Semoga kali ini United menang

Sejak Musim Terakhir Ferguson, MU Tak Pernah Menang di Kandang Spurs
Lucas Aditya - detikSport

Jakarta - Manchester United sedang mempunyai laju buruk di kandang Tottenham Hotspur. Sejak musim terakhir Sir Alex Ferguson, Setan Merah tak pernah menang.

MU akan mendatangi Wembley, Minggu (13/1/2019) pukul 23.30 WIB. The Red Devils mempunyai modal bagus menjelang laga Liga Inggris yang ke-22.

31 Januari 2018 Spurs 2-0 MU
14 Mei 2017 Spurs 2-1 MU
10 April 2016 Spurs 3-0 MU
28 Desember 2014 Spurs 0-0 MU
1 Desember 2013 Spurs 2-2 MU
20 Januari 2013 Spurs 1-1 MU

'The speculation is there for a reason': Ole Gunnar Solskjaer accepts Mauricio Pochettino is still favourite to be next permanent Manchester United boss, as he confirms Paul Pogba is fit for Tottenham test at Wembley

* Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been speaking ahead of United's clash with Tottenham
* The Spurs boss has been heavily linked with the permanent role at Old Trafford
* Solskjaer admits that Mauricio Pochettino has impressed in his current role
* Meanwhile, Paul Pogba is fit and ready to start Sunday's clash at Wembley
* Defender Marcos Rojo has returned home to Argentina to continue his rehab

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer accepts ‘there is a reason’ why Mauricio Pochettino is being linked with the Manchester United job next summer as he prepares to take on the Tottenham boss at Wembley on Sunday.

While caretaker manager Solskjaer wants to convince the Old Trafford hierarchy to hand him the role permanently after five straight wins in charge, Pochettino continues to be touted as the favourite.

‘He’s done a very good job,’ said Solskjaer. ‘The speculation is there for a reason because he’s done well, but it’s not my job to rate different managers. My focus is on me and my team.’

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer understands why Mauricio Pochettino is being linked with Man United

The Norwegian hopes to cut the 10-point gap between United and Spurs as he chases a top-four place, by masterminding a first away win over their opponents since 2012.

He confirmed that Paul Pogba will be available after recovering from a leg injury on the club’s warm-weather training camp in Dubai this week.

‘He looked okay towards the end so he’ll be fit,’ said Solskjaer. ‘He did have some problems but came through the last couple of sessions well.

‘We’ve had tests. Newcastle away is a test and the first game (at Cardiff) how everyone reacted is a test. The first home game with the crowd is a test. Every single game you get tested, but this is against a top, top side. If we want to go closer and get past them, we need a good performance and a good result.

Pochettino continues to be touted as the favourite to take up the permanent role in summer

‘You always adapt to any opponent. They are one of best in the league so we have to be aware of their strengths. But we need to attack teams, that is our strength – going forward, attacking. We have to.

‘We are not going to get as many chances to attack against these as we had before so when we have the ball we have to be ready to play well with it and we have to use the whole pitch because Wembley is a decent size pitch as well.’

Asked how United plan to contain Harry Kane, he added: ‘He’s not bad is he? He is a fantastic goal scorer and one of the best in the world, but I have got a couple that I’m happy to work with.

‘He is a top professional. Sure, whoever plays with him and trains with him can talk more about him, but from the outside he is a fantastic finisher. He never misses chances so let’s make sure he doesn’t get any against us.’

Solskjaer believes United are moving towards the style he wants following his five games and the short break in Dubai.

‘Every single day and every single game will get us closer and we will get more understanding about how we want to play,’ he added. ‘The last five games haven’t been too bad but there is always things to work on; the relationship between players, the cohesion and the understanding, so hopefully we will see a positive team.

‘Dubai was very good. We had four good days of training so the boys enjoyed it. We got a few principles down, they worked hard and I think they enjoyed working hard.’

Meanwhile, the United boss revealed that Marcos Rojo has returned to Argentina as he continues to recover from a leg injury that has kept him out for the last month.

‘He has gone back to Argentina for a while because of his injury,’ said Solskjaer. ‘How long will he be out for? How long is a piece of rope? For him it was mentally important to go away and come back fresh again.’

OLE: POGBA'S FIT TO FACE TOTTENHAM

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Paul Pogba is likely to be fit for Manchester United's trip to Wembley to face Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Solskjaer spoke to the media shortly after the squad returned to Manchester from Dubai, where the Reds had been training since last weekend's 2-0 Emirates FA Cup win over Reading.

Pogba picked up a knock after a robust challenge from Newcastle United midfielder Jonjo Shelvey in the Reds' 2-0 win at St James' Park on 2 January. The Frenchman played no part in last weekend's cup win and he travelled to the Middle East separately from his team-mates after initially staying behind for treatment.

“He [Pogba] looked okay towards the end [of the training camp], so he'll be fit,” said the caretaker manager.

“He did have some problems but he came through the last couple of sessions well, so he should be okay.”

United have a perfect record under Solskjaer since he took over in mid-December, and Pogba has been an instrumental part of the club's strong form, being named Player of the Month for December after a glut of goals and assists in the victories over Cardiff, Huddersfield and Bournemouth.

The caretaker manager also delivered an update on Marcos Rojo, who has been absent since the 2-1 defeat to Valencia on 12 December, Jose Mourinho's penultimate game in charge.

“He's gone back to Argentina for a while with his injury,” confirmed Solskjaer, before indicating that the date of the defender's return was uncertain.

“How long is a piece of rope?” he said. “For him, it's mentally important for him to get away and come back fresh again.”

TOTTENHAM V UNITED: ALL THE ESSENTIAL INFO

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United will look to claim the biggest scalp of the resurgence so far, when travelling to Wembley on Sunday to face the Premier League’s third-placed team, Tottenham Hotspur.

United's first home defeat of the season was inflicted by Spurs when the teams last met in late August, due to Harry Kane’s guided header and a double from Lucas Moura. However, the Reds were triumphant during the most recent clash between the clubs at the national stadium, coming from behind to win 2-1 in last season’s FA Cup semi-finals.

Sunday's encounter is Solskjaer’s first duel with any of the league’s top four clubs during his short stint as caretaker manager, but the Norwegian has made a fine start by winning all five of his matches so far. Should he extend that run this weekend, he would become the first United boss to win away at Tottenham Hotspur since Sir Alex Ferguson in March 2012 (Wembley was classed as a neutral venue for last year’s semi-final).

Scroll down to find out everything there is to know ahead of the big match…

WHAT’S THE TEAM NEWS?

Earlier in the week, Solskjaer told MUTV that Marcos Rojo had flown home from the training camp in Dubai due to problems with an injury, while Fred is currently on paternity leave as his partner prepares to give birth. Paul Pogba picked up a knock in the win at Newcastle on 2 January, but he joined the squad in the Middle East, trained there and was declared fit by the caretaker manager in Thursday's pre-match press conference. Chris Smalling was also working on his recovery in Dubai, having missed all of the matches under Solskjaer due to a foot issue. Late in 2018, the Norwegian did hint that the defender might be ready to return around the time of the Spurs match. Victor Lindelof was given a break for the FA Cup win over Reading, but has started all the Premier League games under Solskjaer, so he could return to the starting XI to make what would be his 50th United appearance in all competitions. Marcos Rojo, meanwhile, has returned to Argentina for rehabilitation.

HOW ABOUT SPURS?

The man who netted twice against United in August, Lucas Moura, missed the Lilywhites’ semi-final first leg win over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, after picking up a knee injury during the 7-0 FA Cup win over Tranmere Rovers last Friday. Eric Dier (appendicitis) and Victor Wanyama (knee) are expected to miss out this weekend but Jan Vertonghen and Mousa Dembele have overcome recent complaints to return to training at least. Impressive forward Son Heung-min is set to join up with South Korea for the Asian Cup after this fixture.

TOTTENHAM’S FORM

Mauricio Pochettino’s men have been in fine fettle for large chunks of the season, with Watford and Wolves being the only two Premier League sides outside the top five to take any points from them. Spurs have won 15 of their last 18 matches in all competitions, and have scored 23 goals in the six most recent fixtures, including the thumping wins over Everton (6-2), Bournemouth (5-0) and Tranmere (7-0). Harry Kane is of course their leading marksman with 20 goals to date but five of his team-mates have also netted more than five goals each this season - Son, Moura, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Eric Lamela - to prove their potency in attack. All that said, four teams have beaten the Lilywhites at Wembley this season: Liverpool, Barcelona, Manchester City and Wolves.

ONE TO WATCH

Kane’s brutal efficiency in front of goal and his centrality to Spurs’ style of play means he features heavily in any Tottenham-related chat, and the England captain was in the headlines again after scoring the only goal in the victory over Chelsea on Tuesday. His VAR-determined penalty was his 160th goal for the club, which helped him supplant Cliff Jones as Tottenham’s fourth greatest goalscorer.

But it’s also worth highlighting the aforementioned Son, who has been scything through opposition defences with extra relish during recent weeks. The whippet-quick South Korean has seven goals and five assists in his last seven appearances, and his pace and shooting quality with both feet add a further dimension to the north London side’s forward line. Premier League defences will certainly be glad to see him temporarily removed from action due to his upcoming international commitments at the Asian Cup, but United will have to deal with him if they are to record that first away win at Spurs since 2012.

WHAT’S OUR RECORD AT WEMBLEY?

This will be only the second time we’ve played at Wembley outside of cup competitions and the Community Shield, and the lads will have to perform much better than we did on that initial Premier League visit last January - when Christian Eriksen’s first-minute strike and a Phil Jones own goal earned Tottenham a comfortable 2-0 win. But, just months later, we did come from behind to beat Spurs on their own patch in the FA Cup semi-final, through goals from Alexis Sanchez and Ander Herrera. In general, our record at Wembley is solid, with 23 wins, 12 draws and 17 defeats. When it comes to our new caretaker manager, Solskjaer faced Sunday’s opposition 13 times, winning 10, drawing one and losing just two, while bagging seven goals.

WHO IS THE REFEREE?

Mike Dean will take charge of this one - his third United match of the season, following the 2-1 win at Watford and the 2-2 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. He brandished a red card to Nemanja Matic in that first game at Vicarage Road - after the Serbian had picked up a second yellow for a late challenge in injury time – while seven players were booked in the clash against Maurizio Sarri’s side. Dean will be assisted by Darren Cann, Dan Robathan and fourth official Andre Marriner.
