Memang tidak jodoh...

Andai David Moyes Tak Dipecat, MU Sudah Punya Toni Kroos
Redzi Arya Pratama - detikSport

Stoke target David Moyes to replace under-pressure boss Gary Rowett after a disappointing start to the season

* Stoke have won just eight out of their 26 Championship games this season
* The club are 14th in the table and pressure is mounting on boss Gary Rowett
* David Moyes is available, having been out of work since leaving West Ham

Gary Rowett is clinging to his job as Stoke manager with David Moyes being lined up as a potential successor.

Stoke's board recruited Rowett last summer with the hope he would bring energy to a squad that had been relegated but things have not gone to plan since he left Derby County.

A 2-0 defeat at the Bet365 Stadium to Bristol City on New Year's Day saw large sections of the home support turn on Rowett and it has left them in 14th position, eight points off the play-off places.

Gary Rowett is clinging to his job as Stoke manager after eight wins in 26 league matches. David Moyes, who is readily available, is being lined up as a potential successor at Stoke

The big problem for Rowett is that he has only overseen eight wins in 26 matches.

Stoke face Shrewsbury in the FA Cup third round this weekend and the hierarchy must decide whether to keep faith in Rowett, who had a huge challenge to clear the dressing room of players who were not up to standard, or make their fourth managerial change in 12 months.

Moyes is readily available, having been out of work since leaving West Ham at the end of last season.

Stoke enquired about the Scot last January, after they sacked Mark Hughes, and he was also considered when Paul Lambert left in May, having failed to save them from relegation. He is also well known to Tony Scholes, Stoke's Chief Executive.

David Moyes is a contender to become Celtic manager should Brendan Rodgers depart Parkhead

* Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is Leicester's target to replace sacked Claude Puel

David Moyes is a contender to become Celtic manager should Brendan Rodgers depart Parkhead, Sportsmail understands.

Celtic have tried to lure Moyes to Scotland before but could make a renewed approach if Rodgers leaves for Leicester.

It is believed the 55-year-old, who has been out of work since leaving West Ham last summer, would now be interested in the post.

David Moyes is a contender to become Celtic manager should Brendan Rodgers depart. Rodgers has become Leicester's main target to replace the sacked Claude Puel

Moyes was born in Glasgow and played as a centre-half for Celtic between 1980 to 1983.

He was said to have ruled himself out of the Stoke job after Gary Rowett's dismissal in order to wait for a higher-profile opportunity.

Celtic would have other options, and the future of Rodgers has not been decided in any case, but sources say it is an appealing possibility for both parties.

'Scotland's my country and I'm really passionate': David Moyes interested in national team job but admits return to club management is his priority

* David Moyes has revealed an interest in the Scotland manager's position
* Pressure is mounting on Alex McLeish after a 3-0 humiliation at Kazakhstan
* Moyes has been out of work since leaving West Ham United in May last year

Former Manchester United boss David Moyes has declared his interest in the Scotland job but said his preference is a return to club management.

Scotland manager Alex McLeish has come in for heavy criticism after his team's 3-0 defeat by Kazakhstan in their opening Euro 2020 qualifier last Thursday.

Moyes has been out of work since retaining West Ham United's Premier League status in a six-month spell, which ended in May last year, and remains keen to rebuild his reputation after unsuccessful stints at United, Real Sociedad and Sunderland.

'Club football would be my choice, but Scotland's my country and I'm really passionate,' Moyes told the BBC.

With McLeish's Scotland booed off the pitch after Sunday's unconvincing 2-0 win over San Marino, Moyes believes it is time for the national team to work with the Scottish Premiership on raising standings of youth development in the country.

'The Scotland job is difficult for anybody because there's great expectation,' the 55-year-old Scot added. 'I don't think there's any one way we can fix it. I don't have all the answers, but I've got some ideas and thoughts.

David Moyes has said he would be interested in the Scotland job if it was to become available. Pressure is mounting on Alex McLeish after the nation were humbled by Kazakhstan recently. Moyes has been out of work since May last year when he steered West Ham away from the drop

'There are many things we're not doing in Scotland, we've chosen to bring in lots of foreign players, and cheap foreign players, and maybe a lot of the young Scottish players are not getting the opportunities.

'We need to see if we can find a solution to develop more players, but we're not going to do it in two or four years, it's a 10 or 15-year plan.'

Moyes has also been linked with the Celtic job by the British media but the former Everton boss expects caretaker manager Neil Lennon to take the role permanently at Parkhead.

'I would always be interested, but Lenny's done a brilliant job. He's been there before and the job he's doing at the moment would warrant being the Celtic manager,' Moyes said.

Moyes memang legend

Moyes: Man United Tak Banyak Berkembang Sejak Saya Dipecat
Redzi Arya Pratama - detikSport

Manchester - Manchester United masih kesulitan jadi penantang juara Liga Inggris. Disebut David Moyes, The Red Devils tak banyak mengalami kemajuan sejak dia dipecat.

Faktanya, dalam lima tahun terakhir The Red Devils gagal menjadi pesaing juara Liga Inggris.

Meski gagal bersaing jadi juara Liga Inggris, MU pascaFerguson berhasil memenangi beberapa trofi.

'For a while it would be difficult to know what direction United have gone in': Ex-Man United boss David Moyes says transfer strategy has hindered club since Sir Alex Ferguson retired

* David Moyes criticism random nature of transfer dealings at Manchester United
* He questioned whether they had gone for marketability or or performance
* Scot thinks that policy should be encouraging youth with occasional big name

David Moyes has taken aim at Manchester United's incoherent transfer strategy over the past few seasons.

The Scot, who was in charge in the 2013-14 season, believes there has been a lack of direction in the market since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.

He told the Mirror: 'For a while it would be difficult to know what direction United have gone in.

'Whether they have been signing players for marketing, which they are fantastic at, or whether it has been signing players for on the pitch, I am not quite sure.

'Manchester United's values weren't always to buy the most expensive players but to do it their way which was bringing in the boys from the academy and picking up the best young players.

'I never thought they were a club who thought it was all about spending the money, but if they needed to, they could.'

Moyes succeeded Ferguson at Old Trafford but was sacked just ten months into his reign.

David Moyes hit out at the Manchester United transfer strategy since Sir Alex Ferguson retired. Moyes was sacked from his role as United manager just 10 months into his stewardship

Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho were also dismissed from their posts despite a combined total of £620million spent on players between them.

And it seems that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is lining up more big money moves in the transfer window.

Bruno Fernandes appears to be on the brink of a £56m transfer from Sporting Lisbon.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Harry Maguire are also targets and would command large fees this summer from Lazio and Leicester respectively.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has already joined for £50m and former Swansea winger Dan James for £15m.

Beckham Inter Moyes? Ex-Manchester United boss on Miami owner's shortlist to become upcoming MLS side's first-ever manager

* David Moyes is one of a number of well-known names linked with Inter Miami
* Carlo Ancelotti, Thierry Henry and Gennaro Gattuso have also been mooted
* David Beckham's new franchise will join Major League Soccer next year
* The club signed their first players from Argentina just two weeks ago

Former Manchester United manager David Moyes is being touted to take charge of Inter Miami in 2020, the new MLS franchise owned by David Beckham.

Moyes has been out of work since his contract expired at West Ham in 2018, but is now in the running to head Beckham's club, with Carlo Ancelotti, Thierry Henry and Gennaro Gattuso also in the frame according to The Mirror.

Having announced their first two signings - Argentine teenagers Matias Pellegrini and Julian Carranza - two weeks ago, Miami are moving swiftly forward with plans for the new season.

David Beckham's new franchise, Inter Miami, will play their first MLS match in February 2020. David Moyes has been out of work since his contract expired at West Ham United in 2018

Although their proposed new stadium, the Miami Freedom Park, is not due to be completed until 2022, Inter Miami will play their first two seasons at the renovated Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale.

And now the hunt for their first manager is firmly underway, with Moyes among a number of well-known names under consideration.

The Scottish manager, who famously lasted less than a season as Manchester United boss after 11 years at Everton, has been out of work for over a year and may welcome the move to the United States.

Meanwhile, Ancelotti is currently manager of Napoli in Serie A, and it is not known whether the 60-year-old would want to swap elite European football for the MLS at this stage of his career.

Out of all the names mooted, Henry is the figure most familiar with the league, given his largely successful time as a player at New York Red Bulls from 2010 to 2014.

The ex-Arsenal striker had a torrid first stint as a manger at Monaco last season though, leaving the Ligue 1 club after just four wins from 20 games.

Gattuso managed AC Milan from 2017 to 2019 but left at the end of last season after failing to secure Champions League qualification.

The Italian World Cup winner also played with Beckham at Milan while the Englishman was on loan there 10 years ago.

Former Manchester United star Beckham owns the expansion club alongside businessman Marcelo Claure, Jorge Mas and Masayoshi Son.

In an interview with BBC Sport, Mas admitted that the inaugural gaffer will be a well known name in management.

'We are trying to get someone who can also commit here for a period of time and leave his fingerprints on our team.

'It's someone you're going to know who has coached before at the highest level and who has played at the highest level.'

Former Manchester United boss David Moyes reveals he scouted £80m Harry Maguire... but didn't sign him because of his size!

* David Moyes says he scouted Harry Maguire when he was at Sheffield United
* The Scot felt he was too big to play at the top level at that stage of his career
* Moyes says he now looks in great shape but doesn't regret not signing him

David Moyes has revealed he scouted Harry Maguire when the defender was at Sheffield United but overlooked him.

Maguire joined Manchester United for £80million last week following spells at Sheffield United, Hull and Leicester.

It was during Maguire's time at Sheffield United that he came to the attention of Moyes, but the Scot has admitted he was taken aback by his size at the time.

'We didn't try to sign him but we flagged him up at that time,' he told talkSPORT.

'I was very aware of the players in the lower leagues and had made a good career out of bringing them to Everton – whether that be Tim Cahill or all the ones we did through the years.

'Harry Maguire was another one I recognised. He played against Preston North End at home in a league game and I watched him and thought he played really well but at that time he was really big. You thought: "My goodness, how big is Harry going to be" because he was a relatively young boy at that time.'

David Moyes scouted Harry Maguire when he was at Sheffield United but overlooked him. Moyes has been impressed with Maguire's development and his rise through the divisions

Maguire shone on his United debut as they thrashed Chelsea 4-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday and Moyes says the centre back's physical development has been impressive - but doesn't regret not signing him.

'To be fair he looks in terrific shape and he hasn't changed at all really,' he added.

'When I went to United, we had [Nemanja] Vidic, Rio [Ferdinand], Jonny Evans, Michael Keane, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling so for us to go and buy another young centre half wasn't the biggest thing we needed at the time.

'And Harry Maguire has had to go on his journey. Sometimes the players need the journey to get to where they have to go. He might have struggled then.'

'It looks like a really interesting project': David Moyes reveals he would consider managing David Beckham's new MLS side Inter Miami, 25 years after working together at Preston

* David Moyes would consider managing David Beckham's Inter Miami
* The MLS club, owned by Beckham, are in the process of appointing a manager
* Moyes played with Beckham while the latter was on loan at Preston in 1995

David Moyes has admitted that he is interested in managing David Beckham's Inter Miami.

The team, owned by Beckham, will begin competing in MLS in 2020 and are in the process of appointing their first manager.

Moyes, who hasn't managed since leaving West Ham in May 2018, has been linked with the position.

Moyes told talkSPORT: 'It is something which looks a really interesting project.

'I watch the MLS quite a bit and it is getting better. I don't know how many people have seen Atlanta. The soccer team are getting more support than the NFL team.'

Moyes believes that the facilities in MLS are of a very high standard.

He said: 'We talk about Tottenham's stadium and that is incredible but wait until you see Atlanta's stadium, it is unbelievable. So MLS is growing and Miami is a great city. It is something which I would consider as an option.

'Miami has got a bit of magic about it. Atlanta's training centre is as good as anything in the Premier League and I know Miami are trying to do the same over there. The MLS is an exciting league.'

David Moyes has revealed that he is open to managing David Beckham's Inter Miami. Inter Miami, owned by Beckham, are in the process of appointing their first manager. Moyes played with Beckham at Preston while the winger was on loan from Manchester United

The Scotsman's preference is to return to the Premier League, but he would also be interested in reuniting with Beckham, with the pair having briefly played together in 1995, when the winger had a short spell on loan from Manchester United.

Moyes said: 'My preference would be to be back in the Premier League but if the opportunity came around, I would have to look at it.

'I do know David from our time at Preston so there is a bit of history but we will have to wait and see.'

Beckham gained valuable experience during his time at Preston and managed to score from a corner against Doncaster Rovers before returning to Sir Alex Ferguson's side.

In addition to Moyes, other high-profile names to have been linked with Inter Miami include Carlo Ancelotti, Thierry Henry and Gennaro Gattuso.

So far Inter Miami have signed three players - Venezuelan defender Christian Makoun as well as Argentines Matias Pellegrini and Julian Carranza.
