The forward made 30 appearances and scored three goals for Blues during the 2012-13 Championship campaign under former manager Lee Clark.

Blues boss Harry Redknapp said: 'Ravel's come in and he's going to be training with us for a few days so we can have a look at him. That's it really.'

Redknapp managed Morrison at QPR during his first loan spell there, and the former Manchester United trainee scored twice in their 2-0 win at St. Andrew's in March, 2014.

QPR confirmed they would not be taking up a £2.5million option on Morrison at the conclusion of his loan spell in May.

Morrison has started one game for Lazio since moving to the Stadio Olimpico in 2015.

He made just eight competitive appearances in a Lazio jersey for a total 159 minutes of football.
