Since 1999, United for UNICEF, the international charity partnership between Manchester United and UNICEF, has had a positive impact on the lives of over 1.5m children worldwide. Sir Alex Ferguson, Ryan Giggs and Ole Solskjaer are all ambassadors for the charity.

Funds raised by United's ten-year partnership with UNICEF are currently being put to vital use in the Asia-Pacific region.
The region has recently been devastated by three separate natural disasters:
Sumatra earthquake - Over 1,000 people have died, a further 1,000 are missing. Tens of thousands forced to leave their homes urgently need food and shelter.
Philippines typhoon - More than 3m people have been affected. Urgent funds are needed to deliver supplies including medicines, water purification tablets and blankets.
Samoa tsunami - The death toll in American Samoa, Samoa and Tonga following the tsunami has exceeded 160 while up to 6,000 children have been impacted in Samoa alone.
UNICEF is providing assistance to families affected by the three disasters but the ongoing need far outweighs the current supply. The charity urgently needs funds to deliver more emergency supplies and to minimise the long-term effects on children in the region.
