Default Re: Paul Labile Pogba

Paul Pogba 'has told Manchester United he wants to join Real Madrid this summer after holding talks with senior club figures... with Red Devils prepared to let him leave for FREE' after failing to offer him new deal

* Midfielder Paul Pogba is out of contract at Manchester United in the summer
* The France international reportedly held talks with club chiefs some weeks ago
* In those discussions, it is claimed he told them of his desire to join Real Madrid
* United's record £89m signing is currently on a deal worth £295,000 per week

Paul Pogba has reportedly told Manchester United's hierarchy of his desire to join Real Madrid in the summer.

The France international is out of contract at Old Trafford in the summer and as yet has shown no sign of wanting to extend his stay.

Pogba trained for the first time in two and a half months on Monday following a thigh injury, and is set to play again early next month.

By then, United's record £89million signing will have less than five months left on his £295,000-a-week contract, and according to The Daily Star, he wants to link up with LaLiga leaders Real once his deal is up.

The report claims the midfielder - who joined from Juventus in 2016 - held talks with senior club figures several weeks ago in which he disclosed his intentions to move to Spain.

United meanwhile have reportedly not offered Pogba a new deal and are now willing to let him depart on a free transfer.

Interim boss Ralf Rangnick believes Pogba will nevertheless give his all for United until the end of the season — if only to secure a big-money move away this summer.

'By the way, my contract as a manager is also expiring in the summer,' said United's interim boss ahead of Wednesday's trip to Brentford.

Paul Pogba has reportedly told Manchester United's hierarchy of his desire to join Real Madrid. The Frenchman's preferred destination is reportedly a move to Carlo Ancelotti's LaLiga leaders. Ralf Rangnick believes Pogba will give his all for United until the end of the current season

'We have the same goal. We have the same ambition to be as successful as we can possibly be in the next three or four months.

'For me, it's not a question if a player has an expiring contract. The question is how much does he still want to be a part of this group? How much does he still feel emotionally and physically on board?

'As long as this is the case, why shouldn't Paul Pogba - now after two-and-half months of injury and fully fit again - also want to show up?

'He wants to show the fans of Manchester United, the board, the whole world what kind of player he can be. Even if it's only to show enough for a new contract elsewhere, he will be highly motivated to do that.

'Why should I then not play him? There is a difference of how players deal with their current situation. If they handle that in a professional way, of course I will play players although they have a contact expiring in the summer.'

Rangnick praised Pogba's performance levels in training, having previously disagreed with the fact that the player was recovering from his injury in Dubai rather than Carrington.

'He showed what an extraordinary player he could be,' added Rangnick. 'What I saw was very promising for the future. After the international break, I think he will be a serious candidate for the first XI.'

PSG are ready to tempt Paul Pogba with a MEGA-offer to join them on a free transfer, but the midfielder is happy to leave his future undecided until the summer… and has not ruled out staying at Manchester United

* Paul Pogba is ready to leave his future undecided until the end of the season
* Sportsmail understands the Frenchman has not ruled out staying at Man United
* His future remains uncertain heading into the final four months of his contract
* French giants PSG are understood to be among the clubs with a serious interest
* Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also monitoring Pogba's situation

Paris Saint-Germain are assembling a lucrative homecoming package to sign Paul Pogba on a free transfer this summer but the France star is ready to leave his future undecided until the end of the season.

And Pogba, Sportsmail understands, is not ruling out extending his stay at Manchester United.

The fit-again midfielder's future remains hugely uncertain heading into the final four months of his contract at Old Trafford.

Pogba is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with an overseas club but is yet to make a final decision on his future, instead focusing his attention on regaining full fitness following a long-term thigh injury.

And French giants PSG are understood to be among the clubs with a serious interest in taking Pogba on a Bosman deal ahead of next season.

If the World Cup winner leaves United on a free transfer this summer he will undoubtedly command a lucrative contract, which is likely to be the last major deal of his career.

And the Ligue 1 club's vast wealth means they are well-placed to launch a successful bid to bring Pogba back to France.

PSG are assembling a lucrative homecoming package to sign Paul Pogba on a free transfer. Yet Pogba, Sportsmail understands, is not ruling out extending his stay at Manchester United. French giants PSG are understood to be among the clubs with a serious interest in Pogba. PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino has been linked with United and Pogba may yet elect to stay

Despite his popularity in his homeland, Pogba has never played a senior domestic club game in France since leaving Le Havre for United's academy in 2009.

And while securing Pogba the player is of huge attraction to PSG, there is also a feeling that bringing the 28-year-old back to France would be of major benefit commercially, too.

However, sources close to the situation insist Pogba remains undecided on his next move and could even stay at United.

Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also monitoring Pogba's situation and are likely to make pre-contract offers.

But Pogba wants to thoroughly assess all the options, including a potential new deal at United, before deciding his future.

Having returned to action earlier this month, Pogba is likely to prove a crucial player for United between now and the summer and the midfielder does not want anything to detract from his focus on trying to secure a top-four finish for the club.

Paul Scholes claims Paul Pogba is the ONLY Manchester United player who would get into Liverpool's team despite heavily criticising the midfielder in the past... as the Frenchman is 'brilliant when he is on his game'

* Paul Scholes has given a surprising positive note about Man United's Paul Pogba
* Scholes claims Pogba is the only United player who could play for Liverpool
* The Frenchman has become a key player for Ralf Rangnick's United recently
* Scholes claims that the 28-year-old is 'brilliant' at the peak of his powers

Paul Scholes has claimed Paul Pogba is the only Manchester United player that would get into Liverpool's team after the Frenchman's recent return to form.

Pogba missed a large chunk of the current season due to a long-term hamstring problem picked up in November - but the Red Devils have remained unbeaten in the Premier League since he made his first-team return at the start of February.

The 28-year-old has one goal and one assist in his last four top-flight matches and impressed as Ralf Rangnick's United won at Leeds on Sunday, with Scholes hailing Pogba's unpredictability despite previous concerns about his work rate.

‘Pogba in his best form would (get into Liverpool's team),’ he told Premier League Productions. ‘He is indicative of what the club are doing. Every player is inconsistent. People running the club are inconsistent in what they are doing.

‘I have been a big critic of Paul, but if you are an opposing player going to Old Trafford and you are playing against Fred and McTominay - all day long.

'Now, you don’t know what you are going to get with Paul. But when he is on his game, he is brilliant.

Paul Scholes says Paul Pogba is the only Man United player who could play for Liverpool. Scholes has been extremely critical of the 28-year-old French midfielder in the past. Pogba has returned from injury to become a key player for Ralf Rangnick's United. United interim boss Rangnick (left) sees Pogba (right) as a leader in the United dressing room

‘But when he isn’t, then against your Liverpool and Man Citys, you might struggle in them areas. Where do Man United go next year to replace him?’

Pogba's contract expires at the end of the season, which would bring his second Old Trafford to an end just six years after he made a then-world record move from Juventus for £89million.

The Frenchman has become a major figure under interim boss Rangnick in recent weeks, with the German manager holding talks with Pogba and other United leaders - such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes - about how to rescue the club's season.

United's 4-2 win at Leeds on Sunday extended their lead over fifth-placed West Ham to four points, but Rangnick's side would fall out of the top-four should Arsenal win all of their games in hand.

Pogba and United know that their last chance of silverware lies with the Champions League, as the Red Devils prepare to face Atletico Madrid in Wednesday night's last-16 first-leg.

United last tasted a Premier League defeat on January 3 but their six-game unbeaten run has included draws with Aston Villa, Burnley and Southampton.

Paul Pogba reveals his house was burgled while his CHILDREN were at home during Manchester United's Champions League defeat by Atletico Madrid, as shaken France star offers reward for anyone with information on the five-minute raid

* Paul Pogba has revealed his house was burgled as he played for Manchester * United in the Champions League on Wednesday evening
* He revealed his two children were asleep in their bedrooms during the burglary
* The Frenchman took to social media to reveal the extent of the horrific incident
* Pogba, 29, is offering a reward for anyone who has more information

Manchester United star Paul Pogba has revealed his house was burgled while his two children were sleeping in their bedroom as he played in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The World Cup winning Frenchman took to social media on Wednesday to reveal his and his wife Zulay's 'worst nightmare' have been realised, with their sense of safety and security stripped from them.

Pogba, 29, has offered a reward to anyone who can provide him with information.

He wrote on social media: 'Last night our family's worst nightmare was realized when our home was broken into and burglarized while our babies were sleeping in their bedroom.

'The burglars were in our home for less than five minutes but in that time they took from us something more valuable than anything we had in our home... our sense of safety and security.

'This occurred during the final minutes of last night's match when they knew that we would not be home. My wife and I rushed home not knowing if our children were safe and unharmed.

Paul Pogba has confirmed his house was burgled while his children were asleep inside as he played for Manchester United in the Champions League on Wednesday evening. The midfielder has requested information on the incident, and says he is offering a reward

'As a father there is no feeling worse in this world than not being there to protect your children and I sincerely hope that no one ever has to feel what I felt last night.

'It is for this reason that I would like to offer a reward for anyone who has a clue to help us. Please send any info to rewardpogba@gmail.com.'

Pogba came off the bench for United in their 1-0 defeat against Atletico Madrid, with the incident at his home taking place towards the end of the game.

He and his wife then rushed back to the property, the player said.

International superstar Pogba has been married to Zulay, a model from Bolivia, since 2019, having met her a few years before on a pre-season tour.

It has been reported in the last few hours that United are now working with their players to review and strengthen the security at their houses.

Pogba's incident comes just a matter of months after team-mate Victor Lindelof suffered a break-in at his own home.

His wife Maja and young family were at the property during the incident back in January, but were mercifully not harmed.

Lindelof had played for United in their win over Brentford in the capital when the shocking moment unfolded.

'We can confirm that a break-in occurred at Victor Lindelof's house during the away game against Brentford,' a United statement said at the time.

Maja delved into the trauma she suffered as a result of the break-in

On Instagram, she wrote: 'During Victor's game this Wednesday night we had a break-in at our house in Manchester.

We are okay under the circumstances but it was obviously a very traumatic and scary moment for both me and my little kids. We are now in Sweden and are spending some time off with our families. Love, Maja.'

Pogba has been on the books at United since he re-joined the club for a then-world record fee of £89million, having left Juventus in 2016.

His contract at Old Trafford is set to run out this summer.

Paul Pogba reveals he suffered bouts of depression after falling out with Jose Mourinho at Manchester United and 'wanted to isolate himself', insisting he is 'just a human being, not a superhero'

* Paul Pogba has opened up about suffering mental health issues during career
* Manchester United midfielder said at times he just wanted to isolate himself
* He cited losing the vice-captaincy under Jose Mourinho as a starting point
* Pogba also spoke about the break-in at his house while he played last week

Paul Pogba claims that he was driven to depression by his fallout with Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.

Pogba was stripped of the vice-captaincy by Mourinho in September 2018 as their relationship turned sour, and he believes the situation led to mental health issues.

‘I’ve had depression in my career, but we don't talk about it,’ Pogba said in an interview with Le Figaro while on international duty with France.

‘Sometimes you don’t know you are, you just want to isolate yourself, be alone. These are unmistakable signs.

Paul Pogba says his mental health issues arrived when Jose Mourinho joined Man United. Pogba has now been speaking about suffering mental health problems during his career

‘Personally, it started when I was with Jose Mourinho at United. You ask yourself questions, you wonder if you are at fault because you have never experienced these moments in your life.

‘All top athletes go through these moments but few talk about it. Inevitably, you will feel it (depression) in your body, in your head, and you may have a month, even a year, where you are not well. But you don't have to say it. In any case publicly.

‘We earn a lot of money and we don't complain really, but that doesn't prevent us from going through moments that are more difficult than others, like everyone else in life.

Pogba was once filmed arguing with Mourinho during a United training session. Pogba said there have been times when he wanted to isolate himself away from team-mates. Pogba spoke about the break-in at his house that happened last week during a game

‘Because you make money, you always have to be happy? It's not like that, life. But, in football, it does not pass, we are however not superheroes, but only human beings.’

The 29-year-old midfielder also spoke about the burglary at his home last week, which occurred while he was playing as a substitute for United in the Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid.

Pogba and his wife Maria Zulay rushed away from Old Trafford after the game to be with their two young sons who were at home with their nanny during the break-in.

The Frenchman indicated that his winners’ medal from the 2018 World Cup has been stolen, saying: ‘When I went home, I discovered that my home was robbed following the entry of three people who stole my safe. There was my mother’s jewellery in there and my World Cup medal.

‘What scared me the most is that my two children were at home with the nanny during the incident. She heard everything, called my wife and security, then locked herself in a room with the boys.

‘For several days after, she was in shock. The most important thing is that my children are doing fine.’

'At Manchester United, do I really have a role?': Paul Pogba takes a step closer to leaving Old Trafford after admitting he has been left unfulfilled at the club... while claiming he has more confidence playing for France

* Paul Pogba is out of contract at Manchester United at the end of the season
* The midfielder has been linked with moves to PSG, Real Madrid and Juventus
* It is now very unlikely the 29-year-old will agree a new Old Trafford contract
* Pogba has not won a trophy at the club since lifting the Europa League in 2017
* The France international admits he plays in a preferred position for his country

Paul Pogba has moved a step closer to leaving Manchester United after declaring that the season is 'dead' and his last five years at Old Trafford have left him unfulfilled.

Pogba will become a free agent when his contract runs out on June 30, and the Frenchman is set to wait until then before deciding on his next move. He has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Juventus.

It is very unlikely that Pogba and United will agree new terms, but there is consternation in the 29-year-old midfielder's camp that he is to blame for the impasse that means he will leave Old Trafford for nothing for a second time.

United will finish the season empty-handed for the fifth year in a row and Pogba - who scored in the 2017 Europa League final when the club last lifted a trophy - says he wants to play for a team challenging for honours.

Paul Pogba has admitted he still does not understand his role at Manchester United. Pogba has not won silverware at Old Trafford since winning the 2017 Europa League

'You have to be honest, the last five seasons have not satisfied me - really not at all,' Pogba said in an interview with Le Figaro.

'This year it is dead. We won't win anything. Whether it is with Manchester United or at another club, I want to win trophies.'

Pogba though admits he can play with much more confidence when he is representing France

The World Cup winner also addressed the issue of why his form is better for France than United, claiming that he has a more clearly defined role for his country.

'It's simple,' added Pogba. 'With France, I play in my position. I know my role and I feel the confidence of the coach and the players.

'It's normal to feel a difference at United because it's hard to be consistent when you often have a change to your position or the team system or your partners.

'At United, do I really have a role? I ask the question but I don't have an answer.'

Paul Pogba delivered the final nail in the coffin of his Man United career after claiming he has been left unfulfilled at Old Trafford... Juventus and PSG are long-time admirers but Premier League suitors have emerged, so what should his next move be?

* Paul Pogba moved closer to leaving Man United after declaring season is 'dead'
* The 29-year-old added his last five years at Old Trafford have left him unfulfilled
* The France World Cup winner will become a free agent in the summer window
* He has plenty of suitors in England and abroad, so where should he punt for?

The final nail in the coffin ending Paul Pogba's career at Manchester United appears to have been hammered in this week after the Frenchman's revealed all is not well in an all-tell interview in France.

The 29-year-old appeared to finally hand in his resignation at Manchester United after labelling their season as 'dead', while adding his last five years at Old Trafford have left him unfulfilled.

Pogba's comments have taken on greater significance given that he is due to become a free agent when his contract runs out on June 30.

Sportsmail understand while it is very unlikely Pogba and United will agree new terms, the Frenchman is set to wait until then before deciding on his next move.

Unsurprisingly for a World Cup winner - who revealed his 2018 winner's medal was among items stolen when his home was burgled last week - there are no shortage of suitors.

He has been heavily linked with Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Juventus ever since doubts over his long-term future at Old Trafford began being called into question.

But recent reports suggest two Premier League clubs - reportedly Newcastle and Aston Villa - have been in touch with his representatives over a summer move.

Paul Pogba moved a step closer to leaving Man United after saying his time at club has left him unfulfilled. Pogba's contract with Ralf Rangnick's men runs out in the summer and suitors are circling

So what should Pogba do next with the current options available to him? And where does he fit at the clubs interested in him?

Let's start at Juventus, the club that sold the France midfielder for £89million back in 2016, and that even under Max Allegri have struggled to find an effective midfield combination.

Despite the summer arrival of Manuel Locatelli and January addition of Denis Zakaria, many believe the centre of the pitch remains a problem area in need of solutions given their profligacy and the lack of balance they offer the side.

But in purely numerical terms, Pogba may well fit straight back in at the Allianz Stadium.

Arthur and Adrien Rabiot's futures look to be away from Turin, with the former heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in January while the latter's contract expires next year.

In a more advanced role, a club chief has confirmed Paulo Dybala will leave on a free this summer after not being offered a new deal. There are therefore certainly enough potential departures for Pogba to be brought back.

And while the Frenchman's status at Old Trafford is arguably at an all-time nadir, his stock at Juventus remains high, having been key in Allegri's side who dominated Serie A and reached the Champions League final in 2015.

Allegri would not be drawn on whether Juventus would make a move, joking: 'It's true that I had a great relationship with him, but he's angry with me because I always beat him at basketball!'

The only doubt remains is how well he would fit into a three-man midfield Allegri tends to employ in more important matches, and whether the Italian could turn Pogba back into the player he was in his first Juventus spell.

Real Madrid could also be in line for a midfield shake-up of their own given the nature of their ageing options in terms of 36-year-old Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, 32.

The 29-year-old Frenchman is set to wait until then before deciding on his next move

Casemiro also entered his thirties last month, and while Eduardo Camavinga and Federico Valverde provide younger options, it is still an area which needs rejuvenating, despite Carlo Ancelotti's apparent reluctance to blood some academy talent in the area.

However, it was former boss Zinedine Zidane who was believed to be a huge pull for Pogba and the fact the France legend is no longer at the Santiago Bernabeu will have lessened their chances somewhat.

Pogba will also turn 30 next year and given the age of midfielder they have been looking at - such as his 22-year-old France team-mate Aurelien Tchouameni - his profile appears less appealing.

Depending on the futures of their elder midfield statesmen, Ancelotti could look to persist with a three-man system in the centre of the park, and Pogba's adaptability could also been called into question there.

Of the European giants, that leaves PSG, who are facing all sorts of uncertainty among the coaching and playing staff, most notably Mauricio Pochettino and Kylian Mbappe.

The France forward confessed earlier this week to Pogba he's 'fed up' at PSG after the Man United midfielder asked how things have been going, which would hardly have been a vote of confidence for the French giants.

Managerial uncertainty could see Zidane take over at the club, which would no doubt boost chances of him arriving at the Parc des Princes. What is certain is that PSG's midfield is far from set.

Marco Verratti is a guaranteed starter under whoever is in charge come August but there are still doubts about Idrissa Gueye's ability on the ball and the lack of versatility among all their options.

Pogba could certainly resolve the former with Gueye's skills often overlapping with Verratti's, but whether PSG fans would have the patience to allow Pogba to settle given their recent ire towards Lionel Messi and Neymar is another matter.

Danilo Pereira has also started to hit form at the right time this season and is starting to become the dominant midfielder that caught the eye at Porto.

Remaining in the Premier League could well be an alternative, though Aston Villa would unlikely be able to afford his wages or offer the trophy-winning project Pogba is clearly seeking.

Newcastle's Saudi owners certainly do possess the financial power to offer the Frenchman a lucrative contract, and Manchester City and Chelsea have proven such models relying heavily on owners' investment to bring about success can work.

But the Magpies may be at least a couple of years away from challenging Liverpool and City for the Premier League, and age is not on Pogba's side so it remains to be seen if he could be convinced to sign for a team where silverware is as close to guaranteed as possible.

However unlikely it seems, Pogba staying at Old Trafford cannot be 100 per cent ruled out but he has already detailed the reasons for his disillusionment.

From questioning Ralf Rangnick's stewardship, a lack of trophies and revealing that he suffered from bouts of depression under Jose Mourinho , the writing does appear on the wall for a player who is in the final few months of his current contract.

His next move will be followed closely followed by all, but it is appears this week has marked the start of one of what will likely be among the biggest moves this summer.

Default Re: Paul Labile Pogba

'Nothing is decided': Paul Pogba remains coy over his future after hinting he will leave Man United at the end of the season - as he bemoans not fighting for trophies and says playing for France 'helps me regain energy and confidence'

* Paul Pogba is frustrated with Manchester United's lack of trophies this term
* The Frenchman is out of contract in the summer and now looks certain to leave
* He has remained coy about his future plans but insists he wants to win titles
* However, Pogba insists he is focused on finishing this season with United 'well'

Paul Pogba has underlined he has still to decide his next move despite expectation he will leave Manchester United as a free agent this summer.

Pogba, who at 29 became the youngest player to reach 90 caps for France on Friday, said: 'Nothing is decided on my future, nothing is done. I can decide tomorrow, just as I can decide during the transfer window. I want to bounce back and finish the season well.'

Paris St Germain and Juventus are among the clubs keen on Pogba but whether they can offer the wages he wants will be decisive, while remaining at United has yet to be ruled out.

Pogba though has been frustrated during his time at United, failing to compete for the titles he had envisaged when re-joining the club from Juventus for £89m in 2016.

Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba says he is yet to make a decision over his future. Pogba became the youngest player to reach 90 caps for France on Friday at 29 years old

He has struggled to hide his disappointment at United's results and told French TV programme Telefoot: 'The season is not over yet, but almost because we don't have any more titles to play for.

'I want to win titles, to play for something and this year and the last few years we haven't won a title. It's sad.

'Totally [playing for France is a breath of fresh air]. That's the truth. There were difficult moments at United and I needed this break to regain my energy and confidence.

'Sometimes when I wasn't playing or the results weren't good, coming here, it gives a boost, a breath of air that also helps me to come back well to my club.'

Pogba is one of five players out of contract with United this summer. Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Edinson Cavani are all preparing to join new clubs while goalkeeper Lee Grant could be offered a coaching role.

The midfielder has been frustrated during his time at United and says he wants to play for titles. Paris Saint-Germain are believed to be interested in signing Pogba for free this summer

United are continuing the process of finding a new manager and that choice will also have a bearing on the decisions of those players.

Ajax boss Erik ten Hag, 52, has been interviewed and is awaiting an offer amid interest from other clubs in England and Germany with Borussia Dortmund understood to be one.

Paris St Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino, 50, remains a popular candidate among United's playing squad.

Juventus 'can only afford to offer Paul Pogba £8m-a-season' in their efforts to sign him on a free transfer from Manchester United... almost HALF his current wage at Old Trafford

* Paul Pogba is expected to leave Manchester United when his contract expires
* The Frenchman is frustrated with United's lack of trophies this term
* Pogba could return to former club Juventus but will need to take a pay cut
* Juventus are only able to offer Pogba just over half of his current wage

Paul Pogba will have to take a significant pay cut if he wants to join Juventus from Manchester United when his contract at Old Trafford expires in the summer, according to reports.

Pogba is still to decide his next move but it is thought he will leave United, with Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain among the clubs keen to sign the 29-year-old.

The Italian side, however, are facing a potential stumbling block as they are reportedly only able to offer the Frenchman £8million a season - just over half of his current £15m wage at Old Trafford.

According to Calciomercato, Juventus cannot afford his full salary - despite getting Cristiano Ronaldo off their wage bill and opting not to renew Paulo Dybala's deal when it expires in the summer.

Paul Pogba is frustrated with life at Old Trafford and is expected to leave United in the summer. The Frenchman's contract situation at United has caught the attention of several clubs. Pogba left Juventus in 2016 to rejoin United but has endured a difficult time at Old Trafford

But the Italian website reported Juve are hopeful of re-signing Pogba if he lowers his terms.

While remaining at United has yet to be ruled out, Pogba has been frustrated during his time in Manchester, failing to compete for the titles he had envisaged when re-joining the club from Juventus for £89m in 2016.

Pogba appeared to finally hand in his resignation at Manchester United after labelling their season as 'dead' in an interview with French newspaper Le Figaro, while adding his last five years at Old Trafford have left him unfulfilled.

He has struggled to hide his disappointment at United's results and told French TV programme Telefoot this week: 'The season is not over yet, but almost because we don't have any more titles to play for.

'I want to win titles, to play for something and this year and the last few years we haven't won a title. It's sad.'

Pogba's stock at Juventus remains high, having been key in Max Allegri's side who dominated Serie A and reached the Champions League final in 2015.

He scored 34 goals and made 40 assists during his time at Juve, where he won four league titles.

Wayne Rooney tells Paul Pogba to 'move on' from Man United this summer, as he claims the midfielder is a 'completely different player for France'... and club legend admits that Cristiano Ronaldo's return to Old Trafford has NOT worked out

* Midfielder Paul Pogba is out of contract at Manchester United this summer
* Wayne Rooney thinks it is time for him to leave the club at the end of the season

Wayne Rooney thinks Paul Pogba should leave Manchester United for the second time this summer.

Pogba departed Old Trafford in 2012 as a teenager before returning to the club three years later.

He has been unable to turn United into consistent title contenders, though, and Rooney believes the Frenchman ought to look for a new club when his contract expires in June.

'I think it’s probably got to a point where it probably is better for him to move on,' Rooney told Sky Sports.

'I think if Paul is honest with himself, he probably hasn’t had the impact he would have liked since he returned to Manchester United.

'I watch him play for France, and it’s a completely different player. The ability, his vision, control of the game is there every game for France. It just hasn’t quite worked at Manchester United for him.'

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo is also back at United for his second spell at the club, having rejoined from Juventus last summer.

Wayne Rooney believes Paul Pogba should move on from Manchester United this summer. Midfielder Pogba is out of contract in June, and could look for a new club ahead of next season

Assessing Ronaldo's impact since he returned to England, Rooney conceded that the move has failed to pay off for the Red Devils.

'You'd have to say no,' Rooney said, when asked if Ronaldo coming back to the Premier League had benefitted United.

'He’s scored, he’s scored important goals in the Champions League games early on in the season. He scored the hat-trick against Tottenham.

'But I think if you’re looking to the future of the club, you have to go with younger, hungry players to do their best to lift Manchester United over these next two or three years.'
