Promoted teams enjoy record start

MW2 wins for Boro, Burnley and
Hull set highest points tally in PL
history

Victories for Middlesbrough, Hull City and
Burnley this weekend mean they have
enjoyed the best start of promoted clubs
in Premier League history.

Boro claimed their first victory since
ending their seven-year absence from
the top flight when Christhian Stuani’s
double secured a 2-1 win over Sunderland on Sunday, taking their tally to four points from two matches.

The day before, Burnley earned their first
points of the campaign with a 2-0
success against Liverpool , while Hull City
maintained their perfect start with a win
by the same scoreline at Swansea City.

The three have earned 13 points from a
possible 18 in the opening two
matchweeks after coming up from the
Championship, the highest total from
three promoted clubs at this stage of a
Premier League season.
