Manchester United will 'NOT give up on signing Jadon Sancho this summer until England star publicly says he wants to stay at Borussia Dortmund' despite talks stalling over £108m deal

* Manchester United are still hopeful they may be able to sign Jadon Sancho
* Talks over a £108m deal to sign the Borussia Dortmund forward have stalled
* United will not give up on Sancho until the England star says he wants to stay

Manchester United are reportedly unwilling to abandon their pursuit of Jadon Sancho this summer until the England star publicly admits he wants to remain at Borussia Dortmund.

A move for the £108-million-rated forward had looked dead in the water with talks stalling but United now have renewed hope a deal may be able to be salvaged.

Sancho, 20, has remained tight-lipped throughout the saga while Dortmund chiefs have insisted he will spend at least one more season in Germany.

Manchester United do not want to give up Jadon Sancho pursuit until he comments on future. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had made Sancho his No 1 target but talks over a £108m deal have stalled

Negotiations to bring Sancho to Old Trafford were encumbered by the two clubs' difference in valuation and the players' wage demands but The Sun claim United are still not ready to give up on a deal.

United are believed to have offered between £60m and £70m up front with significant add-ons for Sancho - which was rebuffed by Dortmund - and conceded earlier this summer that his £300,000-a-week wages would shatter their pay structure.

However, they believe they could still land their man if he pushes for a move this summer and want the England international to make a statement clarifying his plans for the immediate future.

Despite this, United have already turned their attentions to other targets with Ajax's Donny van de Beek set to sign after a £40m fee was agreed.

20-year-old Sancho - who has remained coy throughout saga - is currently on England duty. United believe they can still sign him this summer if the England ace pushes for the move

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also wants to add a centre-back this summer and is looking at RB Leipzig's Dayot Upamecano.

The highly-sought after Frenchman won't come cheap and it's understood United are open to the idea of offloading Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo in a bid to fund a move.

Meanwhile, a move for Aston Villa's Jack Grealish continues to be mooted and Sportsmail understands the two clubs have held talks over a possible £80m deal.

Grealish is a prime target for United but if they could revive talks for Sancho that would likely spell the end of their interest in the England new boy.

Man United to finalise the salary and fees of Jadon Sancho's agent before preparing an official bid for Borussia Dortmund star valued at £108m
Manchester United are set to finalise the agent fees and salary of Sancho's agent

* The Dortmund star is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's top target this summer window
* The Red Devils are prepared to make an official bid once they sort out fees
* Last month, Dortmund said the deadline to sign Sancho for £108m had passed

Manchester United are preparing to finalise agent salary and fees before submitting an official offer to Borussia Dortmund for Jadon Sancho.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made the England international his top transfer target this summer to bolster his attacking options, with Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood currently occupying the front three positions.

However, talk of a Sancho move to Old Trafford had gone quiet over the past few weeks, with the Bundesliga club steadfast in their refusal to budge from their valuation of the player, understood to be £108million.

Dortmund chief Michael Zorc insisted last month that any chance of United signing their 20-year-old star had dissipated after they missed a deadline to agree a deal for the player.

Sportsmail understands, though, that United are preparing to go back in for Sancho, but will first sort out the salary and fees of intermediaries before approaching Dortmund with an official bid.

Sancho's agent is understood to be Emeka Obasi of the Elite Project Group agency. The agency also looks after the likes of Bukayo Saka, Todd Cantwell and Eddie Nketiah.

Dortmund chief Michael Zorc had said that United's deadline to sign had passed last month. But Sportsmail understands that United are ready to go in for Sancho with an official bid

United remain the frontrunners to sign Sancho this summer, and are looking to strike while the iron is hot after landing Donny van de Beek this week.

The Ajax youngster had been on the radar of a number of high-profile clubs in Europe after starring for the Dutch club in their Champions League run to the semi final last season.

But United have won the race for the attacking midfielder, who sealed a £40m switch to Old Trafford, signing a contract until June 2025 in the process.

The latest Sancho development comes as United legend Gary Neville urged his former side to strengthen in five key areas in order to challenge Liverpool and Man City for the Premier League title next season.

'They have to sign a world-class centre back. For me, another midfield player,' he told Sky Sports.

i need u poems
Gary Neville believes Manchester United needs to strengthen in five key departments. Neville identified Sancho as someone he 'desperately wants' the Red Devils to sign

'I also think a right winger, a centre forward and you have to look at left back because of Luke Shaw's injuries and the fact he has obviously been in and out of the team in the last two or three years.

'So, I think there are definitely four or five players required and to not get three, I think it would be a problem because of what the other clubs are doing.'

United's rivals Liverpool finished 33 points ahead of them last season as they ran away with the Premier League title with City 15 points clear of them in second. Solskjaer's side pipped Frank Lampard's Chelsea to third on goal difference.

The Blues have wasted no time in making additions this summer, acquiring Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell and Thiago Silva during this transfer window.

'If Liverpool get Thiago, if Manchester City do what they are looking like they are going to do and with Chelsea doing what they've done, they are your competitors and they all look like they are improving and moving forward,' Neville added.

'I'm not sat here as a United fan thinking I desperately want him [Sancho]. It could be any number of players that become available that would improve United,' Neville continued.

'If Harry Kane became available, and Tottenham fans will be saying why are you trying to get him out of Spurs again, but if he became available, he'd obviously improve United's squad. So it doesn't have to be a certain player.'

'It feels they are a little bit desperate': Gary Neville urges Manchester United to move on from Jadon Sancho this summer as he believes Borussia Dortmund may take the Premier League club for a ride in the market

* Manchester United have been chasing after Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho
* The Red Devils missed Dortmund's August 10 deadline to finalise a deal for him
* Gary Neville believes United should not be taken for a ride by the German club
* The ex-Man United legend thinks United should leave Sancho where he is

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has urged the club to move on from the Jadon Sancho transfer saga and criticised their recruitment ploys in the market.

Despite only qualifying for the Champions League on the final day of the Premier League last season, the Red Devils have so far only bolstered their squad with the £40million addition of midfielder Donny van de Beek from Ajax.

Van de Beek’s arrival last week pales in insignificance to United’s top-four rivals who have all invested heavier into their squads – bar champions Liverpool.

Gary Neville has ordered Manchester United to give up on signing Jadon Sancho. The Red Devils have made 20-year-old Sancho (above) their top transfer priority this summer

This is highlighted by Chelsea, who finished below United on goal difference last term, who have spent more than £230m on six players so far.

With United’s 2020-21 campaign starting on September 19, at home to Crystal Palace, Neville believes his former side will only have themselves to blame if they fail to add anymore new faces before the transfer window shuts on October 5.

However, he has warned them not to be taken for a ride in terms of paying over the odds for certain targets.

‘Like everyone else they had three months off because of coronavirus, so I don't think it should be the case they didn't have the resource or time to get things done,’ he told Sportsmail.

‘Chelsea got their business done, [Manchester] City have got three or four pieces done. I don't think timing's the issue.

‘It's just a thing with United that every time they go for a player in the last four, five, six years it feels they are a little bit desperate.

‘They think they can hang on but they always pay it [the asking price] in the end.

‘That's sometimes where I think you can take control, give a hard deadline and say “we're moving away from this deal”.’

Neville hopes United aren't taken for a ride by Dortmund's valuation for the player (above). While Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has bought one player, Frank Lampard's Chelsea have signed loads. Neville claims United may have to leave Sancho in Germany for the time being

And Neville feels Sancho is the perfect example of the latter point. The 20-year-old is United's No 1 target this summer but they have been at loggerheads with Borussia Dortmund over £108m valuation for the forward. Coupled with this stumbling block are the player’s wages and his agent fees.

United are determined not to repeat the mistakes of the past few years which has seen them make some costly errors in the transfer market. And this has been heightened by the pandemic.

‘That's been the frustration with Sancho,’ Neville continued during a TalkTalk media opportunity.

‘The fact that it's dragged on. Just say to Dortmund “leave him there” and go get another player.

‘There are plenty of players around, there can't be just one player you're chasing.

‘It is frustrating but I do think United have been better in these last couple of seasons, more careful and not making mistakes either.

‘If you can't get a deal done [for Sancho] you have to move on. You certainly have to give hard deadlines on players.’

Manchester United ready to negotiate Jadon Sancho's transfer fee with Borussia Dortmund and hope to bring £108m asking price down after reaching compromise with England winger and his team over five-year contract

* Manchester United have made a breakthrough in quest to sign Jadon Sancho
* United have made significant progress with agents' fees and personal terms
* However, United still need to agree a fee with Borussia Dortmund for the winger
* They are now close to finalising a contract until 2025 with a 12-month extension

Manchester United are ready to negotiate a price for Jadon Sancho with Borussia Dortmund after reaching a compromise with the player's camp over the terms of a five-year contract.

United ended weeks of stalemate on Wednesday when they made a breakthrough in talks over Sancho's wages and the agents' fees.

Sportsmail understands they are ready to hand Sancho a contract that will run until 2025 with United having the option to extend it by another 12 months.

However, there is still a significant stumbling block with Dortmund so far unwilling to budge on their demand for a transfer fee of £108million.

United believe that is unrealistic in the current economic market, and are braced for another round of tough negotiations as they bid to sign Sancho before the transfer window closes on October 5.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told the BBC on Wednesday night: 'We all know this year has been a very strange one and it's important that everyone understands this has an effect on football. Not everyone can spend millions and millions.'

Dortmund have previously insisted the deal is dead and that the 20-year-old England winger would remain in Germany for another season after United missed a deadline of August 10 set by the Bundesliga club.

However, United have refused to give up the chase after making Sancho their No 1 transfer target and will draw encouragement from the latest twist on Wednesday that he can move to Old Trafford in the next month.

They have alternative options in case the deal falls through, but it's understood that Gareth Bale is not one of them as Real Madrid look to offload the Welshman amid interest from his old club Tottenham.

United hope to sign at least two new players before the window closes – including a new left back – but Solskjaer is wary of making too many changes in the short gap between last season and the new campaign.

'It's never easy to have too many new players in the team,' he added. 'It takes time for players to gel into units.

'We have seen some clubs go for the quick fix and get players in, some have trust in the process and the continuation of the process and the coaching.

'We will have to get the results. Our response has to be about improving, getting the results but also adding players with different qualities than we have and the things that we need.

'I'm very happy working with these players and the squad. We are always trying to see if there's any way possible that we can improve this squad and bring players in that will have all the right criteria.'

Manchester United 'will table take-it-or-leave-it £90m offer for Jadon Sancho' in desperate attempt to prise the England star away from Borussia Dortmund before the window shuts

* Manchester United will reportedly table a final £90m offer for Jadon Sancho
* The Red Devils have been trying to sign the England international all summer
* Borussia Dortmund have remained stubborn on their £108m asking price
* The Premier League side have until October 5 when the transfer window shuts

Manchester United are reportedly set to table a take-it-or-leave-it £90million offer for Jadon Sancho.

United have been chasing Sancho all summer but have been unable to reach an agreement with Borussia Dormtund, who have remained firm on their £108m asking price for the forward.

But according to Mirror Sport, the Red Devils will issue a final offer of £75m up front with a further £15m in add-ons and claim Ed Woodward will inform the Bundesliga side there will be no negotiating over the fee or structure of the deal.

United face a battle to get a deal done before the October 5 deadline with both the Premier League and Bundesliga seasons already underway.

The club made a breakthrough in talks over Sancho's wages and the agents' fees earlier this month but have so far been unable to bring down the price for the England international.

Dortmund's director Sebastian Kehl said earlier this week that Sancho would not be sold in a cut-price deal.

Manchester United are set to table a take-it-or-leave-it £90million offer for Jadon Sancho. Ed Woodward will tell Borussia Dortmund the fee and payment structure is not negotiable. United face a battle to get a deal done before the October 5 with Dortmund wanting £108m

Suggesting that United had made a bid in the region of £73million for the former Manchester City starlet, Kehl told Sport 1: 'We agreed that we had to show a certain attitude. And €80m are simply not enough for such a player.

'We owed that to the club and the fans. I don't want to give him up either. Without Jadon this team is worse.'

Sancho has had a flying start to the season for the German side with a goal and two assists in their opening two fixtures.

In the 2019-2020 campaign, the forward contributed 20 goals and 20 assists in 44 appearances as Dortmund finished second in the Bundesliga.

United have alternative options but the 20-year-old is still their No1 target. The club are locked in negotiations with Porto over left back Alex Telles who is out of contract next summer.

They are hoping to bring down the Portuguese side's £17m asking price while holding out for an £18m bid from Roma for Chris Smalling - who is looking to seal a move back to the Serie A side.

Manchester United prepare bid for Jadon Sancho worth up to £90m with an initial £65m outlay as they hope Borussia Dortmund will lower their £108m demand in final week of the transfer window

* Borussia Dortmund have been adamant that Jadon Sancho will stay this summer
* Man United have seen potential deals for Gareth Bale and Jack Grealish falter
* They are expected to offer around £65m plus add ons up to £90m for Sancho
* Talks are also continuing with Portuguese side Porto for left back Alex Telles
Manchester United are preparing a last-gasp bid to prise Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this week.

Dortmund have been adamant in recent weeks that the £108million-rated England international will stay with them for the season amid concerns United do not have the resources available to test the Germans resolve in this window.

United have seen potential deals for Real Madrid's Gareth Bale and Aston Villa's Jack Grealish falter already this summer and the Old Trafford club are under increasing pressure from disgruntled supporters to bring in a quality forward before the window closes.

Indeed, while talks continue with Porto for left back Alex Telles, it is the need for a better forward that will demand their main focus this week.

Should they fail to tempt Dortmund to sell they will revert to other options.

United are among clubs to have been linked with Napoli's Arkadiusz Milik and Bournemouth's Josh King while Ivan Perisic of Inter and Douglas Costa of Juventus have also been discussed.

Andreas Pereira's proposed departure to Lazio could free up some funds as would Chris Smalling's sale to Roma but United's asking prices have proved problematic as they look to streamline their squad and offload the likes of Sergio Romero, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones.

Dari awal meragukan United berhasil mendatangkan Sancho...

Reus: Maaf MU, Sancho Bertahan di Dortmund
Mohammad Resha Pratama - detikSport
