Soo... Mungkin ada pilihan lain lah nanti.

Masalahnya klo Martial jadi striker nah yg tukang servis dia siapa? IMHO...

Match preview: Shrewsbury Town v United

Scene-setter: Manchester United are clear favourites to win this first-ever match against Shrewsbury Town, yet victory against the relegation-threatened League One side is far from guaranteed with the Reds low on confidence after consecutive away defeats to Sunderland and FC Midtjylland.

Form guide: Louis van Gaal’s men have registered five wins, two draws and three defeats from 10 matches in 2016, a run of results that includes two FA Cup victories over Sheffield United and Derby County. Meanwhile, Shrewsbury are currently 19th in League One and sit just three points above the drop zone, yet they head into this game on the back of a morale-boosting 3-2 win at rivals Blackpool. They beat Cardiff City and Sheffield Wednesday in the third and fourth rounds of the cup.

Latest team news: David De Gea suffered an injury during the warm-up in Midtjylland and the goalkeeper could miss Monday’s match as a result, with Sergio Romero set to deputise again. Sam Johnstone, Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones, Luke Shaw, Antonio Valencia, Guillermo Varela, Ashley Young, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Marouane Fellaini, Adnan Januzaj and Wayne Rooney are also recovering from injuries. Donald Love, who made his senior debut in the Europa League on Thursday, is cup-tied due to his previous involvement in the competition with loan club Wigan Athletic against Bury. Shrewsbury's on-loan midfielder James Wallace has been forced out of action with a knee injury.

View from the dressing room: “It was a performance that wasn’t acceptable. We need to start rewarding these fans who travel this far and give us great support throughout the whole game. I think we all know that it wasn’t good enough.” - Chris Smalling, after losing at Midtjylland.

View from the opposition: “It's great for the fans. To get that last-minute winner [against Sheffield Wednesday], then sit around the telly on Sunday night and see us pull Man United, it doesn't get any better than that for any fan. You have people stopping you to shake your hand. It's great for the fans. It's a chance to enjoy it, to go and milk every moment.” - Shrewsbury manager Micky Mellon.

Opposition manager: Mellon is a former Scottish professional who spent his playing career with 10 different clubs, but made the most appearances with Blackpool, Burnley and Tranmere Rovers. His managerial career began at Fleetwood Town in 2008 for four seasons, followed by a caretaker spell at Barnsley ahead of his current reign at Shrewsbury.

Sub-plots: The draw for the FA Cup sixth round takes place at 18:15 GMT on Sunday evening, some 24 hours ahead of United facing the Shrews at Greenhous Meadow. The Reds will be ball no.4.

Rivals watch: FA Cup holders Arsenal host Hull City on Saturday; Tottenham Hotspur host Crystal Palace and Manchester City travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on Sunday.

Referee: Robert Madley will take charge of Monday's match under the floodlights. The Yorkshireman has refereed just one United match this season, the 2-1 win at Watford on 21 November.

Manchester United's FA Cup 5th-round facts

Blank line-up
The poignant match against Sheffield Wednesday in 1958 at Old Trafford, the first game after the Munich tragedy, was a night that will never be forgotten. The programme contained no names in the United side, only blank spaces, as it was unclear just which XI the Reds would be able to field. Wednesday were the opponents three times at the fifth-round hurdle between 1958 and 1961.

Away days
United reached the fifth round 14 times between 1970 and 1994 - and were drawn away on 13 of those occasions, with a home tie against Middlesbrough in 1972 being the exception. Even then, the replay ensured a journey to Ayresome Park, the Teessiders' former stadium.

Simply the Best
George Best became the second player to score six goals in a single United game (the first was Harold Halse in the 1911 Charity Shield) when Northampton Town were hammered 8-2 at The County Ground in 1970. It is not the Reds' biggest win at this stage of the competition, however, as Yeovil Town were thrashed 8-0 in 1949 with Jack Rowley netting five times. United were then playing home games at Maine Road, Manchester City's old abode, while Old Trafford was being rebuilt after World War II bomb damage.

Double figures
George Best and Denis Law both have 10 goals to their name for the club in FA Cup fifth-round ties. Jack Rowley has six with Brian McClair and Charlie Mitten both on five

For and against
Jimmy Greenhoff scored for and against United in the fifth round of the FA Cup; as an opponent, he opened the scoring for Birmingham City in their 6-2 replay defeat at Old Trafford in 1969.

It takes two to tussle
Several fiery confrontations between opposing personnel have taken place in the FA Cup fifth round. Brian McClair and Nigel Winterburn famously fell out at the end of United's 2-1 defeat to Arsenal at Highbury in 1988, Alex Ferguson and his opposite number had a spat on the sidelines in the 1990 game at Newcastle United while Gary Neville was sent off for a headbutt on Manchester City's Steve McManaman in 2004.

Quick out of the blocks
In 1995, the Reds went 2-0 up against Leeds United within five minutes, through Steve Bruce and Brian McClair, en route to a 3-1 triumph. In the replay at Reading in 2007, Sir Alex's men were 3-0 ahead with only six minutes on the clock thanks to Gabriel Heinze, Louis Saha and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The match finished 3-2.

Spot of bother
There have been a number of penalty issues at this stage of the competition for United. Brian McClair's late miss in the aforementioned 1988 tie at Arsenal cost the Reds a replay, while there was a controversial spot-kick awarded by referee Alan Wilkie against Manchester City's Michael Frontzeck for holding Eric Cantona inside the box in 1996; the Frenchman expertly converted it of course. In the dying embers of the game at Sheffield United on Valentine's Day in 1993, Steve Bruce failed from 12 yards when hitting a post but it should have been retaken due to encroachment.

Rooney return
Wayne Rooney's first game back at Goodison Park following his move to Old Trafford came in a fifth-round FA Cup clash in 2005. Before the game, the 19-year-old said: "It's mostly people who don't understand the game who give you stick. I'm a Manchester United player and, if the Everton fans want to dislike me, that's up to them." Rooney helped the Reds win 2-0 in a hostile environment with Quinton Fortune and Cristiano Ronaldo netting against David Moyes's men.

Huddersfield home
United once staged a home game at Huddersfield Town's old ground, Leeds Road, and it came as part of the successful 1948 FA Cup run. John Warner and Charlie Mitten scored in a 2-0 triumph over Charlton Athletic. A crowd of 33,312 witnessed the clash which could not be held in Manchester due to Old Trafford being unusable for the war wounds mentioned above and the usual landlords City also being drawn at home. The Reds did play another FA Cup tie at Leeds Road, against Sunderland in 1964, but on that occasion it was a neutral venue for a second replay in the sixth round.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal admits an FA Cup shock at the hands of Shrewsbury could see the axe fall

* Manchester United face Shrewsbury Town in the fifth round of the FA Cup
* Louis van Gaal's side beaten by Premier League relegation candidates Sunderland and then Danish minnows Midtjylland in the Europa League
* Jose Mourinho continues to be linked as a possible replacement

Louis van Gaal admits Manchester United must beat Shrewsbury on Monday night as he fights to save his job, warning his players that they ‘cannot continue losing’.

A third defeat in a row when Van Gaal’s side visit the League One strugglers in the FA Cup would put United chief Ed Woodward under huge pressure to make a change amid a growing crisis at Old Trafford.

Woodward has shown remarkable loyalty and patience towards the Dutchman, mindful that he does not want to dismiss another manager in mid-season.

Monday - Shrewsbury away (FA Cup 5th Rd)

Feb 25 - Midtjylland home (Europa League)

Feb 28 - Arsenal home (Premier League)

Mar 2 - Watford home (Premier League)

Mar 6 - West Brom away (Premier League)

Mar 12 - Crystal Palace home (PL)

Mar 20 - Manchester City away (PL)

But after seeing United beaten by Premier League relegation candidates Sunderland and then Danish minnows Midtjylland in the Europa League, defeat by Shrewsbury would test even Woodward’s resolve.

Van Gaal acknowledged as much as he challenged his players to save their season — and his job.

He said: ‘You cannot continue with losing games. You have to see every match as a match you have to win. On Monday we have to win. If we win, we are in the next round and we are capable of winning the FA Cup.

‘The question is how we lift ourselves for this game because Shrewsbury will fight for the second balls and play direct and those kind of things, and you have to cope.’

Monday’s fifth-round tie kicks off a crucial week for Van Gaal that could effectively see United’s season brought to a premature end. On Thursday, they face Midtjylland again at Old Trafford looking to overcome a 2-1 deficit from the first leg in Denmark.

And on Sunday, Van Gaal’s side will try to make up ground on the top four when they play at home to Arsenal.

Manchester United executive vice chairman Ed Woodward will have the final say on Van Gaal’s fate

United are six points behind fourth-placed Manchester City and have little margin for error with 12 league games remaining.

It is significant that Woodward sacked David Moyes in April 2014 as soon as it became impossible for Van Gaal’s predecessor to qualify for the Champions League.

A close friend of Jose Mourinho, Inter Milan director Bedy Moratti, has revealed that the former Chelsea manager told her he is joining United this summer.

http://s10.postimg.org/wv4hnernt/316_E7_AD900000578_3457396_image_a_18_145609083145 .jpg (http://postimage.org/)

Ryan Giggs would be the man most likely to be asked to take over on a temporary basis if Van Gaal is sacked before the end of the season.

However, Giggs is unsure about a second stint as caretaker if there is no prospect of landing the job on a permanent basis, and is also reluctant to work as a No 2 again.

Van Gaal accepts that other teams no longer fear United like they used to, adding: ‘When you see the last two games it is maybe like that — but then we have to make them fear again.’

Love ternyata nggak bisa main. Jadi McNair (yg disebut Van Gaal punya potensi jadi RB bagus) atau ada nama baru yang muncul? Regan Poole mungkin.

Kayaknya sih McNair kanan, ditemani Blind-Smalling, CBJ.
Tapi kalau CBJ masih belum fit mungkin Regan Poole duet sama Smalling & Blind di kiri. Atau alternatif lain Schneiderlin ditarik kebelakang menemani Smalling, ya kayak Carrick, Hargo & Fletch dulu pas jaman Fergie :D

Emirates FA Cup fifth round | 22 February 2016 | Greenhous Meadow | Attendance: 9,370 | Scorers: Smalling (37'), Mata (45+2'), Lingard (61’)

Manchester United set up an Emirates FA Cup quarter-final meeting with West Ham after comfortably seeing off Shrewsbury Town 3-0 on Monday night.

The Reds dominated the game and took a deserved lead on 37 minutes when captain-for-the-night Chris Smalling fired home, before Juan Mata doubled the advantage with a superb free-kick on the stroke of half-time. Jesse Lingard grabbed a third with just under half an hour remaining to cap a clinical performance.

Ahead of the clash, Louis van Gaal made three changes to the side that lost at Midtjylland on Thursday, with Guillermo Varela, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Morgan Schneiderlin all coming in to the starting line-up.

The players walked out to a huge ovation at a packed Greenhous Meadow, but United were quick to settle into the contest, and in turn settle any pre-match nerves. The first opportunity of the game fell to Smalling with just two minutes on the clock, as the defender rose unmarked in the area but could only head Daley Blind’s corner over the bar.

Having found the net in the Europa League last time out, Memphis looked eager to make his mark again in the opening stages, and twice cut in from the left before firing high into the stands. It was almost third time lucky for the Dutchman on 11 minutes, but after twisting and turning to find space in the box, his low effort was palmed away well by Shrews goalkeeper Jayson Leutwiler.

With van Gaal’s men in total control of possession, Mata went in search of an opener mid-way through the half after picking up the ball on the right, but the Spaniard’s shot deflected wide. The Reds came even closer just before the half-hour mark, when Memphis picked out Anthony Martial in the area. Leutwiler did well to get a foot to the Frenchman’s deflected strike, but the ball looped into the air and had to be cleared off the line by Abu Ogogo.

United finally made the hosts pay eight minutes before the break, as Schneiderlin nodded the ball into Smalling’s path, allowing the defender to volley into the turf and beyond Leutwiler. A second soon followed, after Martial was brought down on the edge of the area, allowing Mata to dispatch a perfectly-placed free-kick with the Shrewsbury stopper rooted to the spot.

CORNERS: Shrewsbury 0 United 6

After failing to register an attempt on goal in the first 45 minutes, the home side introduced former United midfielder Larnell Cole at the interval, but the Reds continued to dictate the play. There was little in the way of goalscoring opportunities until the 54th minute, when Memphis again cut in from the left, but saw his shot drop narrowly wide with the help of a deflection.

United claimed a third just after the hour-mark though, when Ander Herrera’s pin-point pass found an unmarked Lingard at the far post, and the winger slid the ball home on the half-volley to the delight of the travelling fans behind the goal. Lingard might have made it four ten minutes later, after racing through on goal, but couldn’t get the ball out of his feet and stabbed an effort just wide.

With the Reds’ progression all but sealed, Andreas Pereira and Will Keane were introduced for the final stages, and the duo almost combined to extend the lead on 74 minutes. The latter turned and fired a shot off the woodwork, but was injured in the process, leaving United with 10 men for the final quarter of an hour.

Despite the Shrews’ one-man advantage, the damage had long been done, but the home side had a final chance on 87 minutes. Agogo might have claimed a consolation when he was found in acres of space in the area, but headed wide when it seemed easier to score. Instead, Sergio Romero's clean sheet remained intact, and the Reds will now face West Ham at Old Trafford with a place at Wembley in the semi-finals at stake.

Manchester United ease past Shrewsbury in the FA Cup to alleviate some of the pressure on Louis van Gaal - FIVE TALKING POINTS

* Louis van Gaal can't afford to rest his players in the FA Cup this season
* Memphis Depay struggled with his finishing in win over Shrewsbury
* Ed Woodward had a private chat with predecessor David Gill on Monday
* Manchester United eased to 3-0 victory in fifth round against Shrewsbury

Manchester United bounced back from their shock defeat at Midtjylland in the Europa League last Thursday to beat Shrewsbury 3-0 in the FA Cup fifth round.

Chris Smalling and Juan Mata scored before half-time, then Jesse Lingard added a third after the break to ease the pressure on Louis van Gaal.

Here, Sportsmail's Chris Wheeler takes a look at five talking points from Greenhous Meadow on Monday night.

Van Gaal can't afford to rest his best

Manuel Pellegrini may have thrown in the kids at Chelsea on Sunday, moaning that he could not play the same team 72 hours later against Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League, but Louis van Gaal cannot afford to prioritise.

With 13 players on the injury list, and despite a run of five games in 14 days, the Manchester United manager played his strongest side here and it is likely to be a similar team that lines up against Midtjylland in the Europa League on Thursday and then Arsenal on Sunday.

Memphis struggling to finish

Whatever Memphis Depay has been doing to arrest the slump in his first season at United, it would appear that shooting practice has not been under consideration.

Twice in the first six minutes, the young Dutchman took aim from the edge of the Shrewsbury penalty area. His first effort hit the sign on the roof of the Greenhous Stadium, otherwise it would have ended up in the car park. Undeterred, his second attempt moments later was only marginally lower, with goalkeeper Jayson Leutwiler not even bothering to watch where it was going.

When Depay finally got one on target in the 26th minute, he was furious with team-mate Anthony Martial for jumping to block his free kick.

Manchester United winger Memphis Depay struggled with his shooting on Monday night

Woodward and Gill's private chat

Oh to be a fly on the wall when United chief Ed Woodward had a private chat with his predecessor David Gill in the directors' box before kick-off.

Woodward has been compared unfavourably to Gill in almost every respect, and has come in for heavy criticism for his inaction over Louis van Gaal. Stick or twist? Wonder if Gill had any words of advice.

New signings needed

United clearly need yet more new signings this summer, but Lazio's Felipe Anderson is unlikely to be one of them according to the two clubs.

The Brazilian was a United target last August but reports in Italy that Lazio president Claudio Lotito had been overheard telling officials from Serie B team Crotone that a £47m deal had been agreed for the summer was swiftly met with a public denial from his club and a private one from Old Trafford sources.

Mellon struggling to help his ailing side

Shrewsbury boss Micky Mellon has called in the SAS, Marines and Red Arrows to try and get his team playing to the maximum of their potential, but they still needed a whole lot more to bridge the gap in class here.

It was a brave performance from the League One strugglers, who packed bodies behind in the ball in the first half to frustrate Van Gaal's side. But once the first goal went in from Chris Smalling, it was always going to be difficult to get back into the game, and Juan Mata's second on the stroke of half-time was a killer blow.

sedih liat "the next CR7" :-q:-q:-q:-q

2 tendangan pertama mala "menuju puncak gemilang cahaya":sad::sad:

incar apa tooonngg??? :sad::sad::sad:

dapet kesempatan freekick, mala digagalkan oleh Martial
dapet kesempatan freekick di babak kedua, mala melenceng lagi

katanya top skor di liga belanda, tapi kok shot on target aja ga bisa? level liga belanda sejauh itu dg liga inggris? dari seorang top skor sampe ke seorang ga bisa shot on target? atau memang shots (apalagi shots on target) bukan menjadi menu latihan utama (kan yg penting muter muter FC) makanya ketika dapet kesempatan bikin tendangan mala amvuradul smua :))

btw, lumayan lah bisa dpt kemenangan lagi...walo walo walo...kali aja bs dpt trofi di FA Cup

Siip, 2 game menuju final

23-02-2016, 04:37 PM
Permainan semalam...hmm..

Van Gaal reflects on FA Cup victory

"I am satisfied. I have to say that the first 70 minutes we were controlling the game and won every second ball and played very good. We kept the ball also and scored goals – we could have scored more I think. After the 70 minutes, with 10 men [when Will Keane was injured], it was more difficult, but I have seen phases where we kept the ball very easily, so I was very pleased with the performance of the players."

"I was very happy for the players [to get the two first-half goals] because they were so committed to win. We had a lot of luck with the goal from [Chris] Smalling, but the second was fantastic that we could score out of a free-kick - we have learned that from Midtjylland. We have seen that Midtjylland was taking the free-kicks this way and before the match we asked the referees in Denmark if they allowed that and they said ‘yeah, we have to allow it.’ I think it is offside, but okay, they are admitting it is not. In my opinion it is in the rules that you cannot disturb the views of the goalkeeper, but then you are having referees that are saying ‘no, it is not like that’. So, we applied it and it was a goal - not bad!"

The next game
"Yes, of course [it is a big game against Midtjylland], it is our chance to qualify [for the Champions League]. We have to win a lot of games then, but still it is a chance to qualify and that is why it is so important. We have to play continuously, so we don’t have any rest and you have to recover. We take things day-by-day, which is always the case in sport because you can win or lose."

Injury list
"It is unbelievable because [in addition to the substitutes] I have taken [Cameron] Borthwick-Jackson off because he was injured. [Jesse] Lingard was also struggling at the end. I changed [Juan] Mata and [Anthony] Martial to give them rest and then the substitutes are more or less again injured, so it is unbelievable – it is the programme I think. I don’t know [about David De Gea], it is not so heavy but we have to wait and see when we can start him again."
