Default Re: Premier League stats 'n numbers (up date : Nov. 23rd, 2010)

Barclays Premier League in numbers
PremierLeague.com - November 2010

We look back at the latest weekend of the Barclays Premier League season with some key facts and figures.

4 - Dimitar Berbatov became only the fourth player to score five goals in a single Premier League match joining Jermain Defoe (for Tottenham Hotspur v Wigan Athletic last season), Andy Cole (for Manchester United v Ipswich Town in March 1995) and Alan Shearer (for Newcastle United v Sheffield Wednesday in November 1999).

5 - Paul Scharner has now scored five Premier League goals against Everton. He has not found the net against any other club more than once.

11 - Fulham's 1-1 draw with Birmingham City means they have now won just one of their last 11 Barclays Premier League matches.

16 - After coming from behind to beat Liverpool 2-1, Tottenham have now recouped 16 points from losing positions, more than any team this season.

20 - For the first time in Premier League history, all 20 clubs scored in one weekend.

36 - Saturday's total of 36 goals was the most scored on a single Saturday since the Premier League began.

49 - Victor Obinna scored his first Barclays Premier League goal in the 3-1 win over Wigan Athletic with his 49th shot.

149 - Aston Villa have now scored 149 goals at home against Arsenal in the football league after their 4-2 defeat to the Gunners.

241 - It is 241 days since Manchester United last lost, the 2-1 home defeat by Chelsea on 3rd April.
