Manager Warnock departs from Crystal Palace
Warnock relieved of his duties with the Eagles in 18th position in the Barclays Premier League


Neil Warnock has been relieved of his duties as manager of Crystal Palace, the club have said in a statement.

On their website, the club said Keith Millen will take over as caretaker manager for the match away to Queens Park Rangers on 28 December.

Warnock left after their 3-1 defeat at home to Southampton, which left them 18th in the Barclays Premier League table. He was appointed Palace manager for the second time in August 2014, having taken charge of the club in the Championship between 2007 and 2010.

In his third stint as a BPL manager, following spells with Sheffield United and Queens Park Rangers, Warnock led Palace up to ninth position with a four-match unbeaten run, before one win from their next 11 matches saw them slip into the relegation zone.

"The club would like to put on record its thanks to Neil for all his hard work and energy over the past four months," the statement said.

Palace face QPR at Loftus Road in their next match, at 3pm on Sunday 28 December.

Pardew switch moving closer

Crystal Palace and Newcastle are in "advanced talks" over a compensation deal which would see boss Alan Pardew move to south London.

Palace are seeking to replace Neil Warnock - sacked on 27 December - and Pardew, a former Palace player, is their first choice to become their new manager.

Pardew has been at St James' Park for four years, and he is currently over two years into an eight-year contract, so Palace will have to strike a deal with Newcastle to release him from it.*

Talks have been made more difficult because Newcastle owner Mike Ashley is on holiday in Barbados but there could be an agreement between the two clubs as soon as Monday evening or Tuesday morning.

On Monday evening Sky Bet suspended betting on the Newcastle boss switching clubs.

Earlier on Monday, Ajax boss*Frank de Boer was installed as favourite to become the new Newcastle boss if Pardew moves to Palace.*

But De Boer's agent told*Sky Sports News HQ*that*he will not leave the Dutch giants this season.

Speculation over Pardew's future has intensified since he failed to attend the post-match press conference following Newcastle's 3-2 home win over Everton on Sunday.

Former Palace manager Tony Pulis and Hull boss Steve Bruce have also been linked with Newcastle if Pardew, who made 100 appearances during a four-year spell with Palace, calls time on the club after four years in charge.

Pardew made 128 appearances for Palace between 1988 and 1991 and scored the*winning goal in his side's famous FA Cup semi-final win over Liverpool in 1990.

Pardew is scheduled to host his regular pre-match press conference ahead of the visit of Burnley at Newcastle's training ground on Tuesday afternoon - at around the same time Palace preview their next match against Aston Villa.

West Bromwich - West Bromwich Albion menjadi tim kedua di Premier League musim ini yang melakukan pergantian manajer. The Baggies baru saja mengumumkan pemecatan manajer mereka, Alan Irvine.

Irvine bernasib seperti Neil Warnock, yang lebih dulu diberhentikan oleh Crystal Palace. Pria berkebangsaan Skotlandia itu dianggap tak mampu mengangkat prestasi West Brom.

Di bawah kendali Irvine, West Brom cuma meraih empat kemenangan dalam 19 pertandingan. Dalam sembilan laga terakhirnya, Ben Foster dan kawan-kawan kalah tujuh kali.

West Brom kini menempati posisi ke-16 klasemen sementara dengan 17 poin. Mereka cuma unggul satu poin atas Palace yang berada di zona merah.

"Alan membuat semua orang terkesan dengan sikap, dedikasi, dan ketekunannya. Tapi, dia tahu bahwa hasil-hasil pertandingan tidak cukup bagus," ujar Direktur Teknik West Brom, Terry Burton, di situs resmi klub.

"Kami mengucapkan terima kasih atas usahanya dan mendoakan yang terbaik untuk masa depannya. Keputusan ini diambil dengan penyesalan, tapi sayangnya didorong oleh sebuah keharusan," kata Burton.

West Brom berencana mengumumkan pengganti Irvine pada pekan ini. Untuk sementara tim akan dipimpin oleh asisten manajer Rob Kelly dengan dibantu oleh Keith Downing.

setidaknya kalo Redknapp jadi korban, masih banyak klub yg mo merekrut dia. Redknapp hanya ada diklub yg salah, minimal melatih tim menengah ke atas lah
isunya NU sudah kasih izin ke Pardew untuk melakukan pembicaraan dengan Palace. jika Pardew jadi ke Palace, maka gosipnya Collocini akan jadi pelatih merangkap pemain seperti Monk waktu sisa akhir musim lalu.

Redknapp resigns as QPR manager
Les Ferdinand and Chris Ramsey to take temporary charge of first team after resignation


Harry Redknapp has resigned from his position as manager of Queens Park Rangers.

The QPR board accepted his resignation and the 67-year-old will now have knee surgery in the coming weeks. Les Ferdinand, the head*of football operations, and Chris Ramsey, the head*of player development and academy manager, have been placed in temporary charge of first-team matters until further notice, the club said.

Redknapp became manager of QPR in November 2012. After being unable to steer the west London club away from Barclays Premier League relegation, he took them straight back up at the first attempt, with Bobby Zamora scoring a late winner in their 1-0 Championship play-off final victory against Derby County at Wembley Stadium.

In the Barclays Premier League this season, QPR are 19th after picking up 19 points on 23 matches.

Redknapp's last match in charge was QPR's 3-1 defeat at Stoke City on Saturday. It was the 641st match of Redknapp's managerial career in the Barclays Premier League, the third most for a manager in the competition. He has previously taken charge at West Ham United, Portsmouth, Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur.

"I have had such a fantastic time at QPR,"*Redknapp told qpr.co.uk. "I would like to thank the Board, the players and all my staff, and especially the supporters who have been absolutely fantastic to me since I arrived at the club for their tremendous support.

"Sadly I need immediate surgery on my knee which is going to stop me from doing my job in the coming weeks. It means I won't be able to be out on the training pitch every day, and if I can’t give 100 per-cent I feel it’s better for someone else to take over the reins.

"My relationship with Tony Fernandes has been one of the highlights of my footballing career and I wish the club every success. I am confident they will survive in the Premier League this year."

QPR chairman Tony Fernandes was grateful to Redknapp for his time at the club.

"We part on good terms and I would personally like to wish him all the best for the future," Fernandes said.

QPR will next face Southampton at Loftus Road, where they have claimed all their points this term, on Saturday 7 February.

Aston Villa appoint Sherwood manager

Former Tottenham Hotspur head coach takes over from Paul Lambert on 2.5-year deal


Aston Villa have announced the appointment of Tim Sherwood as their new manager.

Sherwood replaces Paul Lambert, who left the club this week after a winless run of 10 matches had dropped Villa into the relegation zone. The 46-year-old has agreed a contract until the end of 2017/18.

His previous managerial experience was at Tottenham Hotspur last season, when as director of football he took over from head coach Andre Villas-Boas in December 2013 and led the team to a sixth-placed finish in the Barclays Premier League.

Tom Fox, Aston Villa's chief executive, was pleased to secure the services of “one of English football's most highly sought after managers”.

"Tim had a fantastic career at Tottenham, not only in his brief spell as first-team manager but, just as importantly, in the role he played in developing young talent,” Fox told avfc.co.uk. "We are determined to build a football operation with a long-term vision and a commitment to youth development.

"We strongly believe Tim has the qualities to get the best out of our current squad and help us build and develop for the future."

For Sherwood it was “a great honour to manage one of the biggest clubs in English football”.

"I can't wait to get started and I'm really looking forward to the challenge," he said. He will start with a home match against Stoke City on 21 February.

"While being forever conscious of the frustrations that we all suffer, we feel that a change that offers a positive, fresh approach will be very good for the club,” Villa chairman Randy Lerner said. "I know that Tom and many others at Villa worked very hard to recruit Tim in the face of severely limited time constraints and pounding pressure.

"More importantly, I know further that internally we remain focused and committed to challenges we face, and I am deeply appreciative for that."

Ramsey appointed QPR head coach

Performances since Harry Redknapp resignation earn coach job until the end of the season

Chris Ramsey has called it a “privilege” and an “honour” to be have been appointed head coach of Queens Park Rangers until the end of the season.

Ramsey took charge of the QPR first team, along with Kevin Bond, after the resignation of Harry Redknapp on 3 February. In his first Barclays Premier League QPR were denied a point at home to Southampton by a stoppage-time winner, but Ramsey guided the team to their first away win of the season, at Sunderland, at the 12th attempt.

That has helped to secure the job until the end of the season, working alongside Bond, the first-team coach, Kevin Hitchcock, the goalkeeping coach, and Les Ferdinand, the director of football.

“In the wake of Harry Redknapp’s resignation, it was my desire to identify the right individual for the job and at this time, we believe Chris is the ideal candidate,” Tony Fernandes, the QPR chairman, told www.qpr.co.uk. “He has impressed everyone here in his short time in charge and I firmly believe he is the right man – working closely with Les – to lead us until the end of the season.

“Chris has an opportunity now to stamp his authority and class on the position. He is part of our long-term plans at QPR.”

Fernandes said the club had spoken to a number of candidates to succeed Redknapp but “none of them were right to take the club forward at this time for a variety of reasons, whereas we firmly believe Chris is.”
