Jan Oblak ‘favours Manchester United move’ as he looks for summer exit away from Atletico Madrid after broken promises over his future

* Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak is interested in joining Manchester United
* Oblak signed a new deal in April but is frustrated by Atletico's lack of ambition
* The 26-year-old could replace David de Gea, who has been linked with PSG

Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak wants to leave the club this summer and is interested in a move to Manchester United.

Oblak has concerns regarding Atletico's competitiveness, with Antoine Griezmann poised to leave and other prominent players, such as Diego Godin, Lucas Hernandez, Filipe Luis and Juanfran, also set to move on.

As reported by ESPN, Oblak, who supported United as a youngster, wants to make the switch to Old Trafford if he does leave Atletico, with the fact that the Red Devils won't be in the Champions League next season not a concern.

Oblak signed a contract extension with Atletico in April, with his deal running until the summer of 2023.

However, United could still press ahead in their attempt to sign Oblak, with uncertainty remaining over David de Gea's future.

De Gea, who has one year left on his contract at United, has been heavily linked with a move to PSG.

Oblak joined Atletico from Benfica in 2014 and over the past few seasons has established himself as one of the standout goalkeepers in world football.

Last season Oblak kept 20 clean sheets in 37 La Liga appearances, with Atletico finishing in second place behind Barcelona.

walaupun bermain di UCL musim depan, namun Atletico kehilangan bbrp pemain bintangnya, mending Oblak pindah ke United karena pasti langsung jadi kiper utama menggantikan De Gea (kalo jadi pindah)

Manchester United 'will move for Ajax’s £40m-rated keeper' Andre Onana if David De Gea opts to make PSG move this summer

* Manchester United see Andre Onana as a possible replacement for David De Gea
* The 23-year-old Ajax goalkeeper is believed to be worth around £40million
* David De Gea is thought to have his heart set on leaving United next summer
* Atletico Madrid keeper Jan Oblak has expressed his desire to join the Red Devils

Manchester United have targeted Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana as a replacement for David De Gea should the Spaniard decide to leave this summer.

The current Red Devils goalkeeper is in the final year of his current contract and has rebuffed an improved offer to remain at Manchester United beyond 2020.

The club's philosophy had been to allow De Gea to leave for free when his contract expires, but a turbulent end to the season has encouraged directors to consider offloading the shot-stopper.

According to The Sun, United have been impressed by Onana's season, with the 23 year-old leading Ajax to the Champions League semi-final.

The Cameroon international is valued at around £40 million by the Red Devils and is seen as a prudent investment.

Onana in kept 20 clean sheets in 46 Ajax appearances in the 2018-19 campaign.

Oblak lebih teruji tapi harganya lebih karena sudah perpanjang kontrak, tapi Onana oke juga. kalo beneran pindah, habis tuh pemain Ajax, dari de Jong, trus de Ligt, Onana, Ziyech, van de Beek diincar klub gede. kenapa gak Blind aja sekalian dibeli lagi?

Siapkan Kontrak Baru, MU Bakal Naikkan Gaji De Gea?
Novitasari Dewi Salusi - detikSport

Manchester - Manchester United melanjutkan upayanya untuk mempertahankan David de Gea. MU kabarnya siap mengajukan penawaran baru soal perpanjangan kontrak.

Can Sergio Romero FINALLY oust David de Gea as Manchester United's No 1? He's the best back-up keeper in the Premier League and fans want him to play, while his rival is in an alarming slump... and now he's set for his big chance against City

* David de Gea has made six mistakes leading to goals since start of last season
* Sergio Romero has performed superbly whenever he's given an opportunity
* Argentine should play for Manchester United in EFL Cup against rivals City
* He is piling on the pressure for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to make him No 1 at last
* Romero has kept a remarkable 33 clean sheets in 52 games for United

There was a time when to suggest David de Gea should be dropped would be considered sacrilege by Manchester United fans.

Not long ago the Spaniard could lay claim to being among world's best goalkeepers and was voted the club's player of the year in four out of the last six seasons.

But his rate of decline over the last season or so has been alarming. On Tuesday night in the EFL Cup semi-final against Manchester City, Sergio Romero may be given the chance to crank up the pressure on United's No 1.

Since the start of last season, De Gea has made six mistakes directly leading to opposition goals.

The howlers keep on coming, most recently against Watford when he allowed a tame effort from Ismaila Sarr to inexplicably slip through his fingers.

In the previous Premier League game, against Everton, he flapped at a cross, missing the ball which ricocheted in for an own goal. These two high-profile errors were more than an unfortunate coincidence. They continue a pattern of costly mistakes over two seasons.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has never hinted at dropping the 29-year-old but if the slump continues, may be forced into making one of the biggest calls of his managerial career.

The pressure ratchets up further when considering Romero's claim to the position. Whenever the No 2 has come into the side, he's acquitted himself superbly.

De Gea flapped at a cross under pressure which led to an own goal against Everton

The Argentina international has kept 33 clean sheets in 52 games for United during his time at the club, an undeniably impressive record.

Granted, a number of those outings have come against inferior opposition in cup competitions - he is the unofficial No 1 goalkeeper in domestic knockout games - but the 32-year-old cannot do much more to further his case.

Since August 2017, a solid sample size over two-and-a-half seasons, his statistics eclipse De Gea's in a number of important areas.

In terms of goals conceded per minute, the Spaniard averaged a goal conceded every 84 minutes.

By contrast, Romero's is far more stingy, with the No 2 letting one in on average once every 177 minutes.

Romero has a fantastic record of keeping clean sheets when given the chance to play. The Argentine made a fantastic stop from Matt Doherty among other saves against Wolves

Romero's save percentage is also significantly higher at 85.2 compared with De Gea's 73.8 per cent.

Clearly the number of games played for De Gea is significantly larger but one crucial category where he comes out second best is the errors leading to goals measure.

The No 1 has seven in his last 115 matches and Romero has not made a mistake leading to United conceding in 24 games during the same time frame.

With 96 Argentina caps to his name, it's clear that Romero is the finest back-up keeper in the Premier League, so with De Gea looking so wobbly, he will think this is the best opportunity to break into the first team.

Solskjaer recently acknowledged the Argentine's classy performances in saying: 'He has not played enough, for his liking, but whenever he has been called upon he has always produced.'

Indeed, Romero was man of the match in United's FA Cup stalemate against Wolves at the weekend.

His form seems to be on the up, whereas De Gea is stuck in reverse. Speculation abounds as to why the the former Atletico Madrid man has not lived up to his former standards.

One possible reason is that his goalkeeping coach, friend and long-time mentor Emiliano Alvarez left the club in September. The Athletic reported that Alvarez was axed because their friendly relationship meant sessions were not as 'rigorous' as they needed to be.

But his dismissal does not seem to have had the desired effect.

De Gea will be looking over his shoulder with some real concern about Romero now, and Sheffield United's Dean Henderson will offer more competition when he returns from his loan at Bramall Lane.

Romero is considered by many to be the best No 2 goalkeeper in the Premier League

A number of fans on social media have called for De Gea to be benched in the Premier League in light of his poor form.

One wrote that Romero is now 'far better' and another posted that the Spaniard needs to work hard to come back.

Another added that De Gea 'has not been very good for a year' so should no longer be the No 1.

Solskjaer might yet hand De Gea a chance to impress again in what is United's biggest game of the season so far.

But if as expected Romero starts in goal against City on Tuesday night, he could create a serious dilemma for Solskjaer with another big performance and those voices calling for a change would grow louder and louder still.

Manchester United to wait until April before nailing down plans for next season's No 1 goalkeeper with Dean Henderson pushing his claim and David de Gea's future undecided

* Dean Henderson has been exceptional on loan at Sheffield United this season
* David de Gea has made a number of big mistakes for Manchester United in goal
* Spaniard could also be subject of renewed interest from PSG this summer
* United want to finalise their plans for next season's goalkeeper in April

Manchester United will wait until April to finalise their goalkeeping plans for next season.

United have a number of senior keepers on their books and situations to resolve ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

Top of the list will be their No 1 spot with Dean Henderson pushing his claims for a return to Old Trafford, along with a place in England’s Euro 2020 squad, with his excellent displays during his loan spell at Sheffield United in the Premier League.

Dean Henderson is pushing his claim to take the No 1 spot at Manchester United next season. Henderson was imperious against Manchester City despite the blades suffering a narrow loss

Henderson has been earmarked by club staff as a future first choice goalkeeper by United, a role currently occupied by David de Gea.

Henderson has starred on loan at Bramall Lane once again this term, having helped inspire them to promotion from the Championship last year, and Blades boss Chris Wilder is keen to have him again next season.

There is understood to be surprise about suggestions, following Henderson’s standout display against Manchester City on Tuesday, that talks have been held between the clubs about a third season-long loan spell for the 22 year-old, though, with United not due to make a decision on their plans until closer to the end of the season.

David de Gea has a long-term contract but his form has been patchy and PSG could be keen. De Gea is still highly thought of and United could have a big decision to make in April

Blades boss Wilder has revealed that Henderson is unlikely to accept a back-up job if he is to return to Old Trafford.

Wilder said: ‘He [Henderson] wants to play first team football. Maybe I shouldn’t be saying this, but I’m not so sure he’ll play back up to anybody. Just the character of the boy. Maybe he will come out and say it.’

Whether he plays first team football at United next season, much of that will hinge on De Gea.

He signed a new four-year deal in September which also includes an option to extend it until 2024.

However, he has been the subject of interest from abroad in the past, including Paris Saint-Germain last summer, and United will have a decision to make should any of his suitors return.

Current second choice Sergio Romero is tied down until 2021 with an option of another year while third choice Lee Grant’s deal expires this summer, creating a gap in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s senior pool of goalkeepers if he does not sign an extension.

Behind them United have a number of younger goalkeepers, including Joel Pereira, Kieran O’Hara, Alex Fojticek and Matej Kovar, and the next stage of their development paths will also need to be mapped out.

Manchester United 'at risk of losing TWO goalkeepers in the summer with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer planning for Sergio Romero and Lee Grant's exits'

* Sergio Romero is reported to want to leave Manchester United in the summer
* Lee Grant is also expected to leave when his contract expires at end of season
* United are already making plans over how to deal with both players leaving

Manchester United could lose two of their goalkeepers in the summer and are already eyeing replacements, according to reports.

The Old Trafford side believe backup stopper Sergio Romero will leave and there is also an expectation that he will be followed out of the exit door by third-choice Lee Grant.

According to the Sun, the Argentinian goalkeeper is hoping to hold talks this month about his future at United.

Manchester United believe backup stopper Sergio Romero will leave in the summer

here is also a belief Lee Grant will leave United when his contract expires after this season

Romero will have a year left on his deal in the summer but the 32-year-old is keen to play first-team football.

Villarreal and Real Sociedad have already spoken to his agents, while a number of other European sides are thought to be keen.

He is on around £60,000-a-week at United and his club do have the option to extend his contract by another 12 months.

Grant, meanwhile, is out of contract in the summer and there have been no talks to extend his stay.

The 37-year-old has made just two first-team appearances in nearly two years at Old Trafford.

No decision has been made over whether Dean Henderson should be brought back amid a successful season on loan at Sheffield United. He spent the previous campaign at Bramall Lane too.

United are thought to be looking into targets already to deal with the likely departures.

Manajemen kan susah kalau diminta beli pemain baru (apalagi beli kiper ternama) jadi mungkin Romero nanti yang diplot menggantikan De Gea. Jika memang terjadi, kemungkinan Grant dipertahankan jadi kiper cadangan bergantian dengan kiper-kiper muda United lainnya
