagu seperti "You Are My Solskjaer".

"Manchester United berutang banyak kepadanya.

(AP)

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tipped for a return to Norway as new boss of Rosenborg
By ASHLEY GRAY
Last updated at 7:35 PM on 03rd November 2009

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is being lined up to be the next manager of Norwegian side Rosenborg. The former Manchester United striker is currently the reserve team boss at Old Trafford.

Rosenborg boss Eric Hamren is the frontrunner to take over as head coach of the Sweden national team and has already been interviewed for the position, leaving the Norwegian champions to make contingency plans.

Pointing the way: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is currently in charge of the Manchester United reserve team

Solskjaer is so highly regarded in his home country that he was offered the chance to manager his country earlier this year. He has again been consulted on who he thinks should land the Norway job, though it is thought the 36-year-old is not in the running for that role.

Solskjaer's adviser Jim Solbakken said: 'It is only natural that the Norwegian club would check out Ole Gunnar’s situation. He will not be reserve team coach at Manchester United for the rest of his life.'

Solskjaer Bakal Latih Rosenborg?
Doni Wahyudi - detiksport

ist.

Manchester United Hall Of Fame: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

http://www.footballfancast.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/OLE-300x194.jpg

You would be hard pressed to find a Man United fan that does not Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

As well as being a great goal scorer, a trophy winner and a model professional the ‘Baby Faced Assassin’ was a class act. When he was awarded with the Royal Norwegian order of St.Olav First Class, Egil Vindorum, head of the Oslo place chancellery, explained,

“What is being honoured are his attitudes, his way of being. He is a role model for children and young people, what he did on the soccer field has nothing to do with it. We’ll leave that to others, like the Norwegian Football Federation.”

And this is a testament to the character of the Manchester United legend.

Never did he moan or complain about being on the bench rather he worked hard and when the opportunity presented itself he grabbed it with both hands. He was self less and always put the needs of United ahead of himself.

In 1998, United were losing their grip on the League and in a game against Newcastle he was thrown on late in order to try and grab a win as 1-1 was not good enough. David Beckham, who had scored United’s equaliser, played a ball into the box but Newcastle cleared quicker than expected. As Rob Lee bore down on goal, Solskjaer sacrificed himself and swiped Rob Lee’s standing leg. The danger had been averted but Solskjaer would have to be punished receiving a straight red card for his intentional foul. As he left the field he received a standing ovation from the Stretford End, they fully appreciated the sacrifice he had just made to keep their title dream alive.

Signed from FK Molde after United missed out on Alan Shearer, Solskjaer would hit 18 goals in his first season helping United secure the title in the last week of the 1996-1997 season. He would go on to acquire the tag super sub after coming off the bench numerous times to score and famously got 4 goals in 12 minutes as United beat Nottingham Forest 8-1 (He would score 4 goals in a single game again later that season in a 5-1 victory over Everton).

As memorable as that match was his finest moment came in the 1999 Champions League final against Bayern Munich. United had looked dead and buried but Solskjaer was introdcued in the 81st minute to see if he could change the game around. In extra time Teddy Sherringham grabbed an equaliser to make it 1-1 and with another corner United packed the box as they went for the kill against a shaken Bayern side. Beckham’s corner was knocked on by Teddy Sherringham only for Ole to put it into the net and win the Champions League for United, at the same time cementing his place in United history.

Solskjaer was way more than just a super sub and the fact that he started 217 of his 367 matches proves this. Injury hampered his career and with United signing Ruud Van Nistelrooy, preferring to play with a lone striker, he moved to right wing in place of an injured David Beckham where he also shone.

So much in fact that Beckham failed to dislodge him when he returned to fitness and that coupled with a falling out with Sir Alex Ferguson spelled the end of the superstar’s Old Trafford career as he moved to Real Madrid.

Solskjaer brought the curtain down on his playing career in 2007 scoring his 128th and final goal against Blackburn in a 4-1 United win.

But this was not the end of his career at Old Trafford as he would go on to take up an ambassador’s role at the club in the summer of the same year and is now manager of the reserve side where it is hoped he can impart on the younger players of this flashy generation the humility that he showed throughout his career.

When he received his award in his home town of Kristiansund, the mayor Dagfinn Ripnes, stated:

“Many in his position become playboys and suffer symptoms from being a star,” he said. “Ole Gunnar remained the same down-to-earth, good guy.”

And its because of this, as well as the goals that Ole is and forever will be loved by United fans.

Don't give up - Solskjaer

http://m.gmgrd.co.uk/res/871.$plit/C_71_article_1212046_image_list_image_list_item_0_ image.jpg?13%2F04%2F2010%2010%3A20%3A51%3A008

Ole Solskjaer insists United's attacking firepower is still red hot - both short term and looking further into the future.

The Reds' 1999 European Cup winning goal hero will link up with two more of the famous Treble-winning front quartet in United's Big Red Family Day Out at Old Trafford on May 1. Solskjaer will be on duty for an All-Star United line-up with his '99 goal buddies Dwight Yorke and Andrew Cole.

More than a decade ago that trio, with Teddy Sheringham, formed the innovative four-strong senior strike-force that helped lay the ground for the historic all-conquering treble success.

But this term injuries have ravaged Sir Alex Ferguson's attacking department.

The ultimate blow came with Wayne Rooney's ill-timed ankle injury that has put a spanner in United's European and Premier League double bid.

Saturday's lunchtime derby against City at Eastlands looks set to be the last chance saloon for the Reds in the title battle.

But Solskjaer says United must get their chins up.

"We cannot afford for it all to be doom and gloom. We are still in with a shout," says the Norwegian who is now United's reserve team manager.

"A derby match against City is the perfect platform for the boys to bounce back. Playing your local rivals is not a time for feeling sorry for yourselves and I don't think we will be.

"There is no doubt Chelsea are in the box seat but you have to be in there in case of slip ups.

"I can only recall one title race we won in 2001 when it was all very comfortable. The tradition is to make it hard for ourselves but while you are fighting it is not cut and dried."

City and Chelsea have been the in-form Premier League goalscorers in Spring.

But Solskjaer says the quality is still at Old Trafford.

"Of course the quality is there," Ole told M.E.N. Sport.

Excuses

"The problem has been injuries. I don't want to make excuses but it has hit us hard in recent months up front.

"The great thing about 1999 was that apart from Teddy Sheringham suffering a few injuries in that season, the manager had myself, Dwight and Andy to call on for virtually the full campaign. It makes a difference."

Sir Alex Ferguson's young back-up attack has also been ravaged by injuries.

Italian 19-year-old Federico Macheda has only just returned after a four-month spell out with a groin injury.

Mancunian Danny Welbeck was forced to return from a educating loan spell at Preston when the 19-year-old suffered a knee injury.

Mame Biram Diouf, has also succumbed to a groin problem.

"It has been disappointing they've all had their injury problems," says Ole. "But they are young and exciting and they have got the chance of a lifetime here at United.

"They have got an opportunity to play for Manchester United for many years to come. I wish I was still in that situation.

"If I was I'd be out working long afternoons and practising my heading and shooting. They are all developing talents.

"To steal a march they have to work hard and they will. Diouf has pace, Macheda is quick, powerful and the most natural finisher and Welbeck is an all-round striker.

"It has been disappointing that their progress has been hampered by injury but, hopefully, next season they will be fit and ready to prove they should be the one challenging."

Fergie has also added the unknown talent of 21-year-old Mexican goalscorer Javier Hernandez to his pool for next term.

"I have never seen him live but the TV clips are impressive," added Solskjaer. "I always think it is very exciting when the club buys someone nobody has really heard of. I am looking forward to seeing him."

Fergie Bangga Solskjaer Bawa MU Muda Juara

http://media.vivanews.com/thumbs2/2009/06/25/72823_ole_gunnar_solskjaer_mencetak_gol_kemenangan _di_final_liga_champions_1999_300_225.jpg

Man Utd coach Solskjaer delighted to win reserve title at first attempt
-tribalfootball.com-

http://www.nimilkcup.org/uploads/c3e218f6-ae2b-4c59-ba27-62886ce16e07/solskjaer.jpg

Manchester United reserves coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits he's delighted to have won the northern title in his first season.

It was the first time United's kids have been crowned champions since 2006.

"I am proud and it is very satisfying, but this isn't for me it is for the young players who have worked very, very hard," Solskjaer told the Manchester Evening News. "They are a brilliant group of lads. They have been a pleasure to work with.

"There is a big turnover of players and that makes it hard to get consistency and difficult to work every day on team shape.

"But there is a core group of about eight to 10 players who have been there all the time and their attitude has been great and work rate phenomenal. They deserve the success they've had."

Lifting silverware is part of the Manchester United experience and an aspect of development Solskjaer and Warren Joyce have been focused on.

"The reserves is all about producing players for the gaffer and getting them used to winning, playing in the right way and getting used to the expectations at United," added Solskjaer. "We've always prided ourselves on the way we play. They've won the league and won it themselves. They deserve the praise."

In true United fashion, a doctrine instilled in Champions League goal-scoring hero and six-times Premier League title winner Solskjaer by Sir Alex Ferguson, it's job done, now for the next one.

"The title's won now and we must move on.

"That's what it is all about. It's the name of the game," he says.

Ole : I Can’t Coach Reserves Forever
-therepublikofmancunia.com-

http://therepublikofmancunia.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/Solskjaer-Reserves.jpg

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had a very successful start to his managerial career at United, leading our Reserves to be crowned English champions this season, as well as winning a couple of Manchester Senior Cups and the Lancashire Senior Cup.

However, our former player has conceded that he can’t stay at the Reserves forever, and may have to return to Norway for work at some stage if nothing comes up at United.

“I will await what the manager does and then we’ll see,” Solskjaer said. “I am very happy in Manchester, but will not train the reserves forever. A future coaching career in Norway is something I certainly cannot rule out.”

Solskjaer a United inspiration
MEN, Stuart Mathieson - July 17, 2010

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expecting a post-World Cup boom in young and home- produced talent thanks to Spain and Germany’s success in South Africa.

And United’s reserve team boss says the Reds will remain at the forefront of nurturing their own sourced prodigies.

The Busby Babes and the Class of ’92 are the club’s golden generations of young first teamers to have famously come through the ranks.

In Sir Alex Ferguson’s current squad, in addition to Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes from that ’92 FA Youth Cup winning side, Darren Fletcher, John O’Shea, Wes Brown, Jonny Evans, Darron Gibson and Danny Welbeck have been brought up at Old Trafford from young teenagers.

Solskjaer and his co-manager Warren Joyce engineered a double haul last term for the latest generation hoping to catch Fergie’s eye.

And the Old Trafford legend’s job to inspire the next bunch of senior hopefuls has been given a new fresh impetus by the World Cup.

“The history of this club has always been to give young players opportunities. United have been a role model for other clubs the way we produce young players,” Ole told M.E.N. Sport.

“We can point to plenty of examples to inspire our youngsters. But it is always helpful to get some new ones and Gerard Pique’s success in becoming a World Cup winner with Spain is great.

“He’s been through at United reserve level what our boys will experience. Before last May, the last time we won the Reserves National title Gerard scored in the final against Spurs.

“Now he has gone on to win everything in the game. He’s won a La Liga title, the Champions League and now the World Cup.

“It is good to have an example to show the lads what is out there for them.

“The way we do it giving youngsters a chance and the way Barcelona do it, they provided seven of Spain’s side who came through their system, I also think it is more and more the way football is going to go. You will have more of your home-produced players coming through.

“With the financial situation in football there is going to be more and more of a chance for kids to make it. You also have to have eight home-produced players at least in your squad of 25 so there is going to be more incentive to work hard on your youth policy. The opportunities are going to be there.

“But there won’t be a need to change policy at this club because we have always done it.”
As well as Spain’s triumph in South Africa, Germany also pointed the way forward with Joachim Loew’s accent on youth taking his squad to the bronze medal in South Africa.

“Germany is another example for us,” said Ole.

Golden Boot

“Look at Thomas Muller for instance. The Golden Boot winner, but he never played for Bayern Munich’s first team before the season just gone. He makes his debut last season and ends up as a World Cup ‘superstar’. He has done fantastic. They are a good young exciting team and it shows you the rewards from promoting young players.

“Players with big reputations didn’t produce, yet those with no reputations came through to really show everyone.

“You look at the way Germany have changed and the way they coach and teach kids now and you see the bonus that has come from that.

“They have a young team with technique, energy and enthusiasm so hopefully, from England’s point of view after their World Cup, they will follow suit.

“I think it can impact on the game everywhere. From United’s perspective, nothing much will change because we have always done it and once again there is a good crop of young players knocking on the door.

“Last season Danny Welbeck and Federico Macheda didn’t play a lot in the reserves. Darron Gibson moved up. Jonny Evans has gone on. Fabio and Rafa da Silva are first-teamers.

“They all should be making more of an impact this season than they did last. They have all had tasters of the seniors and you expect them to do more now.

“Tom Cleverley has gone on tour. I don’t know what the manager will do with him but he is a top-quality players and a top- quality human being. He is the type of player you want in your squad. There are talented players and talented players who have everything. Tom is a class act as a person and great in a group.

“There is loads of talent in the reserves. Corry Evans has gone on tour. Craig Cathcart is coming back from injury.

“There are talented players coming through the system here. It is not fair to pick one or two names out but we have players we hope will make it on the big stage.

“We had three players winning the Under-17 championships with England – Will Keane, Tom Thorpe and Sam Johnson. We hope that is a sign of something to come.

“I saw some of the Under-17 championships and as a whole the England side is very good.”

Solskjaer rejects Molde: I want Man Utd job
| tribalfootball.com

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits he is eyeing the top job at Manchester United.

Solskjaer is currently in charge of the United reserve-team.

He said he declined an offer from Molde because he has ambitions to manage in England and one day follow in Sir Alex Ferguson's footsteps by taking charge at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer, who met Molde Tarje Nordstrand Jacobsen before turning down the offer, said: "Of course it was tempting because I have played there.

"I know how enthusiastic the fans are and how much football means to them. I am a local, I have a sense of belonging at Molde.

"But I want to be a manager in England. I would like to become manager of Manchester United, too, but you do not go from being an assistant or reserve team coach to becoming head coach there - that happens almost only at Barcelona.

"My job [at United] is dependent on Sir Alex, put it that way. Were he not the manager at United, I wouldn't be there. We have a very good relationship and I really enjoying working under him.

"I'll be there as long as the boss is there, that's the plan. I will have to leave United at some point and I have ambitions, but they must be balanced with my family life."

Solskjaer Ingin Latih MU

MANCHESTER, KOMPAS.com - Mantan bintang Manchester United (MU), Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, menolak tawaran melatih klub besar di negaranya (Norwegia), FC Molde.

Solskjaer sangat mengagumi manajer MU, Sir Alex Ferguson. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer set to quit Manchester United for Molde
• Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in talks about manager's job in Norway
• Former Manchester United striker could go in January

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is in advanced talks to end his 14-year association with Manchester United and become manager of the Norwegian club Molde.

Solskjaer, currently Sir Alex Ferguson's reserve-team manager, has turned down the job twice before and indicated earlier this season that he wanted to remain at Old Trafford but negotiations have reopened and there are reports in Norway of the 37-year-old flying into Molde on Tuesday.

His representative, Jim Solbakken, spent today at the Aker Stadium talking to the Molde director, Tarje Nordstrand Jacobsen, with a view to the former United striker taking over in January.

The club's chairman, Erik Berg, said tonight: "It's no secret we have worked intensely to get Ole Gunnar but we have not signed a contract yet. I can't guarantee a press conference next week but, to put it this way, I will be delighted to welcome you back."

According to Noggie Newspaper Dagbladet.
This is the players Ole want in his team if he become the new Molde Manager:

Joshua King (Manchester United), Magnus Wolf Eikrem (Manchester United), Kara Mbjodi (Tromsø), Jonathan Parr (Ålesund), Krister Kleiven (Start).

Tarik Elyounoussi (Herenveen), Bjørn Helge Riise (Fullham), Even Hovland (Sogndal), Tore Reginiussen (Schalke 04, på utlån til Lecce).

I'll guess that at least Joshua will be a loan signing, and probably also Magnus. Mbjodi are under Arsenes radar, and have been watched closely this season. Even Hovland was on trial with United about a year ago.

He has been promised by the welty owner/supporter Kjell Inge Røkke that he will be supported with the cash needed to make Molde a titelchallanging team in norway, and able to compeet in Europa.

There are also roumors that there will be a tight co-operation between Molde and United. That would mean that both players and staff can be loaned between the clubs.
Mark Dempsey, the former United youth coach are supposed to be Oles Assistant Manager. Dempsey are now a member of the Tromsø coaching staff, a job he got with the help of Ole!, Dempsey therefor know Mbjodi pretty well...

When he is ready for United's hot seat. :)

Manchester United legend Solskjaer faces warm welcome on return to Molde

By Andrew Tuft - Football Correspondent | Tuesday 09 November 2010

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks set to end a 14-year relationship with Manchester United by accepting the manager’s position at Norwegian Tippeligaen side Molde, the same club from which he joined the Red Devils in 1996, and Eivind Berg of Molde supporters’ website mfkweb.org says the man known in England as ‘The Baby-Faced Assassin’ is far and away the supporters’ first choice.

“No question about it. At this point anyone else will be a massive disappointment. It's like a dream come true. He is a legend in Molde and his return will give the fans, the club, the city and the whole region an enthusiasm and belief in the future that we've never seen before.”

And, Berg adds, Solskjaer’s likely appointment will raise his the expectations of his fellow supporters’ higher than ever: “They will skyrocket and if Solskjaer comes and he gets to strengthen the squad as rumoured I have no doubt that most will believe that we will again try to knock Rosenborg off the top of the league.”

Solskjaer will replace another Manchester legend in the manager’s hot seat if he does, as expected take the role - but this time from the blue half of the city. Former Manchester City striker Uwe Rosler is the outgoing Coach, and Berg feels the German can leave with his head held high: “Bear in mind we only had Rosler for eight games. He came in and took over a struggling side, did a fantastic job and he and the team performed well over our expectations while he was here,” and Berg notes the reason for Rosler’s departure is not football related: “It's always been the plan that Rosler would only be at Molde until the end of the season as he's returning to his family in Manchester.”

The 2010 season was, by Berg’s admission, a disappointing one for Molde, an 11th-place finish the sum total of the team’s achievements a year after finishing second in the league and reaching the Norwegian Cup final, and Berg is pessimistic regarding the quality of the division Solskjaer looks ready to join. He said: “It used to be quite a bit better than it is as of now. The difference in quality is high. I would expect the top clubs to struggle in Premier League whereas I could see the bottom clubs to struggle in League One.” And despite the path from Norway to England being a well-trodden one, Berg does not expect many players to make the journey in the near future. “With the current squad I don't see many players that Premier League clubs would be interested in. Magne Hoseth was linked to both Blackburn Rovers and Fulham this summer. I could also see Emil Johansson getting there in a couple of years. He's a Swedish left back and was voted the best in the last European U-21 Championship.

“I expect the link between Molde and Manchester United to strengthen if Solskjaer signs for Molde. I wouldn't be too surprised to see a couple of up and coming youngsters at least going over to United to train.”

Solskjaer appointed manager of Molde
By Simon Stone, PA | Tuesday, 9 November 2010 | Independent

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been installed as the new manager of Molde, severing a 14-year tie with Manchester United.

Solskjaer was unveiled by the Norwegian outfit today after deciding to quit as United's reserve team boss, leaving Sir Alex Ferguson to find a replacement.

The 37-year-old's time at Old Trafford will forever be remembered for the heart-stopping injury-time winner in the 1999 Champions League final against Bayern Munich.

It was one of 126 goals in 366 appearances from the Red Devils, his £1.5million move from Molde in 1996 going down as one of the shrewdest pieces of business in Ferguson's entire time as United boss.

Although the player's career was eventually ended by a persistent knee injury in 2007, Ferguson had long-since identified Solskjaer as potential management material and offered him the chance of becoming reserve team boss as part of a coaching shake-up that saw the Norwegian work alongside Warren Joyce.

However, with his three young children, Noah, Karna and Elijah all growing up, Solskjaer has now decided to branch out with his old club, leaving with Ferguson's blessing.

"Ole has had a good period with our reserve team, which has given him a foundation to start somewhere else," confirmed Ferguson.

"He feels it is time he went back to Norway, which also helps his family situation.

"He has been a fantastic servant to us and I am sure he will do well.

"He has worked with some really good young players in our reserve team and has contributed to their development.

"Once he gets experience of managing a club in its own right who knows where it will take him?

"Molde is a very progressive club in Norwegian football, so this is a good start for him."

Solskjaer replaces former Manchester City striker Uwe Rosler at Molde, who finished 11th in the Norwegian top flight last season.

He will take up his new duties in January ahead of a new campaign that begins in March, with Ferguson believing the move will work to United's benefit too given Solskjaer has already identified the talent of Mame Biram Diouf, who is currently enjoying a positive first season in the Premier League with Blackburn after joining on loan from United after his transfer from Molde.

"We have a good contact base in Norway now," said Ferguson.

"It is difficult to say what Ole will do long-term but he has made a conscious decision regarding his family, which worked out well with the fact that Molde were looking for a coach."

It has been suggested that Gary Neville, who has made just three appearances so far this season and has suffered a succession of muscular problems in recent years, is being lined up as a replacement.

However, Ferguson insists there are no plans in place at present.

"I have no idea who takes over the reserves," he said.

"We will just leave it at the moment."

I dream of managing Manchester United! Old Trafford legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits he'd love return... just days after leaving

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2010/11/12/article-1329228-0226BD6200000578-956_468x295.jpg

If Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ever needs to be reminded of football's delicate balance between dreams and nightmares, he only needs to look at the fax he keeps as a momento.

On it are two signatures. The first is from then Manchester United chief executive Martin Edwards, the second from Sir Alan Sugar, then Tottenham chairman.

All it needed was a third and a transfer would have been concluded that changed the course of history.

Solskjaer was on his way to add his name when he passed Sir Alex Ferguson's office.

'Everything was agreed. The two clubs had signed and were just waiting for me. It was that close,' recalled the Norwegian.

'The gaffer called me into his office and closed the door. He said the conversation was just going to be between the two of us.

'He told me I would be a big part of his squad and he didn't want me to go. If he had said all the best in your career, I would have gone. But he wanted me to stay and so I signed.

'Hopefully I paid back the £5.5million that had been agreed with Spurs. But it is strange now to look at that fax.'

Solskjaer need have no worry about the money. Twelve months later he was stamping himself as a true United legend with his injury-time European Cup final winner against Bayern Munich in the Nou Camp, the pinnacle of a staggering season of success, the like of which may not be seen for some considerable time.

And the most remarkable aspect is that when the 37-year-old returns home with his wife and three young children in January to begin the first stages of a management career at Molde, he will do so as modestly as when he arrived, from the same club, as a virtual unknown for the best £1.5m Ferguson has ever spent.

'It is surreal for people to think of me as a legend at this club,' he said. 'I find it very strange because I look up to all the famous names.

'When I meet Eric I am still starstruck, even though I played with him. I know I have been part of a great club. Hopefully I will be invited for a game here and there.'

Solskjaer can be assured the welcome mat will always be rolled out for him, possibly even pointing towards the manager's door one day should his latest venture go well.

'I am not ashamed of saying that if I enjoy management and that invitation came in 15 years time I would say yes,' he said.

'Everyone who has played for Manchester United dreams about it. Me, Ryan Giggs, Bryan Robson, Mark Hughes.

'More than anything, the last few years have shown me you need experience and you need to be the best to be the manager of Manchester United.

'How the gaffer has handled the club and managed it is a fantastic example to anyone.

'He is the encyclopaedia of how to manage and I do daydream about what might happen in 15 or 20 years time when I have the experience.'

Solskjaer is not afraid to express his feelings because he knows Ferguson understands.

The bond between the pair remains strong. United's present reserve team manager admits he would not have taken up the challenge of Molde had the Scot not given his approval.

'To have had one manager in all my time here is extraordinary,' he said.

'All clubs talk about needing continuity and then six months later they have signed a new manager. Six months after that they have another.

'That is one of the things I spoke to Molde about. You cannot expect success at the snap of your fingers. It might be three, four or five years before the team I am building is good enough to challenge Rosenberg, who haven't lost a game this season.

'But I know the owner. He was there when I played for Molde.

'He was so keen to let me join United, he booked a private jet, which cost him £70,000, just to fly me over.

'Now, on a lesser scale, I want to bring Manchester United back to Norway.'

Solskjaer exclusive:
Farewell United
After almost a decade and a half at United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has now left to rejoin his first club, FK Molde, as first team manager. ManUtd.com caught up with Ole earlier this week for an in-depth chat…
http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/m519/nazizah/ED8A3BC78B9B402086ACAEE2CFC74559.jpg

How does it feel to be leaving?
It’s dawning on me that I’m actually going. It’s been a bit strange. Every time I do something it’s the last time I’ll be doing it. It’s dawning now that the family is leaving. My wife and I are going home, but the kids are moving away from home. They’ve lived their lives here. We’re all excited though. If we weren’t then we wouldn’t have done it. For me, work-wise, it’s a good step to get some responsibility and make my own mistakes, and as a family we had to do it now to see if we’re still Norwegian or if we’re totally anglicised!

Will you get any time to relax before you start at Molde?
We’re going for a couple of weeks away in warmer weather before I start. I’ll be back in Norway on the 3rd of January and on the 10th of January I start work. I have a week’s preparation – which will be spent unpacking boxes, probably. When you come over with one suitcase and you leave with a five-bedroom house, it’s unbelievable how much stuff you pick up along the way that you wish you’d thrown out!

Has it been strange to say your goodbyes over such a long period?
(Pauses) I should have done a Cantona! I’m not a goodbye person, really. It feels like that makes it even sadder.

But do you appreciate there was an importance behind your farewell to the fans on Monday evening; that they be given a chance to say goodbye?
Yeah, I understand that and it was special for me too. You don’t really realise how much you appreciate people. I’m happy the club put something on for me – they’ve been reallyamazing. They’ve really looked after me from day one and they’ve put me on show, if you like, three times now. I think this time it’s to make sure I go – third time lucky! ‘Alright Ole, this time you’re really going!’

Does a day go by when you don’t get stopped by a United supporter?
I’m sure there are days when I’ve gone straight home after training and stayed in! But you do meet people all the time. There must have been a few million people in the Nou Camp because I’ve met so many who tell me they were there. It’s brilliant. I wouldn’t be without it. It’s been amazing, that part of it. I know I’ve been a big part in their lives when they say ‘the best night of my life was because of you.’ I’ve also had someone tell me they got divorced because of me - ‘I didn’t come home from Barcelona’ and all that. There have been plenty of stories from that night.

In terms of popularity, you've got a similar standing as all-time greats like Cantona and Keane - how big a deal is that for you?
I don’t rate myself with them, but I am really proud that the supporters have liked what I’ve done. I take it as a compliment, of course. If you say Keane, Cantona… I’ve been privileged to play with the best players. Beckham, Scholesy, Giggsy, Keane, Cantona, Gary Neville… I’ve played with the best players in the history of the club, so I’m really proud.

Will you miss anything about Manchester?
Absolutely. I realised when I drove the kids to school, or went into Wilmslow or Manchester, that it wouldn’t be a part of my life anymore. But I’m keeping my house here. It’s only just finished – it’s taken three years! Sod’s law, isn’t it? But you never know what will happen. I am ambitious, so if I’m successful in the Norwegian Premier League a club over here might try me. At some stage I would like to come back.

Will you take any aspects of English life with you?
We’ll take a lot with us. It’s the little treats like mince pies. That’s what we missed about Norway – the little details. That’s what we’ll miss about Manchester. We’ll miss our friends, big time. We really made some great friends outside football as well, and we’ll miss them. You realise that you’re leaving them for good in the sense of being neighbours and everyday friends, but we’ll see them again. I have to say, the English people are such polite, open people. So friendly and well-mannered and we’ll bring some of that back with us to Norway.

What will you miss about working at Carrington?
Everything. Coming in every day, I’ve always enjoyed it. When you drive into Carrington you know it’s going to be a nice day. The staff are fantastic, you talk football all day long and I’m going to try and create this environment in Molde. The environment at this training ground is fantastic. It’s a performance culture. We’re all striving to make the players better and I’m going to miss that very much. Plus the people, of course. I’ll miss out some names, but the players I played with that are still here; I’ll miss the banter with them. The staff have been fantastic, from Kath on reception to everyone in the media. The manager, the secretary, the kitmen and then the staff I’ve worked with every day trying to improve the players, and I’ve had a fantastic relationship with Warren (Joyce) over the last two and a half years. That’ll be strange, but we’ll keep in touch and probably speak three or four times a week.

You’ve become quite a pairing, haven’t you?
He’s been absolutely amazing and I’m so happy he wanted to work with me. You can’t go on any courses to get that kind of education that I got with Warren. We never knew each other and I still remember our first phone call together about trying to make sure the lads become professionals. He’s opened my eyes to so many things. He’s got an unbelievable eye for a player, is a great coach and has great tactical knowledge, so I can’t praise him enough. The club’s got a fantastic coach who can educate the players – he even taught me to surf! We had a great day down in Devon this pre-season for the Yeovil match. He had me up on the board three or four times, properly surfing the waves. I’ll probably never do it again, but I’ve ticked it off now. If you want I can sit here all day and talk about the stories Warren and I have had. We even had Valentine’s Day in Lisbon, the two of us together! (Cracks up laughing)

Yeah, that probably belongs on the record…
We went over to see Carlos (Queiroz). He invited us. So we said yes, of course, we got there and realised it was Valentine’s Day. We got to the hotel and they had booked us in the same room, but we sorted it out. We didn’t spend Valentine’s night together. Make sure that's on the record!

How enjoyable have you found managing the Reserves?
Very enjoyable. I’ve enjoyed it because they’re top young talents with great attitudes. I come into work and don’t get any problems, really. You get the odd day they feel down and it’s your job to get them up again. In reality you never know how many players you’ll get in Reserve team football. You could have eight, you could have 20. It’s loads of variation, you have to adapt quickly. I’ve learned a lot and enjoyed it a lot.

How highly do you rate this group of players coming through?
Very highly, I think they’ve got a chance. Two or three of these will hopefully get into the first team in a year or two, maybe even before. There are some exciting young talents and I think we all know who. It’s difficult to put money on players making it, because you don’t know how they handle success and setbacks. They’ve got the talent, no doubt. Now it’s up to them to grab their chance and be good pros.

What have you learned about United in your time here?
It’s moved on so much. It’s always developing and trying to stay ahead of developments. The manager has been fantastic in renewing things and being ahead of his time. The size of the club now compared to when I came is a massive difference, but they always cope with the development and the winning culture, the performance culture. We beat Arsenal on Monday, but on Tuesday you didn't see anyone today talking about that game. That’s amazing. For me, when I first arrived, I scored a goal and I’d be reading the papers to see the reaction. None of that. It’s straight onto the next game and that’s what we do at United – that’s just the framework of behaviour and it's a blueprint I'll be taking with me to Molde.

Ole exclusive:
Back to Molde
In the concluding part of his farewell interview, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer outlines his plans for the future of Molde...

When were you first approached by Molde and how did you arrive at the decision to take the job?
I spoke to them through the year. During their season they struggled, so when they sacked the manager in the summer I didn’t want to do it and they had to get a caretaker. I met them in October and I didn’t say yes, I said no but I felt like it was right for me and my family. After that meeting I went home and discussed it with the family, and it turned out it was a more realistic possibility than we thought. It’s really important for me and Silje that we give our kids that chance to grow up as Norwegians as well. I’d spoken to loads of clubs – the manager says that you should always go and do the interviews because you never know; something might come out of it. He’s got friends who’ve had hundreds of job interviews but are still in the same job. I’ve spoken to a few clubs and this was the right thing, to be moving back home.

Was that quite a big conversation to have with Sir Alex?
It wasn’t very big because when I spoke to him and said that we were really missing home and that the timing was right for us – because we’ve had 14 and a half years here now – he thought the first step into management, in Norway, would be a good move.

How hectic was the day you signed for Molde?
I was looking forward to it in one way, to just go home and get it over with. I don’t really enjoy sitting and speaking to the press for two and a half hours, but it went well. It was important for me, Richard (Hartis) and Mark (Dempsey) to come across and speak to the Norwegian press, and for me to present them because I’m delighted I’ve got them with me. Dempsey has been in Norway for two years already. He was an under-16s coach and he’s fantastic, a teaching coach and I know the Norwegian players will love his approach to training. I’ve worked with Richard for three years as a coach and I just asked him if he’d be interested because we’ve got a good working relationship. I think his methods are very good and he’ll bring something to the keepers and the back four in relation to the keeper. I asked the Gaffer if it was ok for him to come across and he agreed to it.

After the press conference, you went to meet Molde fans at the pub…
We went to see some supporters and just wanted to kickstart it a little bit. It’s important, the enthusiasm of the fans and the whole day was good because you could see we’ve sparked a little hope there and it’s important that we build on that.

Molde is its own club with its own history, but will you be trying to apply the United ethos over there?
Definitely. For me that's how a club should be built and run on an everyday basis. It’s how I’ll run my club. This is the template of the perfect club. That’s why I’ve brought Mark Dempsey and Richard Hartis with me: the three of us are very strongly linked with United. United have signed three players from Molde – Mame (Diouf), me and Magnus (Eikrem) – and it’s a big compliment for our club, but I still think I can take it forward. Hopefully we’ll play in the Champions League together. You never know!

You’d be up against Sir Alex – how big an influence has he been on you?
The Gaffer has been absolutely unbelievable. For 14 and a half years I’ve been here and he’s made me what I am. You learn from him. I came as a young Norwegian and you just look at him and learn to be professional and how to conduct yourself.

He’s approaching a quarter of a century at United – how does he keep going?
He’s enjoying it, that’s the thing. He enjoys coming in and working here. He’s got good staff around him, he’s keeping young staff around him and he’s as enthusiastic as ever, he’s got more energy than ever and, of course, he has to win. He needs to win games. He has to have games like Monday and come back with the buzz of beating Arsenal. It’s just in him. You can see another team developing here and I’m sure he sees a great team developing.

Is your immediate plan to emulate Sir Alex with Molde and transform the club into a dominant force in Norway?
When you go into a job you hope you’ll leave one day - two years, five years, a decade down the line - and leave a legacy; knowing that you’ve started something and you’ve made new history. It’s Molde’s 100 year anniversary next year. They’ve won the cup twice and never won the league. Of course my aim is to win the league in years to come, but that’s a process, so for me now it’s starting at the bottom: the structure of the club, get kids coming through because it’s important that local kids know they’ll get a chance, I’m taking loads with me. If you want to build a club, you’ve got to look at who has been successful, and the manager has been the most successful one. It’s impossible to say that 10 or 15 years down the line where I’ll manage. If you do well, something will happen to you. I’ve said exactly the same as anyone else who has played here and wants to go into management; if you do well enough and you get the chance to manage United, yes of course you’d take it.

Rosenborg have won 17 of the last 21 Norwegian titles; are they the club you’re aiming to overhaul?
They’re the benchmark. They’ve got a great culture for sustained success. They think long term, the culture of the club has been very good. They have professional players who know they must sacrifice things for football, and of course the financial security they’ve got from the Champions League has brought them on as well. My aim is to get closer and closer, and in the end go past them.

Solskjaer Main FM Sebelum Benar-Benar Jadi Pelatih
Husain Noval

Setelah pensiun, Solskjaer dipercaya menjadi pelatih tim reserve United.

Solskjær ready to put theory into practice
Published: Thursday 13 January 2011, 12.55 | UEFA

Having learned the art of coaching from Sir Alex Ferguson and Egil Olsen, Ole Gunnar Solskjær is already setting his sights high as he embarks on his first senior appointment at Molde FK.

The new Norwegian season may still be three months away, but already there is a buzz of anticipation surrounding the 2011 campaign.

The return of Ole Gunnar Solskjær as coach of Molde FK has sent season ticket sales soaring at the Molde Stadion and injected fresh interest in a league once again dominated by Rosenborg BK. The 37-year-old began his first senior coaching job on Monday and, bred on success at Manchester United FC, it is no surprise to find he is already targeting silverware. "I return from England to win the Eliteserien; I am confident we can do it in my time at the club," he said.

Solskjær left Molde in 1996 and made his home at Old Trafford, entering United folklore with his dramatic late winner in the 1999 UEFA Champions League final. Injury forced his retirement having collected a sixth Premier League winner's medal in 2007 and he had been in charge of United's reserve team since 2008, until Molde came calling.

Working alongside Sir Alex Ferguson has obvious benefits for a young coach making his first steps in the game. "He has been amazing to watch, to look at ... It's just the enthusiasm, the desire of always wanting to get the best out of you. Always that winning mentality ... When you struggle, as a team, you've lost a couple of games, he never pushes the panic button," Solskjær told UEFA.com.

"He believes in his players, in the system because he trusts his back-room staff and his own judgment. You only get that by experience. It's been a very, very good learning period. He's a fantastic motivator, he's a fantastic man-manager, I think he handles superstars so well. I learned so much from him in the last 14 and a half years."

United chance

Sir Alex's voracious appetite for hard work certainly rubbed off on his young protege. "I promised my wife we would get back to normal when I finished playing ... [but] the manager offered me a job after 20 seconds," Solskjær recalls. "I said: 'I can't play any more,' and he told me: 'Don't worry, you were fantastic, you had a great career, why don't you join my coaching staff?' Twenty seconds after I had retired, I got a job. I thought it was a great opportunity, that it would be fantastic to come and work with him every day."

Solskjær can also draw on the experience of working under the inspirational Egil Olsen as he embarks on the next phase of his career. The striker was in Olsen's Norway side that defeated Brazil at the 1998 FIFA World Cup finals and, like with Sir Alex, was impressed by how he got the most out of his players.

"Egil is fantastic in motivating the players and making them believe they can do it. His way of coaching and managing is different to anyone else I have seen. He's very eccentric, of course, but he's very direct: 'If you do this, you will be all right, but if you do that, you've got no chance'. He is very specific.

"I just had to do what he told me. We have been criticised for the way we played defensively, long balls. But you have to look at the players we have, the time he's had and the results he has got for Norway in his two reigns; it has been incredible."

Solskjær is not the only former Norwegian international to gain from Olsen's expertise. Ståle Solbakken, who played alongside Solskjær for the national side and will replace Olsen as Norway coach in 2012, is enjoying a terrific campaign at the helm of the FC København. He believes his former team-mate also has what it takes to succeed on the bench, though suggests he may need some time to get used to Norwegian football again.

Solbakken advice
"He has to, in his way, be more patient with the players who don't have the same technical and tactical ability [as at United] but I think he knows all about that," Solbakken told UEFA.com. "I think he will have to give that time and give the players time."

Solskjær, he adds, has not changed since he was thrilling fans for club and country in front of goal. "He's as I know him from the national team – he has a good football brain, he's down to earth, he has probably had the best mentor ever in Ferguson and he was a great player," Solbakken said.

"He knows how players think and if you put all those together and remember being under the hardest pressure at Manchester United, I think he has got a good future in coaching." As Molde fans snap up their tickets for the new campaign, they could not agree more.

Mimpi Solskjaer, Nahkodai Manchester United
Azwar Ferdian - Okezone

Solksjaer masih memiliki impian besar, yakni kembali ke Old Trafford dan melatih The Red Devils.

(zwr)

Poor start to Solskjær’s Molde reign

Norway’s biggest football personality, Ole Gunnar Solskjær, made the worst possible start to his career as head coach of Molde football club (MFK) on Monday, losing 5-1 in a friendly match to Tromsø and seeing one of his best players suffer a long-term injury.

Arguably the most famous Norwegian in the world, Solskjær, an internationally-renowned striker from his day’s in England’s Premier League, was appointed as manager of his former club to great fanfare this winter. But he could not have imagined a more lacklustre opening to his reign during the friendly match, played near to the club’s current training camp on the Costa del Sol in Spain.

During the game, star defender Børre Steenslid injured the cruciate ligaments in his knee, forcing him out of competition for around half a year. He received the injury while challenging Tromsø’s Steffen Nyström for the ball. MFK’s physiotherapist, Leif Arne Lystad, believes the cruciate ligaments were damaged when he received an accidental kick to the foot during the challenge, which caused a rotation and then saw his knee come into contact with the ground.

Solskjær is resigned to the injury. “If we get him playing again during the season, that will be a bonus for us,” the former Manchester United star told newspaper Aftenposten. “He will get the time he needs, and we will take care of him.”

Solskjær also said that he had no plans to sign a replacement, as he still has four central defenders to choose from.

The injury occurred just 10 minutes into the match. Tromsø took the lead soon after through Remi Johansen. The northern Norwegians doubled their lead 10 minutes later and never looked back, adding another three goals. MFK’s only reply came by way of a 57th-minute penalty, converted by Magne Hoseth.

Commenting on the match, Solskjær said that he “did not believe that we were ready.” Nevertheless, Solskjær was quick to point to the “many good experiences” they had enjoyed during the trip to Spain, especially an earlier good performance against Ukraine’s Karpaty.

MFK will play Spanish club Elche and Poland’s Wisla Krakow before leaving the Costa del Sol on Thursday.

Summary

Dwight Yorke opened the scoring for Manchester United in the second minute, turning home Paul Scholes' right-wing cross after David Beckham's corner from the left had evaded everyone in the penalty area. Alan Rogers equalised five minutes later after good interplay with Jean-Claude Darcheville, only for Andy Cole to restore United's lead less than a minute later; the English forward was put through by a long ball from the back by Jaap Stam, rounded Forest goalkeeper Dave Beasant and hit a shot from a narrow angle that defender Jon Olav Hjelde was unable to keep out.

Shambolic defending in the second half allowed Cole and Yorke to add one more each, before Yorke was replaced by Ole Gunnar Solskjær up front in the 72nd minute. With 10 minutes left on the clock, David Beckham spotted an overlapping right-wing run from Gary Neville, and the England full-back played the ball across the face of the goal area. The ball came to Solskjær on the far side of the goal, where he was able to side-foot home from two yards. Solskjær got his second in the 88th minute after he beat the offside trap to be played in by Beckham. As Beasant advanced to narrow the angle, Solskjær's attempted chip was stopped by the Forest 'keeper. However, the ball broke back to Solskjær, who took the ball round Beasant before hitting the ball into the top-right corner of the goal from the right side of the penalty area. As the game entered its closing stages, Paul Scholes played a one-two with Jesper Blomqvist and then hit a no-look pass to Solskjær. The Norwegian forward took one touch with his left foot to control the ball and then hit a right-footed volley past Beasant for his hat-trick. Solskjær's fourth goal – and United's eighth – came in injury time at the end of the second half; Nicky Butt broke into the Nottingham Forest penalty area and played the ball back across the goal to Paul Scholes. Scholes mis-cued his shot, but the ball came to Solskjær, who side-footed it past the onrushing Beasant.

Solskjær later claimed that he had not expected to come on once United went 4–1 up. Nevertheless, United manager Alex Ferguson told the Norwegian to warm up so that he could come on in place of Yorke. As Solskjær was about to come on, United first team coach Jimmy Ryan advised him to play conservatively and pass the ball around, advice of which Solskjær took little heed.

Only ten shots in the match were on target by either team - nine of these were goals. This is a record in the Premier League for highest shots on target to goals ratio (90%).

Prestasi ini membuatnya menjadi favorit di antara para pendukung United, inspirasi lagu seperti "You Are My Solskjaer".

Solksjaer insists Hernandez can become a Euro legend for United
Tom Hopkinson

JAVIER HERNANDEZ can become a Champions League legend, according to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the man who fired United to glory in 1999.

Solskjaer’s stoppage-time winner broke Bayern Munich hearts and the Norwegian, now 38, says Hernandez can be the new hero at Wembley on Saturday.

“Javier will not be scared of Barcelona,” he said. “He could be the difference in the game. His movement is fantastic, as is his awareness, and his hunger for goals is extraordinary.

“He is a great professional and he smiles every time he scores because he feels like he deserves it.”

Solskjaer believes the Fergie factor will also count in the end.He said: “Alex is an inspiration and the best psychologist there is. He’ll relish the challenge. If the players have the right attitude they have a great chance.”

Solskjaer Ingin Manajeri MU

Rossi Finza Noor - detiksport

EXCLUSIVE: Solskjaer is on Blackburn boss hit-list

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/match-centre/article238217.ece/ALTERNATES/gallery-large/Ole-Gunnar-Solskjaer-cropped

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the shock name on Blackburn's list of managerial targets, as current boss Steve Kean fights to save his job.

Former Manchester United striker Solskjaer has taken Molde to the brink of the league title in his Norwegian homeland since leaving his post with the Old Trafford reserves.

And the 38-year-old - still a managerial novice - could get the call if Kean cannot turn round Blackburn's stuttering season, which continues at Saturday lunchtime with a tough home game against Arsenal.

Club owners Venky's insist they are standing by Kean, but just one point from the first four games, coming on the back of a final-day escape from relegation last season, have sparked fan protests, with 1,000 expected to march before this weekend's game.

Experienced, unattached bosses such as ex-Rovers gaffer Mark Hughes and Dave Jones have also been linked strongly if a vacancy comes up, but Solskjaer has emerged as a bright new 'name' candidate.

Molde are top of the table and have eight games to go, but Solskjaer and his English side-kick Mark Dempsey could be persuaded to come back to the Premier League.

The legendary United goalscorer cut his teeth coaching the Old Trafford reserves and has an image and connections that make him attractive to the Indian hierarchy at Rovers.

Solskjaer's agent, Jim Solbakken, refused to comment on the possibility.

"Blackburn Rovers have a manager," he said. "And Ole is doing very well in Norway."

How Is Solskjaer Getting Along At Molde?
SEPTEMBER 19, 2011

http://therepublikofmancunia.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Solskjaer-manager.jpg

Molde FK are a 100 year old Norwegian club that most of you probably hadn’t heard of until they sold us a 23-year-old striker in 1996. He had scored 31 goals in 38 games and had attracted interest from a few clubs across Europe. Åge Hareide was the manager at the time and offered the Norwegian striker to his former club, Manchester City, as well as Everton, for £1.2m. They both failed to take a punt on him.

United put in a bid of £1.5m during Euro 96, a record transfer fee for a Norwegian club at the time, which was duly accepted. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was a Manchester United player.

Solskjaer went on to play 366 games for United, scoring 126 goals, winning six league titles, 2 FA Cups and most notably, scoring the winning goal in the 1999 European Cup final.

Upon retiring, Solskjaer was put in charge of the United Reserves. In the two and a half years he spent in post he saw our lads crowned champions of England, champions of the northern league, as well as winning the Manchester and Lancashire Senior Cups. It was during this stint that he was offered the job of managing the Norwegian national team, replacing his former Molde boss, Hareide.

“I did not think it was the right time for me to say yes to the offer,” he said at the time. “But of course it was nice to be asked. I work for Manchester United and my career is going in the right direction. It would have been exciting to take on a much bigger job than my current job, but I have a job at United.”

When an offer came in to return to Molde, Solskjaer couldn’t resist and no United fan could really begrudge him taking up that opportunity, as much as we wanted him to stay.

As Solskjaer approaches the end of his first season with the club, the papers this weekend linked him with a move to Blackburn, where fans have been protesting against current manager Steve Kean. Why? Because it turns out Ole has the potential to be a bloody brilliant manager.

Last season, Molde finished 11th out of 16, some 28 points behind champions Rosenburg. This season, with 7 games left to play, they are top of the league, 6 points clear (having played a game more). The final day of the season is at the end of November. Good luck, Ole!

Semoga Ole berhasil membawa Molde menjadi juara liga Norwegia !

Solskjaer di Ambang Gelar Perdana Sebagai Manajer
Auzan Julikar Sutedjo - Okezone

http://i.okezone.com/content/2011/09/23/50/506207/3K1HAlzDKY.jpg

Solskjaer mulai menangani Molde sejak Januari 2011 lalu setelah sebelumnya menjadi manajer tim cadangan Manchester United sejak 2008.

(fit)

Semua ilmu yg didapet dr SAF langsung dipraktikin ama ole nih kyknya,,.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Molde side are closing in on the Norwegian title in his first season in charge.

The team from the beautiful town of just 24,000 on the edge of a fjord in central Norway have never been crowned champions before, but with just five games to play, Molde enjoy a 10 point lead over Champions League regulars Rosenborg.

Solskjaer, 38, is assisted by Mancunian coach Mark Dempsey and the pair worked together with Manchester United’s reserves before joining Molde last year.

Reinforcing the United connection is one of Molde’s star players, attacking midfielder Magnus Eikrem, the Molde-born player who spent five years at Old Trafford before returning home with Solskjaer.

“I thought it would have been very hard for Ole Gunnar leaving the Manchester United bubble,” says Jan Age Fjortoft, the former Middlesbrough, Sheffield United and Norway striker who now hosts Norway’s Champions League television coverage.

“At United you are protected from the media and as a player you become used to winning in front of 75,000 most week. To go from that to a small town where the team have an average crowd of 8,000 is a big change, but Ole Gunnar has impressed me enormously.”

It’s not only good results which have won Solskjaer respect.

“Molde had a very important away game which they lost 1-0 after conceding a goal in the 93rd minute,” recalls Fjortoft. “The first thing Ole Gunnar did was walk onto the pitch and congratulate the opposing striker. That showed what a decent man he is.”

“In another game, Molde were well beaten. Ole Gunnar faced the media after the game and said: ‘I know my boys, I know they will come back next week.’ That will have inspired confidence in his players and they did come back the following week.

“Ole Gunnar is part of a new breed of young coaches like Villas Boas at Chelsea. He’s gone from being a rookie coach with United’s reserves to being one of the most promising coaches around.”

What’s more impressive is that he’s hardly spent any money at Molde.

“Ole Gunnar hasn’t made major changes at all,” says Fjortoft. “He took over a team which did well in 2009, but had then struggled in 2010 until they were saved from relegation by (former City striker) Uwe Rosler. Ole Gunnar also lost one of his best strikers to Copenhagen so he’s done a remarkable job and his team play good football.”

Solskjaer is a great student of football, something Fjortoft noticed at an early age.

“He was a sub when I was in the national team and he told me that he would watch me closely to see how I played,” he explains. “I thought he was taking the mickey out of me like footballers do, but he was always wanting to learn.

“I think that Ole Gunnar will manage Manchester United in the future,” adds Fjortoft. “ I don’t think he will replace Sir Alex Ferguson, but he’ll manage later on because he has the United spirit, the link with the club and the popularity with the club’s supporters. And I say that as a Leeds United supporter.”

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Bawa Molde Juara Liga Norwegia
Tribunnews.com - Senin, 31 Oktober 2011 06:02 WIB

TRIBUNNEWS.COM.

Molde kini mengumpulkan nilai 55.

Rossi Finza Noor - detiksport

Namun, wacana masihlah wacana.

Kira-kira melatih tim apa yach ?

Solskjaer Sudah Diantri Tim Inggris

(tp/zul)

Ole: I Stole Fergie’s Line

http://img.ibtimes.com/www/data/images/full/2011/11/18/192360-ole-gunnar-solskjaer-has-dismissed-suggestions-he-could-be-the-man-to-.jpg
Manchester United's manager Sir Alex Ferguson (R) and striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (L) open a new museum to commemorate a treble winning season for the club at Old Trafford August 21, 2001.

Molde won their first ever title in their 100 year history this year in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first year of management with the club.

However, it wasn’t all plain sailing and Solskjaer has today admitted to stealing a line Sir Alex Ferguson used on Manchester United players in 1996.

Following the 6-3 defeat to Southampton and 5-0 defeat to Newcastle, Ferguson sat his players down and gave them a talking to.

“If there’s anything about you now lads, I would take all your money, your mortgage, and put it on us winning the league because we will. You’ll never get better odds than now.”

United went on to win the league by 7 points.

Following a 5-0 defeat at Haugesund in May, Solskjaer stole the words of his former manager.

“I could remember it as clear as day,” said Solskjaer in his interview with The Daily Mail. “And of course, United won the league easily.”

Solskjaer has reflected on his time at United and how Ferguson’s model for running a club has rubbed off on him.

“I look at that as the perfect way of running a club,” he said.

“In our little world, with different facilities and resources, you have to make it into a mini Manchester United. How the gaffer runs it is a template for everyone. If it’s good enough for United, it’s definitely good enough for Molde. I’ve got to do it my way. I can’t compromise and be someone else. When I was a player I could never be Giggs, Scholes, Beckham, Cantona or Keane. But I could still take bits from David’s mentality or Eric’s ability to improve myself. It’s the same with the gaffer. He’s got a few traits that suit me but others that don’t. I try to make that into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the manager. I don’t need it for the money, the recognition or the success, but I really enjoy it.”

Having won the title in Norway, Solskjaer shows he could be a future contender for Fergie’s job

http://m.gmgrd.co.uk/res/667.$plit/C_71_article_1468067_image_list_image_list_item_0_ image.jpg?15%2F12%2F2011%2008%3A58%3A42%3A686

Twelve months ago tomorrow Ole Gunnar Solskjaer officially signed off United’s payroll when he engineered a 5-1 victory for the Reds reserves against Newcastle.

The removal crates were already being stashed with belongings and souvenirs as the Old Trafford legend prepared to move back home to Norway after a trophy-laden career in Manchester.

Fourteen years after the unknown baby-faced striker turned up at Old Trafford as a £1m capture from Molde, he was heading back to manage that club having firmly established his place in the United Hall of Fame.

His new target was to turn Molde into Norwegian Premier League champions for the first time in the club’s history.

At the end of October he delivered the elusive title in Molde’s centenary year.

The result of his achievement carried back to England and his name was mentioned as the potential new boss at Portsmouth.

But when Steve Bruce was sacked as Sunderland manager, the first link with an English Premier League club came up.

Martin O’Neill was to nab the Stadium of Light post before the Solskjaer connection got off the ground, but the bookies named him in their top six for the post.

His achievements in Norway, and next season his side will be playing Champions League football in the qualifiers, have rocketed Solskjaer’s standing in the managerial stakes.

Every big vacancy from now on is likely to see the 38-year-old’s name automatically appear in the frame.

The $64m question is, at the point when Sir Alex Ferguson retires as United manager would his former Super Sub and 1999 Champions League final goal hero have the CV to attract Old Trafford’s hierarchy?

Solskjaer’s former Molde boss and the man who sold him to the Reds in 1996, former City defender Age Hareide, believes the man who famously put the ball in the Germans' net has the mind set to be a serious contender when Fergie calls it a day.

“What Ole Gunnar has achieved in his first season as Molde manager is no surprise,” Age told M.E.N. Sport.

“Neither is it a surprise that he is being linked with top jobs in England and, of course, his name will come up when Manchester United’s future is debated.

“It is a very big step from being a manager in Norway to managing a club in the Premier League in England like United. It is also a long way to fall if it doesn’t work out when you get there.

“If it doesn’t work out when you take that prime post then it is extremely hard to build your CV back up again.

“It is all about timing really. You have to pick the right moment to take on a new challenge.

“And let’s be honest, Ole certainly knew about timing when he was a player!

“I think he is a man made for the big occasion and the big stage. I think, ideally, there would be an interim step between Molde and United because of that enormous leap from one job to the other.

“However, there is also a part of me that says if anyone can make that jump then it is Solskjaer.

“Moving from Norway to Manchester as a player was a massive step for him but I was convinced he could do it.

“When I was manager of Molde, and since then too, Sir Alex Ferguson has rung me many times asking if such and such a player would be able to make it in the Premier League.

“There have been many I have had to advise him that they wouldn’t.

“However, when he rang about Ole I had no hesitation in saying yes he could do it. He has the mental attitude and ability to adjust very quickly to a new level.”

Solskjaer was forced to retire from playing in 2007 after a series of knee problems and operations.

As well as an ambassadorial role at Old Trafford, the former hitman studied to get his coaching badges and helped Fergie’s backroom staff before becoming reserve team manager with Warren Joyce in May 2008.

Two successful seasons in that role saw him win the Premier League Reserve League, the Premier League Reserve League North, the Lancashire Senior Cup and the Manchester Senior Cup.

Challenge

Having cut his teeth with the Reds second string, he stepped up to the Molde job in January and, after the 30-match Tippeligaen, had beaten off the challenge of Tromso and Rosenborg. It has been a well-crafted coaching and managerial career.

“As a person Ole Gunnar lives by being accurate in everything he does,” Hareide added.

“He is deeply into his football and is a real student of the game. When I had him as a young player at Molde he would keep notes after every training session. Anything that was said to him he would write down. He was meticulous and I believe he continued that at United.

“He always knew where he was going. He planned his career. You just know he will have his ambitions as a manager mapped out probably as well.

“He won’t rush into anything but when he believes the time is right he will push himself on to the next level.

“What he has achieved with Molde is fantastic in his first season. His side were very good. He got them playing a pass and move game. His philosophy was to play from the back and nobody else played like that in Norway.

“They may say that nice guys don’t win things but let me tell you, wise guys do. Ole is very wise. He is not a bully but he can be harder than people would imagine. He can be mean if things are not going to plan.

“He has earned the respect of all his players and coaches around the country as well. He is not just a favourite in Molde but he is a Norwegian favourite as well. The whole country loves him. He is a hero.

“He has fantastic charisma and positivity comes off him in waves.

“Next season he will have the Champions League challenge and again the country wants him and Molde to do well. At club and international level Norway has slipped in the rankings and we need to improve that. It is vital we have success and raise our standards.

“If Ole can make Molde a success in the Champions League that will certainly help us and if anyone can do it he can.

“As for Manchester United in the future he would be instantly popular there and would have immediate respect. I think it is a definite advantage that he would know the club inside out.

“He had the character to make the move from Molde to United in 1996 and make a success of it because he thought the time and the challenge was right for him.

“When the Old Trafford job comes up and it matches with his timing then he’d be more than capable.”

Fergie Puji Keberhasilan Solksjaer

http://klimg.com/bola.net/library/p/headline/0000066158.jpg

Bola.net - Ole Gunnar Solksjaer berhasil membawa Molde menjadi juara Liga Norwegia.

(men/rev)

Ferguson tips Solskjaer for the top and as realistic contender to replace him at United

Sir Alex Ferguson has backed Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to replace him in the Old Trafford hot-seat when he finally retires.
The 70-year-old Scot is not expected to retire any time in the next three years and that could give Solskjaer the chance to build his name as a coach.
European heavyweights Pep Guardiola and Real Madrid's Jose Mourinho are among the favorites to replace Ferguson at United, but the current boss feels Solskjaer would be ideally suited.

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2012/01/17/article-0-0C789CE3000005DC-8_468x334.jpg

And Ferguson says he is already a step ahead of other United greats such as Bryan Robson, Mark Hughes, Steve Bruce and Roy Keane because he always knew he wanted to go into coaching once he retired.
Ferguson said: 'I think the problem for a lot of footballers today is that when they get to the end of their careers they decide they want to become coaches because they have nothing else in their mind that they think they can do.
'Whereas Ole always wanted to stay in the game, so from an early age he was preparing stay in the game as a coach or as a manager, as he is at the moment. So he has given himself a better chance than the rest.

Doing it his way: Solskjaer takes training at Molde

Ole was always one of the professionals that used to take down all the notes from the training sessions and games.'
Solskjaer was the United reserve team manager before leaving to return home to Norway and leading Molde to their first league title in his first season as a manager last year.
And Ferguson believes the 38-year-old has all the attributes to become a top boss.

Special memories: Solskjaer played a huge part in helping Manchester United win the treble in 1999

'He has got an inner toughness, there’s no doubt about that,' added the United manager. 'He is a nice man with a lovely manner about him.
'If you go to a club in Norway that have never won the league ever in their history and you win the league you have to have something about you to do that.
'He has brought in his own staff. He’s brought two coaches from United as part of his structure to the club so he knew where he was going. A useful thing to have in management is good decision making.
'It’s possibly one of the most important things and he has been decisive, so yes he has got a lot going for himself.'
