Default Re: [LEGEND] Roberto Baggio

Baggio returns to football

Italy legend Roberto Baggio has enrolled himself on the UEFA B coaching course as he takes the first steps back to football.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the course, beginning in September, will last throughout the calcio season, and will ultimately qualify him as a third category coach, and allowing him to move on to higher football qualifications in the future.

Baggio has also been linked with taking on a presidential role at the FIGC's youth sector as part of their overhaul of Italian football, and the Italian legend would be responsible for reshaping football at a grassroots level.

It is also reported that the presidential role is still open to him should he decide to combine it with his coaching plans.

Italy legend Roberto Baggio has enrolled himself on the UEFA B coaching course as he takes the first steps back to football.

In 1993, Baggio won both the Ballon d'Or and the FIFA World Player of the Year.

He is the only Italian player ever to score in three World Cups, and has maintained his popularity in Italy despite a crucial penalty miss in the final of the 1994 FIFA World Cup, which contributed to Italy losing the trophy to Brazil.
