KEY STATS: UNITED IN THE LEAGUE CUP
Manchester United will be aiming to win the League Cup for a fifth time when the Reds face Southampton at Wembley on Sunday, having last lifted the trophy in 2010.
Victory in this weekend's showpiece match would be the perfect way to cap what is the club's 50th year of participation in the competition, with Jose Mourinho's men determined to see off the Saints.

5 - That's how times we've played Sunday's opponents, Southampton, in the League Cup, losing just once. This weekend's match will be the first in the competition between the sides since a 3-2 win for United in January 1991.
7 - Michael Owen netted seven League Cup goals in as many appearances during his time at Old Trafford. Of the players to have made more than five appearances, only Carlos Tevez, who scored six in six, has the same strike-rate.
8 - The Reds have reached the League Cup final on eight occasions, winning four times. Six of those finals have been played at Wembley, and two at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
9 - The number of goals scored during our biggest-ever League Cup win. Gordon Hill netted a hat-trick as the Reds beat Newcastle 7-2 in October 1976.
17 - Former United attacker Norman Whiteside remains the youngest scorer in League Cup final history - he was just 17 years, 324 days old when he found the net against Liverpool in 1982/83.
19 - United's top scorer in the competition is Brian McClair, with 19 goals between 1987 and 1998.
50 - This season, United are participating in the League Cup for the 50th time. We first entered the competition in 1960/61, when we were knocked out by Bradford in the second round.
51 - Bryan Robson's appearance total in the League Cup which is more than any other player for United, ahead of Brian McClair (45) in second and Ryan Giggs (41) in third.
191 - The number of games we've played in the League Cup going into this weekend's final. Of those, the Reds have managed 110 wins, 30 draws and 51 defeats, which equates to a win percentage of 57 per cent.
338 - The Reds have scored a massive 338 goals in the competition, and have a goal difference of +127. Not bad!
2010 - In retaining the trophy with victory over Aston Villa in 2010, United became the first club to do so since Nottingham Forest in 1990.
99,304 - United's highest attendance in the competition came in our first-ever League Cup final, against Liverpool at Wembley in 1983.
