Fellaini ready to gamble for United in super Sunday showdown against rivals Liverpool
Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini is ready to take a gamble with a new pair of boots for this Sunday's showdown with Liverpool.
The ex-Everton man has endured a rocky start to life at Old Trafford following his £27.5million arrival last summer.
He escaped retrospective action for his wild lunge at West Brom's Claudio Yacob last weekend.
But he'll be looking to make a mark on this Sunday's Premier League clash with Liverpool for the right reasons in his new Warrior gambler boot.
And there's a hint of Merseyside about them in their divided blue and red colourway. The American brand's boots boast a striking checkerboard Tech Mesh outer that 'commands uncompromised on-pitch visibility'.
And, according to Warrior, they are lightweight and supple yet still hardwearing, as the mesh covers a welded foot cage to provide ultimate form and protection.
Fellaini will hope they bring him some luck against an in-form Liverpool who are desperate to boost their title credentials with three points.
His United team-mates were full of praise for the Belgium international's performance in the 3-0 win at The Hawthorns last Saturday.
'Fellaini was terrific in breaking up the play and playing the ball forward,' said England defender Phil Jones, speaking to MUTV.
'He showed why the manager brought him in and there’s a lot more to come from him – he’s a quality player.'
Fellaini's new boots will be available to buy from April 1.
