Man Utd trials for big Ngoo from Southend
tribalfootball

Manchester United have handed trials to Southend United centre-forward Michael Ngoo.

Ngoo helped United win the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland last week and is chasing a deal with the club's academy.

The 16 year-old stands at 6ft 4 and has been likened to new Tottenham centre-forward Peter Crouch.

Luke Hobbs, Southend's academy boss, told his club's website of Ngoo: "Michael has improved so much during the last 12 months. He is effective in the air and a good finisher. Michael is a coach's dream.

"When Dean Austin watched this team play against QPR before Christmas his opinion was that Michael was very similar to Peter Crouch when Crouch was a scholar at Tottenham and Austin was a pro there. Michael is a player with so much potential. "

Man Utd pull plug on deal for Corinthians youngster Dodo
06.08.09 | tribalfootball.com

Manchester United have pulled the plug on a deal for Corinthians defender Dodo.

The Times says United have decided not to sanction a £5.5 million deal to sign Dodô, the Corinthians defender, in the immediate future but will continue to monitor the 17-year-old Brazilian after he spent two weeks on trial recently.

The youngster was expected to move to United in February.

Le Havre lash out as United ‘poach’ Pogba
Posted by nickogs20 on August 2, 2009

http://i350.photobucket.com/albums/q439/ManUnitedYouth/Blog%20Graphics/News%20Item%20Pics/poggy.png

In a statement on their official website, French Ligue 2 side Le Havre have confirmed that their promising young midfielder Paul Pogba has joined Manchester United, much to their chagrin.

Pogba is rated as one of the most promising young players in France and has captained Les Bleus at U16 level. Of Guinean descent, the physically imposing defensive midfielder – born in March 1993 – follows the likes of Lassana Diarra, Pascal Chimbonda and Charles N’Zogbia through Le Havre’s famed youth development program, and has been tracked by a number of top European clubs for some time. Le Havre believed they had an agreement in place with the 16 year-old and his parents that would see him remain with the north coast club until at least the end of the forthcoming 2009/10 season.

Much to their annoyance that now appears to not be the case, with United appearing to have beaten Arsenal in the race to secure Pogba’s signature, and Les Ciel et Marine have reacted angrily to what they describe as the theft of their young prodigy. The following statement was posted on their official site on Friday:

“Le Havre wishes to express its indignation regarding the dealings of Manchester United’s directors in relation to Paul Pogba.

Paul Pogba, his parents and Le Havre were bound to a contract called a ‘non-solicitation agreement’ from autumn 2006. At the end of that contract, the three parties agreed to sign a trainee contract when the player matched certain age and scholarship criteria, taking him through to the end of the 2009/10 season. The player and his parents have refused to keep to the arrangement because Manchester United have offered very high sums of money to the parents of the (player) with the aim of obtaining the transfer of their son.

This this great European club with its prestigious history has not hesitated to put the player and his parents “in breach of this contract” in order to sign the player at a lower cost. This foolish act is even more unacceptable when it comes from a club of such a scale. At a time when many voices have started to be heard coming out of the EU, governments, FIFA and UEFA against ‘minor slave trade’, Manchester United have not hesitated to uproot a 16-year-old kid!

Le Havre recalls that this is the same club who, a few weeks ago, deigned to give lessons in morality with regard to the sums being paid by certain clubs in the transfer market, and yet are found today to be plundering Le Havre, and French football, of one of its best young players.

Le Havre intends to call on the authorities to denounce such behaviour and to impose heavy sanctions. We intend to put every effort towards ensuring that such incidents are frowned upon by all, and to defend the training of young people, in order to protect the values of our sport.”

For their part, United claim to have done nothing wrong in their acquisition of the player. A Reds spokesman told the BBC: “It is complete nonsense. Everything has been done within Uefa guidelines”. Nonetheless, the club are sure to be on the receiving end of further criticism for ‘poaching’ young European talent, having previously come under fire for the signings of Giuseppe Rossi, Gerard Piqué, Federico Macheda and Davide Petrucci.

As ever in cases like these, which have become increasingly common in recent years, there are mixed feelings as a fan of the recruiting club, a moral dilemma if you will. While there is obvious excitement at the arrival of such a highly-touted young player, and acknowledgement of the circumstances that lead United and other English clubs to seek to acquire players in this manner, there is also understanding of the obvious frustration and anger felt by the club who lose one of their brightest prospects.

UEFA president Michel Platini has been pushing for the introduction of a rule preventing the international transfer of players under the age of 18, and member associations, clubs, leagues and players agreed in principle at a meeting in March this year, but until such a rule is officially passed (which is likely to hinge on the outcome of Ireland’s referendum later this year on the Treaty of Lisbon and it’s clause recognising the specificity of sport) clubs are well within their rights to obtain players in the manner United have acquired Pogba.

English clubs do seem to be at the centre of the overwhelming majority of cases like this, or at the very least it seems that way. A major factor in that is the financial clout of clubs in this country and the money they are prepared to pay to young players (and their families) in comparison to their continental peers, but also worth considering is the frankly ridiculous ‘90 minute’ ruling in England that prevents clubs recruiting players from further afield than ninety minutes travelling time. When you consider that the ninety minute radius for United includes a large swathe of the Irish Sea and North Wales, and that the remainder is shared with other clubs from the North West, Yorkshire and the Midlands, you can see why clubs have tended to look further afield in recent years.

This is obviously of no consolation to the likes of Le Havre, but it goes some way to explaining the so-called ‘pillaging’ of talented youngsters from certain European countries by English clubs, and I guess to easing our collective conscience as fans of English teams. If UEFA are successful in implementing their desired restriction on the international transfer of Under-18 players however, English clubs will go from what currently seems to be a position of strength to being at a significant disadvantage compared to their European rivals – Barcelona and Real Madrid for example are free to scout Spain in its entirety.

Fiorentina are set to complain to Fifa and Uefa after teenage defender Michele Fornasier opted to move to Manchester United.

The Serie A club are threatening to take their complaints to the world governing body after the 15-year-old was snapped up by Sir Alex Ferguson - exploiting the same loophole in Italian law that enabled the club to capture Federico Macheda.

Fornasier, who turns 16 next week, was with the United youth squad at the Northern Ireland Milk Cup tournament earlier this month and is highly-rated in Italy, where he has represented the national Under-16 team.

United also captured Empoli's Alberto Massacci, another defender, last month - further opening Ferguson's Academy to accusations of 'poaching' after previous raids on Lazio for Macheda, Parma for Giuseppe Rossi and Roma for Davide Petrucci.

Betfair is a bit different to your normal bookie; they actually want you to win. Instead of a bookmaker setting the odds, their customers do. That means you. And because you compete against each other, you get better odds. Up to 20% better odds in fact. You can either make a back bet (bet on who's going to win) or place a lay bet (bet against something happening). Betfair matches people on either side of the bet with the odds they agree. Simple. United risk Uefa ruling with latest Italian raid
Fiorentina outraged at champions’ attempt to sign national Under-16 defender
By Ian Herbert
Friday, 14 August 2009

Manchester United are facing an official complaint to Uefa from the Serie A club Fiorentina after their latest move to sign young Italian talent, the national Under-16 captain Michele Fornasier.

Fornasier is 16 next week and already established at United, having played for them during the Milk Cup tournament in Northern Ireland this month. United have subsequently offered the defender a contract, much to the displeasure of Fiorentina, who, under Italian rules, are unable to sign players until their 16th birthday. It was the same loophole which enabled United to sign Federico Macheda from Lazio two years ago, incurring the wrath of the Italian side when he burst into the United first team last season

United close in on Eden Hazard
Manchester United are tracking Lille wonderkid Eden Hazard
By Givemefootball .com August 25, 2009

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has sent scouts to watch Belgian wonderkind Eden Hazard.

The Lille star won the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Season last term, and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been a long time admirer of the 18-year-old.

Hazard has already been capped by his country, and Belgian sources believe that United sent a scout to watch the player in a Europa League clash with Racing Genk last Thursday.

Inter Milan and Juventus were both linked with the player earlier in the month, according to the Italian media at least, and now Sir Alex Ferguson has signaled his intent towards the player.

Hazard has also hinted at interest in a possible move to the Premier League, and although he has a contract with his French club until 2012, he would not be impartial to a move.

Talking to L'equipe at the end of last season, Hazzard said: "We will see in the future, but for now I am a Lille player.

"I do not have a favourite club. Recently, I said that I liked Arsenal or Real Madrid, but I have the power to play in a club like Manchester or Barcelona, that would be fantastic."

United in double Italian deal talks
Manchester United, 16:44, August 26, 2009

United are in advanced talks to sign Italian teenagers Alberto Masacci and Manuel Pucciarelli from Empoli.

Masacci, 16, is a midfielder who has been tracked by United scouts for a while and arrives, like Federico Macheda and Giuseppe Rossi before him, via a loophole which prevents Italian youngsters signing for clubs in their homeland before their 16th birthday.

Striker Pucciarelli, 18, would be a surprise capture because he had already signed professional terms with the Serie B club.

United are also ready to announce the signing of 16-year-old defender Michele Fornasier from Fiorentina to further bolster the Italian flavour in the Old Trafford youth set-up.

United in for Swindon's Alex Henshall

from Mirror

Chelsea’s transfer embargo will force them to miss out on Swindon wonder-kid Alex Henshall, clearing the way for Premier League rivals Manchester United and Everton.

Blues manager Carlo Ancelotti had lined up a move for England youth winger Henshall, 15, after he impressed in the prestigious Milk Cup tournament in Ireland.

Everton and United are now locked in a two-way battle.

Swindon youth boss Dave Byrne said: “No official bid has come in for Alex.

“The last thing we want is to sell a player who has been here since the age of eight but if he decides to leave that is up to Alex and his parents.”

Manchester United threaten Le Havre with legal action as club linked with Caen midfielder Regis Etari
Last updated at 1:14 AM on 08th September 2009

Manchester United ave furiously denied allegations they have offered bribes to sign young players.

United defended their reputation in a strongly-worded statement, dismissing claims by Le Havre president Jean-Pierre Louvel that the estranged parents of French teenager Paul Pogba were paid more than £85,000 each to lure the 16-year-old to Old Trafford last month, and that the family were also offered a house in Manchester.

The controversy escalated as United were being linked with a move for another French prodigy, Caen midfielder Regis Etari.

Le Havre have called on FIFA to investigate, but United insisted they will fight any charge and threatened the French club with legal action.

The statement read: ‘Manchester United wish to categorically confirm that as a matter of club policy and in accordance with the applicable regulations, they do not offer inducements to the parents of players that sign for the club.

‘Manchester United has today written to Le Havre to put it on notice that action will be
taken if such allegations are repeated in relation to the transfer of Paul Pogba.’

It is a bold statement from United coming so soon after Chelsea were hit with a transfer embargo after FIFA found them guilty of inducing Gael Kakuta to break his contract with Lens in 2007.

United have already sparked anger in Italy by signing Federico Macheda from Lazio,
Fiorentina’s Michele Fornasier, Empoli duo Alberto Massacci and Manuel Pucciarelli, and Roma’s Davide Petrucci, and could face more trouble from the French if reports of their interest in Etari, a France Under-17 midfielder from Caen, are accurate.

MU Siap Menyerang Balik Le Havre
7 Sep 2009 21:51:17
Oleh Aditya Ramadhan

Manchester United siap menjawab komplain Le Havre, klub Ligue 2 Prancis, atas transfer Paul Pogba.

Manchester United under the spotlight over Fiorentina kid Michele Fornasier

By Sportsmail Reporter
Last updated at 12:25 PM on 09th September 2009

Italian club Fiorentina are considering a formal complaint to FIFA over the
signing of teenage defender Michele Fornasier by Manchester United.

The club have made initial contact with FIFA but no investigation has yet been launched.

United are confident of their legal position - players aged under 18 are not legally permitted to sign contracts in Italy and Fornasier was not contracted to Fiorentina when he was signed by the Manchester club this year.

Fiorentina are furious at losing out on the 16-year-old, however, and have written to FIFA.

A FIFA spokesman said: "FIFA can confirm that we were contacted by Fiorentina with regard to the potential transfer of the player, Michele Fornasier, to Manchester United.

"However, so far no formal investigation was opened since the relevant documentation still needs to be completed. Only then will we be in a position to evaluate possible future steps to be taken."

Fornasier is not the first Italian teenager signed by United - striker Federico Macheda joined from Lazio when he was 16, and another defender, Alberto Massacci, joined from Empoli this summer.

Empoli have not complained but United have asked the FA to seek international
clearance from FIFA for Massacci as none has been forthcoming from the Italian FA.

The FIFA spokesman added: "Our services were contacted by the Football Association on behalf of its member club, Manchester United, with regard to the international clearance for the player Alberto Massacci, since the FA was not able to receive the pertinent international transfer certificate from the Italian Football Federation."

Fiorentina Siap Adukan MU ke FIFA
Reky Herling Kalumata - detiksport

AFP

( key / a2s )

Manchester United and Liverpool battling to sign Real Sociedad wonderkid
Published 23:00 30/09/09 By John Cross

Manchester United and Liverpool are tracking Real Sociedad wonderkid Antoine Griezmann.

French left winger Griezmann, 18, has been watched by both Premier League clubs and Real Sociedad are trying to sign him up on a long term professional deal.

Griezmann was discovered by a scout in Paris and has been at Real Sociedad since he was 13.

Griezmann has burst on to the scene this season for the Segunda Division side. He has made four appearances, three of them off the substitutes bench.

Last Sunday Griezmann made his first ever start for Real Sociedad in a 2-0 home win over SD Huesca. The 18-year-old scored the first goal of the match in the 38th minute.

The left-footed French starlet can also play as an out and out striker.

Manchester United Closely Monitoring Two Roma Youth Players - Report
Adrian Del Monte, Goal.com

Manchester United have been known to have a keen eye for young Italian talents in recent seasons, after luring the likes of Davide Petrucci and Federico Macheda to their club.

According to the latest reports from Romagiallorossa.com though, they are keen to add a couple more starlets, both of whom currently play for Roma’s youth team.

A scout of Manchester United, David Williams, was reportedly spotted at the young Giallorossi’s most recent fixture against Empoli, and a witness spoke to Calciomercato.it, to comment on what he saw.

“Yes, Williams was there at the stadium,” the man explained. “He was definitely hiding in the stands, and I am sure that he had come to see the Roma players play.”

The talent scout is currently 70 years of age, and he is a former rugby union player. When questioned later about his presence in Italy, he had no problems in hiding who he had a keen eye on.

“Who have I come to see in Rome? I think Gianluca Caprari and Piscitelli are two Giallorossi players who have optimal quality,” he declared.

Pogba deal approved

07/10/2009 21:50, Report by Steve Bartram
FIFA has given the all-clear for Paul Pogba to be registered as a United player.

Le Havre, the 16-year-old's previous club, had lodged a complaint against Pogba's move to Old Trafford, claiming that they had agreed to enter into a contract with the midfielder at the start of the 2009/10 season.

However, after studying the case, a judge has ruled in favour of the English champions, declaring that Pogba was not contractually linked to Le Havre.

As such, United have not breached any FIFA regulations - specifically Article 19, which focuses on the protection of minors - and world football's governing body has advised the FA to register Pogba as a United player with immediate effect.

A club spokesman told ManUtd.com: "Manchester United is pleased to confirm that the Football Association has been authorised by FIFA to register Paul Pogba as a United player with immediate effect."

Le Havre have the right to appeal FIFA's decision.

Manchester United & Chelsea scout Brazil Under-20 World Cup star Alex Teixeira
11/10/2009

The News of the World report today that "Manchester United and Chelsea have sent spies to the Under-20 World Cup in Egypt to check on Brazilian teenager Alex Teixeira Santos."

The 19-year-old right-sided forward, who plays his club football for Vasco Da Gama, has been in sensational form in Egypt and has scored three goals in five games.

Aidan Magee adds in the Sunday tabloid: "At the end of last season the Brazilian club said they didn't want to sell the player for another two years. They now have serious financial problems and a deal could even be possible in January."

During the 2008 Brazilian season, Teixeira played 29 matches and scored five goals for Vasco Da Gama. He is contracted to the club until the end of 2013 and Vasco famously slapped a 100 million euro release fee on his head.

Scouts in Brazil describe Teixeira as a "very fast and technical player. Has big potential and good control of the ball. Teixeira has impressive attacking instincts." As he is predominantly right-footed, Teixeira prefers playing on the right of midfield or attack but he can perform centrally.

The highlight of Alex Teixeira’s time at the Under-20 World Cup so far came in the last 16 match against Uruguay when he scored two goals in a 3-1 victory. The brace can be seen on the videos below.

In October get 14-year-old and two other youngsters the experience of training at Manchester United's own football academy.

Playing Developer Morten Halvorsen is full of praise for G16 player.

- Sondre has had a great development. There is a player with incredible training will and very good basic skills. Fotballklokskapen makes him into something distinctive, "says Halvorsen site.

The reason why Tronstad will be invited to the club, is that he participated in a fotballeir in Kristiansund in the direction of the NFF in the summer, along with 25 other boys.

- A talent stamps can be heavy to bear, but fortunately, Sondre is a sensible boy, with his legs securely planted on the ground. He will not take off because of this. Moreover, he is good support from family and the club continues Halvorsen.

QPR hail superkid Raheem Sterling - Exclusive
Alan Nixon

Queens Park Rangers are set to make wonder boy Raheem Sterling the youngest first-teamer in British football history to ward off Premier League big boys including Manchester United.

Rangers boss Jim Magilton is so impressed by the 14-year-old striker - who is rated as highly as the young Wayne Rooney - he allowed him to train with the first team last week.

And the plan is to give him his debut soon after his 15th birthday next month to break the record of Barnsley's Reuben Noble-Lazarus who made his debut at 15 years and 45 days last season.

Sterling, a lightning-quick forward, already plays for Rangers Under-18s but QPR are scared that a major offer will be tabled. Sterling and his agent were VIP guests at the Liverpool's clash with United last Sunday as rumours abound of a £1million offer from one of the elite clubs.

Rangers will offer Sterling a fast track into their senior side, hoping it will convince him to stay. But it looks a losing battle as Sterling missed a meeting where he was due to sign a YTS contract and headed for the game at Anfield.

Chase on for River starlet
United tracking Argentine youngster
By Fotis Voinikas Last updated: 2nd November 2009

Manchester United and Panathinaikos are amongst the clubs chasing Argentine starlet Daniel Villalva, skysports.com understands.

The 17-year-old is already being labelled the next Lionel Messi, and is currently starring in the World Under-17 World Cup.

Villalva rose to prominence some months ago when he became the youngest ever player for River Plate - when he played for the first team aged just 16 years and seven months.

Now clubs are keeping a close eye on Villalva's progress, and Pana and United are known to both be keeping tabs on him.

Youngster impresses United
14-year-old impresses Red Devils coaches during trial

Manchester United have asked Norwegian youngster Sondre Tronstad back for a second trial after he impressed recently.

The 14-year-old is thought to have performed well in front of Red Devils coaches and was asked back in February or March.

Tronstad admitted he was delighted to be spotted by United scouts despite the fact that he supports bitter rivals Liverpool.

Two other Norwegian youngsters Mads Daehli and Herman Stengel also went down for trials.

"They have said that it went well and that I should come back in February or March," Tronstad told fvn.no.

"It's a bit special to visit Manchester United since I am a Liverpool supporter. But I felt it was a good chance."

Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea scramble to sign Connor Wickham - the next Wayne Rooney
By JOE BERNSTEIN Last updated at 3:10 PM on 15th November 2009

Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea will be involved in an unprecedented scramble to sign 16-year-old striker Connor Wickham from Ipswich in January.

Wickham, the youngest first-team player in Ipswich's history, is regarded in the game as the most exciting young Englishman to emerge since Wayne Rooney.

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2009/11/14/article-1227883-073714C5000005DC-5_468x659.jpg
Target: Ipswich Town's Connor Wickham

He added to his fast-growing reputation with a hat-trick for England Under-17s a fortnight ago and Roy Keane's club fear he may be lured away before he can sign a professional contract in March.

The Premier League's Big Four are all chasing him - the first time that has happened with a teenager in England - with Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger both taking a keen interest, while Aston Villa and Tottenham are also trying to get him.

A club source said: 'Whenever Wickham is down to play for the first team or reserves, two dozen scouts emerge out of nowhere to watch him. The consensus is he's as good as Rooney was at that age but is a lot bigger.'

Colchester-born Wickham is already 6ft 3in and has still to agree a contract at Ipswich, leaving them vulnerable to approaches from the big clubs. Although Ipswich would be in line for compensation, a fee would have to be decided by tribunal should all parties be unable to agree a figure.

In 2008 Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan said he felt 'mugged and brutalised' after being awarded just £700,000 when John Bostock left the Championship club to join Spurs.
Bostock yesterday scored twice for Brentford, where he is on loan from Spurs, in the 2-2 draw against Millwall in their League One match at Griffin Park.

Wickham became Ipswich's youngest player when he made his debut against Doncaster Rovers last season aged just 16 years and 11 days.

He scored his first senior goals in the Carling Cup against Shrewsbury this season and, although manager Keane has used him mainly as a substitute, he is likely to start at home to Sheffield Wednesday next Saturday as Ipswich chase only their second win of the season.

Wickham, who can officially turn professional only on his 17th birthday on March 31, scored a hat-trick in 21 minutes for England in the UEFA Under 17s Championship in a 4-0 win against Azerbaijan in Baku, helping to book his country's place in next year's elite round.

Keane has been trying to shield the player against high expectations, but the Irishman did say: 'Connor is a great talent, there's no doubt about that.'

Romelu Lukaku: 16-Year-Old ‘New Drogba’ Scoring Sensation Chased by Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool & Chelsea

http://community.footballpools.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/romelu-lukaku-hands-on-head-200.jpg

The Premier League’s big guns are all currently monitoring the form of one of Europe’s brightest young starlets Romelu Lukaku. The 16-year-old striker has broken into Belgian giants Anderlecht’s first team despite his tender years. His form and goal scoring record have made him one of the most sought after youngsters in world football with Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Man City, AC Milan and Real Madrid all having been linked to the Belgian.

Lukaku made his senior debut in Anderlecht’s championship play-off with Standard Liege back in May. He came on as a substitute just 11 days after signing his first professional contract. The fact that the youngster was thrown into a title-deciding match perfectly illustrates how highly regarded he is as a player at his club. However, it is this season that the teenager has really come of age with 7 goals in just eleven league appearances (5 starts).

The impact the youngster has had in his homeland is similar to that of Wayne Rooney’s impact as a 16-year-old at Everton. Like Rooney, Lukaku is physically strong for his age but is also far taller than the England striker. At 6 ft 3 and a half, the Anderlecht man has shown both the power and athleticism to make a major impact for his club despite his relative inexperience.

The Anderlecht striker has been labelled the ‘new Didier Drogba’ by the Belgian press and is not only extremely quick but also very strong in the air. It’s hardly surprising that Lukaku has made such an excellent transition into senior football as his record at youth level is simply exceptional. Prior to joining Anderlecht, Lukaku played for both Lierse and FC Brussels youth teams. He scored an incredible 130 goals in just 68 youth games for Lierse and 121 in 88 youth matches for Anderlecht.

The striker was born in Antwerp but is of Congolese descent and has already broken into the Belgian U21 side where he has scored one goal in five caps (3 starts). One thing’s for certain, there is no shortage of admirers in the teen sensation with Chelsea the latest club to be linked with a January move for the striker who tops his club’s scoring charts and is joint 2nd in the Belgium top division behind Standard’s Milan Jovanovic who has scored nine times. Jovanovic’s 9-goal tally includes 3 penalties and has come from 13 league starts which shows how remarkable Lukaku’s record is. After all, the 16-year-old does not take penalties and has yet to complete an entire 90 minutes of any of his five league starts for Anderlecht. Four goals in his last four league appearances (3 starts) suggest the striker is getting better and better.

Lukaku has also experienced European football this season in both the Champions League qualifiers and the Europa League. He came on as a sub for nineteen minutes in the 5-1 defeat in Lyon which made him the youngest player ever to appear in that competition at 16 years and 98 days.

http://community.footballpools.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/romelu-lukaku-run-240.jpg

Chelsea’s interest is unsurprising as they are scouring world football for an heir to their talisman Drogba especially with the African Cup of Nations taking place this season. Lukaku would be an ideal signing as both a rival to the Ivory Coast striker as well as a prodigy to slowly progress into the first team. Arsene Wenger has also had the player tracked with former Arsenal captain Tony Adams recently sent to watch the teenager.

Manchester United are also monitoring the player’s form. Sir Alex Ferguson has shown he is not afraid to spend big on potential which is perfectly illustrated by past teenage signings Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo. However, United are not alone in their interest as the likes of Liverpool, Spurs and Man City as well as a host of top European clubs are flocking to Belgium to see the youngster in action.

Lukaku’s contract runs until 2012 but Anderlecht face a mighty fight on their hands to keep their new star with some of Europe’s biggest clubs ready to pounce. Whether the Belgian leaves this January or not, we are sure to hear plenty about the sensational talents of Romelu Lukaku who is averaging a goal in every 85 minutes of league football.

Man United & Liverpool Chase Argyle Defender

Top Premier League clubs Manchester United and Liverpool have been linked with a move for young Plymouth Argyle defender Jamie Richards.

The 16-year old tall left-sided defender has been playing for Argyle's Under-18 side since the age of 15 and has been earning rave reviews.

A national newspaper has reported that Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to beat rivals Liverpool to the signing of Richards, with the move going ahead in the next few weeks.

Tottenham set to beat Manchester United for young Plymouth defender
Published 23:59 17/11/09 By By Alan Nixon

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is ready to win the race for Plymouth's highly-rated young defender Jamie Richards and sign him as a full-time professional.

The giant centre back has sparked attention with his displays for Argyle's youth teams and is set to move to the Premier League.

Manchester United have also been watching Richards, but his family are from the London area and he seems set to choose Spurs to continue his football education.

Richards, who has yet to commit his future to Argyle, would cost Spurs a compensation fee of around £500,000 but rising over appearances.

MANCHESTER UNITED are poised to make a £5million move for Argentine wonderkid Daniel Villalva.

Villalva, who plays for River Plate, has already been labelled the new Lionel Messi and is attracting interest from a number of top European clubs, including Real Madrid.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is planning to send scouts to watch the talented forward play in the Under-17 World Cup in Nigeria and clinch his signature ahead of their rivals.

Villalva, 17, said: "I am calm about my future and will not let things go to my head about a move to Europe.

"I'm happy to continue playing at River Plate and want to help them become champions."

Panathinaikos are also admirers of the teenager, nicknamed 'Keko', who made his debut at the tender age of 16.

MU Bidik Remaja 17 Tahun Argentina
Doni Wahyudi - detiksport

ist.

Ferguson closing in on Brazilian trialist Dodo
-sport.co.uk-

http://www.sport.co.uk/public/images_news/AI_Ferguson7112008.jpg

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is closing in on a move for left sided Brazilian defender Dodo according to reports in the youngster's homeland. The Daily Mail and Daily Mirror reported in May that the Red Devils were close to securing a £5 million move for the Corinthians wonderkid, however a deal was put on hold until Fergie could have a close look at the player.

Manchester United scouts have watched Dodo in action on several occasions, most recently against Fluminese and are ready to confirm the transfer. The talented defender also accepted an invitation to take up a trial at Manchester United's training complex Carrington, and has reportedly impressed United coaches with Fergie eager to seal a deal for the starlet who excelled at the recent South American Under 17 World Championship in the Summer.

Dodo was quoted in the summer before the move was first put on hold that he was looking forward to moving to England:

"Every player dreams to play in the national team and then be transferred to a European team. I am doing that. Next year I will join the first team of Manchester United. I am going to play next to the best players of the world.

"As there are already some Brazilians in England I suppose that I am going to get adapted easier.

"I have never played with the twins Fabio and Rafael, neither with Anderson, but it's good for me to have them near. Even Cristiano Ronaldo as he speaks in Portuguese."

If Dodo completes his transfer he will join Brazilian compratiots Rodrigo Possebon (Brazilian born Italian footballer), Fabio and Raphael Da Silva, and Anderson. However reports suggest Dodo will dodge any work permit issues as he holds a Portuguese passport.

"I started playing at Cruzeiro. I was 11 years old and played there for three years. Then I went to Corinthians where I am since 2007. I returned from being on duty with the under 17 national team and only had time to be with my parents for a few hours.

"I received the instructions to travel to England. I don't know how to speak in English but I am travelling with an interpreter.

"The way in which I play is the typical Brazilian style, with technique and ability. I also get identified with European style so that mixture can be something very good for me."
Dodo is reportedly expected to join up with Manchester United in the New Year with the figure of £5 million mooted as the agreed price for the starlet.

Arsenal have emerged as favourites to sign Queens Park Rangers wonderkid Raheem Sterling.

The 14-year-old has also been watched by Chelsea, Liverpool and both Manchester United and City.

But Sterling is reportedly in the frame to join the Gunners after talking to head of youth development Liam Brady.

The England Under 16 international (pictured right) recently said he was happy to stay with Rangers, but his days at the club seem numbered.

Rangers could expect about £750,000 in compensation plus add-ons if Sterling moved.

Manchester United pip Arsenal to signing of Welsh wonderkid Adam Matthews

Sir Alex Ferguson has got revenge on Arsene Wenger after Manchester United wrapped up a deal to sign 17-year-old Welsh wonder Adam Matthews.

United were famously left with egg on their face when they announced the signing of former Cardiff City midfielder Aaron Ramsey before the player opted to join Wenger at Arsenal in 2008.

The deal for Matthew cannot go through until the transfer window opens in January but it is expected to hit any last-minute snags.

Arsenal were thought to be interested in the defender, but Ferguson moved quickly in securing the Welsh wonder's signature.

Matthews, who has made 12 Championship starts for the Bluebirds, will cost United £5million with further payments to follow as the Swansea-born player progresses through their ranks.

United and Toffees eye Belgian
Youngster has trial at Carrington
Last updated: 28th November 2009

Manchester United and Everton are both keen on Royal Antwerp starlet Geoffrey Hairemans.

And it would appear United are heading the race for the young midfielder, having handed him a trial at Carrington this week.

United's cause is further improved by the fact that Antwerp are their feeder club in Belgium.

Hairemans, 18, has broken into Antwerp's first-team this season and has impressed United's scouting network.

He revealed that Warren Joyce - who previously worked at Antwerp and is now United reserve coach - had invited him to England.

"I have had a very nice week, many boys would pay huge money to share such an experience," Hairemans said.

Owen

"The intensity was very high and the training those guys do was quite hard.

"I also trained with the first-team boys, with Paul Scholes and Michael Owen, but I dared not speak with them."

Hairemans, who likes to play on the left, also confirmed that he is aware that Everton have been watching him.

"I was shocked when I learnt that an Everton scout was watching me," he said.

"I have never expected anything like this, but I am very happy about the interest."

Westerlo are also keen to keep the player in Belgium, and Hairemans has admitted he wants to remain with Antwerp until the end of the season.

Jones denies Matthews deal
Cardiff deny agreement with United
Last updated: 29th November 2009

Cardiff City boss Dave Jones has told Sky Sports that Manchester United have not agreed a deal for Adam Matthews.

A host of Premier League clubs are said to be showing an interest in the exciting full-back, who has burst onto the first-team scene this term.

Reports had speculated this week that United had fended off rival interest and struck a deal for the 17-year-old.

"It is pure speculation," Jones told Sky Sports News.

"Nothing has happened, nothing has been said and at this point in time we are trying to build and if we can keep hold of all our best young players, that is the best way to do it."

Jones did admit that if United were to come in for Matthews, they would find it very hard to stand in his way.

"We have always maintained that if the right offer comes in for one of our players, and it is the right offer for this club we would listen," he continued.

"It is very difficult if Manchester United are interested, for us to say stay here and see out your contract with Cardiff and forget about going into the Premier League with one of the best clubs in Europe, we had that problem with Aaron Ramsey when Arsenal came in, if there is an offer made, then that will be done and we will look at it if it comes in writing."

The Cardiff boss admits that Premier League interest in his players is flattering.

"Every week we seem to be getting links with Premier League clubs wanting our players, last week we had Peter Whittingham linked with Sunderland, week before that Jay Bothroyd with Aston Villa, it just means we must be doing something right," he stated.

Hovland currently plays for Sogndal, but missed the majority of the recent domestic season due to a broken leg.

He is now heading to the Premier League champions for a training period and Sogndal are happy to let the 20-year-old link up with United.

"We have accepted a trial since it's good for Even," Sogndal director Trond Fylling told the club's official website.

"Even has been out for large parts of the season and needs training more than a holiday."

Peter Orry Larsen Invited To Train At Manchester United - Report

The Red Devils are hoping to entice another youngster to Old Trafford...

Manchester United's policy of recruiting young talent is set to continue as the Old Trafford management have invited midfield starlet Peter Orry Larsen to train with them, according to various reports in the Norwegian media, including Channel 2 and NRK.

Larsen is currently employed by Aalesunds FK, an established club in the Tippeligaen (Norwegian Premier League).

According to the reports, Kjetil Rekdal - the club's manager - believes Jim Solbakken, Larsen's agent, organised the trial in association with United's youth-team coach Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, who also happens to be one of Solbakken's clients.

The Tippaligaen is currently on hiatus due to the winter close season, and Rekdal admitted it is "problematic that the players use their holidays to train with foreign clubs".

United have also been linked with Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell, Sporting Lisbon goalkeeper Rui Patricio and Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson set to swoop for Serbian starlet
Published 23:00 15/12/09 By MirrorFootball

Manchester United are targeting young Serbian central defender Uros Cosic - seen by his club CSKA Moscow as potentially a bigger talent than Nemanja Vidic.

The 17-year-old may move to Old Trafford next year, despite CSKA’s desire to keep him, admitted club president Yevgeni Giner.

So highly is he rated that the Moscow outfit has enlisted the help of Kremlin president Dmitry Medvedev in a bid to grant him Russian citizenship.

“I must stress that we would like to keep Cosic”, said Giner.

“We even offered him Russian citizenship. It now depends upon the Presdent Medvedev whether it is granted or not.

“I have not seen such a great central defender before, not to mention that he is only 17.

“But Manchester United would also love to have him.

“They have already made several attempts to approach me about him, asking if I was ready to negotiate.

“They can see - the boy is going to grow into a bigger star than Vidic.”

Manchester United - Adam Matthews is tipped to be a future Welsh star

Manchester United are reportedly interested in Cardiff youngster Adam Matthews.

The 17-year-old full back, who started out in the midfield positions for the Bluebirds, has burst onto the seen this season, scoring his first senior goal for his side in the October victory over Watford.

United were reportedly close to closing a deal for the player at the end of November, beating Arsene Wenger and Arsenal to a player regarded as a future star. Aaron Ramsey had recommended the youngster to the Frenchman, but it's the Red Devils who are favourites to land the player.

The original deal was unconfirmed by both United and Cardiff, and word went quiet on the player for a few weeks.

However, reports have resurfaced today suggesting that United are close to completing the move for a player dubbed the 'next Ramsey'. If a deal does go through, it is likely to be in the January transfer window.

Matthews is the latest Welsh youngster to attract interest in the Premier League, with Ramsey, Gareth Bale and Chris Gunter all graduating to the Premier League from outside the top flight.

Like Gunter, Matthews could find himself loaned out to the Championship in a bid to maintain his fitness levels, and a deal in Januuary that sees him spend another six months with Cardiff would not be out of the question.

VIVAnews - Manchester United berniat memperkokoh lini pertahanan mereka.

Apalagi dia baru 17 tahun. Namun MU juga menginginkan tenaganya."

Giner menambahkan pihak MU sudah beberapa kali mencoba menghubunginya untuk melakukan negosiasi.

"Mereka bisa melihat kalau anak muda itu akan berkembang menjadi lebih hebat dari Vidic."

Madrid-MU Berebut "Drogba Baru"

http://www.kompas.com/data/photo/2009/12/24/2145109p.jpg

Sang pelatih sendiri yakin, Babacar bakal menjadi pemain hebat. Maka, dia segera menjadi incaran klub-klub besar.

(GL)

Arsenal and Manchester United target Cardiff's Adam Matthews
Arsenal and Manchester United have both expressed interest in Cardiff City's Adam Matthews, according to club chairman Peter Risdale.

The Championship club are no strangers to losing emerging young talent to Premier League clubs with Joe Ledley, Chris Gunter and Aaron Ramsey all having moved to the top league in recent years. But Risdale is adamant the club will do all they can to keep the 17 year-old defender.

"We have had two or three enquiries and I know Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in the lad," Ridsdale said. "But there is no agreement with any club, verbal or otherwise. We want Adam to stay with Cardiff and that's what we are hoping will happen.

"Our aim is to strengthen the squad and we are working on a list of players Dave Jones has provided. Hopefully, we can bring a new signing in this week, in time for the Blackpool match. That's what we are working towards.

"There have been verbal enquiries about two other Cardiff players, but no formal offers for anybody.

"We don't want to let any key players go."

Cardiff will no doubt be on the hunt for a central midfielder following news that loan target Fabian Delph will not be allowed to leave Aston Villa.

Capped for Scotland at under-17 and under-19 level, Wilson is widely touted as an excellent prospect for the future.

The teenager has already made a handful of appearances for Rangers' first-team, making his professional debut in the Scottish League Cup in a 3-1 win against Dundee.

A host of Premier League clubs have reportedly been alerted by the players' potential, with Chelsea and Spurs said to be interested.

18-year-old Wilson wears squad number 66 at Ibrox Park.

United to trial Swedish teen
Youngster will join up with United's youth academy in February
Last updated: 13th January 2010

Manchester United are set to hand Swedish teenager Rasmus Lindgran a week-long trial.

The 15-year-old, not to be mistaken with the Ajax midfielder of the same name, will join up with United's youth academy in February.

His father Mikael Lindgren admits he is bowled over by the scheduled trial, saying there are none bigger than the 11-times Premier League champions.

He does, however, admit that his son will likely stay in Sweden for the time being because he is too young to move abroad.

"It can probably not be any bigger than this," Lindgren snr told Dala-demokraten.

"I find it hard to believe he would move to a club abroad already though."

Lindgran has been linked with Swedish sides Brage, Gefle and IFK Gothenburg in recent weeks.

United cast eye over trio
Red Devils take three young Swedish players on trial
By Richard Torgerson Last updated: 21st January 2010

Manchester United have taken a trio of young Swedish players on trial with a view to offering them permanent contracts.

The Red Devils have seen all three players, all of whom are 15-years-old, before but seem keen to have a second look at the youngsters in question.

Rasmus Lindgren has been invited to Old Trafford but has already stated that he does not believe his career will benefit from joining the Premier League champions at this moment in time.

Joining Lindgren are Brommapojkarnas ace Simon Tibbling and Vasteras starlet Linus Sjoberg but Brommapojkarnas coach and United scout Tommy Soderstrom highlights that the club are particularly interested in Tibbling.

"United find him interesting," he told Expressen.

"United found him really interesting. He is far from ready but he still copes really well."

Moussa Sissoko: Manchester United to Sign Toulouse’s ‘New Vieira’?

According to reports in the French press, Manchester United have opened negotiations with Toulouse for their star midfielder Moussa Sissoko. With Owen Hargreaves injury problems continuing and a lack of strength in the centre of midfield, Sir Alex Ferguson has made the 20-year-old Frenchman his top transfer target.

http://community.footballpools.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/moussa-sissoko-200-france.jpg

Inter Milan, Lyon and Tottenham are also interested in Sissoko but it is Manchester United who are leading the chase to seal the deal before the end of the transfer window. The player is unlikely to come cheap as he has become one of the best midfielders in the French League despite his age and is widely tipped to make the national squad for the World Cup.

It is hardly surprising that there’s so much interest in 20-year-old Sissoko as he was a revelation last season for the French club that finished 4th in Lique One and has been even better this season which has had the Manchester United scouts flooding to Toulouse as the club look for a talented midfield enforcer to improve the Red Devils squad.

Sissoko may be just 20-years-old but stands at 6 ft 1 and is powerfully built. He has been likened to Real Madrid star Mahmadou Diarra and new Manchester City signing Patrick Vieira for his box to box powerful displays. Manchester United have targeted more athleticism in the centre of the park and there are few young players with such a strong reputation who are not playing at one of the big clubs.

Sissoko extended his contract earlier this season but it’s unlikely he’ll remain in France. The player spoke sensibly regarding the interest from the Premier League, “I have to learn my trade here.”

“I like the Premier League, but I am in no hurry to get there. There will be time for that in the future.

“At the moment I am trying to do my best in the French top-flight.”

The young star was born in Le Blanc-Mesnil but is of Malian descent. He played for local side US Aulnay and Red Star before moving to Toulouse to join their U14 side. His quality was there to see despite his young age and the club fought off interest from a number of clubs to sign the player on a professional contract in January 2007.

Sissoko broke into the Toulouse first team in 2007/08 making his league debut as a substitute in a 3-1 loss to Valenciennes in August 2007. That same month, the combative midfielder made his European debut in a 1-0 home Champions League qualifying loss to Liverpool. He played just 7 minutes but was booked in that time. Despite his age, Sissoko made 30 league appearances that season (22 starts) as Toulouse escaped relegation by just one place.

Last season Sissoko continued his rapid rise with 35 league appearances (24 starts), scoring 4 times. He also became a regular in the French U21 side making 14 impressive performances. He scored his only goal at this level in France’s 2-0 friendly win in England back in March where he was heavily scouted.

This season Toulouse are currently 12th but Sissoko has shone after scoring 7 goals in 21 appearances (19 starts). The midfielder also scored in the Europa League clash with Club Brugge so is certainly increasing his reputation. This is quite some tally for a player who is renowned for his defensive work and tackling ability. Manchester United have shown a weakness in midfield with no defensive platform in front of their back four, they’ve been conceding plenty of goals. Hargreaves was bought for that reason to follow in a long line of strong aggressive midfielders that have excelled under Sir Alex Ferguson.

That list includes Bryan Robson, Paul Ince, Nicky Butt and Roy Keane but without that figure in the current midfield, United have at times struggled to compete physically. Anderson has not performed as was expected of him when he signed as he has failed to cement a permanent place in the team. Darren Fletcher has performed well but even his performances have dipped of late which has prompted the latest Manchester United interest.

Sissoko’s form has led to him breaking into the French international squad. He played in the last two World Cup qualifiers, starting the 3-1 win over Austria. He was also picked in Raymond Domenech’s squad for the World Cup play-offs with the Republic of Ireland but did not feature.

Manchester United will be encouraged by comments from the payer earlier last season, “It is good to be watched by scouts,” Sissoko told skysports.com.

“I love the Premier League. It is the best league in the world. The stadiums are always full and I believe my game would be suited to the English style as I like the physical aspects of it.

“But, it is up to Toulouse. I am happy here and I am still learning. If they think it is time for me to move on then I will, but at the moment my desire is to play for Toulouse and keep on proving myself.”

As interest continues to grow in the impressive starlet, we’d like to know whether Manchester United fans feel they need a defensive midfield player of Sissoko’s mould to enforce the club’s title bid. Let’s hear your views.

Manchester United In Last-Minute Bid To Snare Racing Sensation Sergio Canales - Report
The English champions are the latest club to be linked with the starlet...
By Paul Macdonald

Premier League giants Manchester United are set for a late transfer window swoop to secure the services of Racing Santander teenager Sergio Canales, according to reports from England.

The Sunday People reports that Sir Alex Ferguson is aware that Real Madrid are thought to be close to a deal for the prodigious youngster, and is looking to hijack any proposed deal Los Blancos have in place.

Canales has been one of the stars of the La Liga season, and came to prominence after two stunning goals helped Racing to a 2-1 win away to Sevilla last month.

He is out of contract at the end of the season, and it is thought that any deal would involve Canales being loaned back to Racing for a season in order to gather first-team experience.

Ferguson is allegedly staging a meeting with Canales and his father Angel in order to discuss the possibility of a move to England. It is also thought that the 18-year old would be open to a move to the Red Devils.

Canales has been capped at international level by Spain from under 16 through to under 19, and recently Vicente del Bosque, coach of the senior side, hinted that he may be ready to give him his first full cap in the build up to the World Cup in South Africa.

United target South American starlet
Manchester United - Juan Iturbe is linked with a move to Old Trafford
By GMF Editor February 07, 2010

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is being linked with a move for Paraguayan teenager Juan Iturbe.

The 16-year-old striker plays club football for Cerro Porteno in his homeland, and The People reports that Manchester United lead a host of clubs in a building race for the young talent.

A versatile youngster who can also play in the left wing position, Ferguson has reportedly been made aware of Iturbe after he broke into the Paraguay U20 side.

He has also become a regular for his club despite being of such a young age, and Real Madrid and Roma are believed to be interested in a summer move.

Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are also thought to have monitored Iturbe, who has built a reputation as one of the rising stars in South American football.

Sir Alex Ferguson could be interested in a move that sees Iturbe loaned back to Azulgrana, but a move looks almost certain for this precocious talent as the cream of Europe take interest in the forward.

A report in The People this morning claims Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is chasing 16-year-old Paraguay striker Juan Iturbe from Cerro Porteno .

Iturbe came to Manchester United’s attention after breaking into the Cerro Porteno side last year.

He has also just been called up for the Paraguay Under-20 squad and has been a regular in the Cerro Porteno first team in recent weeks.

Real Madrid, Roma and Tottenham have all been linked with Iturbe who is tipped to be a major South American star in the coming years.

MAN UTD LOSE OUT IN RACE FOR SERGIO CANALES
People.co.uk - 7 February 2010

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has lost out in his battle with REAL MADRID for Spanish wonder boy Sergio Canales.

Ferguson's chase finally ended yesterday when the teenage attacker agreed to join Real from Racing Santander in a deal worth £4.5million - despite United's major interest.

Canales, 18, will be allowed to stay with Racing for the rest of the season and the whole of next term - and will pick up a £30,000-a-week contract at the Bernabeu.

Real have also slapped a £15m buy-out clause in the deal to prevent Canales from being pinched.

Meanwhile, Fergie is keen to land 16-year-old Paraguay striking sensation Juan Iturbe from Cerro Porteno.

Manchester United drop interest in Corinthians star

Manchester United have decided to drop their interest in Corinthians teenager Dodo, according to reports in South America.

The agreement with ‘Timão’, which gives the English club first option on the player, expires next Monday, and they have yet to place a bid.

Today Corinthians president Andres Sanchez confirmed: "Manchester have priority until February 15, if they pay €9m there is nothing I can do."

The deadline has been dismissed by both Manchester United and Dodo’s agent Wagner Ribeiro, with both parties stressing that the clause runs for another year.

This latest news from São Paulo will worry Manchester United fans, many of whom believe a similar deal for Serbian teenager Adem Ljajic; collapsed because the financial burden put on the club by the current Glazer ownership.

The deal has also been stalled by the complexities of Dodo’s third party ownership, as his registration is owned by both Corinthians (70%) and local businessman (30%).

A composed, skilful centre-half, Dodo was included in Brazil’s squad for last year’s FIFA Under-17 World Championships, but sat out all three games in an unsuccessful group campaign.

He would face stiff competition for places at United, with 20-year-old Chris Smalling recently added to an impressive group of centre-halves, including the new England captain Rio Ferdinand, whom Dodo’s playing style has been likened to.

Manchester United's youth chief Brian McClair ran the rule over QPR whizz kid Raheem Sterling at the weekend as the Premier League champions joined the race to sign the 15-year-old hot prospect.

Manchester City, Arsenal and Fulham all want to sign attacking midfielder Sterling and McClair was in attendance as a VIP guest at QPR's latest Under 18 match in a personal scouting mission, says The Mirror.

Rangers' valuation of the player has so far stalled any deal but United's interest appears strong enough to be willing to thrash out a fee.

Sterling was born in Jamaica but raised in London, and has represented England at youth level.

United lead race to land wonderkid
Manchester United are at the head of the queue for QPR wonder boy Raheem Sterling - and desperate to beat all of their big-money rivals. United's youth chief Brian McClair was a VIP guest at Sterling's under-18 game at the weekend as he made a final check on the kid who has been the talk of Rangers for a couple of months. Attacking midfielder Sterling, still just 15, was pencilled in for a record-breaking first-team game when Jim Magilton was in charge - and has also dazzled for England's young sides. Now McClair is targetting the whizz kid for an immediate move, beating off Manchester City, Arsenal and Fulham who all want him. Sterling was born in Jamaica, but raised in London. He looks the best prospect for his age and United are keen to land a player who could be a household name for years to come. United and City are battling bitterly for top young talent just now and are also in a tug-of-war for Nigerian midfielder Azeez Ramon who was named the best in his position at the recent FIFA under-17 world cup.
Alan Nixon, Daily Mirror

Sir Alex Ferguson has branded Wayne Rooney 'world class' in recent weeks, but has also told his star striker exactly where he needs to hone his game. "Where I hope he improves more is with his predatory instinct in the penalty box," says the United manager. "He's still got to get to the levels of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Andy Cole and Ruud van Nistelrooy. If he got to that level he would be the best in the world."

AC Milan manager Leonardo has offered to quit after the Rossoneri's Champions League defeat to United, according to The Daily Mail. "If the President wants, I will step aside," says the Brazilian. "All I need is the word."

Man Utd Target Dinamo Zagreb’s Milan Badelj

http://www.whoateallthepies.tv/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/PA-7780084.jpg

Where have we heard this one before, Manchester United willing to pay over the odds for Eastern European ’starlets’ that go on to make absolutely no impact at the club whatsoever?

Anyone remember Zoran (’the new Ryan Giggs’) Tosic or Adem (’the new Kaka’) Ljajic?

No… …me neither.

Anywho, The Red Devils have reportedly entered the race to sign Dinamo Zagreb’s young star Milan Badelj in the summer for a fee touted to be up around the £8 million mark.

Sir Alex Ferguson has apparently been tipped off by his scouts that the young Croatian playmaker has the potential to become ‘the new Luka Modric’ but United may face competition for his signature as Badelj has also been attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Inter Milan and Lyon.

Sondre Tronstad 14yr, from IK Start.
This is a smal player as far as I can tell. He's said to have a great attitude, and footballsmartness. reminds me a bit of Eikrem. I do not know anything more about this player, but I will try to find out more.

Mats Dæhli from FC LYN. (klub yang sama dengan obi mikel)

Herman Stengel from Stabæk FK
I just found an article about Herman Stengel, he made his U18 debut for Stabekk last month. Not bad since he have just turned 14 August 26th.

source from Redcafe by LouisRocca

The noggies where back in Manchester last week, playing Tranmere and Preston, won both.

This time It was Herman Stengel, Sondre Tronstad who had their second trial, and Ohi Omoijuanfo(I think) from Lillestrøm, born 1994(a year older then the rest) and Mithan Ahilan from Rommen, born 1995. Ohi I think is a midfielder and Mithan a Centerback.

Mads Dæhli didn't make the trip this time, because he was on a trainingcamp in Turkie with his U19 team. Mads is thought to be the biggest talent of the bunch. Mads will travel to Manchester alone in April.

Agent confirms United interest in Croat kid

Manchester United, 13:29, March 4, 2010
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3e/Milan_Badelj_04-2009.jpg

Milan Badelj's agent has confirmed United's interest in the 21-year-old Dinamo Zagreb starlet - likened to ex-Milan ace Zvonimir Boban.
The Croatian playmaker has also been compared to Tottenham's Luka Modric recently and is said to come with a £8million price-tag after a number of top performances for his club and his country's Under-21s this season.

Badelj was excellent again this week as Croatia lost 3-1 to France Under-21 in Reims, watched by a host of scouts from around Europe, and his agent has revealed that United have long been aware of his burgeoning talent.

Dejan Joksimovic said: "Manchester [United] have followed him for a long time and is interested. But Milan cannot play in the Premier League because he is not in the [senior national] selection. That would prevent to him from obtaining a work permit in the United Kingdom.

"Last summer CSKA Moscow made a very beautiful offer. But Milan had preferred to remain in Croatia."

The agent also suggested that his performance for Croatia's Under-21s had brought him to the top of many French club's wanted lists.

"On Tuesday in Reims well, Milan played and several French teams noticed it. Some are very interested. His transfer fee is estimated between 8 and 10 million euros, but it must be a top club from a top league," he said.

"League 1 is a very strong championship. This challenge could tempt him."

Joe (16) signs for Man United

http://www.herald.ie/multimedia/archive/00532/1903_coll_indo_532642t.jpg

A TINY village in the Gaeltacht is on cloud nine after Manchester United signed a local teenager for a three-year deal as a goalkeeper.

Joe Coll, who turned 16 last month, signed on the dotted line last Saturday with manager Alex Ferguson.

He has already appeared on Ireland under-age teams and is tipped to be the third goalkeeper from Donegal to be the number one choice for the senior national team after Packie Bonner and Shay Given.

Joe, who is six-foot-one-and-a-half-inches tall, heads off to Old Trafford on Sunday for a full medical.

Arrangements are being made to continue his schooling after he joins the club full-time on July 5.

But yesterday he was still at school at Pobalscoil Chloich Cheannfhaola, Falcarragh, where he is in fourth year.

Dad Tom, a FAS-scheme youth worker with Joe's Glenea United team in the Donegal Youth League, said: "The whole area is very excited but young Joe still has his feet very much on the ground."

Tom, a 49-year-old former striker, won an FAI Junior Cup medal in 1979.

Several UK clubs approached Joe in recent years after he was spotted by a Charlton scout playing in an under-13 competition in Limerick.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Wolves, Newcastle, Spurs, Manchester City and Celtic showed interest, but Alex Ferguson convinced him his future lay at United.

"He wished me good luck and success and he told me they were not signing me just for the sake of signing me but one day to become the number one at the club."

“I’ve talked to (United manager) Sir Alex Ferguson and he’s going on trial,” club president Ventsislav Stefanov told the Bulgarian state agency BTA.

French-born Mbolhi, 24, joined Slavia in June and was voted the Bulgarian league’s best keeper seven months later.

Mbolhi, who represented France at youth level, has been named in Algeria’s preliminary squad for next month’s World Cup in South Africa

This news follows comes only a day after Ben Foster revealed that he would welcome a loan move away from old Trafford in order to resuscitate his career. With Tomasz Kuszczak also thought to be unsettled over his lack of progress in the United pecking order, certain assurances will need to be made to placate the Polish keeper and this move might be an indication that Fergie sees Kuszczak as United’s future number 1.

By bringing in a relatively unknown goalkeeper as cover, instead of a big-name signing, he is ensuring that PIG’s boat will not be rocked.

Banyak scout Eropa yg rekomen ini GK, namun club2 liga elite eropa msh ragu n jg karna faktor ga terlalu butuh GK...

IMO..

Tapi ya sip lah..dengan status timnas berarti kemampuannya nggak maen2.cukup bagus untuk jadi kiper kedua MU setelah VDS.

McCullough signs for Manchester United
Portadown's up and coming star Luke McCullough is the latest local footballer to make the move from Northern Ireland to Manchester United.
Monday, 28 June 2010 - u.tv

McCullough, who has captained Northern Ireland at Under 16 and 17 levels, signed for the Red Devils at the beginning of the year on a two-year scholarship deal.

"It's any boy's dream to get any club across the water but to get United, it's an added bonus", said McCullough, who supported the other Reds, Liverpool, his whole life.

"I'll just have to forget about it (Liverpool) for now", he told UTV ahead of his move on Wednesday.

When asked about his objectives for the next two years, McCullough says: "Progress through the ranks and do as well as I can".

He follows in the footsteps of brothers Jonny and Corey Evans along with Craig Cathcart and Conor Devlin.

Last month, Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed Jonny Evans had signed a four-year contract with the club.

The Northern Ireland international has become firmly established as United's first-choice back-up to centre-halves Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic.

"Definitely someone to look up to", McCullough said of Evans.

"It's a great achievement for somebody from Northern Ireland to be a regular at Manchester United."

Man Utd reignite interest in Moyo
Manchester United have reignited their interest in Sochaux youngster Yven Moyo, according to the News of the World.

The 18-year-old crossed the United radar last year and Sir Alex Ferguson is believed to have renewed his interest in him.

Although Moyo has yet to make his Ligue 1 debut, he is touted to be an up-and-coming talent.

His father revealed United have initiated contact with him but maintains he wants his son to learn his trade at Sochaux before venturing abroad.
"A scout from Manchester United called me to say that the club was interested in Yven," said Jean-Eudes Moyo at the time.

"They've monitored him since last year.
"At his age, I prefer that he stays here and matures before going elsewhere."

United set to snap up Dutch starlet

Manchester United are set to sign exciting Ajax teenager Gyliano van Velzen.

talksport.co.uk

The winger, just 16, is on the verge of moving to United to begin training with the club's youth academy.

United have kept their eye on the talented Dutchman but were not ready to offer him terms - but their scouting team have moved quickly after hearing of interest in van Velzen elsewhere.

The lanky teen has grown up in the famed Ajax academy but United have moved ahead in the race to sign him, with van Velzen due in Manchester to join up with the club's youth set-up imminently.

United sign 16year-old Dutch starlet

Several weeks ago, rumours surfaced on internet boards that Manchester United were on the verge of signing Dutch winger Gyliano van Velzen. No official announcement was made, but reports in the Netherlands today revealed that the transfer has been completed.

The player then basically shared on twitter that he was with United and Manchester United have now confirmed that they have signed the player, although an announcement has yet to be made.

Van Velzen looks a giant at the tender age of 16 and is a left-footed, left-sided winger, which is a rare commodity these days. He is a product of the legendary Ajax academy and only turned 16 on the 14th of March.

I wish the lad well and hope to see him do well in the academy.

Surname: van Velzen
First name: Gyliano

Manchester United anger Ajax by attracting teenager Gyliano van Velzen
Daniel Taylor
guardian.co.uk, Sunday 22 August 2010 22.30 BST

Manchester United are facing the possibility of an official complaint from Ajax after persuading one of the brightest prospects in Dutch football to move to England.

Gyliano van Velzen, a Dutch under-16 international, has turned his back on Ajax's famed youth academy and agreed terms at Old Trafford in a deal that has incensed the Amsterdam club.

Van Velzen, a tall, left-sided midfielder, initially informed Ajax in March that he had received an offer to move to Manchester, but the teenager was dissuaded from going through with the move and decided to stay with the 'B1' under-17s' team.

The issue seemed to be resolved until Van Velzen returned to Ajax a few weeks ago and informed them that his parents had decided they wanted to move to England to start a new life. The family, it emerged, had been offered a house in the Manchester area and Van Velzen, affiliated to Ajax since the age of 13, arrived towards the end of last week.

Ajax, renowned for producing so many outstanding Dutch footballers, are said to be "surprised and disappointed." They have written to United's chief executive, David Gill, asking for compensation and, if they are not satisfied with the response, they will look at other options.

One report in Holland has claimed they will file a lawsuit via Fifa, although it is understood they would rather settle the matter without having to take legal action.

The dispute bears similarities to the Paul Pogba case last year when Le Havre complained to Fifa that the 17-year-old had been illegally poached from their academy only for the organisation to rule in United's favour. After eight months of wrangling over compensation, the two clubs finally reached an undisclosed settlement in June.

A spokesman for United said that Van Velzen had been signed in full accordance with Fifa regulations. Their argument is that the player had never signed professional terms and, as such, was on the market. United asked Ajax on a number of occasions to provide evidence of a contract without one being produced.

New Manchester United Signing Mats Moller Daehli Is A 'Little Bit Of Xavi And A Little Bit Of Messi' Says Coach
*'Outstanding' youngster has already been guaranteed professional contract when he turns 17
*Teenager trained five times with United before being offered a deal last week
*He has joined United for nominal fee and will link up with Academy on February 1 before finishing studies
*Stabaek coach describes him as "complete footballer" who is "best player I have ever seen at his age"
By Wayne Veysey Nov 9, 2010 9:06:00 AM | Goal

EXCLUSIVE

Manchester United have agreed terms to sign an "outstanding" 15-year-old Norwegian midfielder who is a combination of Lionel Messi and Xavi, a club official has told Goal.com UK.

Mats Moller Daehli told Norwegian Premier League club Stabaek on Monday that he will join United in the next few days for a nominal fee and link up with their academy on February 1.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s team were so keen to sign a player rated as one of the best in his age-group in Europe that, in a rare move, he has already been guaranteed a professional contract by the Premier League giants when he turns 17.

United beat off competition from Bayern Munich, Ajax and a number of Premier League clubs to capture Daehli, who had five trials in Manchester before he was offered a deal last week.

“He has not signed yet but he gave Manchester United the answer a couple of days ago and gave our club the news today,” Stabaek reserve and academy team head coach Morten Tveit told Goal.com UK on Monday night. “He goes into the Academy on 1 February. They wanted him as soon as possible but February was chosen because of his schooling. He will go back to Norway in May/June to finish his studies and return to United in July.

“He has in his contract that he will automatically get a professional contract when he is 17. That is unusual.”

Because Daehli has not yet turned professional, United will not pay a fee for the teenager but have agreed to pay Stabaek €10,000 (£8,626) a year for the entirety of the player’s career and may also contribute funds to the Norwegian club’s academy and that of his previous club, FC Lyn.

“We have done our best to keep him and give him the best project here. But it has been talked about for a long time and I’m not that surprised," Tveit added.

Teenage dream | Daehli is already guaranteed a professional contract when he turns 17

“We have done our best to keep him and give him the best project here. But it has been talked about for a long time and I’m not that surprised.

“We are just happy to send such a good player as Mats to the best club in England. Had it been Leeds [United] or Everton it would have been difficult. Man United is a professional, serious club. You have a lot of Norwegians there like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and we believe it is safe for him."

Tveit says he has no doubts that Daehli can be a major force, even at a club where competition for places is so intense.

“I think he is going to play for the first team and every coach at Man United thinks he will play for the first team,” said the experienced coach. “He is one of the best players in Europe in his age group. He is the best player I have ever seen at his age and I have seen a lot of international players at that age.

“He can play right side, left side, maybe off the main striker. He can be a little bit Messi, a little bit Xavi.

“He is outstanding and can be a complete football player. He has the mentality, the technique, his attitude is very good. He has everything. If he misses something, it is the physical side. He has to be stronger. But he is 15 and that will come.”

United have been tracking Daehli for two years and the teenager has trained with the club on five separate occasions over that period.

“A lot of other clubs have tried to get him,” explained Tveit. “Bayern Munich, Ajax and a number of Premier League clubs but he made up his mind a long time ago. You can’t go training with every club.”

Reserve team manager Solskjaer has been a key figure in enticing his countryman to Old Trafford, where he will link up with three other young Norwegians at the academy, Etzaz Hussain, Joshua King and Magnus Eikrem.

“I have seen the other Norwegian players over there and they will not make it at Man United, that is my opinion,” said Tveit. “Mats is different.”

He was part of a trio of Norwegian trialists that were at Old Trafford last November and he scored a goal in an internal match that the trialists team won 2-1. Mats did not return with the trialists in January as he was at a training camp with his u19 team but returned alone in April.

He has been in Manchester during the last month on trial and playing in private matches and has racked up a number of goals in his time.

EXCLUSIVE: New Manchester United Signing Mats Moller Daehli The Most Naturally Gifted Player To Emerge From Norway In A Generation - Top Scandinavian Scout
Tor-Kristian Karlsen says 15-year-old has world at his feet

By Wayne Veysey, goal.com - Nov 13, 2010 10:15:00 AM

New Manchester United signing Mats Moller Daehli is the most naturally gifted player to hail from Norway since Steffen Iversen, according to a leading European talent-spotter.
Daehli, 15, is finalising his switch to Old Trafford after agreeing terms on a deal which will see him link up with the club’s academy on February 1. As Goal.com UK revealed earlier this week, the midfielder is so highly rated by United that he has already been guaranteed a professional contract when he turns 17.

“In terms of overall potential, I’d say he’s probably the most naturally gifted player to emerge in Norway since Steffen Iversen, whose talent was regrettably hampered by injuries,” top Norwegian football analyst and consultant Tor-Kristian Karlsen told Goal.com UK.

“He’s certainly been outstanding at youth level and excelled both at national and international level. He’s been excellent even when playing against kids two or three years his senior.

“Above all his qualities, I’d say his ‘Mediterranean’ range of skills makes him special. He is a natural footballer. Everything he does on the pitch comes naturally to him, as if by instinct.

“This is very uncommon for Scandinavian footballers who are generally appreciated for their effort, physique and discipline. This kid is all about flair, skill, balance and a great natural footballing brain.”

Karlsen has personally scouted the teenager, who joined Premier League side Stabaek from FC Lyn six months ago.

“I have seen him play and filed reports on him, as I do with most other prospects from the Nordic countries,” explained the former Hannover, Bayer Leverkusen and Watford scout.

“But it dawned on me quite early that this kid was destined for Manchester United so I didn’t encourage any of the clubs I work with to spend too much time on this case. They’d only be wasting their time.

“Several European club tops were interested, more than those reported in the media [Bayern Munich, Ajax]. But as far as I understand, at a certain point the family decided to politely pay little attention to approaches from other suitors and focus on Manchester United.

“As far as I know he’s been a frequent visitor to the Manchester United Academy over the past year, so they would’ve known about him for quite a while.”

Karlsen is convinced that Daehli has the ability to make the leap from brilliant youth to United first-team regular.

“Without a doubt, there’s nothing stopping him in terms of God-given talent,” he explained. “But let’s not forget that we’re talking about a young boy, he might be looking at making his first team debut in three years’ time at the very earliest. A lot can obviously happen between now and then.

“Compared to other top 15-year-olds he’s of a relatively slight build. I’m not saying smallish players cannot make it all the way, there are plenty of examples of those who have, but there’s no denying that there’s currently a huge emphasis of physicality in the modern game.

“But when it comes to footballing brain, skill, range of passing, touch and movement he’s got all the fundamentals to become a top-class footballer.”

Norway was one of the most popular markets for Premier League clubs in the 1990s but the production line of the country that produced Iversen, Ole-Gunnar Solskjaer, Tore-Andre Flo, Ronnie Johnsen and Henning Berg has slowed down.

“Norway was an untapped market in the '90s, you could pick up a ready-made top league player for a pittance,” said Karlsen. “But as the clubs priced themselves out of the market, the Premier League clubs progressively got richer and started shopping in more high quality markets such as France, the Netherlands and continental Europe in general. Scandinavia became forgotten.

“Added to that, I don’t think Scandinavian clubs have been working well enough at youth level or even developed their top leagues enough to provide a platform fit to develop top players. Maybe the export riches and relative success in the '90s made them complacent.”

Leeds deny Red Devils bid
Old Trafford outfit have not moved for Whites starlet
Last updated: 23rd November 2010

Championship side Leeds United have denied Premier League giants Manchester United have bid for rising star Elliott Kebbie.

Reports had hinted Sir Alex Ferguson's troops had targeted the young midfielder and were closing in on his coveted signature.

However, The Whites have stated that United have not been in for the pacey 16-year-old while also commenting that any approach would not be welcomed.

"Leeds can confirm that no bid has been received from Manchester United for Elliott Kebbie, despite reports in the national media, and nor would one be welcomed," read a statement on the club's official website.

The Halifax-born starlet signed scholarship forms with the club last year and will join Leeds' Academy on a scholarship basis in July 2011.

Meanwhile, teenager Lewis Coyle has accepted the club's two-year scholarship offer while Christopher Dawson and Tyler Denton have also signed scholarship forms.

Charni Ekangamene has said there is a Brazilian lad moving into his digs next week, and rumours on Twitter suggest it is this Andrigo Araujo (15 year old, FW - Internacional Porto Alegre)

Could be we have signed him, or it could be that he is coming over for a trial and staying in digs while he does so.

* Tapi kemudian rumor berubah....

Seems it is not Andrigo coming next week - it is a different kid; Aguillar from Deportivo Brasil - whom I think we have some form of co-op agreement with.

Andrigo was asked if it was him going to United next week - he said no, it was his friend Aguilar.

Skysports.com understands that Manchester United and Liverpool will bid for Southampton starlet Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the next 48 hours.

The 17-year-old Portsmouth-born midfielder is regarded as one of the country's brightest talents having won rave reviews from his 14 starts for the League One outfit.

Oxlade-Chamberlain opened the scoring in Tuesday night's 6-0 thumping of Oldham and he picked the perfect game to shine with United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and Liverpooldirector of football strategy Damien Comolli watching in the stands.

Ferguson was believed to be at Boundary Park to assess the progress of on-loan keeper Ben Amos, although he was also able to kill two birds with one stone by seeing Oxlade-Chamberlain at first hand.

The two Premier League giants are not the only top-flight clubs keen on securing the starlet's signature, which is expected to cost in the £10million region.

Liverpool see the teenager, dubbed the new 'Theo Walcott', as the perfect support striker for Fernando Torres and they are already building for the future having snapped up exciting talent Raheem Sterling from QPR last year.

Nike Cup Unearths Another Brazilian Gem For United

Manchester United are set to pursue an interest in the latest teenage wonderkid to come out of Brazil.

During the Nike Cup which is organised and held by Manchester United, the talk of the spectators was of a fantastic forward from Brazil called Andrigo.

Oliveira de Araujo Andrigo to give him his full name is a 15 year old who is currently playing for Internacional, but has already taken part in a trial for Spanish giants Barcelona.

He has allegedly been invited back to the Camp Nou when he hits the youth signing age in Spain.

United plan to hijack this move, and offer the youngster a chance to link up with fellow Brazilians Anderson and the Da Silva twins, who were also signed following the Nike Cup.

Internacional are allegedly in the process of trying to tie the boy wonder down to a long term contract so as to ensure a massive fee when the player does inevitably move to Europe.

Town Youth goalkeeper Rob Peet handed trial at Manchester United

http://i.thisis.co.uk/275583/article/images/3182624/1955423-vlarge.jpg
TRIAL: Town Youth team keeper Rob Peet.

GRIMSBY Town Youth goalkeeper Rob Peet has been handed a trial at Premier League leaders Manchester United.

The 18-year-old will travel to the Red Devils' Carrington training base next week after being invited by United for a five-day trial, subject to an agreement between the two clubs.

It comes after a stunning display for Robbie Stockdale's young Mariners in their narrow extra-time defeat at Newcastle United in last week's FA Youth Cup fourth round tie.

Scouts from Old Trafford were at the game watching their prospective fifth round opponents and were obviously impressed with what they saw from the Melton Mowbray teenager.

Now he has the possibility of training with the likes of international keepers Edwin Van der Sar, Tomasz Kuszczak and Anders Lindegaard at Old Trafford under the tutelage of United goalkeeping coaches Eric Steele and ex-Town stopper Alan Fettis.

And Mariners goalkeeping coach Steve Croudson is delighted for his young protégé.

Croudson said: "I'm absolutely made-up for Rob.

"You work with someone like him every day and when news comes through like this, it's fantastic.

"It's a great opportunity for him to go there and enjoy it first and foremost.

"How many people can say they've been to train at Man United; I can't and not many people can.

"He will go there and train with some great players and work with the goalkeepers there for a week.

"Edwin Van der Sar is the best goalkeeper around in my opinion so for him to work with Rob is absolutely brilliant – I'm jealous of him if I'm honest."

Peet joined Town ahead of the 2009/10 campaign and has progressed to the point of being named in the first-team squad on the bench for the Blue Square Bet Premier clash with Histon at Blundell Park earlier this season.

He is a regular for the Youth and Reserve teams and was outstanding in Town's 2-1 extra-time defeat at St James' Park a week ago.

It's form that has earned him the chance to impress the Red Devils coaches, following in the footsteps of former Town Youth players Jack Barlow and Matthew Bird in recent years.

Croudson just hopes the young stopper will do himself justice and not be overawed by the week with United.

The 31-year-old ex-Town keeper added: "He is a second year YT.

"I've said to him all along he has to keep working hard at his game and progressing because he has done really well so far. I went to watch him last week at Newcastle and thought he did really well."

So gak perlu merasa aneh kalau United terus menumpuk posisi kiper d tim reserve atau akademi.

Akademi Carrington memang jarang menelurkan kiper berbakat di tingkat tim utama.Kiper produk Carrington terakhir yg mjd kiper no 2 United adl ,CMIIW,Gary Walsh bukan ?

Sondre Rossbach (15) are traveling to Manchester to have a trial with United.
This is the 3rd time he's over in manchester training with United. He is the son of former Norwegian Nationalteam goalkeeper Einar Rossbach.
The last time he was over in Manchester, he was supposed to play a trainingmatch, but United didn't want to play him, because they wouldn't like other scouts and people to see how good he realy is...

I read an story about him a couple of years ago, and he did than play as a keeper for the U16 and as an outfield player for the U14!

He have also been trained by 20LEGEND at his footballschool that he had for the best norwegian talent every summer. This is the same footballschool that Eikrem, King, Hussain, Møller Dæhli amoung others have attended. He played for his seniorteam aged 14(4th division).

He is a United supporter, allways a good start!

He can't join us until he turns 16 next year.

United win race for teenage starlet
Manchester United, 14:44, February 15, 2011 , | No Comments

Anderlecht are waiting to negotiate a training fee with Man Utd for Adnan Januzaj after admitting defeat in the race for his signature.

The Belgian champions have revealed that they have been talking to the 16-year-old's 'entourage' for three months in bid to persuade them that the midfielder's best interests are served by staying in Brussels.
"The entourage of the player has decided to take the British club's offer", said Anderlecht sporting director Herman Van Holsbeeck who will negotiate the compensation due to his club.

"We now await news from Manchester," Van Holsbeeck told Het Belang van Limburg.
"For months now, we have been in meetings with the father of Januzaj to keep the player at Anderlecht, but at some point you cannot go any further."

Reports claim United have offered to pay the teenager a monthly salary of 10,000 euros and, although Anderlecht can claim a small training fee, they were powerless to prevent him from leaving because he had no contract.
"As a 16-year-old, it is the parents who decide," said Van Holsbeek. "We are obviously disappointed that he leaves, but the future will tell if the entourage of the player has taken the right decision."

Swedish sources say United have been following the 19 year-old midfielder for the past two years and are now accelerating their interest.

United are being kicked into action by Juventus and AC Milan, which have both made tentative enquiries after the midfield dynamo.

Barkroth has been likened to Napoli star Marek Hamsik and boasts the record of being the youngest player to appear in Sweden's top-flight.

Man Utd offer trials to Royal Antwerp winger David Iboma

Manchester United have offered trials to Royal Antwerp youngster David Iboma.

The two clubs have a long-standing partnership arrangement.

Iboma, a right-footed winger, is just 16 but has impressed United enough for him to be offered the chance to move to Old Trafford for a trial period at the club.

He had caught the interest of a number of clubs but Antwerp are obliged to let United know of developments thanks to their relationship.

United, Milan, Bayern & Chelsea All Scrambling For The “New Ibrahimovic”

Europe’s top clubs always have their ear to the ground in pursuit of unearthing the latest gem, and the latest youngster to have caught the eye is a 13 year-old Swedish striker, of Somali and Italian-Greek parentage.

His name is Jamaal Raage and, despite his tender age, the player has dazzled while coming up through the ranks of his local team, Brommapojkarna, a small club in the Stockholm area. Dubbed “the new Zlatan Ibrahimovic”, Raage can play as a lone front man or in a supporting role, and is being heralded as the future of Swedish football.

No pressure.

Indeed, much is expected of the Swedish sensation, who has already been on trial with United and been invited back for a second stint. His raw qualities are said to be electric pace and a fierce shot, attributes that many big clubs will surely fancy getting their hands on.

He came, he saw and he scored five goals.

Now he tells Sanktan.se about the adventure of a large club.
- I want to turn pro and get as far as I can. That's all I want, "says Jamaal Raag to Sanktan.se.

At the end of 2010 went Jamaal Raage to train with Manchester United, a dream for all young footballers. Together with Bromley boys' sporting director Tommy Soderstrom was the thirteen-year-old Jamaal familiarize themselves with the club for a few intense days.
The journey would be by he knew about long before the playoffs and the finals of Sanktan last fall. Jamaal says he still managed to focus, even though he was nervous, and could be a key contributor to the BP won P96-finals Sanktan.
- I was very happy at first, but then it was just to wait and play with BP as usual, " said Jamaal to Sanktan, see,

Is what happened to this time - but Jamaal was the only player from the North.

What did you do?
- We met with Van der Saar and Rafael. Why did Raphael's autograph and we said hello and talked. It was a normal conversation but not for long, just two minutes, " said Jamaal.

Five goals

Large club seemed happy with what Jamaal shown up, not after he got good news.
- They told me to keep playing as I play, and when I get older, I can hopefully come back and train longer with them.

Seems it is not Andrigo coming next week - it is a different kid; Aguillar from Deportivo Brasil - whom I think we have some form of co-op agreement with.

Andrigo was asked if it was him going to United next week - he said no, it was his friend Aguilar.

(cmiiw)

Talento de Caceres in football goes to Manchester England

One of the most recent promises of Brazilian football is a native of Caceres, a city in western Mato Grosso. It is the attacker Aguilar Aparecido de Oliveira, 15, better known as Aguilar. The boy holds the Brazilian national team under 17, which is concentrated in Granja Comary in Teresopolis (RJ), acting as a center forward. He will compete in the American South in Ecuador. So young, so young and is no longer a local product: their economic rights belong to the Manchester United of England.

--- cut ---

In 2010, wearing the shirt of the Desportivo Brazil, Aguilar was one of the top scorers of the Under-15 Championship, scoring 15 goals. In the same year, the athlete participated in the runner-red sky in the Gold Cup Tupi, won by the Saints. Cacerense striker is the first player to be named Desportivo Brazil for a check - which earned him prominence on the website that the club maintains the Internet.

Manchester United look to have won the race to sign teenage sensation Adnan Januzaj from Anderlecht.

The two clubs have reportedly agreed a deal of around £297,000 for the 16-year-old after he impressed scouts from United.

Although the transfer hasn't been confirmed yet, we've managed to source some archive footage of the starlet showing why he has been so keenly tracked by Sir Alex Ferguson.

Manchester United & Barcelona keen on Besiktas youngster Muhammed Demirci - report
9 Mar 2011 20:24:00

Manchester United and Barcelona are set to go head to head in the race to sign 16-year-old Besiktas prospect Muhammed Demirci, according to talkSPORT.

The youngster is rated as one of Europe’s top prospects, with reports likening him to Barca star Lionel Messi, despite only making his senior debut this month.

The talented youngster has a deal with the Turkish side until 2013, but could be set for a summer move with reports suggesting that Barcelona had already offered him a deal to join them, and Sir Alex Ferguson interested in bringing him to Old Trafford.

It has been reported that Demirci would favour a move to England, and if United were to follow up on their interest in the Turkish Under-16 star then it would be a clear signal that they are set to continue their move to bring up and coming prospects to the club.

Chris Smalling and Javier Hernandez both signed for the Premier League leaders last summer, and Anderlecht prospect Adnan Januzaj is reportedly on the verge of joining the club as they look to inject some youth into their squad.

Sekarang Rhain Davis masih usia 12 - 13 tahun (2011)

Rhain Davis still on the ball for Manchester United
David Murray
The Courier-Mail
May 12, 2008 12:00AM

BRISBANE'S soccer whiz kid Rhain Davis has finished his first season with Manchester United - and there's no sign the club has any plans to let him go.

Rhain, 10, made international headlines when the world's most famous club saw his talents on a DVD and signed him up to its elite youth academy last July.

His family packed up their home in bayside Brisbane and moved 17,000km to give him a shot at stardom.

All indications are that Rhain continues to make a good impression at the club, with the family under strict instructions to keep quiet about his progress.

"We don't want to put any more pressure on him. He's still just a kid," dad Mark said.

A club source said the end of the season was the time young players found out if they were staying on at the academy.

"Sometimes a player who is good at 11 or 12 doesn't develop any further and isn't good when he is 13," he said.

Rhain's grandfather sent Manchester United the now-famous DVD of his grandson weaving through opponents with ease. Copies posted on internet site YouTube have been viewed 6.5 million times and sparked a string of copy cats from all over the world.

Comparisons were made between Rhain and child prodigies Wayne Rooney and Ronaldo.

Living in a rural area on the outskirts of Manchester, Rhain has been getting a taste of what it would be like to be a star.

His modest house is in one of Manchester's most sought after areas and senior players Rooney and Wes Brown, as well as manager Sir Alex Ferguson, are only a short drive away.

In contrast to the public fields he used in suburban Brisbane, Rhain now shares Manchester United's Carrington training grounds with the club's stars.

However, United is not talking about Rhain's prospects of joining it. "Our policy is that we don't discuss junior players," a spokeswoman said.

One reason for the secrecy is that many of the young hopefuls will not last, with about 30 boys Rhain's age all being assessed and tested during weekday training sessions and weekend games.

"We don't tend to hear too much about the young lads until they start breaking through," Manchester sports reporter Stuart Mathieson said.

Info terakhir menurut twitter ManUtd Portugal...

The lad in the white is Gladstony, the man to his left is a coach called Osmar Loss, and the four young players wearing ties from left to right are Aguilar de Oliveira, Lucas Evangelista, Agnaldo and Rafael Leão.

Apparently we signed Aguilar de Oliveira from Desportivo in December of last year. The other young players are still with Desportivo. Aguillar will join United when he is 18. (info bisa dicari di thread New Talent at United)

Manchester United swoop for Chile starlet

Manchester United are ready to sign teenage Chilean striker Angelo Henriquez in a £3million swoop.

Boss Sir Alex Ferguson has teed up the deal for the 16-year-old South American sensation, who will sign shortly for the Red Devils – pipping rivals from around the globe.

The youngster has already been to United for training, but now an agency – working for the club – has agreed terms.

United are using the same Brazilian firm who brought Rafael and Fabio da Silva to the club. The youngster, who plays for Universidad de Chile, is starring in the South American Under-17 Championship.

Henriquez has been notching goals with head and feet for Chile in the torunament in Peru, as he shows he may be one of the continent’s best emerging talents.

Ferguson and his staff are working overtime to improve their youngsters after a spell when the assembly line dried up.

United's American owners are also keen to sign young players, rather than pay large fees for established stars.

Manchester United on trail of Brazilian youngster

Manchester United are continuing to monitor Brazilian midfielder Rafael Leao after the teenager spent time training at the club.

United signed an agreement with football rights agency Traffic in 2008 and the organisation, with offices in South America and Europe, in turn set up a football club to help develop young talent across the world.

The club, Desportivo Brasil, competes in youth tournaments and Leao, 17, is part of the team. The defensive midfielder has caught the eye while playing for Desportivo and was invited to England by United so the club's coaches could take a further look at him.

Leao was in Manchester last week and has trained at the club as part of United's partnership with Traffic.

The buys from Brazil: The new recruits from Manchester United's South American talent factory

By Ashley Gray
Last updated at 11:04 PM on 23rd March 2011

While eyes were fixed on the Old Trafford directors’ box last Saturday to see if Fabio Capello would finally get up close and personal with Rio Ferdinand over the England captaincy issue, many would have missed the five Brazilian boys sitting six rows behind the Italian.

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2011/03/23/article-0-0B4EB4CD00000578-949_634x236.jpg

Long after Capello’s discarded skipper ends his career at United, the club hope their tie-up with Sao Paulo academy Desportivo Brasil will provide them with a steady stream of talent.

The process is part of a painstaking two-and-a-half-year project by the Barclays Premier League leaders to develop their own talent in South America rather than splash out huge fees on the next generation of stars.

Confidentiality agreements prevent Desportivo Brasil from revealing which of their 100-plus teenagers have a pre-contract agreement with United, but Sportsmail has learned that the five players pictured at Old Trafford are called Gladstony, Aguilar, Lucas Evangelista, Agnaldo and Rafael Leao.

The five are now visiting Dutch champions Twente, who United plan to use as a holding club for the boys to gain European Union passports.

Midfielders Gladstony and Rafael Leao will be 18 later this year — the age at which they can legally sign for a club outside Brazil — but tight immigration laws in England mean they are unlikely to be granted work permits as, unlike United defenders Rafael or Fabio da Silva, they have not even represented their country at youth level.

This is where Twente come in. Holland will happily let the boys play there, where they can stay until they qualify for an EU passport or get enough international experience for a UK work permit.

Desportivo Brasil is owned by sprawling South American football company Traffic, whose president of international business Jochen Losch told Sportsmail: ‘Twente are a partner, helping United to resolve the problem of their EU passports. For two reasons it’s good that a player goes first to Holland. First, after two or three years he’s considered to be European. And of course it’s easier to play in the Dutch league than the Premier League.’

The players all live inside a multimillion-pound training centre in Porto Feliz, a 90-minute drive from bustling Sao Paulo where they enjoy better training facilities than at most major Brazilian clubs.

But Desportivo Brasil do not dream of winning the league title or the Copa Libertadores; their raison d’etre is to have the best youth teams in South America and sell on their talent.

The designated United players are given extra English lessons, sessions with a psychologist about being away from home and visits to the Carrington training complex they may one day call home.

If United go through with a signing, they pay a set fee, based on a player’s position rather than ability.

The Brazilian academy, set up by Traffic, then retain a hefty 50 per cent sell-on clause.

Losch said: ‘Manchester United look for young players in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. If they find a good one they come to us. We’ll get the player, register him with Desportivo Brasil, and we have a contract with United that they have an option to buy this player at 18 for a fixed amount.

‘If the guy turns out to be an Alexandre Pato (the striker who left Internacional for AC Milan for nearly £20million on his 18th birthday) United can still have him for a huge discount because of course we’ll honour the contract. If they don’t like the player, we keep him.’

The partnership was struck after United’s pursuit of the Da Silva twins. They were first spotted as 15-year-olds but could not be formally taken out of Brazil until their 18th birthday, meaning they risked being neglected in the Fluminense youth team and they never made a senior appearance in Brazil.

One of the brightest hopes on Desportivo Brasil’s books is striker Aguilar, who was 16 a fortnight ago but was called up by Brazil’s Under 17 squad for training in January.

Aguilar was signed by Belo Horizonte side Cruzeiro in 2009. However, because contracts are not valid before a player’s 16th birthday, Desportivo Brasil were able to take him to Porto Feliz a year ago, prompting an angry reaction from Cruzeiro president Zeze Perrella.

Aguilar’s former coach Joao Paulo Tardim said: ‘There is no doubt about his quality. Saying he will become a great player is an exercise in predicting the future, but the chances of it happening are very high.’

English scouts will no doubt be at the Emirates on Sunday to see Brazil, with exciting Santos striker Neymar and Sao Paulo playmaker Lucas, take on Scotland.

But the pair have recently signed contracts setting their value at £39m and £66m respectively.

If United’s project comes off, it will have been a long game worth playing.

Wih... 3 DM, 1 AM dan 1 striker... Mantaps. Tapi semua baru bisa gabung pas usia 18 tahun kan? Itupun klo jadi gabung.

Dia emang punya 2 kewarganegaraan bro... sebelumnya dia emang memperkuat England (U17 ama U18).. tapi ketika U19 dia memutuskan berganti membela Finland...

Internationally Jenkinson previously represented England, his country of birth, but later switched to Finland who he is eligible to represent due to his Finnish mother.[3] He made his competitive international debut in the 2011 UEFA U19 Championship qualification.

20.08.08: Carl Jenkinson memperkuat U-17 England.
06/2009: Carl Jenkinson memperkuat U-18 England.
2010: Carl Jenkinson memperkuat U-19 Finnland.

Man Utd agree fee with Anderlecht for Adnan Januzaj
24.03.11 | tribalfootball.com

Manchester United are finalising a deal for Anderlecht youngster Adnan Januzaj.

After some months of haggling, Anderlecht have accepted United's €575,000 offer for the teenage attacker. The Belgians had been seeking €700,000, while United's previous offer was €350,000.

Januzaj agreed terms with United last month over a long-term deal rising to €140,000-a-year.

The winger has been likened to United icon David Beckham and is expected to formally join the English giants in June.

Brazilian stars link up with FC Twente ahead of possible switch to Manchester United
By Ashley Gray
Last updated at 12:24 PM on 25th March 2011

Manchester United’s attempts to develop their own Brazilian talent has taken a step forward with the help of Dutch champions FC Twente.

Sportsmail revealed that five teenagers seen at Old Trafford on Saturday had options in their contracts to join the Barclays Premier League leaders once they turn 18.

Three of the boys from the Desportivo Brasil youth team played in a friendly for Twente against AGOVV/Apeldoorn on Thursday, with a view to joining the club as a stepping stone to England.

Highly rated 16-year-old striker Aguilar, who was recently called up by Brazil’s Under 17 squad, played alongside midfielders Lucas Evangelista and Agnaldo as Twente won the match 5-1.

Twente boss Michel Preud’homme, the former Belgium goalkeeper, was among those taking a keen interest in the training-ground match.

Two other boys, Rafael Leao and Gladstony, were also visiting Holland this week and could join the club for next season as they are the first to turn 18 this year.

If United take up their options on the Brazilians who have come through at Desportivo Brasil over a two-and-a-half-year link-up, they will first join Twente on loan because securing a UK permit is unlikely.

The Enschede club would have to agree to the moves and chairman Joop Munsterman said: ‘Our technical staff will determine whether a player is good enough to come to Twente and also whether he plays or not. Manchester United will not interfere.’

Aku kok bingung ya.. Mereka klo jadi gabung United pas umur berapa ya? Bukannya pemaen luar eropa baru bisa ditransfer umur 18 tahun. Berarti umur 18 tahun mereka pindah ke twente buat dapet paspor. Trus asumsi butuh 2 tahun berarti mereka baru gabung United umur 20 tahun dong saat dah dapet ijin kerja atau paspor eropa. Bener gitu ya?

United agree first option on Chilean striker Henriquez as youngster trains in Manchester
Last updated at 1:25 AM on 31st March 2011

Manchester United have agreed a first option on Chilean striker Angelo Henriquez, 16.

The Universidad de Chile striker has impressed in the South American Under 17 Championship in Ecuador, and has trained in Manchester.

'Of course it is amazing that a team like Manchester United have taken an interest in me. They are a huge team at a world level and playing for them would be a dream come true,' Henriquez admitted to Triunfo.

'I know that if I want to be a footballer, I have to be very professional and not get caught up in the parties or the gossip columns, besides I don't like that sort of thing.

'For now I am only thinking about my club, making my debut and performing; because Manchester United have told me that I have to start getting experience to make the move to England.'

YOUNG BRAZILIAN JOINS UNITED ON LOAN

http://thebusbyway.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/player_06111520104512-237x300.jpg

As the season enters it’s final stages Manchester United have utilised our partnership with Desportivo Brasil to sign young Brazilian Rafael Leao on loan having impressed coaches after training with the club earlier this month.
The 17 year old defensive midfielder who turns 18 next week will remain at the club until June 30th and will be the first of the 5 players (which also included Gladstony, Aguilar, Lucas Evangelista and Agnaldo) that came to watch our game with Bolton earlier this month to pull on United colours.

Whilst the midfielder, who has been compared with World Cup winning captain Dunga, has been signed, he has not been given a squad number and will instead play for the u18s and reserves.

United have been building up it’s Brazilian base with signings like Anderson and the Da Silva twins and the partnership with Traffic and Desportivo Brasil should further this.
