Chelsea confirm Antonio Conte as manager on a three-year contract, with the Italy boss taking over after Euro 2016
* Antonio Conte has signed a three-year deal to become Chelsea boss * He will arrive at Stamford Bridge after Italy's campaign at Euro 2016 * Conte says he is 'very excited' about working as Chelsea manager Chelsea have confirmed that Antonio Conte will take over as manager after Italy's Euro 2016 campaign, signing a three-year contract. Conte, whose deal is worth £4.75million a year after tax, said: 'I am very excited about the prospect of working at Chelsea football club. I am proud to be the coach of the national team of my country and only a role as attractive as manager of Chelsea could follow that. 'I am looking forward to meeting everyone at the club and the day-to-day challenge of competing in the Premier League. 'Chelsea and English football are watched wherever you go, the fans are passionate and my ambition is to have more success to follow the victories I enjoyed in Italy. 'I am happy we have made the announcement now so everything is clear and we can end the speculation. I will continue to focus on my job with the Italian national team and will reserve speaking about Chelsea again until after the Euros.’ Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia heralded the appointment, claiming it allows the club to look ahead to next season under Conte's guidance. 'We are very pleased to have recruited one of the most highly regarded managers in world football and we are equally pleased to do so before the end of the current season,' Granovskaia said. 'This aids our future planning.' A summer of upheaval is seemingly inevitable in west London, with the current Premier League holders languishing 10th with 45 points. Chelsea have confirmed that Antonio Conte will take over as manager on a three-year contract Quote:
Guus Hiddink came in with Chelsea 16th and while he has guided the club away from the relegation zone, this season will end trophyless. The 46-year-old Conte has been Italy manager since 2014, following Cesare Prandelli's resignation after Italy crashed out the World Cup in Brazil alongside England in Group D. He has guided Italy to Euro 2016 with an undefeated record in qualifying and they will face Belgium, Ireland and Sweden in the initial group stages. Prior to taking up a role on the international stage, Conte managed Juventus for three seasons, winning Serie A every year. He won 83 out of 114 league games with Juventus, losing only seven. His side set a record of scoring in 43 consecutive Serie A matches from February 2013 until March 2014. In his playing career, Conte was a midfielder who made over 400 appearances for Juventus from 1991, joining from Lecce, until 2004. He won Serie A five times and also lifted the Champions League in 1996, as well as making 20 appearances for the Italian national side. Code:

Re: Chelsea - News and Rumors
Chelsea close in on £60m-a-year kit deal with Nike after ending adidas partnership six years early
* Chelsea's current kit partnership with adidas will end after next season * The Blues will earn double the amount per annum with adidas' rivals Nike * Nike deal will be worth £60million, while adidas currently pay £30m Chelsea are set to sign a kit sponsorship contract with Nike worth £60million-per-year in what will be the second biggest deal in the Premier League. The Blues announced earlier this month that they are parting company with adidas at the end of next season, after the pair decided to terminate their current deal six years early. Adidas' shirt deal was worth £30million annually - a figure that will be doubled by their American sportswear rivals, despite the fact Chelsea won't be competing in Europe next season. Chelsea are set to agree a £60million-per-year kit deal with Nike which will begin at the 2017-18 season As revealed by Sportsmail, Chelsea and adidas' split is said to be by mutual consent but talks were instigated by the former for some time. The west London outfit had grown increasingly annoyed by the way German company have been concentrating on Manchester United, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Juventus, and on signing new players. And the financial gain of Nike's deal will increase Chelsea's leeway in regards to Financial Fair Play too. UEFA's monetary model is calculated over a three-year period with clubs currently allowed to spend around £23m more than they earn for the 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons. Chelsea's failure to qualify for the Champions League will cost upwards of £40m, a figure that won't hinder them severely now with the incoming Nike deal as well as the imminent extra revenue that will be sustained from the Premier League's bumper TV deal. Chelsea's new deal with Nike will be significantly more per year than the latter's with Manchester City (£12m) and Arsenal's agreement with Puma (£30m). However, it is still below Manchester United's staggering 10-year £75m-per-season contract with adidas, which came into effect this term. Quote:
Manchester United boast the biggest lucrative shirt deal in England - earning £75m-a-year from adidas Code:

Re: Chelsea - News and Rumors
Chelsea announce new 15-year £900m kit deal from next season with Nike after ending adidas partnership
* Chelsea have agreed a new long-term kit deal with Nike from 2017-18 * Chelsea's kit partnership with adidas was due to end at end of the season * The Blues will earn double the amount per annum with adidas' rivals Nike * Nike deal is worth £60million, while adidas currently pay £30m * It represents the largest commercial deal in the club's history Chelsea have signed an astonishing new kit deal worth £900million over 15 seasons. The £60m-a-year tie-up with Nike, which starts next season, is worth double the annual amount paid by their current kit supplier adidas. Nike officially announced their new shirt supply agreement with Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich-owned Chelsea on Thursday. Chelsea have agreed a £60m-per-year kit deal with Nike which will begin next season The only larger football clothing supply contracts are Barcelona’s deal with Nike and Adidas’s contract with Real Madrid, both signed in the summer and reportedly each worth £100m over 10 years. The annual price Nike are paying Chelsea is also less than the £75m-a-year their Manchester United contract costs them. But that is again a mere 10-year partnership compared with the ground-breaking length of the Chelsea tie-up until 2032. No wonder Chelsea paid £40m to exit their current adidas contract, worth £30m-a-year, six years early. The mega-money Nike arrangement comes into effect from the start of next season. By then Chelsea might have been playing their home matches at Wembley along with Tottenham, who are also switching to Nike shirts next season but for a considerably-lower £25m-a-year. But the highly complex planning for the new stadium means any temporary re-location from Stamford Bridge has been delayed by at least one year. Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia, Abramovich’s closest aide, who played a major role in the negotiations, said: ‘This is an incredibly exciting and important deal. Like Chelsea, Nike is known around the world for its excellence and innovation and we look forward to working together in what is sure to be a successful partnership.’ Sportsmail first broke news of Chelsea buying out their adidas contract and signing up with Nike in May. But the official announcement was delayed until Thursday. Code:
