Man Utd mencatatkan 20 kali tanpa kekalahan beruntun BPL di markas Aston Villa

Tottenham Hotspur akhirnya mengklaim
kemenangan kandang atas Manchester
United di Barclays Premier League pada
hari Minggu, ketika gol dari Dele Alli,
Toby Alderweireld dan Erik Lamela
menyegel kemenangan 3-0 di White
Hart Lane.

Alhasil, Spurs berhasil mengakhiri rekor
14 pertandingan tak terkalahkan United
di White Hart Lane, yang merupakan
catatan terpanjang beruntun ketiga
pada laga tandang dalam sejarah BPL.
Selain itu United memiliki catatan tanpa
kekalahan tandang terpanjang di BPL,
yaitu 20 pertandingan di kandang
Aston Villa. Terakhir kali United takluk
di Villa Park adalah pada bulan Agustus
1995 ketika Ian Taylor, Mark Draper dan
Dwight Yorke membawa Villa menang
3-1.

Arsenal juga memiliki catatan
mengesankan di markas Aston Villa,
dan berada di urutan kedua dalam
daftar tanpa kekalahan tandang dengan
17 pertandingan. Gol dari Julian
Joachim dan Dion Dublin (dua)
menyelesaikan comeback 3-2, saat
terakhir kali Villa mengalahkan Arsenal
di hadapan pendukung mereka sendiri
pada bulan Desember 1998.

Sementara itu Chelsea menetapkan 14
laga beruntun tanpa kekalahan di
Tottenham Hotspur, yang berakhir pada
tahun 2005.

Chelsea menempati dua tempat
sekaligus di puncak daftar, untuk
urusan tak terkalahkan terlama di
hadapan pendukung sendiri dalam
sejarah Barclays Premier League. The
Blues tidak pernah mengalah dari
Tottenham Hotspur di Stamford Bridge
pada ajang BPL, rekor yang masih bisa
diperpanjang menjadi 24 pertandingan
ketika kedua kubu bertemu pada 2 Mei.

Mereka juga memiliki rekor kandang
yang mengesankan atas Everton,
dengan tanpa menderita kekalahan
melawan The Toffees di kandang
sendiri sejak November 1994, ketika
Paul Rideout memastikan kemenangan
1-0.

Everton juga tidak memiliki kenangan
indah London utara, di mana Arsenal
selalu mendominasi pertemuan
keduanya di ibukota. The Gunners
sukses mencatatkan 20 pertandingan
tanpa kekalahan saat melawan Everton
di Highbury dan Emirates Stadium,

Rekor tersebut masih bisa meningkat

bertemu di Merseyside pada tanggal 23
April.

Di sisi lain, Manchester United juga
memegang rekor 20 kali tanpa
kekalahan pada laga kandang, yang
lagi-lagi atas Everton, antara bulan
Januari 1994 dan Februari 2013, juga
melawan Tottenham Hotspur antara
bulan Januari 1993 dan Agustus 2011.

Jack Grealish completes WORST EVER Premier League season after losing all 16 games he has played for Aston Villa

* Sunday's 4-0 defeat to Arsenal was Jack Grealish's 16th league game
* The England Under-21 international has not picked up a single point
* The previous record for a worst season was 11 games without a point
* Aston Villa have been relegated with 17 points - all earned without Grealish

It has been a difficult season for Aston Villa starlet Jack Grealish, and he has now ended it by picking up one of the Premier League's most unwanted records.

Grealish's came off the bench with 15 minutes remaining against Arsenal on the final day of the season, his 16th league appearance of the season, with Villa a goal down.

The 20-year-old was unable to turn the tide of the match, and it means that, remarkably, all 16 games in which he has played have ended in defeat this season.

That is the most games ever played in a Premier League season without picking up so much as a point, passing the next worst season - which featured 11 defeats - by Sean Thornton in 2002/03 playing for Sunderland.

Grealish is just the second player with more than 10 appearances to have lost every game he has played in a season following Thornton's disastrous season in 2003.

Talal El Karkouri, who was part of that same Sunderland side that were relegated with 19 points - two more than Villa have managed this season - went eight games without a point that season, the third worst record. Another Sunderland player, Martin Woods, went seven games in 2005/06, when Sunderland once again finished bottom.

Emerse Fae - who remains Reading's all-time record signing - also registered eight defeats from eight games for Reading in 2008, and was also relegated, although his side finished 18th and were only relegated on the final day of the season.

But Grealish has eclipsed all of those, having appeared in almost half of Aston Villa's games this term, and 16 of their 27 defeats.

It caps off a woeful season for Grealish - hailed this time last year as the future of the club after breaking through under Tim Sherwood - who has struggled on and off the pitch.

The 20-year-old was sent to train with the club Under-21s by former manager Remi Garde in November after being pictured partying in a Manchester nightclub hours after a 4-0 defeat at Everton.

That followed an incident last summer when he was photographed with a £1,000 bottle of vodka.

However, despite his problematic season, last week he was rewarded with a first England Under 21 call-up following his successful switch from the Republic of Ireland set-up.

Grealish had represented Ireland up to Under-21s level, but will now continue his international career with Gareth Southgate's Young Lions after FIFA cleared the switch in March.

The Villa midfielder has been selected as part of the 20-man group heading to France for next week's Toulon tournament, which will pit England Under-21s against Portugal, Guinea, Paraguay and Japan in their initial group games.

Kapten Manchester United Wayne Rooney kembali menorehkan rekor yang signifikan dalam perjalanan karirnya pada Rabu dini hari, menutup musim 2015/16 Barclays Premier League dengan pencapaian gol ke-100 di Old Trafford.

Rooney membuka skor dengan mengkonversi peluang pertamanya pada target sesaat sebelum jeda, dan sekaligus turut mengantarkan kemenangan 3-1 Man Utd atas AFC Bournemouth, yang juga memastikan The Red Devils finis di urutan kelima dalam klasemen akhir.

Gol keseratusnya di The Theatre of Dreams menjadikannya pemain kedua di BPL yang berhasil mencapai angka tiga digit di stadion yang sama.

Thierry Henry, yang sukses mempersembahkan 114 gol untuk Arsenal di Highbury.
