Re: Goal from United Midfield
Ketemu juga nih thread .., lanjut ach ...
_______________________________ ManUtd.com United's goalscoring midfielders Juan Mata leads the way for Manchester United when it comes to hitting the net in the Premier League from midfield. So we looked at the average games per goal record of past Reds midfielders in the competition. We analysed everybody with more league goals than Juan's tally of 11 (but left out Cristiano Ronaldo as we considered him to be a forward!)... [Compiled by Adam Marshall] Juan Mata: 28 games / 11 goals Following his arrival from Chelsea last January, he has contributed a goal every 2.54 matches. Scoring with free-kicks, powerful shots and even headers, the little Spaniard has proved to be an extremely valuable asset. Andrei Kanchelskis: 88 games / 23 goals The Ukrainian flying machine once admitted he would have to be more selfish in front of goal in a bid to keep his place in the side and a ruthless streak paid off. He netted once every 3.82 games and, of course, hit a hat-trick in the Manchester derby. David Beckham: 265 games / 62 goals A threat from outfield play and set-pieces, he always weighed in with more than his fair share of goals, scoring once every 4.27 matches. Considering the fact he also assisted so many strikes, his value to the United cause should never be underestimated. Paul Scholes: 499 games / 107 goals The one-club man netted too many memorable strikes to mention and broke the century mark of Premier League goals. An average of a goal every 4.66 matches, considering he played almost 500 times, is very impressive. Nani: 147 games / 26 goals Ever since hitting an exocet missile of a strike against Tottenham, he has been a goal threat and likes to shoot when cutting inside. Currently on loan at Sporting, his average is a goal every 5.65 matches. Ryan Giggs: 632 games / 109 goals United's all-time record apperance maker scored in every Premier League season bar his final campaign and was a constant scourge of rival defences. His final tally was one every 5.79 outings. Paul Ince: 116 games / 19 goals The energetic midfield star hit eight league goals during the Double-winning campaign of 1993/94 and his late strikes included one at former club West Ham to rescue a point. An average of one every 6.10 games was a decent return. Lee Sharpe: 116 games / 17 goals After bursting into the team at left-back, he patrolled the flank with real menace, utilising his incredible speed to good effect as an orthodox winger. He averaged a goal every 6.82 matches. Ji-sung Park: 134 games / 19 goals Always popular with the Reds faithful, he often came up with vital strikes and was the archetypal team player. His 19 Premier League goals gave him an average of one in every 7.05 matches for the club. Brian McClair: 162 games / 18 goals Originally a striker when moving from Celtic, he was prolific for United in his first season but later reverted to a deeper midfield role. The Scot found the net once every nine games in the Premier League, although he often came off the bench. Roy Keane: 326 games / 33 goals Signed as a box-to-box midfielder from Nottingham Forest, he scored twice on his home debut against Sheffield United. He modified his game to exert more influence and is one of the club's greatest-ever skippers. His record is one goal every 9.87 matches. Antonio Valencia: 142 games / 13 goals Currently operating as a right-back or wing-back, the powerful Ecuadorian averages a goal every 10.92 fixtures. His venomous strike at Blackburn won United's Goal of the Season in 2012. Darren Fletcher: 221 games / 18 goals The long-serving Scot brings control and stamina in midfield but has popped up with some important goals – including one memorable header to defeat Chelsea. He averages a goal every 12.27 games. Nicky Butt: 270 games / 21 goals The combative England international was famed for his tough tackling and accurate passing rather than his goalscoring but he managed 21 goals in the Premier League for the Reds with an average of one every 12.85 matches. Michael Carrick: 252 games / 16 goals With a goal every 15.75 games, the classy midfielder has never been prolific and is even less likely to hit the net if he continues playing at the back. Nonetheless, he is absolutely crucial to Louis van Gaal's tactical plan. Thanks for reading the list. Here's hoping Juan Mata continues to enjoy such a rich vein of goalscoring form.
