Manchester United will refuse to meet Borussia Dortmund's £110million asking price for Jadon Sancho as they prepare to make a move for the England winger.

The two clubs are some way apart on valuation and sources dismissed reports in Germany on Monday that United have had an opening bid of £89m rejected.

It's understood that no formal offer has been made yet, although Sancho remains United's No 1 target in this transfer window.

The club have more money to spend after qualifying for next season's Champions League, having drawn up two budgets based on the outcome of their bid for a top-four place.

But United are unwilling to pay more than double what it has cost Chelsea to sign Timo Werner from Red Bull Leipzig and Bayern Munich to take Leroy Sane back to the Bundesliga from Manchester City.

Sancho, who joined Dortmund from City for £8m in 2017, has less than two years left on his contract at Dortmund and is keen to leave for United.

The 20-year-old is due back in training on Thursday and Dortmund want a deal done by August 10 when they leave for pre-season camp in Switzerland, even though the window will stay open until October 5.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also wants a new centre-back but will first have to offload some defenders with Marcos Rojo set to leave and a question mark hanging over the futures of Chris Smalling and Phil Jones.

Solskjaer will make a decision on loan moves for a number of his players this week, not least goalkeeper Dean Henderson who has spent the last two seasons at Sheffield United.

Dortmund want any deal for the England international done by August 10 when they leave for a pre-season training camp in Switzerland, even though the transfer window will stay open until October 5.

However, as reported by Sportsmail, United will refuse to meet Dortmund's current valuation of the player despite preparing a move for the England international.

Sancho remains United's No 1 priority in the transfer window, but the Old Trafford side are yet to make a formal offer, with sources telling Sportsmail that reports in Germany of an opening bid of £89m being rejected are wide of the mark.

As reported by The Sun, Dortmund may be more willing to sell Sancho if they are able to bring in Depay.

When he was at United Depay struggled to make much of an impact - he scored just seven goals in 53 appearances. However, he has fared rather better for Lyon, scoring 14 goals this season, while he has also impressed on the international stage for Holland over the past couple of years.

Manchester United are edging closer to a stunning record deal to land their No 1 summer target Jadon Sancho.

United are on the verge of finalising personal terms on a contract of at least five years for Borussia Dortmund's England winger.

Meanwhile, advanced talks between the two clubs over a deal that could reach an eventual £108million, are continuing in the hope of an agreement being struck, potentially within the next week.

Dortmund are refusing to budge from their £108m valuation of brilliant winger Sancho, which would see them make a staggering profit having signed him for £8m from Manchester City in 2017.

The German side were hoping for at least half of that up front, with talks also focused on how the rest of the deal is structured, in terms of guaranteed money, add ons and instalment size and dates, beyond the initial fee.

Dortmund head off to Switzerland for their pre-season training camp next Monday - August 10 - and would prefer the deal done before then.

However, missing that date is not considered a deal breaker and there remains optimism from all sides that a compromise will eventually be reached.

Sancho's current Dortmund deal which runs until 2022 is worth around £190,000 per week.

He can expect a considerable pay hike to reflect his likely transfer fee and status as one of the most exciting players in world football should negotiations reach their successful conclusion.

A fee of £108m fee would see him become the most expensive player bought by an English club, topping the £89m United paid to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus in 2016.


Ole Gunnar Solskjaer identified Sancho as his top target ahead of the record British transfer. The clubs have been in advanced discussions for a while to seal Sancho's Manchester return. All parties are optimistic an agreement will be reached to bring the 20-year-old to Old Trafford. Sancho's current Dortmund deal, due to run until 2022, is worth around £190,000 per week



That price tag would beat Gareth Bale's £86m move from Tottenham to Real Madrid in 2013 also making Sancho the most expensive British player ever.

Meanwhile only four players – PSG's Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, Atletico Madrid's Joao Felix and Barcelona's Philippe Coutinho – in the history of world football have commanded bigger fees than the one Dortmund are demanding for Sancho.

Sancho joined Dortmund from City a few months after being named the best player of his age by winning the golden player award at the under-17 Euros as he helped England finish runners up in Croatia.

Sancho, who was then part of England under-17s World Cup winning squad, has since gone on to underline his potential during his three years at Dortmund, scoring 34 goals and setting up 43 more in just 99 games, to help him become a full England international and global star.

Iya bener, bisa jadi Greenwood rada ketahan nih.
Kalo saya sih, di samping bek tengah tadi, prefer penyerang oportunis (penyerang tengah), semisal Ruudtje atau RvP. Martial, Rashford, dan Greenwood dirotasi aja jadi penyerang sayap secara bergantian. Dan Martial juga dirotasi gantian dengan pemain baru tadi sebagai penyerang tengah.

Walaupun udah tua, saya suka kalo MU beli Immobile atau Lewandowski. Hehehe
