Default Re: David de Gea Quintana

David de Gea 'ready for fresh contract offer from Manchester United' as he seeks bumper pay rise

* David de Gea is set to enter final year of his current deal at Manchester United
* The club are 'set to offer the Spain goalkeeper a bumper new deal' this summer
* It is understood De Gea wants a wage similar to Alexis Sanchez's £500k a week
* De Gea currently earns £240k a week but is set to significantly bump that up

David de Gea is 'set to be offered a bumper new contract at Manchester United' as he prepares to enter the final 12 months of his current deal.

The influential goalkeeper has been linked with moves to Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus in recent years, but United are adamant they don't want to sell their star man.

De Gea has been holding out for a huge wage increase, and it has been reported that United are set to give him a big rise on his current £240,000-a-week terms.

David de Gea is set to be offered a new Manchester United contract as he enters his final year. The Spain goalkeeper is said to want a wage closer to that of Alexis Sanchez's £500k a week

The Telegraph write that talks over a new deal are continuing, and De Gea is prepared for a fresh offer from the club.

It is understood that the Spaniard has been seeking a deal closer to Alexis Sanchez's £500,000-a-week salary, but it is not yet known at this stage how much United are willing to shell out for their No 1 goalkeeper.

De Gea's form dipped at the end of last season, but it is set to be a huge summer of overhaul at Old Trafford as they look to bridge the gap between themselves and rivals Manchester City at the top of the table.

Crystal Palace right back Aaron Wan-Bissaka has emerged as the top summer target, and it could cost a mammoth £60million to prise him away from Selhurst Park.
