Ole Gunnar Solskjaer vows Manchester United will take special precautions for Jack Grealish in Aston Villa clash ahead of possible £50m move to Old Trafford

* Manchester United head to Aston Villa in the Premier League on Thursday night
* It will see them come up against Jack Grealish, who has been linked with them
* Solskjaer is all-too-aware of the potential of a danger man valued at £50million
* But United, in superb form, are favourites against relegation-threatened Villa

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will warn Manchester United to watch out for Jack Grealish when they face Aston Villa on Thursday night.

The Villa skipper has been strongly linked with a move to United at the end of the season, particularly if Dean Smith's side lose their battle against relegation from the Premier League.

Solskjaer knows that Grealish is likely to be Villa's danger man, having scored when the two clubs drew 2-2 at Old Trafford

'I think the last game they caused us some problems, Grealish off left and El Ghazi on the right,' said Solskjaer.

'Grealish scored a fantastic goal. There's been loads said about him and we need to be aware of him, if he's off the left, middle or right.

'He attracts players to him but there's not just one player in that Villa team, there are a lot of them.

'They've shown since lockdown they can hold their own. They've been in tight games.

'They've worked on their shape and their counter attack is one of the most powerful in the league, they spring quickly. Set-plays as well.

'They've got some good first contact players, big size and some individual players.'

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has warned his Man United players to beware Jack Grealish's threat. Grealish, valued at £50million, has been linked with a move from Villa to United this summer

Solskjaer was less willing to discuss another reported target after he spoke to Bournemouth centre-back Nathan Ake following United's 5-2 win over Eddie Howe's side at Old Trafford last weekend.

'I've got seven centre-backs, I don't know where that's come from. We're fine,' said the United boss.

Solskjaer believes his side may well have to win all their remaining five Premier League games to take fourth place in the Premier League, insisting that their current a 16-game unbeaten run should be well within the capability of any United team.

'I think so,' he added. 'You never know what's going to happen but it looks like teams around us are playing well. There are so many games and if you win every single one we're in the top four.

'We cannot rely on help from anyone else, we have to do it ourselves and go into next season to put other challenges into teams.

'As a footballer, you know you can't just pick out confidence from the fridge. You've got to have it from every day in training and results matter.

'The last 16 games unbeaten gives us confidence but it's nowhere near what a Man United team should strive towards.'

Aston Villa co-owner Nassef Sawiris 'slaps huge £80m price tag on Manchester United target Jack Grealish' with club desperate to keep hold of inspirational captain

* Manchester United are interested in signing Jack Grealish this summer
* But Aston Villa want as much as United paid for defender Harry Maguire last year
* Villa co-owner Nassef Sawiris isn't prepared to let his captain leave on the cheap
* Grealish scored on Sunday as Villa avoided relegation from the Premier League

Aston Villa co-owner Nassef Sawiris has reportedly placed a hefty £80million price-tag on star man and Manchester United target Jack Grealish this summer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are firmly interested in the Villa captain, whose goals and performances have kept his side in the Premier League this season.

Grealish scored on Sunday in the 1-1 draw at West Ham which confirmed Villa's survival and now, according to The Mirror, stubborn businessman Sawiris wants at least as much as United paid to Leicester last year for defender Harry Maguire, totalling £80m.

Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish is a reported target of Manchester United this summer. But Villa co-owner Nassef Sawiris has set an asking price of £80m for the 24-year-old

The report details that the Egyptian co-owner is not prepared to let his star asset leave on the cheap, even though the 24-year-old himself is considering his future this week.

Grealish stayed at Villa when they were last relegated and despite captaining the side to promotion and now survival, the attacking midfielder does have ambitions to win trophies.

As well as United, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is also an admirer of the uncapped Englishman.

Grealish scored against West Ham on Sunday as his beloved Villa stayed in the Premier League

His goal, a powerful left-footed strike, on Sunday was his ninth of the season as Dean Smith's side stayed up by the skin of their teeth on the final day.

Grealish posted an Instagram story of himself and his manager early on Monday morning, as Dean Smith and his captain celebrated into the night following their miraculous survival.

Villa took five points from their final three games to retain their top-flight status, with Watford, Bournemouth and Norwich heading down to the Championship.

Afterwards, Smith said of the prospect of Grealish leaving in the coming weeks: 'We have billionaire owners and if people want him he's going to cost an awful lot of money.'

He is under contract at Villa Park until 2023 on £60,000-a-week, but he could double his wages with a move away.

United can also offer Grealish Champions League football after their 2-0 victory over Leicester City on Sunday secured their qualification for Europe's premier club competition next season.

Manchester United prepared to wait until late in transfer window to make a move for Jack Grealish as they focus on signing Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho in British record deal

* Jack Grealish has long been a player of interest to Manchester United
* However, the midfielder is not currently a transfer priority at Old Trafford
* Any serious offers for Grealish would likely have to start at least at £80million
* United are keen to strengthen and Jadon Sancho is their main target

Manchester united are prepared to wait until late in the window before considering a move for Jack Grealish as they push to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

Grealish, the Aston Villa captain, has long been of interest to United yet it is understood that as things stand, he is not currently a transfer priority at Old Trafford.

Any serious offers for Grealish, who has three years remaining on his contract, would likely have to start at least at £80million.

Jadon Sancho is top of Solskjaer's wishlist with a move from Borussia Dortmund on the cards. Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish is also a target for the Red Devils this summer

United are keen to strengthen in wide attacking areas and Sancho, who has developed into one of the world's most valuable forwards during his three seasons in Germany, is their main target, though Dortmund are likely to demand about £110million for the 20-year-old, who has been capped 11 times by England.

Dortmund would also like negotiations to be concluded by August 10, which is when they travel to Switzerland for a pre-season training camp.

Grealish, 24, scored the goal in the 1-1 draw at West Ham on the final day of the season that ensured Villa stayed in the Premier League.

Villa's successful fight against relegation means they are under no financial pressure to sell Grealish, with owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens ready to spend again to make the club more competitive next season.

United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has also warned that it is unrealistic to think transfer fees will remain as high as before following the coronavirus pandemic.

Grealish has been with Villa throughout his career and shone on his return to the top flight, particularly before lockdown when he scored seven goals and six assists, at times single-handedly keeping Villa alive in the battle for survival.

Though he was not as influential after the restart, he delivered when it mattered with the decisive strike at West Ham as Villa stayed above the relegation zone by a single point.

Jack Grealish bagus sih, tapi mending (biar ga mubazir karena kebanyakan) fokus kejar Sancho, jika United mau beli sayap yah.

Aston Villa look to keep hold of captain Jack Grealish by 'offering him new lucrative £100,000-a-week deal' as they try and fend off Manchester United interest

* Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish is wanted by Manchester United this summer
* Villa's skipper had a fine Premier League season last term, scoring eight goals
* The Midlands club want to reward Grealish with a new £100,000-a-week deal
* Villa hope that this financial boost for the midfielder would convince him to stay

Aston Villa are planning on offering captain Jack Grealish a new £100,000-a-week contract to stop him joining Manchester United, according to reports.

The 24-year-old midfielder scored the crucial goal to keep his boyhood club in the Premier League on the final day of the season during their 1-1 draw at West Ham.

Grealish has endured a successful campaign for Dean Smith's side in Villa's first season back in the top-flight, with the Red Devils looking to add to the squad that reached finished in the top-four this term.

But according to the Sun, the midfielder could be convinced to stay by Villa's lucrative new contract offer, which is a significantly better deal than his current £70,000-a-week agreement.

The report says Midlands club owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens do not want to let their star captain leave Villa under any circumstances and are hope that this bonus will be enough to keep Grealish where he is.

Sawiris and Edens are reportedly also prepared to inject £100million into the club to bring in three or four quality additions ahead of Villa's second season in the top-flight.

Aston Villa are set to offer Jack Grealish a new £100,000-a-week contract for next season. Villa owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens desperately want Grealish to stay. Grealish enjoyed a fine Premier League season and Manchester United could move for him

The Sun say that among the list of targets is Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard, Brentford midfielder Said Benrahma and young Exeter City teenager Ben Chrisene.

But keeping Grealish at the club is one of the top priorities for Smith, the club's owners and the Villa supporters.

The midfielder has been on the club's books since he was six-years-old and broke into the first-team as a teenager in 2012.

Since then, Grealish has represented his boyhood club 186 times and scored 25 goals.

During the 2019-20 season, Grealish scored eight Premier League goals and added six assists to his goal contributions total, which was enough to keep Villa in England's top division.

Manchester United are still in contact with Aston Villa over £75m-rated Jack Grealish... but club are NOT pursuing a move for Monaco's £21m teenage star Benoit Badiashile

* Manchester United remain in contact with Aston Villa regarding Jack Grealish

* United are considering a move for Grealish, who is valued at £75million

Manchester United remain in contact with Aston Villa over a deal for £75million-rated Jack Grealish.

The clubs are understood to have spoken over the past week with the talented midfielder open to the challenge of playing for a club in the Champions League.

United had been focusing their attention on a move for Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho but with that reaching an impasse, Grealish has moved back into focus.

Manchester United remain in contact with Aston Villa over £75million-rated Jack Grealish

The 24-year-old created the most chances by an English player in the Premier League last season but was omitted from Gareth Southgate's England squad again on Tuesday.

Though there have been questions raised regarding his off-field behaviour, United still believe his skill and energy could benefit their squad for the new season.

Villa have wealthy owners and gave no need to sell their captain but will not stand in his way of progressing as long as suitors match their valuation.

United will not be pursuing Monaco's Benoit Badiashile despite reports of a £21million offer

United could offer a number of players as part of negotiations with Villa keen to add a goalkeeper and right back as part of their summer rebuild.

United's Dean Henderson, who signed a new contract on Wednesday, and Sergio Romero are both admired by Villa as possible loans while United full-back Diogo Dalot could be available too.

Dean Smith wants to bolster his forward line and strengthen midfield too.

Chelsea's Conor Gallagher and Brentford pair Said Benrahma and Ollie Watkins have also been discussed.
