Salford City's joint managers QUIT just days after winning promotion as Class of 92's Gary Neville calls the decision 'regrettable' amid failure to agree new deal

* Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley leave Salford after failing to agree terms for new contract
* The club said there were 'irreconcilable differences around personal terms'
* Co-owner Gary Neville called the decision 'regrettable' but 'the right decision'

Salford City have parted company with joint-managers Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley after 'irreconcilable differences around personal terms' scuppered new contract talks.

It comes just a few days after Salford, who are part-owned by members of Manchester United's 'Class of 92', earned promotion to the National League, English football's fifth tier, for the first time.

The National League North title won this season was the club's third promotion in four seasons under the management of Johnson and Morley.

A statement issued by the club on Tuesday read: 'Following a meeting held this morning Salford City Football Club and joint-managers Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley have agreed to part company.

'A meeting took place between the club's management and the managers but there were irreconcilable differences around personal terms relating to contract length and performance related matters.
