Real Madrid 'enter the race for Manchester United and Chelsea target Jadon Sancho... but they are relying on other teams not swooping for him this summer'

* Man United and Chelsea 'face competition from Real Madrid' for Jadon Sancho
* LaLiga giants reportedly can't afford to splash the cash on winger this summer
* Sancho has notched 17 goals in 27 Bundesliga games for Borussia Dortmund

Real Madrid have entered the race for Manchester United and Chelsea target Jadon Sancho, according to reports.

Borussia Dortmund winger Sancho has been heavily linked with a £100million transfer to Manchester United, while the Blues are also said to be interested.

And now LaLiga giants Real have joined the competition for the 20-year-old's signature, but they are relying on other teams not swooping for him this summer, according to AS.

The headline on the Spanish outlet's front page on Wednesday morning read: 'Watch out for Sancho.'

Zinedine Zidane's outfit reportedly cannot afford to splash the cash on Sancho in a few months but it is unquestionable that the England international is on the radar as the Frenchman looks to overhaul his attacking options.

Sancho has underlined his quality once again this season with an incredible 17 goals and 17 assists in 27 Bundesliga games for Dortmund - including a hat-trick in the 6-1 victory at the weekend at Paderborn.

Zinedine Zidane's outfit reportedly cannot afford to splash the cash on Sancho in a few months. Sancho struck a hat-trick at the weekend to be man of the match in a 6-1 win over Paderborn

Since Cristiano Ronaldo left for Juventus in 2018, Real's attack has lacked the same number of goals with the Portuguese star gone and the likes of Luka Jovic and Gareth Bale have fallen down Zidane's pecking order.

Eden Hazard arrived in the summer from Chelsea but has had an injury-hit start to life in the Spanish capital while Vinicius Jr has struggled to develop at the same pace Sancho is in Dortmund

Sancho is one of the hottest properties in world football after impressing in Germany. He notched 12 goals and provided 17 assists in 34 league matches last campaign and has bettered that this time round.

The youngster, a product of Manchester City's youth academy, has established himself as one of the Bundesliga's leading stars following his departure from the Etihad two years ago.

He made his England debut in October 2018 as a substitute in the 0-0 draw with Croatia and has 11 caps to his name.

While he was compared to five-time Ballon d'or winner Ronaldo by former Manchester United defender Wes Brown this week, current team-mate Axel Witsel was equally gushing in his recent comments.

'I think he's one of the best of his generation. He still has a lot to improve, to progress, because he is really young,' Witsel told Bundesliga.com after the win over Paderborn at the weekend.

'But I'm sure in his position, as a winger, he will be one of the best.'

Manchester United willing to wait for Borussia Dortmund to drop £100m Jadon Sancho asking price despite interest from Real Madrid, Liverpool and City as they do not want to pay over the odds

* Borussia Dortmund are demanding £100m in the window for star Jadon Sancho
* Manchester United, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester City want him
* United are favourites to sign him but want his asking price to drop down

Manchester United will wait to make their move for Jadon Sancho as they look to drive down Borussia Dortmund’s £100million asking price.

United are favourites to sign the England winger and bring Sancho back to the Premier League three years after he left Manchester City for the Bundesliga.

Although there has been rival interest from Real Madrid, Liverpool and City, Dortmund have yet to receive any formal bids for the 20-year-old.

Sportsmail understands that United are ready to bide their time this summer to put pressure on the German club to reduce their demands for a player who only cost £10m in 2017.

Old Trafford chief Ed Woodward has already warned that football needs to be more realistic about transfer fees in the post-Covid era in direct response to speculation about Sancho and £200m-rated Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

United have more money to spend than most clubs but they are still unwilling to pay over the odds for Sancho.

They are aware that Real favour a move for Bayer Leverkusen winger Kai Havertz, while Liverpool have reservations over the size of the fee for Sancho and his disciplinary record off the pitch at Dortmund.

A return to City remains an option but Pep Guardiola has cast doubt over whether he will be able to buy a replacement winger for Leroy Sane with other areas of the team taking priority.

Manchester United will wait to make move for Jadon Sancho as they want a lower asking price. Ed Woodward has previously warned that football needs to be more realistic about fees. Dortmund want £100m for the forward but there have yet to be any formal bids for him

Sancho could yet stay at Dortmund but Borussia coach Lucien Favre conceded last week that the player may leave this summer, and benched him for Sunday’s win over Red Bull Leipzig. Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc insisted the reason was fatigue but admitted the club are ‘concerned’ about Sancho amid talk of a move to Old Trafford.

United are aware that being able to offer the former Watford trainee Champions League football could be an important factor in signing him, but not a deal breaker according to sources. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side currently trail fourth-placed Chelsea by five points in the Premier League table.

Solskjaer wants more options in attack after extending Odion Ighalo’s loan until the end of January, with Sancho and Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish at the top of his list.

It’s understood that United have been offered Willian although the 31-year-old Chelsea man does not fit the mould of the young, British player that Solskjaer is keen to recruit.

Default Re: Jadon Sancho

Manchester United 'won't pay more than £50m for Jadon Sancho' as they refuse to be ripped off... in a stance that is set to see them miss out on the £100m-rated Borussia Dortmund star

* Manchester United have long been linked with move for winger Jadon Sancho
* But Borussia Dortmund want more than £100million for the England ace
* United are determined not to be ripped off and are only willing to pay £50m
* Sancho has been sensational this season with 20 goals and 19 assists so far

Manchester United will 'refuse to pay more than £50m for Jadon Sancho' and look set to miss out on the Borussia Dortmund star.

The German club are demanding a fee in excess of £100million for the England international and United have a sustained interest in the 20-year-old.

But United are not willing to bid any more than half of that asking price, according to Sky Sports.

Their stance is likely to see them miss out on Sancho, unless the winger remains with Dortmund this summer and moves at a later date.

The clubs remain significantly far apart in their valuation of Sancho, who has 20 goals and 19 assists in all competitions this season.

On Monday, Dortmund informed the German stock market that matches being played behind closed doors will lead to losses of £41million.

That could offer United a sign of encouragement that the club may look to offload top stars at a cut price.

Jadon Sancho is a target for Manchester United but they will not pay more than £50million. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks set to miss out on one of his top transfer targets this summer. Sancho has 20 goals and 19 assists and is one of the club's most important players. The coronavirus crisis has impacted finances and cast doubt over a possible move for Sancho

The transfer window opens next month but it seems unlikely that Dortmund will be willing to reduce their demands for Sancho by more than half.

Sancho joined the club for just £8m from Manchester City back in 2017 and has since gone on to become one of the team's top performers.

Dortmund are looking for a huge profit and a return to the Premier League seemed likely but United's firm stance has now cast significant doubt over the potential transfer.

United have been seen as front-runners for Sancho in recent months and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was asked on Monday by Norwegian TV channel Viaplay about the chances of signing someone from Dortmund.

He replied with a grin: 'I'm good at math, but I can't answer that question. There are many good footballers on many teams.'

He added: 'We've [him & the owners] had a good dialogue the entire time, and we've had a plan for it since I signed in March [2019].

'The three months of lockdown and for how long we'll have to play in front of empty stands, if we'll play in the Champions League next season.

'There are many things like that which will be factors in terms of what we can do when the season is over.'

And Dortmund chief Hans-Joachim Watzke is confident Sancho will stay after telling German television channel Sport1 that he will be too expensive in this current climate.

He said: 'If Jadon approaches us and says he wants to leave no matter what, which did not happen until now, and a club wants to spend what we demand, we will discuss it.

'But I don't think there will be a club that pays the fee we want.'

Default Re: Jadon Sancho

Make your mind up! Borussia Dortmund 'give Manchester United August 10 ultimatum' to decide on £100m move for Jadon Sancho, claim Bild, or the deal is OFF

* Jadon Sancho is one of Manchester United's long-term targets for their attack
* The England international has thrived since joining Borussia Dortmund in 2017
* Reports in Germany say Dortmund have put a deadline on United to sort a deal
* Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has Mason Greenwood improving and needs to decide

Manchester United have been told to sort a deal for Jadon Sancho by August 10 or to forget about it, according to reports.

Sancho, estimated to be worth £100million, is a long-term target for United and boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as they look to upgrade their right wing attacking option to complement Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.

In a bid to prevent themselves being pulled into a will-he-won't-he scenario throughout the entire summer transfer window, Bild report that Dortmund have told United they are setting an August 10 deadline for any deal to be sorted.

The report in Germany details how Dortmund are keen to retain the power in any negotiations and they are now taking a hard-line with United to ensure Sancho's future is resolved swiftly one way or the other.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola previously revealed they would not be pushing to re-sign the youngster, therefore clearing the path for United to make a move should they so desire.

Sancho enjoyed another stellar campaign in Germany in which Dortmund finished as runners-up to champions Bayern Munich.

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly put a deadline on Jadon Sancho leaving this summer. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is an admirer of the player but has a decision to make on pursuing a deal. Sancho finished the Bundesliga season with a stunning return of 17 goals and 16 assists

In 32 Bundesliga games for Dortmund he scored an incredible 17 goals alongside 16 assists as they finished second.

This output made him Dortmund's top goalscorer and assist-maker in the league.

Sancho joined the club for just £8m from Manchester City back in 2017 and has since gone on to become one of the team's top performers and so the club are now looking at a huge profit should he depart.

Where the deal could fall down is that United are said to be mindful not to spend the sort of money needed to prise Sancho out of Germany in the current economic climate due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Swap deals and reduced fee deals are expected to become commonplace this summer and the emergence of Mason Greenwood has also complicated where Solskjaer goes from here.

Greenwood scored twice in the 5-2 rout against Bournemouth to take the 18-year-old's total to eight in the Premier League this season, the highest scorer of his age in the top flight since Wayne Rooney for Everton in 2003-04.

Speaking on Greenwood's ascent since football's return, Solskjaer said: 'When you play for Manchester United, I think that's a good enough test.

'If you can handle playing for United, then you can handle playing for any team.

'Mason has the qualities that not many others have, so he could play for the full England team or the Under 21s.

'He'll always score goals. He will fill out, so we'll keep on building him up in the gym and on the pitch.'

Dortmund gak mau lepas kalo United gak bayar £100m, itupun harus lolos UCL dulu musim depan baru mau Sancho mo pindah
fokus lolos ke UCl dulu & pertahankan Pogba, jual Pereira & Lingard lalu cari sayap yg lebih murah. mending maksimalkan Greenwood, formasi sekarang Martial diapit Rashford & Greenwood, ditopang Bruno & Pogba sudah oke

Borussia Dortmund eyeing up possible replacements for Jadon Sancho should £100m Man United target leave this summer as Michael Zorc admits 'there are certainly one of two attacking players we are targeting'

* Sancho has been linked with a £100m move to Manchester United this summer
* And Dortmund chiefs have admitted they're already targeting a replacement
* Sporting director Zorc says there 'are one or two players we are targeting'
* England star Sancho, 20, has 20 goals and 20 assists for Dortmund this season

Borussia Dortmund are already targeting attacking players as they prepare for the possibility of Jadon Sancho leaving this summer.

The England star, valued by Dortmund at £100million, has been linked with a move to Manchester United and other leading clubs.

And Dortmund's sporting director Michael Zorc says the Bundesliga club have a contingency plan in place should Sancho depart Signal Iduna Park.

'If Jadon left, we would do something again in the offensive area,' Zorc told Kicker.

'There are certainly one or two players we are targeting.'

Reports in Germany this week suggested that Dortmund have set United a deadline of August 10 to decide whether they want to sign Sancho and make an offer.

But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made clear that United will have to ensure they are getting value for money with their summer acquisitions as the financial impact of Covid-19 becomes clear.

Sancho has scored 20 goals and contributed 20 assists in all competitions during another impressive season for Dortmund, who finished second in the Bundesliga.

Dortmund's chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke is also realistic about the state of the transfer market should they sell Sancho this summer.

He told Kicker: 'When you don't have a billionaire or a state backing you up, then you need to be careful how you invest your money.

'We don't have an end date for corona, without that we simply have no planning security.

'Should we sell Sancho, then every player will cost 5-10million euros more. We have nothing to give away.'

Borussia Dortmund 'anticipate £109m bid for star forward Jadon Sancho from Manchester United... should Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side qualify for the Champions League'

* Manchester United are fifth in the Premier League with three games left to play
* Qualifying for the Champions League would allow United to pursue Sancho
* Borussia Dortmund are preparing for a lofty bid for the 20-year-old from United
* The England international forward scored 17 Bundesliga goals this season

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly expecting a £109m (€120m) bid from Manchester United for Jadon Sancho this summer if the Red Devils finish in the top four.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are currently fifth in the Premier League table, ahead of a trip to Crystal Palace on Thursday night.

But should United qualify for next season's Champions League, Solskjaer will move for top target Sancho in a potential club-record deal, according to German outlet Bild.

Dortmund are reportedly expecting a lofty bid for their 20-year-old forward, who will not want to drop down to the Europa League.

Sancho, who signed for Dortmund in 2017 for a measly £8m from Manchester City, is believed to be keen on a return to Manchester.

United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is keen to pursue Sancho this summer, but needs the financial assurance qualifying for Europe's premier club competition would bring.

Sancho, an England international with 11 senior caps to his name, has had another fruitful season for Bundesliga runners-up Dortmund.

He racked up 17 goals and 17 assists in the German top-flight in 32 matches for Lucien Favre's side.

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly expecting a £109m bid from Man Utd for Jadon Sancho. Yet any move for Sancho depends on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side finishing in the top-four. The England international has enjoyed another excellent season in attack for Dortmund

Due to the pandemic, Dortmund have a financial hole of more than £40m to fill, with a fee for Sancho set to wipe out that deficit in one swoop.

The Bundesliga outfit already appear to be planning for life without him, having secured a £22.5m deal for Birmingham City forward Jude Bellingham.

They beat off competition from the likes of United and rivals Bayern Munich to secure services of the 17-year-old.

Meanwhile in the top-four race, with three games to go for both Leicester and United, the situation is incredibly tight.

The Foxes, tied on 59 points with United but with a superior goal difference, host Sheffield United on Thursday before a tricky trip to Jose Mourinho's Tottenham.

United have Palace and West Ham to play, before what could be a final-day decider between the two sides at the King Power on July 26.

Current occupants of third, Chelsea, are not home and dry yet either - four points clear having played a game more, they still have to travel to champions Liverpool and host Wolves on the final day.

Jadon Sancho 'will have to push through move to Man United' with Borussia Dortmund demanding at least £100m for England star despite beginning search for his replacement

* Sancho 'needs to make clear he wants to leave Dortmund for Man United'
* Two clubs remain some way apart on their valuation of the young England star
* Dortmund ideally want £120m for Sancho and won't accept less than £100m
* United have already made clear their budget has been squeezed by Covid crisis
* Dortmund have started the search for Sancho's replacement if he departs

Jadon Sancho 'will have to push for his move to Manchester United' with Borussia Dortmund insisting they won't accept less than £100million for the England star.

The two clubs are some way apart in their valuations of the 20-year-old forward with Dortmund ideally wanting £120m and the Old Trafford club unwilling to pay that much as the financial impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is felt.

And though Dortmund are already searching for potential replacements for Sancho, the Daily Mirror report that the onus is on the player to make clear he wants to join United.

United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has already made clear their spending this summer will be impacted by the pandemic as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continues to overhaul his squad.

Jadon Sancho 'will have to push for a summer move to Manchester United' with his club Borussia Dortmund holding out for a transfer fee in excess of £100million. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's United are in pole position to sign the 20-year-old England forward. Sancho has enjoyed an excellent season with Dortmund, scoring 20 goals in all competitions. There is concern that signing Sancho could stunt the progress of Mason Greenwood at United

It means that Sancho, who has scored 20 goals and contributed 20 assists in an excellent season for Dortmund, may have to wait 12 months to make a return to England.

United's financial muscle in this summer's market is also dependant on whether they qualify for next season's Champions League, something that cannot be taken for granted.

They are currently fifth in the Premier League table and fighting with Chelsea and Leicester City to crack the top four. They would qualify also if they win the Europa League, which resumes next month.

Although Sancho has also been linked with the likes of Chelsea, Real Madrid and his former club Manchester City, United are the favourites to sign him.

Another consideration for Solskjaer is whether signing Sancho will impede the progress of young academy graduate Mason Greenwood, who has enjoyed a good season in tandem with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial and plays in the same position as Sancho.

Manchester United have been handed a boost in their ongoing pursuit of Jadon Sancho, after Borussia Dortmund reportedly identified his replacement.

Tough negotiators Dortmund are still yet to see United meet their £100million valuation for the 20-year-old, who they signed from Manchester City for £8m in 2017.

Yet now, with the transfer window set to open on Monday, Dortmund have already been watching over the player they feel can replace Sancho, according to the Telegraph.

Dortmund have earmarked Werder Bremen's Milot Rashica, and are said to be ready to make a move should Sancho leave the club.

United are understood to value Sancho at around the £50m mark given the uncertain nature of the transfer market in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, but are believed to be willing to pay up to £80m to get their man.

Manchester United's hopes of signing Jadon Sancho have increased this week. Dortmund have reportedly marked Werder Bremen's Milot Rashica as Sancho's replacement. Ole Gunnar Solskajer wants to add Sancho to his exciting and youthful attacking front line

Michael Zorc, the Dortmund sporting director, is now said to be pressing ahead with plans for Sancho to depart as he expects negotiations for the England star to continue throughout the summer.

Sancho has remained coy on his future in the Bundesliga, and signed a new Dortmund deal as recently as August 2019.

The youngster doubled his wages, yet interestingly did not extend the duration of his stay past the deal's current 2022 expiry.

Sancho did seem unsettled at Dortmund earlier in the season, and was dropped for a fixture after reporting back late from international duty.

This was followed by an abject showing in the Klassiker against Bayern Munich, in which he was embarrassingly hauled off before the game had even reached half-time.

United have already made clear they will not embark on a mass spending spree this summer, after chief executive Ed Woodward confirmed the club had been financially impacted by the pandemic.

Regardless, Sancho remains the club's top target, and following Monday's opening of the window developments are expected to gather pace.

The London-born forward has 20 goals and 20 assists in 44 games for Dortmund this season.
