Default Re: [G] (Out Of) Footballer Selfie Time :-"

The hairy beast! Spurs star Sandro sports impressive new facial hair, but who has the best beard in football?

Tottenham midfielder Sandro marked his return from injury with a rather unique style of facial hair as 'The Beast' took to the field for Spurs' Europa League clash against Dnipro.

The 24-year-old is known for his off-the-field antics and unusual hair styles, but even his Spurs team-mates must have been shocked by his latest offering.

Sandro has certainly had enough time on his hands to think up his latest style as the midfielder has been out of action for two months after injuring his hamstring during Tottenham's 5-1 defeat at the hands of Liverpool in December.

The Brazilian's Thursday night special might just have been intimidating enough to see Spurs over the line against Dnipro as the home side knocked out Dnipro with a 3-2 aggregate win.

Although Sandro's effort is more specular than most, the Spurs man isn't the first player to favour a hairy face. Take a look below to find Sportsmail's top five best beards.

Tim Howard

Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard took to growing a beard at the start of the season and even joked that the fluff helped him to save a Christian Benteke penalty when his team faced Everton in October, 2013.

Raul Meireles

Former Chelsea and Liverpool midfielder Raul Meireles usually has the lot in terms of outrageous styles. The 30-year-old is covered in tattoos and can usually be found sporting a Mohawk and massive beard.

Andrea Pirlo

Italian maestro Andrea Pirlo could well have one the most most luxurious beards in football. No doubt his young Juventus team-mates are extremely jealous.

Olof Mellberg

Former Astona Villa defender Olof Mellberg certainly became a more menacing figure each time he decided to grow one of his trademark beards.

Andy Carroll

The West Ham striker becomes an even more imposing frontman when his beard is in full flow. Carroll has often been victim to fans questioning his talent or lifestyle outside of football, but none of them can question his facial hair.
