Vitinha is facing an 'imminent' exit from Porto this summer, with Manchester United 'the most interested' in triggering midfielder's £34m release clause... despite Wolves TURNING DOWN £17m option to buy after 2020-21 loan

* Porto midfielder Vitinha spent 2020-21 season in England on loan with Wolves
* Despite making 23 appearances, the Molineux side chose against buying him
* Now back in Portugal, the midfielder has played a key role in winning a double
* Reports in Portugal have said that Man United boss Erik ten Hag is interested

Manchester United are the 'most interested' side in triggering Porto midfielder's Vitinha's £34million release clause, according to reports in Portugal.

The 22-year-old, whose full name is Vítor Machado Ferreira, already has Premier League experience having spent the 2020-21 season on loan at Wolves.

Due to constraints brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic, Wolves turned down the chance to buy him for £17m - but he is now reportedly in line for a return to the Premier League.

Portuguese newspaper Record have detailed that Vitinha, who returned to Porto last season and played a key role in them winning the double, is set for an 'imminent' departure.

Porto midfielder Vitinha is earning Premier League interest, according to reports in Portugal. Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is said to be keen to trigger Vitinha's £34m release clause. Vitinha returned to Porto last summer and thrived, making 47 appearances in all competitions

The Record report goes on to add that his €40m (£34m) buyout clause 'will be exercised' by a Premier League club.

Manchester United are the only team named in their reporting.

They add that newly-appointed Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag feels Vitinha's style makes him a good fit and the player's goodbye 'is getting closer' at Porto.

Vitinha's future attracted coverage across Portugal's major newspapers on Tuesday.

In O Jogo's report, they revealed that Vitinha has 'been mentioned in meetings' with both Manchester United and Barcelona last week.

Vitinha shone last season having played a key role in delivering the Portuguese title to Porto.

As a result he has established himself in Portugal's senior team as they build momentum ahead of the World Cup in Qatar later this year.

United would prove a familiar landing spot for the 22-year-old given fellow Portuguese internationals Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot all play at Old Trafford.

Vitinha made 47 appearances in all competitions last season, finishing with four goals and five assists.

His agent is Jorge Mendes, who also looks after Ronaldo's affairs, and United are very familiar with the intermediary.

Now in the Portugal national team, Vitinha's stock is elevating since his last spell in England. He spent the 2020-21 season on loan with Wolves but they didn't take their option-to-buy

With Man City and Liverpool making major moves in the transfer market already this summer, pressure is building on United to hand new boss Ten Hag his first new faces.

City have spent £51m to get Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund while Liverpool are breaking their transfer record to spend £85m on Darwin Nunez.

Manchester United had been admirers of Nunez but Sportsmail revealed on Tuesday that they pulled out of the race after deciding against being held to a bidding war with Liverpool.

Nottingham Forest agree personal terms with Man United goalkeeper Dean Henderson ahead of loan move with option to buy for £20m... with Brice Samba keen to leave the City Ground and sign for Lens

* Nottingham Forest have agreed to sign Manchester United's Dean Henderson
* The goalkeeper will join initially on loan, with Forest having the option to buy
* The Reds have been quick to act after Brice Samba confirmed his wish to leave
* It makes it difficult for James Garner to return to the City Ground next season
* Henderson played second fiddle to David de Gea at Old Trafford last term

Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal with Manchester United to sign Dean Henderson on loan with the option to buy for £20million.

The goalkeeper has agreed personal terms with the newly-promoted Premier League club, with only the paperwork left to be finalised ahead of his switch to the City Ground.

Forest have been quick to act after Brice Samba informed them that he wishes to leave this summer, with the Congolese shot-stopper keen on a move to Ligue 1 side Lens.

Henderson's move to Forest will make it difficult for Manchester United midfielder James Garner, 21, to return to the Reds next season after a successful loan spell in 2021-22.

Premier League rules state that clubs are not allowed to take more than one player on loan from the same club at the same time, but exceptions can be made if one of the loans is to be made permanent.

Miltiadis Marinakis took over the running of Forest from his father Evangelos last year and is already going about transforming the club to ensure they remain in the top-flight after ending their 23-year exodus.

'I need to congratulate my son Miltiadis because he took over this year,' Evangelos told Sky Sports after Forest's play-off final win over Huddersfield.

Henderson will arrive having played second fiddle to David de Gea at Old Trafford over the last two seasons. He only made three appearances in 2021-22, which came in the Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup.

Goalkeeper Dean Henderson (pictured) has agreed personal terms with Nottingham Forest. Forest have been quick to act after Brice Samba informed them that he wishes to leave. Henderson's arrival means that Forest could find it difficult to sign James Garner on loan again

The 25-year-old has experience of coming into a newly-promoted team as he spent the 2019-20 season on loan at Sheffield United and kept 13 clean sheets in 36 games as the Blades finished ninth.

He has earned one England cap and was included in the squad for Euro 2020 before missing out through injury, so will hope that regular football gets him back into Gareth Southgate's thoughts before the World Cup in the winter.

Newcastle had also shown an interest in signing Henderson, but a move to the City Ground now looks set to go through.

Manchester United 'consider move for Watford goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann, who is available for between £2m and £4m' - as Erik ten Hag looks for new back-up shot-stopper ahead of Dean Henderson's impending exit

* Manchester United are reportedly weighing up an offer for Daniel Bachmann
* The Watford goalkeeper, 27, would only cost between £2million and £4million
* He would replace Dean Henderson, who is close to joining Nottingham Forest
* Tom Heaton, aged 36, could also step up to be No 2 goalkeeper at Old Trafford

Manchester United are reportedly weighing up a bid for Watford goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann.

Erik ten Hag is expected to be on the hunt for a new back-up to David de Gea this summer as Dean Henderson is close to joining Nottingham Forest on loan.

Sportsmail reported earlier this week that the one-cap England international has agreed personal terms with the newly-promoted Premier League club, who will have an option to buy him for £20million at the end of the loan.

According to The Athletic, Bachmann is a candidate to replace Henderson and would only cost between £2m and £4m.

The report adds that 36-year-old Tom Heaton, who has only played 22 minutes since returning to Old Trafford last summer, could step up to be No 2, but a foray into the transfer market is possible.

Bachmann, 27, has been at Watford since 2017 and played 23 times as the Hornets won promotion from the Championship in 2020-21.

Manchester United are reportedly weighing up a bid for Watford goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann. United's current No 2 Dean Henderson is close to joining Nottingham Forest on loan. There is also a chance that Tom Heaton, 36, could step up to be David De Gea's understudy

The Austrian then started the first four Premier League games of last season before losing his place to Ben Foster and becoming No 2.

Foster has now left Vicarage Road, but Watford have signed Maduka Okoye from Sparta Rotterdam for nearly £5m and The Athletic claim that the 22-year-old is expected to be first choice.

That could make a move to Old Trafford appealing for Bachmann, who would have the opportunity to feature in the Europa League.

Manchester United join the race for Hoffenheim star David Raum who is 'valued at around £34million'... but they face competition from West Ham, Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund

* Manchester United have joined the race for Hoffenheim left-back David Raum
* Raum, 24, has drawn interest from several clubs and is valued at £34million
* But they face competition from Premier League rivals West Ham and Newcastle
* Borussia Dortmund were previously in pole position but 'must sell' before buying

Manchester United have reportedly join the race for Hoffenheim left-back David Raum's signature this summer.

United's interest in Raum, who is valued at £34million by the Bundesliga side, comes after a stellar individual season, but they will face competition from Premier League rivals West Ham and Newcastle.

And according to Sky Germany, Borussia Dortmund are interested in the Germany international, despite reportedly needing to sell players before they enter the transfer market.

Raum has drawn interest from across Europe after a hugely impressive break out season at Hoffenheim, having arrived from Greuther Furth in July 2021.

The 24-year-old registered the most crosses into the box of any player in Europe's top five leagues, and managed 13 assists in the Bundesliga last season.

But despite his evident offensive talent, it is thought that United will want Raum's services at the other end of the pitch, after shipping 57 goals last season.

David Raum managed three goals and 13 assists in 32 games in his first season at Hoffenheim. Raum has nine appearances for Germany having represented his country at youth level. The 24-year-old won promotion to the Bundesliga with Greuther Furth before leaving in 2021

Hoffenheim are reportedly keen to sell the player after just one season at the club, as he has a release clause in his contract activating next summer, when they run the risk of receiving less money for their man.

Raum's deal at the German side runs up in 2026 having signed an extension just six months into his stay at Hoffenheim, so impressive was his start to the season.

And after a ninth place Bundesliga finish, Hoffenheim will know that the lure of European competition may be too strong for them to keep hold of the left-back.

But United's interest in Raum, who has nine appearances for Germany, may have the likes of Luke Shaw sweating over his place at Old Trafford.

Shaw has slipped down the pecking order at the Manchester club after a string of poor performances ultimately lead to him losing his starting spot to Alex Telles.

Having failed to impress Ralf Rangnick, and his well-documented issues under Jose Mourinho, the England international will want to impress ten Hag in pre-season if he is to stand any chance of winning his place back with his contract up next year.

Manchester United 'offer out-of-favour defender Eric Bailly to Newcastle'... just days after fellow centre-back Jurrien Timber opted to turn down a move to Old Trafford to stay at Ajax

* Promising defender Jurrien Timber has decided to stay at Ajax for another year
* Manchester United had wanted to bring him in under new manager Erik ten Hag
* They still want to offload one of their other centre-backs, Eric Bailly, though
* United have offered the Ivorian defender to Premier League rivals Newcastle

Manchester United have reportedly offered Eric Bailly to Newcastle, despite missing out on Ajax defender Jurrien Timber.

Erik ten Hag wanted Timber to follow him to Old Trafford, but it was reported earlier this week that the 21-year-old has decided to stay in Amsterdam to guarantee himself plenty of game time, with the World Cup now just five months away.

This news does not appear to have led to United changing their plans, though, with regards to Bailly's future.

The 13-time Premier League champions are still keen to offload the Ivorian, and have presented the Magpies with the opportunity to buy him, according to The Mirror.

Manchester United have offered Newcastle the chance to sign Eric Bailly. This decision has been made despite United missing out on signing Jurrien Timber from Ajax. It now remains to be seen whether Eddie Howe is interested in bringing Bailly to St James' Park

Bailly still has two years remaining on his contract, and there is the option for a further 12 months, but United could be willing to allow him to leave for as little as £8.5million.

This would represent a significant loss for the Red Devils after they spent £30m on him six years ago.

Bailly has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford in recent years, and he was limited to just three league starts last term.

One of those came in the Manchester derby last November, where he scored an early own goal and was subsequently hauled off at half time.

It seems that his days at United are numbered, but he could yet be handed the chance to resurrect his career at Newcastle.

Eddie Howe is seeking to bolster his back line this summer, and the club have set their sights on Lille's Sven Botman.

However, the North-East side are struggling to make headway in their pursuit of the young centre-back, who is also wanted by Serie A champions AC Milan.

Should they miss out on Botman, they could opt to turn their attention to Bailly.

Timber & Botman gak dapat tapi mau melepas Bailly, mending beli bek tengah baru dulu baru lepas Bailly. salah satu sebab Timber ogah pindah ke United juga gara2 'dikomporin' LVG nih, kalo pindah ke United bisa gak dipanggil ke timans lagi, LVG masih sakit hati sama manajemen United

Manchester United 'make initial contact with Christian Eriksen' ahead of potential free transfer as Erik ten Hag looks to sign Denmark international despite interest from Brentford and West Ham

* Manchester United have made initial contact with Christian Eriksen
* New United manager Erik ten Hag is a huge admirer of Eriksen's qualities
* Ten Hag sees Frenkie de Jong and Eriksen as his ideal first two signings at United
* Eriksen is set to become a free agent when his Brentford contract expires
* Brentford are keen on re-signing Eriksen and West Ham are also interested

Manchester United have made initial contact with Christian Eriksen regarding a potential move this summer.

Eriksen is set to be available as a free agent when his Brentford contract expires at the end of this month, and new United manager Erik ten Hag is a big admirer of the Denmark international.

As reported by Sky Sports, United are keen to sign Eriksen, with Brentford and West Ham are also interested.

Other clubs who are tracking Eriksen include Leicester, his old club Ajax and an unknown Spanish team. Tottenham haven't yet come back with an offer following talks that were held two weeks ago, although they have been focused on attempting to sign another striker.

After a dismal campaign in which United finished in sixth place in the Premier League, it is clear that an overhaul is needed at Old Trafford.

There has been a lack of transfer activity so far, but ten Hag is looking to add to his squad, with Eriksen one of his key targets along with Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong. De Jong and Eriksen both understand the way in which ten Hag wants his team to play.

Eriksen made a major impact for Brentford after he joined in January on a short-term contract having recovered from the cardiac arrest that he suffered while playing for Denmark at Euro 2020 last year.

Manchester United have made initial contact with Christian Eriksen over a potential deal. New Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is a big admirer of Eriksen's ability. Brentford are interested in re-signing Eriksen, while Tottenham are monitoring the situation. Eriksen made a major impact under Thomas Frank at Brentford with some impressive displays. The Denmark international is set to become a free agent when his Brentford contract expires

In eleven Premier League appearances for Brentford Eriksen scored once and provided four assists, with many of his overall performances having been of a high standard.

Ten Hag was impressed by Eriksen when he trained with Ajax last season to build up his fitness.

The 30-year-old's Premier League experience, the bulk of which came during his time at Tottenham, could prove to be extremely useful for United.

United remain in talks with Barcelona for de Jong, who played under ten Hag at Ajax and is seen as pivotal to United's rebuild.

There have been a host of departures from United this summer, with Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani and Juan Mata among those departing the club.

Manchester United 'interested' in rivalling Arsenal for Ajax player of the season Lisandro Martinez... with the Dutch champions demanding £30m for the versatile defender who Erik ten Hag praised as an 'excellent player'

* Man United are reportedly keen on Ajax player of the season Lisandro Martinez
* Incoming United boss Erik ten Hag made Martinez a regular at the Dutch giants
* Arsenal are said to have spoken with Ajax about the £30m left-footed defender
* Ten Hag deployed Martinez as a centre-back, left-back and in midfield at Ajax

Manchester United are ready to rival Arsenal for Ajax player of the season Lisandro Martinez, according to a report.

Ajax want around £30million for Martinez, who was signed by Ten Hag from Argentinian side Defensa y Justicia in 2019 and has already been the subject of an unsuccessful £25million bid from the Gunners.

United are interested in Martinez but are not prioritising his position because of the number of centre-backs they currently have, Sky Sports News said.

The outlet suggested that Ten Hag will not urgently seek new faces in central defence while Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof, Phil Jones and Eric Bailly are all on the books at Old Trafford.

Lisandro Martinez won player of the season at the end of Ajax's triumphant 2021/22 campaign. Former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag is reportedly interested in signing Martinez for Man United

Known as 'The Butcher of Amsterdam', Martinez helped Ajax win the Eredivisie title last season as part of a miserly defence who conceded only 19 goals in 34 games.

The 24-year-old was used as a centre-back during the campaign but Ten Hag was impressed by his versatility when he played at full-back on both flanks and as a central midfielder following his arrival in Amsterdam.

Martinez signed a two-year extension to his Ajax contract in 2021, committing him until 2025 after he became the second Argentinian after Nicolas Tagliafico to reach 100 appearances for the club.

Martinez is a ball-playing central defender with the ability to play as a full-back or in midfield

An Argentina debutant in 2019, Martinez was part of the squad who won the Finalissima against Italy at Wembley earlier this month and played at centre-back for 62 minutes of his country's subsequent 5-0 thrashing of Estonia.

After agreeing new terms at Ajax, Martinez said: 'I've grown a lot here. I've become a much stronger and smarter player here, and more calm on the ball.'

Ten Hag, who officially takes over at United on July 1, predicted that Martinez would become a regular shortly after signing him to provide competition to Daley Blind, Tagliafico and Ryan Gravenberch.

Ten Hag said at the time: 'I find Lisandro Martínez an excellent player. He is actually starting material and this is why I talk with him a lot.'

Manchester United 'will continue their chase of Evanilson despite Porto rejecting initial £55m bid' for the Brazilian striker as Erik ten Hag seeks back-up to Cristiano Ronaldo up front

* A new centre forward is a priority for Erik ten Hag as he starts at Old Trafford
* United became reliant on Cristiano Ronaldo to supply their goals in 2021-22
* Reports in Portugal say United have already lodged a £55m bid for Evanilson
* Porto rebuffed the offer, holding out for more money, and United could return

Manchester United will reportedly continue their pursuit of striker Evanilson, despite Porto rejecting an initial offer of £55million.

The 22-year-old Brazilian, who scored 21 goals for the Portuguese champions last season, is apparently on Erik ten Hag's wishlist as he rebuilds the squad inherited at Old Trafford.

Portuguese newspaper O Jogo report that Porto have already rejected one bid but United intend to return with a fresh offer.

Manchester United reportedly had a £55m offer for Porto striker Evanilson rejected

They add that Porto value the player at closer to £70m, a price that apparently scared off fellow Premier League clubs Wolves and Brighton, who enquired after Evanilson.

Porto would like to keep hold of Evanilson, whose contract runs until 2025, but O Jogo believe an improved offer from United would test their resolve.

While Ten Hag's main objective this summer is to sign a central midfielder - with United in negotiations with Barcelona over Frenkie de Jong - a new centre forward would ease the pressure on 37-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo.

Though Ronaldo scored 24 times in the first season of his second spell at Old Trafford, the departure of Edinson Cavani means there is little back-up for the Portuguese star.

Evanilson has scored 25 goals and supplied five assists in 70 outings for Porto following his transfer from Brazilian club Fluminense in September 2020.

The Fortaleza-born player emerged through the academy ranks at the Rio-based club and quickly attracted admirers in European football.

His goals helped Porto achieve a league and cup double in Portugal last season though they couldn't advance from their Champions League group and subsequently went out of the Europa League to Lyon in the last-16.

Portuguese newspaper O Jogo say United could be tempted to return for the Brazilian striker

Dean Henderson closing in on Nottingham Forest loan move with Steve Cooper set to sign the Manchester United goalkeeper until the end of the season amid doubts over Brice Samba's future

* Nottingham Forest are on course to seal the loan capture of Dean Henderson
* The Man United goalkeeper is expected to join Forest until the end of the season
* Steve Cooper has moved for Henderson with Brice Samba's future in doubt

Nottingham Forest are on course to seal the loan capture of Dean Henderson from Manchester United this week.

The two clubs are finalising details of the agreement, which will be a straight season-long move, with all parties keen to get a deal tied up.

Forest moved for Henderson amid doubts over the future of promotion-winning goalkeeper Brice Samba.

Nottingham Forest are on course to seal the loan capture of Dean Henderson from Man United. Steve Cooper has moved for Henderson with Brice Samba's future at Forest in doubt

Samba, who is keen to return to France, is wanted by Lens and Nantes.

With his experience for club and country, landing England keeper Henderson would be a major coup for Forest ahead of their return to the Premier League.

Among his seasons of consistent football so far was a successful loan at Sheffield United when Henderson was central to their impressive 2019/20 campaign, their first back in the top flight after a lengthy absence and which ended with a ninth-placed finish.

He then returned to Old Trafford the following season and played a big part in Manchester United finishing second but is now on the verge of moving to the City Ground in order to secure more regular football.

Bukannya Evanilson ini golnya dikit yah di Liga Portugal, cuma 14
Di kompetisi Eropa juga ga punya gol kalo ga salah.
Dihargai mahal pula ama Porto
