Zlatan Ibrahimovic Announces PSG Arrival Against DC United





Expectations were higher than the Eiffel Tower he held a PSG jersey underneath when Zlatan Ibrahimovic was presented to the French public. Any questions over how Ibrahimovic would integrate himself into the PSG squad were seemingly answered quickly Saturday night against DC United.

Ibrahimovic only needed three minutes to announce his arrival for his new team as he was set up by Jeremy Menez for his first goal for PSG. Despite only joining the team on Tuesday, Ibrahimovic seemed to fit in well with his new teammates on the pitch at RFK stadium.

While the game was interrupted by weather, and playing conditions were less than ideal, it gave PSG the opportunity to get Ibra's feet wet ahead of this weekend's clash with Barcelona. Carlo Ancelotti pulled Ibrahimovic after 38 minutes, keeping the Swedish star on a short leash.

Despite drawing DC United 1-1, PSG can still come away from the game with several positives. The lineup was littered with players fighting for their place in the team. Menez was the only attacking player in the starting lineup who will be a regular alongside Ibra this season. Javier Pastore, Ezequiel Lavezzi and even Kevin Gameiro were on the bench.

Ancelotti has to believe that Lavezzi and Pastore will create numerous chances for Ibra, and will be part of his strongest offensive setup. Ibra will also benefit from Lavezzi and Pastore's ability to finish what the Swede sets them up for.

The Ibrahimovic era in Paris is still in its infancy, but the early returns are as advertised.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic: How PSG Can Get the Most Out of Their Star

With the start of domestic seasons fast approaching, teams are trying to put the finishing touches on their preseason preparations. Integrating new players, evaluating youth, and figuring out how to make the most of their roster has many coaches putting in some late nights.

PSG has as many decisions to make regarding lineups and integration of players as any club. The key to achieving the lofty goals set for the club will be getting the most out of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's talents. The Swedish hitman is the player Carlo Ancelotti needs to center his attack around.

Unless Ancelotti has a major change of strategy, PSG will line up in his preferred 4-3-3 with Ibrahimovic filling the central attacker role. From this position, Ibrahimovic will be able to use his wide array of skills to inflict damage on opposing defenses. He will also be able to use his centralized position to provide for his teammates.

Ibrahimovic will be the center of opposing defenses' attention throughout the season. Many teams will assign their central defender pairing with a marking and support strategy to keep a body on Ibra, and another ready to accept coverage during his runs. The hole in this strategy will be exposing the full-backs to single coverage against the wing attackers of PSG.

Ancelotti will use his depth of attacking players on the wing to support Ibrahimovic to great advantage for PSG. A combination of Ezequiel Lavezzi, Jeremy Menez, Nene and Javier Pastore will flank Ibra in the lineup. All four have tremendous ability in taking on defenders.

If teams use a central defense tandem to contain Ibra, the PSG wingers will have a multitude of chances to take defenders one on one. This plays into the creative strengths of the PSG attack. When they are able to beat their defensive marking, the central defensive pairing will be put under tremendous pressure.

One of the centerbacks will have to close out the wing to prevent a direct run on goal. This will leave Ibrahimovic in a single marking. Ibra’s size, quickness, and intelligence will allow him to lose his marker or create space to give a massive target for wingers who are adept at distributing the ball. With his height and soft touch, Ibra gives his wingers multiple options on where to put the ball.

Ibra’s presence in the center also opens up space for his wingers to make runs into dangerous positions. Ezequiel Lavezzi has shown during the preseason, and in his time at Napoli, his ability to cause havoc with his off the ball runs. Menez, Nene and Pastore are also good at moving off the ball. Giving players of this ability the ball in space will give defenses fits. With other distributors on the pitch in Thiago Motta, Thiago Silva and Mohamed Sissokho, opportunities will be there when the runs are made.

Another way Ibra will help get the most out of the PSG attack is his own distribution of the ball. With his size and ability, Ibra can hold the ball up against pressure and find his mates on the off the ball runs we discussed. Whether holding up the ball and playing from his feet to feet, or using his height to slip a high ball on, PSG will be able to use Ibra as a distributor in their attack.

Playing the centralized role will also give Ibra opportunities to take on defenders, especially on the counter attack. His goal against DC United is a perfect example of how much skill Ibrahimovic has for a big man in taking on defenders. With the skill he is surrounded with, Ibra will have opportunities to get the ball 25 yards out with a single defender to beat. Those situations have seen him be very successful in creating chances.

Carlo Ancelotti has a multitude of ways he can use Ibrahimovic in his attack. Whether a target man on set pieces, a distributor, a creator, or an off the ball runner, Ibrahimovic was the perfect addition to the PSG attack. Ligue 1 and Europe are about to find out just how dangerous the Swedish star has made PSG.

Threadnya sepi nih mungkin karena kebetulan liga Perancis kurang dikenal. Kalau bicara PSG, saya jadi ingat tahun 1990an dulu saat mereka masih diperkuat Marco Simone. Mungkin anak muda sekarang tidak tahu sosoknya padahal permainannya cukup bagus di eranya.

Sirigu: Banyak Tekanan Saat Bermain Untuk PSG



Bola.net - Salvatore Sirigu mengaku jika ada beban berat bermain untuk Paris Saint-Germain dengan ekspektasi fans yang begitu tinggi.

Pasukan Carlo Ancelotti memang menjadi kandidat kuat untuk meraih gelar Ligue 1 musim ini. Le Parisien berhasil mendaratkan pemain bintang seperti Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva dan Ezequiel Lavezzi di musim panas kali ini.

Namun selain menambah kekuatan PSG, kedatangan pemain bintang itu dirasa oleh Sirigu juga memberikan tambahan tekanan. Bermain untuk PSG menjadi semakin sulit dengan tingginya ekspektasi.

"Proyek PSG ambisius dan tekanan akan bertambah besar di setiap tahunnya. Rasanya seperti mengendarai Ferrari. Tidak semudah kelihatannya, Anda harus tahu bagaimana cara mengendarainya," ucap Sirigu seperti dikutip RMC.

"Selalu ada banyak tekanan ketika bermain untuk Paris Saint-Germain. Semua orang berharap Anda bisa menang mudah," imbuhnya.

Paris Saint-Germain harus berterima kasih kepada Ibra yang memborong dua gol penyelamat saat menjamu Lorient di laga perdana Ligue 1, Minggu (12/8). Sementara Sirigu kemungkinan akan diturunkan pelatih Timnas Italia Cesare Prandelli saat menghadapi Inggris di laga persahabatan. (rmc/mac)

PARIS, KOMPAS.com - Penyerang Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Zlatan Ibrahimovic, menilai, klubnya saat ini akan terus menunjukan permainan terbaiknya di Ligue 1. Hal itu diungkapkannya, menanggapi kemenangan 4-0 atas tuan rumah Bastia, di Stade Armand Cesari, Sabtu (22/9/2012).

Dalam pertandingan itu, Ibra mencetak dua dari empat gol PSG. Sedangkan, sepasang gol lainnya ditorehkan Jeremy Menez (menit keenam) dan Blaise Matuidi (72).

"Tak ada pertandingan mudah. Anda harus turun ke lapangan dan bermain sepak bola sebaik mungkin setiap pertandingan," ujar Ibra.

"Kami membuat pertandingan itu menjadi mudah, karena kami melakukan yang terbaik dan berhasil memenanginya. Kami telah bermain baik dan akan menghasilkan langkah positif setelah partai itu," tegasnya kemudian.

Dengan raihan tiga poin itu, "Les Parisiens" duduk di peringkat ketiga dengan 12 poin, atau kalah tiga angka dari penguasa klasemen sementara, Olympique Marseille.

Lugano unhappy at PSG

Paris Saint-Germain defender Diego Lugano has expressed his dismay at being phased out by manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Lugano, 31, signed for the club from Fenerbahce last summer but after the appointment of Ancelotti in December 2011, he has seen his first-team chances limited.

The arrival of Alex in January, followed by the big money signing of Thiago Silva during the summer, has meant the Uruguay international has become surplus to requirements in Paris, having yet to make an appearance this season.

And Lugano admits his current situation is far from ideal, revealing how he was not even informed about his omission from the club's Champions League squad.

"I'm worried because I have no chance to play," he told Ovacion. "What hurts me is to learn from the press that I was not included in the list for the Champions League. I think I deserve better treatment. Now it only remains for me the patience."

Despite his lack of match fitness and his recent injury problems, the former Sao Paulo man insists he is still working hard off the pitch in the hope that a recall may arise.

"Some may think that as I do not play, I drink, I eat, but this is not the case. I worked tirelessly and I'm training hard," he said.

Lugano is in Uruguay's squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Argentina and Bolivia.

Paris - Setelah sebelumnya cuma dianggap rumor, Paris Saint Germain akhirnya mengonfirmasi ketertarikan mereka pada Daniele De Rossi. Penawaran resmi kabarnya sudah siap diajukan ke AS Roma.

De Rossi sebelumnya disebut-sebut menjadi bintang sepakbola terbaru yang jadi bidikan PSG. Upaya memboyong gelandang Italia itu sebelumnya sempat diwakili oleh Marco Verratti, yang menggoda De Rossi untuk bergabung dengannya di Stadion Parc des Princes.

Kali ini pernyataan lebih serius soal ketertarikan PSG pada De Rossi muncul. Tak tanggung-tanggung, yang mengungkapkannya tak lain adalah Nasser Al-Khelaifi, Presiden PSG.

"Itu benar, kami menyukai De Rossi. Dia jelas pemain yang hebat, tapi kami tidak melakukan negosiasia melalui media," sahut Al-Khelaifi seperti diberitakan Football Italia.

Memboyong De Rossi dari Roma diyakini tidak akan mudah. Pesepakbola 29 tahun itu dianggap sebagai simbol dan ikon baru Giallorossi, menggantikan Francesco Totti yang terus termakan usia.

Keuangan PSG habis untuk bayar gaji Ibra

Gaji Tipis, PSG Dikecam Serikat Buruh Prancis

Bola.net - Klub kaya raya asal Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain dikecam oleh serikat pekerja Prancis usai menawarkan gaji terlampau kecil untuk lowongan kerja di bagian Public Relation.

Sauvons Les Riches, sebuah kelompok aktivis untuk buruh di Prancis mengecam tawaran yang dirilis oleh PSG, di mana mereka hanya menyediakan gaji sekitar 100 euro per minggunya.

Nilai tersebut dinilai sangat tidak sesuai dengan kemampuan klub dalam menggelontorkan uang untuk belanja dan memberi gaji kepada para pemain bintangnya, yang bisa mencapai 2,000 kali lipat dari nilai tersebut.

Posisi magang yang mereka tawarkan di departemen PR jika ditotal hanya mampu membayar 436 euro per bulan, untuk kontrak enam bulan. Jumlah tersebut masih jauh dari standar gaji di Prancis yang berkisar pada angka 1,000 euro per bulan.

Akibatnya, juru bicara kelompok pembela hak buruh tersebut, Manuel Domergue mengecam kebijakan PSG dengan menyebutnya sebagai tawaran yang menyedihkan.

"Sangat menyedihkan melihat sebuah klub, yang mampu membayar para pemainnya lebih dari satu juta euro per bulan, namun tidak siap untuk menawarkan gaji minimal untuk posisi magang," tukas Domergue. (mtr/atg)
