The son of French legend Zinedine Zidane is in the sights of Manchester United.

Real Madrid midfielder Enzo Zidane, 16, is on the radar of United and Juventus, says Gazzetta dello Sport.

An attacking midfielder similar to his Dad, Zidane Jr was set to sign with Standard Liege on-loan, but that move has stalled after United and Juve made their interest known.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson knows all about Zidane Jr's talent and is well aware of the tug-of-war between France and Spain for the youngster's international commitment.

Real will be desperate not to lose the midfield prospect, though Zidane may feel his son has a better chance of making the grade going to United, where Ferguson is famous for giving youngsters their chance.

Dalley is tipped for future success and has no doubts about his ambitions to play for Wales and Cardiff City at senior level.

“I’d love to become a professional footballer at club and international level, but if that doesn’t happen I’d like to join the Army,” he says.

Dally, a key player when Wales crushed England 4-0 in the Victory Shield international at Haverfordwest County this season, produced two good performances against France.

Football supremo Declan Dalley has achieved his ultimate goal after being signed up for Manchester United!

Sixteen-year-old Declan, a student at Ysgol Gyfun Y Cymer has been snatched up by one of the biggest names in football following a lifetime’s dedication to the sport.

Following a series of trails, the Rhondda teenager signed along the dotted line as the latest recruit to join the world-famous football team.

Cllr Eudine Hanagan, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Cabinet Member for Education, Skills and Lifelong Learning said: “This is very exciting news and many congratulations to Declan on such an outstanding achievement.

“To play for one of the most well-known football clubs in the world is a wonderful opportunity for Declan and is an honour not only for his family, school and community, but the whole of the County Borough.

”We are very proud of him and look forward to seeing his career progress as he wears the red jersey with pride.”

The aspiring football hero began playing for Cardiff City Football Club’s mini squad at the age of just seven. For the next nine years he remained faithful to the club before being released to pursue his sporting desires on a higher field.

A variety of top football scouts were already aware of his prowess on the pitch and soon enough offers came thick and fast from Championship clubs including Ipswich Town, Bristol City and Queens Park Rangers along with the heady heights of the premier league including Everton, Tottenham and Birmingham City.

But for Declan, his boyhood dream had always been to play for the team that he, and his family, had always supported. He first pulled on the famous red jersey of Manchester United for their Under 16s game against Crewe where the team won 2-0.

United’s top European scouts were impressed by his performance and Declan was invited back to play against one of their leading rivals, Chelsea. Again he outshone his fellow players and following another trial, this time in a game against Leeds, he put on a performance Sir Alex Ferguson would have been proud of when United tore their northern rivals apart with a 7-1 victory.

The solid and dependable performance by Declan impressed Manchester United’s top brass of recruitment and he was summoned to the famous Carrington Training Ground to be offered a contract at one of the world’s largest clubs.

Young Declan was overjoyed by the life-changing offer which clearly delighted his mother Allison and the rest of the Dalley family. His late father, Michael was also a fervent Manchester United supporter who would have been immensely proud of his son’s achievements..

A SOCCER mad lad from Llandudno has impressed Manchester United coaches with his skills.

Sean McCaffery will be living the dream next month after winning a place to play football on the world famous turf at the Old Trafford ground.

The 12-year-old Ysgol John Bright pupil took part in a player development course run by Manchester United Soccer Schools in Llandudno last year.

And as one of the top performers he’ll join around 50 children from around the UK in a specialist football workshop at Old Trafford, with the coaches at Manchester United Soccer Schools.

He said: “I had such a great time at Manchester United Soccer Schools last year and can’t believe I have been chosen to play at Old Trafford.
“I’m so excited to walk out onto the pitch and spend a day playing football in the stadium.”

A TEENAGE footballer has won the double after landing a contract with Manchester United and a Wales call-up within a matter of days.

And aspiring star Declan Dalley, 16, is hoping to make the first team at Old Trafford in memory of his United-mad father Michael, who died in June 2007 aged just 39.

The Ysgol Gyfun Cymer pupil was offered a deal by the Red Devils at the weekend following a trial match – then received a call-up to Wales’ under-18 squad yesterday.

Speaking about his scholarship at United, Declan said: “I was just shocked to be honest, I couldn’t believe it. They pulled me into the office after the game with my mother and two of the staff and gave me the news then.

“I couldn’t say anything but my mother was a bit emotional.”

Centre-back Declan, himself a huge Manchester United fan, said it was a dream come true to sign for the world-famous club.

“Hopefully I will be able to get into the first team and play for Wales if I can,” he added.

Declan was released by Cardiff City after nine years shortly before the offer from the Premier League leaders came in.

The tough-tackling defender will move up to Manchester in time for pre-season training at the start of July, and said: “I’m excited to move up there but obviously I’m going to find it hard, missing my mother and family.”

Mother Allison said she and Declan’s siblings Kelly, 23, and Sean, 20, were “terribly proud” of his achievements.

The 42-year-old, from Treherbert, added: “I’m sure he will give 100% dedication and attitude and he’ll make us all proud, I know he will.”

And the grandmother of three said her son’s late father would have been delighted by Declan’s success.

“Michael was a lifetime supporter of Manchester United and travelled all over the world watching them and took Declan with him,” she said.

Manchester United’s South Wales scout Tony Hopkins, who has followed Declan’s progress since he was playing schools football in Rhondda Cynon Taf, said he wished the talented teenager well.

“He’s a good role model so let’s hope he does well,” said Mr Hopkins.

Could Varane be the next youngster to light up Old Trafford?

According to reports United have tied up a deal to sign defender Raphael Varane from French side Lens.

The Mirror notes:

“Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson looks to have beaten Arsenal in the race to sign French youngster Raphael Varane.

“Fergie is close to tying up a £3million deal for the Lens defender who turned 18 yesterday.

“The Old Trafford chief has teed up the move, despite 6ft 3in Varane signing a new contract recently.

“He is the surprise name on United’s transfer hit-list and insiders reveal the deal is ‘nearly done’.”

Varane is one of the brightest young stars in French football having been capped for France under 18 and at under 21 level.

Varane was playing for Lens under 18′s at the age of just 16 such was his ability and the defender seems to have had somewhat meteoric rise through the clubs ranks.

The youngster made his debut for Lens first team against Montpellier following an injury to centre back Alaeddine Yahia, where he received praise from all his team mates following an assured display.

Varane has made 17 appearances for Lens this season being used as both centre back and in a defensive midfield role.

The youngster signed a deal in February tying him to the club until 2015 but the smart money’s been on him moving on to a bigger club ever since his impressive debut.

Although Arsene Wenger has a reputation for discovering youngsters- especially French ones, it seems Varane looks set to follow in Paul Pogba’s footsteps by choosing Old Trafford as his next destination.

As Italy Under-17 goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini leaves Fiorentina for Manchester United the Italian’s have taken a swipe at English club’s who try to lure their youngsters away.

Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino has claimed more of his youngsters were targeted by clubs in England but elected to remain with the Viola.

A statement on the club's official website read: "Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino has taken into consideration the comments made by player Pierluigi Gollini and is surprised by his decision.

"He takes the opportunity to thank players (Niccolo) Fazzi, (Saverio) Madrigali, (Leonardo) Capezzi, (Federico) Bernardeschi and (Luca) Lezzerini, who have decided to remain with the Viola club, not being lured by false illusions of English sirens in recent days.

"Of the 150 players that have decided to go abroad, no-one has been able to earn a place in the first team."

Italian defender Michele Fornasier joined United in 2009 from Fiorentina's youth section.

Fergie Chases Released Arsenal Youngster

Manchester Untied are ready to make a move for released Arsenal youngster Jamie Edge, according to reports.

The starlet has been with the North London side since 2009 when he moved from local side Cheltenham Town. Edge played 20 times for Steve Bould’s Under-18s and make one substitute appearance for the Reserves in his two year spell with Arsenal.

The promising England teenager has been linked with United previously and will almost certainly be interested in the player who is now free to talk to other clubs.

Carlisle United have confirmed that schoolboy goalkeeper Dean Henderson has joined Manchester United for an undisclosed fee.

The 14-year-old has been watched by scouts from Old Traffordover the last two months and their glowing reports prompted Sir Alex Ferguson to act now.

Carlisle's head of youth Eric Kinder is convinced the Premier League giants have secured a player brimming with talent, despite his tender years.

"Manchester United have watched him and they've come in to get him, and an undisclosed fee has been agree," he told the club's official website.

Massive club

"I don't know the specifics of that, but it's obviously something neither the player or the directors could ignore.

"In all honesty, there is nothing you can do to keep a young player when something like this happens.

"They are a massive club and you probably get one chance at signing for a set up like that. We can't really say no, but I would have loved to have kept him.

"I think he's probably the best young goalkeeper that I have ever worked with and it has been a pleasure to watch him."

Sir Alex Ferguson is keeping tabs on Everton midfielder Ross Barkley's progress, and could make a move for the 17-year-old in January.

The Manchester United boss is a huge admirer of the Everton youngster and would love for him to follow in Wayne Rooney’s footsteps from Goodison.

As soon as Barkley joined Everton in the summer, he was being billed as the best young player since Wayne Rooney.

Despite a bad leg break sustained playing for England Under-19s, he made a strong start in central midfeld when Everton played QPR at the start of the new Premier League season at Goodison Park, following it up with another solid display against Blackburn.

Doubts over his youth have been dispelled by his performance and by the admiration of a number of senior Premier League players.

“It’s not too early for him because he’s got all the attributes to surprise a few people,” said French striker and Everton teammate Louis Saha.

“He’s got power, strength, confidence, speed – he’s said a few times to me that I’m slower than him.”

Reds on trail of 'Croatian Messi'

Manchester United are on the trail of Croatian teenage starlets Mateo Kovacic and Mario Situm and will have them watched this weekend.

United's Balkan scout will be in attendance at the Stadion Poljud in Split when the young duo line up for Dinamo Zagreb in one of the hottest rivalries in European football against Hajduk Split.

Reds scouts were alerted to the 17-year-old midfielder Kovacic and 19-year-old striker Situm recently, but United will be among several big clubs represented at the game.

Kovacic has been likened to Barcelona's Lionel Messi back in Croatia and reports claim he will be out of contract in the summer, although Dinamo are in talks to tie him down to a new deal.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger sent his chief scout Bobby Bennett to watch the pair in action against Osijek back in August and reported back in glowing terms after seeing Kovacic score once and Situm twice in a 4-0 Dinamo win.

Skysports.com understands that Manchester United are hot on the trail of Dundee United starlet Scott Allan.

The 19-year-old midfielder has made his breakthrough at Tannadice this season and a number of clubs are already queuing up to catch him in action.

He is also a Scotland Under 21 international, with a series of excellent displays on the international scene leading to speculation back in August about his future, with Newcastle mentioned before deadline day.

Now skysports.com understands that Manchester United are one of the clubs keeping tabs on him.

Martin Ferguson attended Dundee United's clash with Dunfermline last month with the purpose of catching Allan in action, but on the day he did not make it off the bench.

But with Sir Alex dispatching his brother, and most trusted scout north of the border, it is a clear indication that Allan has made a big impact.

It is also believed that Allan is yet to agree a new contract at Tannadice, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.

Should Allan decide to leave and move to England then the Tangerines would only be due minimal compensation.

Old Firm giants Rangers and Celtic are also well aware of Allan, but the chance of a move to the Premier League could be too much for any young Scot to turn down.

United boss Peter Houston has already confirmed talks are on-going over a new deal, and they remain hopeful he could be persuaded that his short-term future is best served on Tayside.

The game which ended in a goalless draw was of special interest to all at Porthmadog who themselves will come under the scrutiny of the Sky Sports cameras in November when Northern Ireland will be Wales’ opponents.
The Airfield Ground was looking good on the night and the whole occasion appeared to go very well and was a credit to our friends at the Airbus club. There was also a good crowd of 1,006 in attendance. Let’s hope that Porthmadog can do equally well when it is their turn!
Also of special interest to Port followers was that former Porthmadog Academy player, Nathan Palmer, was a member of the Welsh squad. Nathan has done extremely well and has now taken up the invitation to join the Manchester United Academy. This is a real feather in the cap of the player and also the Porthmadog Academy, its Director Mel Jones and the Academy coaches. To complete the Porthmadog connection in charge of the WelshU-16 Squad was former Porthmadog manager Osian Roberts.

Sky Sports menyebut Manchester United siap untuk mendatangkan pemain muda PSV Eindhoven Andreas Pereira ke Old Trafford.

Pemain berusia 15 tahun ini dinilai sebagai salah satu pemain terbaik dalam umurnya di Eropa dan nyaris semua klub besar sudah mengincarnya.

Lahir di Brazil, anak muda ini pindah ke Belgia dan kemudian diambil oleh PSV dari klub lokal KSKV United.

Sekarang ia sudah terus melaju dari berbagai lapisan usia di klubnya, dan menjadi pemain internasional Belgia.

Perkembangannya sempat nyaris tidak terlihat dan sekarang United terlihat seperti akan memenangi persaingan untuk mendapatkannya.

We broke the news on Saturday that United were set to clinch a deal for the 15-year-old - rated as one of the best players for his age in Europe.

The Brazilian-born Belgian youth international has accepted an offer from United, and will leave the Philips Stadion for Old Trafford in the New Year.

Manajer partizan sempet shock tuh gara2 pembatalannya di akhir tahun, mendekati masa transfer januari sementara partizan posisinya mau gak mau harus dapet duit, jadilah akhirnya dilepas ke fiorentina...

Michael Chambers, a teenage defender at Dulwich Hamlet, is the subject of an unlikely transfer pursuit involving no less than Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and seven other clubs.

Ten teams ranging from United to Bristol City, and including Everton and Aston Villa, were represented at Dulwich Hamlet’s Ryman League fixture last Saturday.

Chambers, 17, plays at centre half for Dulwich, who are top of their division. He is 6ft 2in, left-footed and has a growing reputation for elegance on the ball.

Originally with Millwall and then in Reading’s youth team, Chambers was thought to lack aggression and was released by the Championship club.

But a series of displays in senior amateur football have made him the recent focus of youth scouts across the country.

Dulwich Hamlet is where Ian Wright began his career before being signed by Crystal Palace. In March, Palace signed another 17-year-old centre half from the non-league side in Quade Taylor, while another Dulwich 17-year-old, striker Paul McCallum, joined West Ham in January.

Andreas Hoelgebaum Pereira, a coveted Belgian teenager, has claimed Manchester United have won the race to sign him, after the personal intervention of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Pereira has told the media in the Netherlands that he will sign a three-and-a-half-year deal at Old Trafford on 1 January, the day of his 16th birthday. The midfielder, who has been part of the academy at PSV Eindhoven since he was nine, was also reportedly a target for several of United's Premier League rivals, including Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.

"PSV knew that I was talking with some clubs and they respected my choice," Pereira said. "I had some doubts but at the end Manchester United is my dream team to play for. Manchester United is obviously a great club.

"I am an offensive midfielder, a real 10. Setting up my team-mates, scoring and a good shot are my qualities."

Ferguson made a personal effort to ensure Pereira chose United, a common tactic for the club's manager when looking to coax young players to join. "I have been a few times to Manchester United to have a look. I got a tour and spoke to Sir Alex Ferguson. Being a 15-year-old, to talk with such a man was great."

On Monday evening on Twitter Pereira said: "Thank you God for this beautiful opportunity."

The teenager has Brazilian family and is considered one of the brightest talents of his generation. Players of his age at PSV, though, receive only a modest training wage. In turn United will be liable for a small compensation fee for Pereira's services.

United have previously signed Ruud van Nistelrooy, Jaap Stam and Park Ji-sung from PSV Eindhoven.

They say football is a man’s game but Charlie Jackson is proving them wrong – after being spotted by Manchester United at the age of three.

The soccer whizkid, from Denton, wowed Reds scouts with his control and movement and was earmarked as a future star.

But it wasn’t until he was five that United decided he was old enough to join them for training at their development centre.

Now Charlie, who trains with top-rated youngsters almost all a year older than him, is being touted by coaches as a potential superstar of the future.

And his parents couldn’t be prouder to see him with United – even though they, like him, are massive City fans!

Charlie was spotted at three while training with Footytotz, a community football programme for boys and girls.

The United scouts singled him out but said he was too young to join them.

Two years later they returned and snapped up Charlie.

Dad Andy, 38 – who has a season ticket at the Etihad Stadium – admitted it had taken a bit of persuasion to get Charlie to wear the United badge.

Andy said: “His idols are Joe Hart and Mario Balotelli and at first he was mortified that he was having to train with United - but he seems to be getting over that a bit now.

“He loves training with the club and it’s an amazing opportunity for him.

“Everywhere we go people notice him because of his football talent, whether* it’s on the park or on holiday.

“People just stand there and watch him – they can’t believe he’s only five because he’s so good.

“He has power in his left and right foot. For a little boy he’s so strong, he’s unbelievable. Me and my wife had to get him a bicycle to try to divert his attention because he was getting so obsessed with football.”

Charlie lives with dad Andy, mum Claire, 38, and older brother Jake, 12, in Reid Close, Denton. He combines training with United once a week with Footytotz in Denton, which provides coaching for children aged two to five, and classes at Manor Park Primary School.

Financial accountant Andy added: “My wife mithered me to take him to Footytotz to begin with because she thought he was really good and was sick of him running around the house with a ball.

“It ended up being the best thing we ever did.

“We haven’t set him any long-term goals. The moment he stops enjoying football is the moment we look at doing something else with him.

“There’s no pressure on him at all but it would be nice if he plays for City one day.”

Manchester United are chasing Holland’s wonder boy Jetro Willems – as Sir Alex Ferguson looks for the next Patrice Evra.

Ferguson sent his brother Martin, a United scout, on a spying mission to watch the 17-year-old left-back play for PSV Eindhoven at the weekend, teeing up a quick move for the teenager.

Willems joined PSV from Sparta Rotterdam at the end of August, but could be on the move again if Fergie thinks the time is right to act before rivals get their act together.

The star Holland youth international has already played 20 senior matches in Dutch football – catching the eye of top clubs in England and Europe.


Fergie does not have an obvious player to groom for Evra’s role within the Old Trafford ranks.

And he could swoop soon for Willems, who signed a three-year contract at PSV, rather than wait for his price to rise.

Willems would be eligible for United’s Europa League campaign if they do *business in the New Year market.

United are likely to watch him again before the next transfer window opens, but he is a live target.

Manchester United have summoned three of South America's brightest talents from their feeder club Desportivo Brazil for a two-week trial.

Lucas Evangelista, Bruno Gomes and Aguilar, who were last year pictured in the Old Trafford directors' box with two other team-mates, will hope to impress sufficiently to earn a deal ahead of their 18th birthdays.

The youngsters were part of the Desportivo Brasil Under 17 side which recently romped to glory in the Future Cup with victory, during which strikers Bruno Gomes and Aguilar enhanced their reputations considerably.

United's relationship with Desportivo is part of a painstaking two-and-a-half-year project by the Premier League leaders to develop their own talent in South America rather than splash out huge fees on the next generation of stars.

Confidentiality agreements prevented Desportivo Brasil from revealing which of their 100-plus teenagers have a pre-contract agreement with United, but last year Sportsmail learned the three trialists, along with Gladstony, now at FC Twente, and Rafael Leao, who has previously failed to impress, were among them.

The partnership was struck after United’s pursuit of the Da Silva twins. They were first spotted as 15-year-olds but could not be formally taken out of Brazil until their 18th birthday, meaning they risked being neglected in the Fluminense youth team and they never made a senior appearance in Brazil.

Manchester United sign Brazilian Lucas as they look to the future

Manchester United have signed Brazilian youngster Lucas Evangelista in a deal that is due to be completed early next year according to Brazil football website Pitaco do gringo's. The player may come to Manchester and train with United's youth teams before the transfer is finished in order to familiarise himself with his new club and surroundings.

The transfer can only be finalised when the player turns 18 which isn't until Febraury. He's very well regarded in Brazil and competed in the Sao Paulo Cup - an under 18 competition - at the age of 16.

Lucas is a versatile midfielder who can perform roles both holding and going forward. Skilful and enthusiastic in attack, he's also aggressive in the tackle. Perhaps he's one of those all-round midfielders we used to have in football before midfield positions became so specialised!

The signing is part of Manchester United's project in Brazil which helps them identify and recruit young talent. Other players who could be set for a career at Old Trafford include Bruno Gomes and Aguilar.

There's also Gladstony who is on loan at Twente in Holland, the player had passport issues but has now managed to obtain an Italian one and is available for Steve McClaren to pick.

Lucas started his youth career with Sao Paulo before moving to Deportivo Brasil which is the club Manchester United have an agreement with. He has been compared to Brazil's Ganso by Brazilian site Olheiros.

It's not known if Manchester United intend to send the player on loan once he arrives and whether work permit issues may dictate the necessity of that.
