Manchester United willing to 'sell Anthony Martial to fund summer move for Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale'

* Manchester United will 'sell forward Anthony Martial at the end of the season'
* Jose Mourinho wants to reinvest the money they receive by signing Gareth Bale
* The United boss has lost patience with Martial and is ready to cash in on him
* Real Madrid may be willing to listen to offers but will demand in region of £80m

Manchester United could be ready to sell Anthony Martial in order to fund a mega summer transfer for Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale.

According to The Mirror, Jose Mourinho has lost patience with the France international and is ready to offload him at the end of the season.

Martial, 22, has found the back of the net 11 times this season in all competitions but has failed to perform consistently.

Mourinho left Martial on the bench for United's 2-0 victory against Swansea on the weekend.

Juventus are being touted as early potential suitors for the forward, with Mourinho plotting to reinvest the money they receive for him to finally land Bale.

The Wales star, who scored twice in Madrid's win over Las Palmas on Saturday, could be tempted to move to Old Trafford amid speculation the Spanish giants are willing to listen to offers.

United have been tracking Bale for some time but have seen their opening gambits in the past three summer windows rebuffed, with Madrid insisting he is not for sale.

That stance has now changed, but Madrid will be demanding in the region of at least £80million for the 28-year-old.

Gareth Bale's agent insists he's going nowhere this summer: 'He loves Real Madrid and they love him'

* Gareth Bale's agent has insisted his client has no intention of leaving Real Madrid
* Bale has been the subject of constant speculation about a move this summer
* Injuries have seen the Welsh winger slip down the pecking order at the Bernabeu

Gareth Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett has insisted his client has no intention of leaving Real Madrid this summer and that the Welshman is loved by the Spanish giants.

Bale has been the subject of constant speculation about a move away from the Bernabeu after injuries have seen him slip down the pecking order.

As a result, a departure from the Spanish capital has looked increasingly likely, with Manchester United and Spurs both interested in the winger.

However, Barnett has rubbished speculation his client will be leaving the Bernabeu and insists there is a mutual admiration between the player and his club.

'Gareth is a Real Madrid player and loves Real Madrid and Real Madrid love Gareth,' Barnett told ESPN.

'All this talk about leaving is written by reporters who have no idea what is going on and who need to write something and don't care if it is true or not.'

After making a blistering start to life in Spain following his move from Tottenham - scoring 21 goals in his first season - Bale has fallen victim to persistent calf injuries that have hindered his opportunities.

His most recent came in October last year, which saw him sit out 13 La Liga and Champions League games between then and December.

His absence from the Real side, and the drastic improvements of Isco and Marco Asensio, has seen his place in Zinedine Zidane's side come under doubt.

Manchester United 'want to sign Gareth Bale on loan from Real Madrid' as they refuse to pay £75m fee for star

* Real Madrid want to get rid of Gareth Bale this summer as he is not in their plans
* But both Manchester United and Spurs have turned down the chance to sign him
* While they will not pay £75m for Bale, United would take him on loan this season

Manchester United will try to sign Gareth Bale on loan.

Real Madrid want to get rid of the former Tottenham forward after signing Eden Hazard, with Zinedine Zidane not picturing a future for Bale at the Santiago Bernabeu.

But both his old team Spurs and United have made it clear they will not be meeting Real's price tag of £75million for the Wales man.

According to the Mirror, United would be interested in signing the 29-year-old on a season-long loan - with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side holding an option to extend it by 12 months.

Real would therefore be able to knock £50m off their wage bill over the next two seasons.

There would also be the sweetener of a loan fee to tempt Real into letting Bale go temporarily.

Manchester United are planning to launch a bid to sign Real Madrid's Gareth Bale on loan. It is clear that Bale is not in Zidane's plans and the manager is keen to force him out. United would be willing to finance a loan deal for Bale as his signing would excite the fans

The arrival of Hazard has made it clear that Bale is not in Zidane's plans and the manager is keen to force him out.

Bale will not move easily, though, and he may have doubts over a move to United as they did not qualify for the Champions League.

United have targeted young players this summer yet would be willing to finance a deal for Bale, who earns £480,000-a-week at Real, as it would excite their fans.

That would put him in the same wage bracket as current top earner Alexis Sanchez.

Manchester United 'reject move for Gareth Bale' as Real Madrid try to offload Wales star this summer

* Gareth Bale is not among Manchester United's transfer targets this summer
* Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to recruit young players to rebuild the side
* 29-year-old Bale surplus to requirements under Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid

Manchester United are pressing ahead with their summer transfer targets and it appears that Gareth Bale is not among them.

United on Wednesday announced the £17million capture of Welsh winger Daniel James from Swansea.

But Bale will not be joining his compatriot at Old Trafford anytime soon despite Real Madrid's best efforts to offload the 29-year-old.

Manchester United have reportedly rejected the chance to open talks with Gareth Bale. The Welshman is surplus to requirements at Real Madrid after the return of Zinedine Zidane

United have rejected the chance to open talks with the Wales star, according to ESPN FC.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are among a host of top European clubs who have been sounded out over the prospect of signing Bale, the report claims.

The Welshman finds himself surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu following the return of Zinedine Zidane to the managerial hot-seat.

And he faces a battle for first-team football with Madrid quick out of the blocks in the transfer market, having already added Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic this month.

Bale remains under contract until 2022 and is thought to be reluctant to leave.

He has long been a target of executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward, who wanted him in 2013, but he no longer fits the profile of player United are looking for.

Solskjaer is keen on recruiting young players as he looks to rebuild the side following a poor 2018-19 season.

Real Madrid convinced 'Gareth Bale could be a Manchester United player by January... and will try to use forward as a make-weight to sign Paul Pogba'

* Real Madrid plan ambitious swap deal involving Paul Pogba and Gareth Bale
* They believe Manchester United would be keen on signing the Welsh winger
* Bale was ruled out of Madrid matches with injury but has played for Wales

Real Madrid are confident that Manchester United will seal the signing of want-away Welshman Gareth Bale by January, according to The Sun.

The Spanish giants believe Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are desperate to add a big name to their squad, and also feel there is a chance they can land long-term target Paul Pogba as part of any deal.

Bale had been close to a £1million-a-week move to Jiangsu Suning in China this summer, before Real Madrid pulled the plug by demanding a fee from the Chinese Super League side.

Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale may be set to join Manchester United in January. Real Madrid are confident that Paul Pogba can be included in any potential deal for Bale

Bale has scored twice in seven games for Real Madrid this season, but still has a difficult relationship with boss Zinedine Zidane.

Despite missing several club games, he declared himself fit to play for Wales in their Euro 2020 qualifiers and in the build-up indicated he preferred playing for his country.

Asked if playing for Wales allowed him to rediscover the joy of football, Bale said: 'To an extent. I've been with most of the older players since we were in Under-17s.

'It's like playing with your mates down the park on a Sunday. It's normal. With Wales, I'm speaking my own language and feel more comfortable.

'I definitely have more excitement playing for Wales. But it doesn't change what I do on the pitch. I always give 100 per cent on the pitch wherever I am, that's what I always strive to do.'

Gareth Bale 'has interest from Manchester United' with the Welshman set for showdown talks over his Real Madrid future with Zinedine Zidane - and Jose Mourinho wants him at Spurs too... but doesn't have enough money!

* Gareth Bale hit out at Real Madrid for making it 'difficult' to leave the Bernabeu
* The Welshman was set for a move to China before Madrid pulled the move
* In the interview Bale said he would consider a return to the Premier League
* Manchester United are reportedly monitoring the 31-year-old's situation

Gareth Bale is set for showdown talks with Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid over his future at the club.

The Wales international hit out at Real Madrid in a recorded interview, for making it 'very difficult' for him to leave, and admitted he would consider a return to the Premier League.

Now Spanish newspaper Marca have reported that Manchester United are keen on Bale, and Real Madrid are hoping that this will lead to an offer from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

Gareth Bale is set for showdown talks with Zinedine Zidane as he looks to exit Real Madrid. The Welshman in an interview said Madrid were making it 'very difficult' for him to leave. Manchester United are reportedly interesting in bringing Bale back to the Premier League

The report states that Los Blancos are preparing 'operation exit' for the frustrated Welshman following his return from international duty.

It adds that Jose Mourinho would 'love to have' Bale at Tottenham, but chairman Daniel Levy has 'no money'.

While it is clear both parties believe it's better for the 31-year-old to leave the club, Real have not had any offers as yet and there is the complicated issue that they are unwilling to pay off the remaining two years of his salary.

Bale's €17million (£15.1m) wages over his remaining two years would mean Madrid would have to negotiate a possible €34m (£30.2m) pay-off which they are not in a position to do.

Following Bale's interview with Sky Sports, the winger and Zidane are set for an awkward face-to-face meeting to try to facilitate the end of his Madrid nightmare.

Bale has has been frozen out of the Madrid set-up by Bernabeu boss Zidane.

Bale, who joined Madrid in 2013 in a then world-record £86million deal from Tottenham, only played 20 times in all competitions last season, cut a dejected figure during their title celebrations and has become infuriated with the club's handling of his potential departure.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Bale also expressed frustration at Madrid thwarting his mega-money move to the Chinese Super League. He was on the brink of a move to Jiangsu Suning on a three-year deal reported to be worth in the region of £1m per week.

He said: 'Last year they blocked everything at the last second, so it was a project that I was excited for last year but it didn't materialise. There have been other incidents when we've tried to go but the club wouldn't allow it or have done something, so as for the club, what can I say.

'I want to play and I'm still motivated to play football so I guess it's on the club really. I can't really do much, they are in control of everything. I have a contract so all I can do is carry on doing what I'm doing and hopefully something comes up.

Gareth Bale has been froze out of the Real Madrid team making just 20 appearances last year. Marca state that Jose Mourinho is interested in Bale but that a move to Tottenham is unlikely. Zidane is keen to get Bale's wages off the books and facilitate a move for him to leave the club

'As I've said it's in the club's hands and they make it very difficult, to be honest.'

Asked if he is keen to move to the Premier League again, Bale added: 'As I said it's not really in my hands, I think it's one of those situations if offers arrived it would be something I'd look at for sure but we will have to see what happens.

'We have got plenty of time left in this transfer window and others as well but time will tell. Mainly the reason is the decision is in Real Madrid's hands.'

Marca state that Bale's Madrid team-mates are 'indifferent' to his situation as they already see him 'out of the club' after he was left out at games against Leganes and Manchester City at the end of last season.

Madrid are determined to offload some players including James Rodriguez who is set for a move to Everton, so they can therefore spend on new players.

Manchester United have been linked with Bale on numerous occasions in recent years.

So far this summer, they have made just the one signing - Donny van de Beek from Ajax for £40m.

Tottenham 'move ahead of Manchester United in race to sign Gareth Bale' with Real Madrid outcast's chances of arriving at Old Trafford hinging on outcome of Jadon Sancho transfer bid

* Manchester United are considering a season-long loan move for Gareth Bale
* ESPN claim the Welshman's former club Tottenham have moved ahead of them
* Spurs are said to have already made efforts to strike a deal with Real Madrid
* United are interested in Bale with their hopes of signing Jadon Sancho fading

Gareth Bale's former club Tottenham have stolen a march on Manchester United in the race to sign him, according to reports.

Sportsmail revealed on Monday that United are considering a dramatic move for the Real Madrid forward with their hopes of signing Jadon Sancho fading.

The 31-year-old Welshman is one of several options on the table with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer determined to bring in a right-sided forward before the transfer window closes next month.

But ESPN report that Tottenham have moved ahead of the Old Trafford club and claim the north London club have already made efforts to strike a deal with their former star and the Spanish giants.

The report adds that while United's chances of signing Bale hinge on the outcome of their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund star Sancho, Spurs manager Jose Mourinho has made it clear to chairman Daniel Levy that he needs attacking reinforcements to ease the goalscoring burden on Harry Kane.

The same outlet adds Bale is attracted by the prospect of a move to Old Trafford, but claim Spurs have the upper hand because United boss Solskjaer only sees the four-time Champions League winner as a back-up option to England star Sancho.

Bale has been frozen out by coach Zinedine Zidane and is keen to leave the Bernabeu after Madrid scuppered his transfer to Jiangsu Suning in China last summer by demanding a transfer fee once he had agreed wages of £1million per week.

But ESPN claim Spurs have already made efforts to strike a deal for their former star. United are considering a loan deal for Bale with their hopes of signing Jadon Sancho fading

Bale moved to Spain from Tottenham for £86m in 2013 and still has two years left on his contract, but Madrid have expressed a willingness to pay 50 per cent of his £600,000-a-week salary to help smooth his departure.

And if United opt for a move for Bale, they are likely to propose a loan which would allow them to try again for Sancho at the end of the 2020-21 season.

But Bale's age and recent injury record will count against him and there are still many stages to pass before a return to the Premier League occurs.

Bale scored 56 goals in 203 appearances for Spurs between 2007 and 2013 after arriving from Southampton in 2007.

Despite having revived their long-standing interest in Bale, United are keeping their options open with Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic, Kingsley Coman of Bayern Munich and Douglas Costa, who was put up for sale by Juventus at the weekend, among the other players under consideration.

The Old Trafford hierarchy began exploring other possibilities after accepting that it may not be possible to sign Sancho before the transfer deadline on October 5.

United agreed terms with the 20-year-old player and his representatives last week, but Dortmund are refusing to accept anything below their £108m valuation. The player is also happy in the Bundesliga and is reticent to force through a move.
