Juan Mata would welcome Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Manchester United as PSG striker continues to decide his future

Juan Mata would welcome the prospect of Zlatan Ibrahimovic joining him at Manchester United.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Ibrahimovic's contract with the French outfit runs out this summer and the 34-year-old Sweden international has been linked with United.

Regarding such talk, Red Devils playmaker Mata told Sky Sports News: 'I don't know what he's going to do.

'I don't know if he will be finishing his contract or not with PSG at the end of the season and if he's going to stay there or not. Maybe he tries a new chapter in his long career.

'He is probably the best in the history of Sweden if we talk about football and what he represents.'

Ibrahimovic is yet to play for an English club, but has won trophies with the likes of Ajax, Inter Milan and AC Milan, Barcelona and PSG.

'He was in so many countries and different leagues and he's won trophies everywhere. That speaks about his quality as a player and his importance,' added Mata.

'He's a very good player and I like to play with very good players.

'I don't decide that, he decides that and the club decides that. But obviously I think every player would be happy to play with him.'

Ibrahimovic keren juga sih sudah bermain di semua klub favorit saya di liga lain (Ajax, Barca, Milan), tinggal di United saja nih yang belum... Sayangnya usianya sudah 34 tahun sih, jadi kalau tidak musim panas mendatang maka kapan lagi ? :D

Sebenarnya ini seperti ambisi pribadinya Ibrahimovic bermain di semua liga yang bagi dirinya liga top.. Liga Belanda udah, Liga Italia udah, Liga Spanyol udah, Liga Prancis udah, kurang apa? ya Liga Jerman atau Liga Inggris.. ya klo ambisi pasti memilih Liga Inggris.. hahaha :P

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's potential move to United is a non-starter if Louis van Gaal remains in charge at Old Trafford...but if Jose Mourinho takes over that's a different story.

The mercurial Swede will leave Paris St Germain in the summer and the striker is being heavily linked with a move to the Reds.

But his working relationship with current United boss Van Gaal couldn't be more contrasting than that with the Dutchman's possible Reds successor Mourinho.

Ibrahimovic fell out with Van Gaal at Ajax when the United manager was technical director and he accused LVG of “sticking his oar in” during a meeting with coach Ronald Koeman.

In his autobiography 'I am Zlatan' the flamboyant goalscorer said, “Van Gaal was a pompous ass. He wanted to be a dictator, without a hint of a gleam in his eye. I was glad when I could avoid him.”

On the other hand Ibrahimovic spent just one season with Mourinho at Inter Milan and was Serie A top scorer and won the title and he could not be more praiseworthy of the Portuguese who is favourite to land the United job in the summer.

“We worked together for one year at Inter The feeling was great between us and my only regret is that we were together for only one year,” Zlatan has said.

Senang sih klo dia gabung. Tapi apa yg dia bisa tawarkan ke United? Dengan asumsi Rooney pasti main maka United akan punya 2 pemain lambat. Blom lagi masalah suplai bola di United yg saat ini minim. Apakah Ibra bakal menggila tanpa suplai bola?

Aku sih lebih ingin United beli winger kanan dulu. Buat tusukan2 dan membuat peluang. Klo itu udh dapat ditambah Ibra baru lebih sip.

jadi inget seniornya yg gagal didatangkan opa Alex saat usia productive nya, tapi secara mengejutkan berhasil dipinjam United selama kurang dari 3 bulan semasa libur kompetisi di liga Swedia, yups …… Hendrik Larsson \m/\m/

Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has confirmed he has received offers to move to the Premier League this summer.

Ibrahimovic is expected to leave the French champions at the end of the season when his current deal comes to an end and competition for his signature will be fierce.

Arsenal and Chelsea, as well as West Ham, are fully aware Ibrahimovic fancies a spell in London, but the Swede has confirmed he will take his time to make the correct choice.

Speaking ahead of Sweden's international friendly against Czech Republic, Ibrahimovic said: 'Yes, there is interest from the Premier League, I can confirm that.

'The Premier League is the league in the world all people and fans speak about. A lot of things have to feel fine when I'm going to take a decision this summer.

‘When the moment comes, when all the cards are on the table, that’s when I have to go through what I want and then we’ll see who wants it more.

‘It’s like a marriage. Two parties have to want it, not just one or the other. Each side needs to want it as much as the other.’

Although interested in Ibrahimovic, West Ham are likely to be out-muscled by their financially superior London rivals when the contract negotiations start up.

While Ibrahimovic would demand in excess of £150,000-a-week wages, the fact he is available on a free transfer evens out the risk factor.

The Gunners will be under pressure to make high-profile signings this summer — and Ibrahimovic, who has gone for a grand total of £133.2m in his career, certainly fits the bill.

However, Ibrahimovic could also become a target for Manchester United should former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho come in to replace under-fire Louis van Gaal this summer.
