Cristiano Ronaldo 'snubs David Beckham's Inter Miami and will stay at Manchester United this season... as club consider making him CAPTAIN in Erik ten Hag's Old Trafford revolution'

* The Red Devils are fully confident that Cristiano Ronaldo will stay at Old Trafford
* Man United have no plans to sell him despite links to Chelsea and Bayern Munich
* The star forward is reportedly frustrated by the club's lack of transfer activity
* He has reportedly turned down an offer from David Beckham's Inter Miami

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly turned down a potential move to Inter Miami in favour of remaining with Manchester United, where he could become the team's new captain.

David Beckham's club had explored the chances of luring his old friend to the US in a bid to boost the team's performance and brand, according to The Daily Star.

The Old Trafford side have no desire to sell the 37-year-old despite the fact he is understood to be frustrated at their lack of progress and his agent Jorge Mendes meeting clubs such as Chelsea and Bayern Munich over the past week to test the demand in the market.

Ronaldo scored 24 goals last season and, though he has been criticised for being unable to sustain a pressing game, still sets a high example to the players around him at United.

And The Mirror are reporting that Erik ten Hag is considering making him captain in place of Harry Maguire.

Manchester United have no desire to sell star forward Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of next season. David Beckham's club reportedly explored the chances of luring his old friend to the US. New manager Erik ten Hag is considering giving harry Maguire's armband to Ronaldo

Maguire came under a lot of criticism last season and removing the armband could help to alleviate some of the pressure on him.

Ronaldo was deeply disappointed by last season and the decisions taken by United after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's departure last November.

The Portuguese superstar still cares deeply about the club and wanted it to take bigger and quicker strides forward. Instead progress was hindered by the interim appointment of Ralf Rangnick and subsequent divisions within the dressing room.

Erik Ten Hag wants to play an attacking style and sees Ronaldo playing a key role despite the fact he is looking to bring in another forward and lower the age of the squad.

Piers Morgan claims Cristiano Ronaldo wants to quit Manchester United because of 'cocky, lazy younger players whose egos, unlike his, are writing cheques their performances don’t cash'

* Broadcaster and player are close having been pictured out together previously
* Piers Morgan says Man Utd do not share the same ambition as the wantaway star
* It has emerged that Cristiano Ronaldo wishes to depart the club this window

Piers Morgan has said that Cristiano Ronaldo wants out of Manchester United because they do not share his 'ferocious ambition'.

It emerged last week that Ronaldo wanted to leave United this summer, with clubs including Chelsea, Napoli and Bayern Munich said to be interested in his acquiring his services. The player wants to play out the final years of his career at the top of the game.

Morgan, who is a friend of Ronaldo's, tweeted that the player's 'will to win' is not matched by some of the 'cocky' and 'lazy' younger players in the squad.

The broadcaster tweeted: 'Cristiano Ronaldo wants out of United because they don’t share his ferocious ambition & will to win.

Piers Morgan said that Ronaldo wishes to leave because Man United do not match his ambition

'Especially some of the cocky, lazy younger players whose egos, unlike his, are writing cheques their performances don’t cash. That’s the real story.'

Since the story emerged on Saturday much of the debate surrounding Ronaldo's future has been centred on whether or not it would be a good move to grant his wish.

Ronaldo arrived to much fanfare last summer but his presence in the side was often at the expense of younger players who the club seemingly had plans to develop.

Piers Morgan labelled some of the superstar's younger team-mates 'lazy' and 'cocky'. Chelsea are considering a move for Cristiano Ronaldo amid his uncertain future at Man United

Ronaldo did not show for training for a second consecutive day on Tuesday, citing 'family reasons'. As it is, however, the club currently harbour no plans to sell the player.

It has been reported that Chelsea, under new owners led by American Todd Boehly, and Paris Saint Germain, looking once again at trying to claim their first Champions League crown, are interested in the player.

The Athletic reported last month that new Chelsea owner Boehly met with Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes, where a move to Stamford Bridge was among the subjects they discussed.

It is said that talks have since continued between the US businessman and Mendes, with Boehly and fellow director Behdad Eghbali thought to be interested in signing an iconic figure.

But Thomas Tuchel is being given significant power over who the club bring in this summer, with Chelsea offering as much backing to their manager as they can, so any move for Ronaldo would likely need his approval too.

Manchester United 'are ready to SELL Cristiano Ronaldo after caving in to his transfer demands as the club realise they can't keep him against his will', with the Portuguese star failing to turn up to training for the third straight day

* Manchester United have reportedly given in on Cristiano Ronaldo's demands
* The Old Trafford favourite is looking to leave the club during the summer
* Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Napoli are among clubs interested in Ronaldo
* It's said United don't want to be involved in a drawn-out transfer saga

Manchester United have reportedly decided that they are willing to sell Cristiano Ronaldo during the summer transfer window.

The Portuguese superstar has made it clear to the club that he wishes to leave Old Trafford this summer and on Wednesday, he failed to turn up to training for the third day in succession.

It has now been reported by The Sun that the club have decided to cave in to his transfer demands.

The club had previously been adamant that Ronaldo would remain at the club, after a season in which he scored 24 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions.

However, it's said they have now realised that they can't keep him against his will and want to avoid getting involved in a long, drawn-out transfer saga as they look to improve from their worst Premier League season on record.

The club on Wednesday were left in the dark over whether Ronaldo will travel with the squad on their pre-season tour of Asia and Australia.

Manchester United will reportedly give in on Cristiano Ronaldo's transfer demands. It's said United don't want to be involved in a long, drawn-out transfer saga over Ronaldo. Ronaldo wants to play Champions League football despite his affinity for Manchester United. Erik ten Hag hoped to work with Ronaldo but the Portuguese superstar has failed to turn up to three straight training sessions this week after making his intentions to leave the club clear

Ronaldo cited family reasons for his absence on Monday and Tuesday, after telling the club on Saturday that he wishes to leave this summer, and he again refused to train on Wednesday.

Erik ten Hag is preparing his squad to head on their pre-season tour on Friday, with the first game set to take place in Bangkok against Liverpool on July 12, but chiefs do not yet know whether Ronaldo will board the plane with his team-mates.

Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Napoli are all on red alert and eyeing a move for the unsettled superstar, with the former's new owner Todd Boehly having already met with agent Jorge Mendes to discuss a potential transfer.

Mendes has also been talking to clubs such as Bayern and Serie A giants Napoli over recent weeks to test whether there is a market for his client but no agreement is in place as it stands.

As Sportsmail previously reported , the 37-year-old still has an affinity for the club but at this stage of his career, he wants to be playing in the Champions League and does not see that happening at Old Trafford.

This season at United, he would be playing Europa League football after they only managed to finish sixth last campaign.

Since Ten Hag's appointment was confirmed, he has repeatedly insisted that Ronaldo would be part of his plans - despite public debate over whether Ronaldo would suit his style of play.

He previously stated: 'Ronaldo is a giant, because of what he's already shown and I think he's still very ambitious.

'Of course I would like to keep him. He's been very important to Manchester United this year and can produce great statistics.'

PSG 'REJECT the chance to sign Cristiano Ronaldo after talks with agent Jorge Mendes' as French giants 'fear there wouldn't be room for the Man United star' alongside Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar

* PSG reportedly snubbed the chance to sign Man United star Cristiano Ronaldo
* Ronaldo wants to quit Old Trafford this summer in order to challenge for trophies
* Only a handful of clubs could afford his wage demands, including PSG
* But the French side are said to be concerned they do not have room for him
* They already boast a lucrative front line of Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar

PSG turned down the chance to sign Manchester United's wantaway star Cristiano Ronaldo because they do not have any room for him in their star-studded side, according to reports.

Ronaldo has rocked new boss Erik ten Hag with his demand to quit Old Trafford this summer because he wants to compete for trophies, though there are few clubs who could afford his astronomical £500,000-a-week salary.

PSG are one of the clubs armed with the power to bring Ronaldo in, but even a side with the financial might of the French giants would struggle to secure such a deal, according to ESPN - who claim the club rejected the opportunity after talks between president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and the player's agent Jorge Mendes.

Al-Khelaifi and Mendes have a close relationship and met this summer after the latter offered his client to the Ligue 1 champions.

But PSG believe they do not have enough room in their wage budget to accommodate Ronaldo, and also fear they would not even be able to fit him into the current squad because it is already filled with names like Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar.

They also believe Ronaldo would not be the right signing at this time, the report goes on, with PSG entering a new era following a hierarchical shuffle after agreeing new terms with Mbappe.

Mauricio Pochettino has already been sacked as manager with Christophe Galtier appointed as his successor, while director Leonardo has also been axed.

PSG have reportedly turned down the chance to sign Man United star Cristiano Ronaldo. President Nasser Al-Khelaifi reportedly held talks with his agent Jorge Mendes but determined that the club didn't have room for him. PSG are already facing a dilemma of how to fit in Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Leo Messi. Ronaldo has rocked Old Trafford by demanding to leave the club this summer. Erik ten Hag (right) has reiterated that wantaway star Cristiano Ronaldo (left) is not for sale

Galtier wants to play with a back three at PSG, the report claims, which will already make it difficult for him to find space for Mbappe, Neymar and Mbappe in his front three - signing Ronaldo would only exacerbate that dilemma.

Ronaldo's options appear to be dwindling after reports that Bayern Munich have also turned down the chance to sign him - while Chelsea were said to be pursuing him but there are concerns over whether he would fit into Thomas Tuchel's system.

It came after Ronaldo missed the first few days of United's start of pre-season and was left out of their tour to Australia and Thailand due to compassionate reasons.

Speaking before his side thumped Liverpool 4-0 in Asia, Ten Hag stressed he was not for sale and that the player was in his plans.

'We are planning for Cristiano Ronaldo for the season and that's it. I'm looking forward to working with him. Cristiano is not for sale. He is in our plans and we want success together.'

'I cannot tell (on Ronaldo joining tour) as absence I already explained and that is it for this moment,' added the United boss. 'He's not with us and it's due to personal issues.

'I spoke with him before this issue came up. I had a conversation with him and I had a good talk. That is between Cristiano and me. What I can confirm is we had a really good conversation together. I didn't speak to him after (the news).'

Ten Hag's comments reflect United's official stance after the club insisted that Ronaldo is not for sale and remains under contract for another year.

They already have to replace marquee players like Paul Pogba and Edinson Cavani, and can ill afford to be buying a replacement for Ronaldo with less than a month to go until the season starts.

United have only signed one player so far, defender Tyrell Malacia, and the Dutch boss is also chasing his former Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez, as well as his old player Frenkie de Jong - who also played under him at Ajax - and who is now at LaLiga giants Barcelona.

sebenarnya bisa saja PSG menjual Neymar yg 'tidak terlalu diinginkan' lagi musim ini ke Chelsea atau klub lain lalu membeli Ronaldo untuk dimainkan bersama trisula Mbappe-Messi

Cristiano Ronaldo 'is offered £250MILLION megadeal to sign for a Saudi Arabian club' amid uncertainty over his Manchester United future with the unnamed team putting up £105m-a-year salary for two years, £25m transfer fee and a bonus for his agent!

* Cristiano Ronaldo's Manchester United future remains up in the air
* Erik ten Hag has insisted he isn't for sale but the 37-year-old has asked to leave
* Reports in Portugal suggest a Saudi Arabian club have offered him a huge deal
* They would pay £105million-a-season for two years as well as £25m transfer fee
* His agent Jorge Mendes would reportedly be in line for a £20m bonus as well
* United boss Ten Hag shut down questions on Ronaldo during press conference

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been offered a £250million megadeal to finish his career in Saudi Arabia.

With the Portuguese star's Manchester United future uncertain, an unnamed Middle East club have apparently offered the 37-year-old an eye-watering amount of cash to join them.

CNN Portugal say the club would not only pay United a transfer fee of around £25m to sign Ronaldo but they would offer him a salary in the region of £105m-per-season over two years.

It comes after it emerged that Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, two other clubs linked to buying Ronaldo, have turned down the chance to sign him in the current transfer window.

The lucrative package also includes £20m for Ronaldo's representative Jorge Mendes.

United paid Juventus an initial £12.85m to bring Ronaldo back to Old Trafford last summer, with the player signing a two-year contract with the option of a third.

Despite the 24 goals scored by Ronaldo in all competitions, United endured a difficult season and could only qualify for the Europa League by finishing sixth in the Premier League.

It has resulted in Ronaldo asking to be sold this summer if the right offer comes in although United manager Erik ten Hag has insisted he isn't for sale.

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been offered a massive deal to sign for a Saudi Arabian team. Ronaldo has told Manchester United to accept a reasonable offer if one arrives this summer. Ronaldo is absent from the tour on compassionate grounds amid speculation over his future. Ronaldo, 37, is yet to return to Manchester United pre-season training due to family reasons. The lucrative Saudi offer would apparently include a £20m bonus for his agent Jorge Mendes

Ronaldo is not currently with the rest of the United squad on their pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia on compassionate grounds.

Ten Hag refused to discuss Ronaldo's future when asked in a press conference as United arrived in Melbourne for two fixtures.

'We made a statement and nothing has changed,' said Ten Hag ahead of Friday's friendly match against A-League outfit Melbourne Victory at the MCG.

Speaking before United's 4-0 win over Liverpool in Bangkok earlier this week, Ten Hag slammed the door shut on Ronaldo's attempts to leave Old Trafford.

Ten Hag said in Bangkok: 'We are planning for Cristiano Ronaldo for the season and that's it. I'm looking forward to working with him. Cristiano is not for sale. He is in our plans and we want success together.'

The Dutch coach added: 'He's not with us and it's due to personal issues.

'I spoke with him before this issue came up. I had a conversation with him and I had a good talk. That is between Cristiano and me.

'What I can confirm is we had a really good conversation together. I didn't speak to him after (the news).'

Cristiano Ronaldo is 'highly UNLIKELY' to play for United again and has 'mentally moved on', says Piers Morgan - who claims he has spoken to star and believes he will end up 'somewhere surprising'

* Cristiano Ronaldo has told Manchester United that he wants to leave the club
* However, his options for a move away appear to be limited this summer
* Piers Morgan thinks Ronaldo has 'mentally moved on' from United
* He feels that it is likely that Ronaldo has played for United for the last time
* Morgan believes Ronaldo could end up 'somewhere surprising' this summer

Piers Morgan feels it is 'highly unlikely' that Cristiano Ronaldo will play for Manchester United again after speaking to the forward this week, and has tipped the Portuguese star to move 'somewhere surprising' this summer.

Ronaldo only returned to Old Trafford last year, but after a disappointing campaign for the Red Devils, it was reported earlier this month that he had asked to leave the club if they received an appropriate offer this summer.

He has since not joined up with the squad for their pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia, and Morgan believes the 37-year-old has 'mentally moved on' from United.

'I have had quite a lot of contact in the last week. I certainly think it'd be highly unlikely if Cristiano Ronaldo plays another game for Manchester United. I just think mentally he's moved on,' Morgan told talkSPORT.

'If you're him and coming towards the end of your career and you still want to win major trophies you've got to make a calculation. Am I going to do it if I stay at United?

'I think he feels the club structure from the top down isn't right. It's not a reflection on the new manager [Erik ten Hag], he's got a lot of respect for him, but it's just an accurate reflection of where United are right now.

'It's for him to say what he feels but if you're asking me then I don't think he's going to stay at Manchester United.'

Piers Morgan feels Cristiano Ronaldo has 'mentally moved on' from Manchester United. Morgan has spoken to Ronaldo recently, and does not think he will play for United again. Morgan has claimed that Ronaldo respects Erik ten Hag but still wants to leave. Morgan has not given up hope that Ronaldo could still move to Arsenal this summer. Erik ten Hag admits he still hasn't spoken to Ronaldo since the Man United star asked to leave

If Ronaldo does have his heart set on leaving United, his options appear to be limited.

Chelsea, PSG and Bayern Munich have all rejected the opportunity to make a move for him in recent days.

He has been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid, although a switch to the Spanish club could prove controversial given his previous history with their cross-city rivals Real Madrid.

Morgan thinks Ronaldo could end up somewhere unexpected, and has revealed that he is still trying to convince him to join Arsenal - the club he supports - after the Gunners missed out on the superstar almost two decades ago when he was a teenager.

Morgan continued: 'I think he could end up somewhere quite surprising.

'Arsenal fans listening should know I'm doing everything in my power to try and persuade him to come to Arsenal.

'And bearing in mind he was close to coming to Arsenal as an 18-year-old, he was about to sign under Arsene Wenger, and at the last minute he blitzed United in a friendly for Sporting Lisbon and Ferguson didn't leave that game until he signed him.

'I believe he'd be coming home!

'Him up front with Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah would be a fantastic forward line for us, so why not?'

Erik ten Hag admits he still hasn't spoken to Ronaldo since he asked to leave the club, and doesn't know when the player will return to training less than three weeks before the new season starts.

Ten Hag backed the 37-year-old to be fit for the new campaign even though there has been no contact or indication when Ronaldo will report back for training.

'The same status as last week in Bangkok. No change,' said the United boss in Melbourne on Monday.

'He is training. I think we all know Ronaldo is a top professional and he will be fit – that is the last concern I have.'

Cristiano Ronaldo is willing to take a '30 per cent PAY CUT' to leave Manchester United this summer - and he 'IS interested in moving to former arch rivals Atletico Madrid'

* Cristiano Ronaldo is searching for an escape route from Man United this summer
* The Portuguese icon has been linked with a sensational move to Atletico Madrid
* Ronaldo, 37, scored 450 goals in 438 games for their arch-rivals Real Madrid
* Bayern Munich, Chelsea and PSG have already ruled out an offer for 37-year-old

Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo is willing to take a big pay cut in order to exit Old Trafford this summer.

The Portuguese legend is willing to take a 30% pay cut, according to Ben Jacobs, in order to get a transfer, and it has been revealed that he is willing to join Atletico Madrid, arch-rivals of former club Real Madrid.

Ronaldo formally requested a transfer from United at the beginning of July but has not drawn the interest a player of his calibre might have expected, so a pay cut may be a ploy to tempt Champions League sides to make a bid for him.

In order to fast-track the intended exit, Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes has reportedly been touting his services to Europe's top clubs - seemingly to no avail.

Cristiano Ronaldo is looking for an exit from Manchester United after just one season back. He won the Champions League four times during nine successful years with Real Madrid - but the Bernabeu club have ruled out the prospect of bringing him back this summer. Jorge Mendes has been offering his client's services to Europe's elite

Diego Simeone's Atletico are the latest big club to be linked with the 37-year-old, and have so far followed suit in distancing themselves from Ronaldo, although the links have refused to subside.

And although they are able to offer the five-time Ballon d'Or winner the Champions League football he desires, they may struggle to pay his wages.

And despite the 30% cut Ronaldo is willing to take, any side will still likely have to pay around £300,000-a-week for his services.

Chelsea, PSG and Bayern Munich had previously ruled out an approach, and Los Blancos became the latest to turn him down.

Spanish newspaper Marca say there is no possibility of Ronaldo returning to the Bernabeu as he doesn't feature in their plans, despite a phenomenal 450 goals in 438 matches for the club between 2009 and 2018.

Ronaldo scored some crucial goals for United in what was a turbulent season at Old Trafford. Erik ten Hag's side have not missed Ronaldo's goals as they have scored 11 goals in three games

Real are the reigning European champions and Ronaldo has made no secret of his desire to win the Champions League for the fifth time, as well as extend his lead over Lionel Messi in the competition's all-time scorers' chart.

Ronaldo has not reported back for pre-season training, and as such is not part of Erik ten Hag's squad in Thailand and Australia, although his absence has not yet hindered their progress.

United have won all three of their tour matches so far, racking up 11 goals in the process and Anthony Martial, playing in Ronaldo's centre forward position, has scored in each fixture.

Default Re: Cristiano Ronaldo

Wantaway Cristiano Ronaldo is willing to take a PAY CUT to join Atletico Madrid, but the Spanish side would need to sell players first with a potential loan deal on the cards

* Cristiano Ronaldo could yet still leave Manchester United this summer
* The forward has made it clear he wants to leave for Champions League football
* United manager Erik ten Hag has made it clear Ronaldo isn't for sale
* A potential loan deal could happen but Madrid would need to sell players first

Jorge Mendes wants to engineer a move to Atletico Madrid for Cristiano Ronaldo.

The agent of the Manchester United superstar has been working to see if Atletico can absorb the cost of signing the 37-year-old amid suggestions an initial loan deal could be brokered.

Ronaldo posted a picture of himself in the gym in Lisbon yesterday while United were playing in Perth.

Ronaldo has not travelled to Australia for United's pre-season tour, staying at home as he deals with a family issue.

Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Manchester United in order to play in the Champions League. The forward could join up with Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid on a loan deal. Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has claimed that Ronaldo is not up for sale

He has shown a willingness to take a pay cut from his basic £360,000-a-week salary, but Atletico would need to sell players first.

Antoine Griezmann, who has struggled to impress since his return from Barcelona on a two- year loan, and Juventus target Alvaro Morata are two players that could be off-loaded.

Ronaldo, who spent nine seasons at Real Madrid, has asked to leave United to continue playing in the Champions League and has yet to return to training, citing family reasons which the club accepted.

United’s stance on the situation has been that Ronaldo is not for sale and is under contract.

New manager Erik ten Hag has claimed he sees the forward in his plans and that he is looking forward to working with him.
