London - Duel seru tersaji di babak ketiga Piala Liga Inggris. Juara bertahan Premier League, Leicester City, akan bertemu dengan klub besar yang sedang berusaha bangkit, Chelsea.

Dari hasil undian yang dilakukan pada Kamis (25/8/2016) dinihari WIB, Leicester akan bertindak sebagai tuan rumah pada laga tersebut. The Foxes langsung lolos ke babak ketiga, sementara Chelsea harus berjuang dari babak kedua dan sukses menyingkirkan Bristol Rovers.

Manchester City juga harus menghadapi sesama tim Premier League. Juara bertahan Piala Liga Inggris itu akan bertandang ke markas Swansea City.

Sementara itu, tim-tim besar lainnya mendapatkan lawan dari divisi bawah. Manchester United akan ditantang klub League One, Northampton Town. Arsenal sudah ditunggu klub Divisi Championship, Nottingham Forest.

Liverpool akan bertemu klub Championship lainnya, Derby County. Adapun Tottenham Hotspur akan menjamu klub League One, Gillingham.

Babak ketiga Piala Liga Inggris akan dimainkan pada pekan yang dimulai pada 19 September 2016.

Manchester United dapat lawan mudah nih di babak ketiga.
Semoga pemain yang jarang diturunkan oleh Mou di PL bisa main di ajang ini.
Tentunya jangan anggap remeh.
Dua musim terakhir kalah ama tim kelas bawah soalnya, MK Dons di 2014-2015 dan the boro di 2015-2016.

EFL Cup fourth round draw: Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola to do battle again as United and City paired in League Cup Manchester Derby

Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola will do battle once again after they were drawn to face each other in round four of the EFL Cup.

Both Manchester clubs made progress on Wednesday night, with United beating Northampton and City winning at Swansea, with the draw setting up a first English cup meeting between the two managers.

After an intense rivalry while in charge of Real Madrid and Barcelona, the pair met in English football for the first time on September 10, with City winning 2-1 at Old Trafford as Guardiola struck the first blow.

The two were not due to meet again until the reverse Premier League fixture at the Etihad on February 25, but they will now face each other in the week beginning October 24.

Elsewhere West Ham face Swansea after narrowly sneaking past Accrington Stanley in the third round on Wednesday night, and Tottenham travel to Reading in two attractive ties.

Arsenal are at home to Reading following their comfortable win at Nottingham Forest on Tuesday while there is an all-Premier League clash between Southampton and Sunderland.

At least two Championship sides will make it through to the quarter-finals after Leeds were paired with Norwich and Newcastle were drawn at home to Preston.

But all eyes will be on Mourinho vs Guardiola when the two Manchester clubs do battle at Old Trafford in October.

EFL Cup quarter-final draw: Jose Mourinho's Manchester United will play West Ham while Arsenal face Southampton

* Manchester United face a home fixture against West Ham in the last eight
* Arsenal play Southampton at the Emirates, while Liverpool host Leeds
* Premier League strugglers Hull face a home tie with high-flying Newcastle

After beating rivals Manchester City in the last 16, Manchester United will face West Ham at Old Trafford in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup.

In another all-Premier League tie, Arsenal will face Southampton at the Emirates after both sides beat Reading and Sunderland respectively.

Premier League strugglers Hull have a home tie at the KCOM Stadium against Championship leaders Newcastle.

And Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool will face Leeds in the next round at Anfield. The last eight fixtures are set to take place on November 29-30.

The last time United played West Ham in the League Cup, the Hammers won 4-0 back in 2010.

United exerted revenge on their rivals City on Wednesday night thanks to a winner from Spanish midfielder Juan Mata.

Meanwhile, West Ham progressed to the last eight after beating Chelsea 2-1 at the London Stadium.

In bad news to Arsenal fans ahead of the Southampton clash, Arsene Wenger's side have lost their last three League Cup home games to Premier League teams.

Hull have never reached the last four of this competition, while Rafa Benitez's Newcastle side haven't progressed to the semi-finals since 1976.

The last two times Liverpool and Leeds played each other in this competition, was in the third round, with the Reds running out 1-0 winners at Elland Road thanks to a David N'gog goal in 2009.

Manchester United take on Hull City in EFL Cup semi-final while Liverpool face Southampton in last-four

* Manchester United progressed with a 4-1 win against West Ham
* Liverpool are into the last-four after a 2-0 victory against Leeds United
* The matches will take place in the weeks commencing January 9 and 23

Manchester United have been drawn against Hull City for the semi-final stage of the EFL Cup.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will take on Southampton in the other semi-final tie. The ties, which are decided over two legs, take place in January.

Both Jurgen Klopp and Jose Mourinho are looking to win their first major trophies with their sides and the EFL Cup will provide the first real opportunity of the season, with the final to take place in February.

United host Hull City in the first leg before visiting the KCOM. Liverpool will travel to St Mary's for their semi-final first leg.

Liverpool were the first team to progress to the semi-final stage of the League Cup with a 2-0 victory against Championship side Leeds.

Their win came courtesy of goals from Divock Origi and teenager Ben Woodburn, who became the club's youngest ever goalscorer.

Hull also advanced with a penalty shootout win over Newcastle, who had been tipped as a potential dark horse to win the competition despite their relegation last season.

On Wednesday, Southampton surprised Arsenal with a consummate away performance to take a 2-0 win away from the Emirates. The Saints had Jordy Clasie and Ryan Bertrand to thank for their victory.

United were confirmed as the fourth team in the hat for the last-four of the competition with a 3-1 win against West Ham at Old Trafford.

The first-leg of the semi-final ties will take place in the week commencing January 9, with the return legs being played after January 23.

The final takes place at Wembley on February 26.
