Park Ji-Sung Menginspirasi Son di Final Liga Champions
Redzi Arya Pratama - detikSport London - Son Heung-Min bertekad tampil sebaik mungkin di final Liga Champions dan membawa Tottenham Hotspur juara. Dia terinspirasi Park Ji-Sung. United mencapai final. Saya melakukan itu sebagai fans sepakbola." "Apakah saya mengimpikannya? Jelas saya memimpikan banyak hal-hal positif. Saya selalu bermimpi memenangi sesuatu, atau menjadi pemain terbaik. Semua pemain memimpikan ini, tapi tak semua pemain mendapat kesempatan tampil di final Liga Champions. Faktanya kami mencapai final dan saya tak sabar menghadapinya. Kami tak ingin merasakan tekanan terlalu besar. Kami ingin menikmati laga penting ini," demikian dia. |

Re: Park Ji-Sung
'No player deserves to be left out of the final': Sir Alex Ferguson admits omitting Park Ji-Sung from Champions League triumph over Chelsea in 2008 is a decision he 'regrets to this day'
* Park Ji-Sung was left out of Manchester United's squad for final in Moscow * Teams could then only pick seven substitutes for Champions League finals * The South Korean forward had started both semi-finals against Barcelona Sir Alex Ferguson won it all in a distinguished 27-year career in charge of Manchester United. But even the Scot admits he didn't get everything right and has recalled one regret from over a decade ago. Despite tasting victory over Chelsea in the 2008 Champions League final in Moscow, Ferguson admits he was faced with a selection headache that day. Park Ji-Sung celebrates with the Champions League after Manchester United's 2008 victory. Sir Alex Ferguson admits leaving the South Korean out of the Moscow final was a regret. Park did not feature in the final against Chelsea, which United won after a penalty shootout Park Ji-Sung was the fall guy, despite starting both semi-final legs against Barcelona 'To win the European Cup is fantastic,' Ferguson told MUTV. 'It was a really great bunch of players with a great attitude about them and a good, strong squad. 'My problem in the 2008 final, maybe I even regret it to this day, was I left Park Ji-Sung out completely in the final. 'He'd played such a great role and that's the problem when you get to these finals. No player deserves to be left out of the final.' Ryan Giggs, Nani and Anderson all came off the bench but Park was not even among the seven substitutes. Regulations have now changed so that sides can field 11 substitutes. Code:

Re: Park Ji-Sung

Re: Park Ji-Sung
Ji-Sung Park urges Manchester United fans to STOP singing song referencing dog meat as former winger calls his own chant ‘very discomforting for Korean people’
* Ex-Man United star Park Ji-sung has asked fans to retire a chant about him * The chant includes a disparaging line about Koreans eating dog meat * Park spoke out after hearing United fans singing the song last month at Wolves * 'It causes discomfort to Korean people when they hear that song,' Park said Former Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-sung has appealed to the club's fans to stop singing a song which contains a racial stereotype about his native South Korea. Park was a huge crowd favourite during his time at United between 2005 and 2012 and fans sang a song in his 'honour', which includes a disparaging line about Koreans eating dog meat. The song is still heard at Old Trafford nine years after he left the club and the now-retired Park has spoken about it, saying he wants to educate supporters about why the words are hurtful to him and his compatriots. Park Ji-sung has asked Man United fans to stop signing an offensive song dedicated to him. Park said fans meant no offence with the song, which references Koreans eating dog meat Park, 40, said he had been prompted to speak out after hearing United fans singing the song at Molineux last month when Wolves unveiled South Korean striker Hwang Hee-chan. 'I'm really sorry for him to hear that,' Park told the UTD podcast. 'I know that United fans don't mean any offence to him for that song but still I have to educate the fans to stop that word (dog meat), which is usually these days a racial insult to the Korean people.' United fans had sung the chant at Molineux when Wolves unveiled Hwang Hee-chan in August. Park, who was a fan-favourite at United, said the song 'causes discomfort to Korean people' Park made over 200 United appearances after joining from PSV Eindhoven and was part of four Premier League title-winning squads, as well as being a Champions League winner in 2008. He also won 100 caps for South Korea and played at three World Cups in 2002, 2006 and 2010. 'That particular word is very discomforting for Korean people, and I really feel very sorry for the younger players who heard that kind of song,' Park added. 'In Korea, things have changed a lot. It is true that historically we have eaten dog meat but these days, particularly the younger generation, they really hate it. The culture has changed. 'I really request the fans to stop singing that word. It causes discomfort to Korean people when they hear that song. It's time to stop. The Premier League club has backed Park, saying: 'Manchester United fully supports Ji-sung's comments and urges fans to respect his wishes.' Code:

Re: Park Ji-Sung
Manchester United favourite Park Ji-Sung returns to English football after taking on a coaching role at former club QPR... as the South Korean star admits he's 'learnt lots' during his time so far in west London
* Manchester United legend Ji-Sung Park has officially returned to English football * Park has taken charge of the U16 side at QPR as part of his coaching B licence * The former midfielder will be working with QPR's head of coaching Chris Ramsey * Park - who played at Man United and QPR - says 'coaching is different' to playing Manchester United legend Ji-Sung Park has returned to English football to launch his coaching career. The former versatile midfielder - who is the most decorated Asian player in history - has taken charge of the U16 side at Queens Park Rangers as part of his coaching B licence. Park - who played for both Manchester United and the Rs - will be learning the ropes while under the tutelage of QPR's head of coaching Chris Ramsey. Speaking to the club's official website, Park said: 'Having played for QPR I am really interested to see how they develop their young players. I have learnt lots from the players as well as the coaches. Man United legend Ji-Sung Park has returned to English football to launch his coaching career. Park will be learning the ropes under the tutelage of QPR's head of coaching Chris Ramsey 'I have been surprised at how enthusiastic Chris is towards football and particularly towards the youth levels. 'It is not normal to see someone who is involved with the first team, like Chris is, so involved with the whole youth system. It has been really impressive to see. 'You can see his philosophy which is brilliant. It all takes time but when the process is doing well, the club benefit long-term from it. I have learnt a lot of things from him. 'Chris has lots of experience and I see how he listens to people. 'He listens to opinions and then makes his own decision based on the best way he can influence players. That is why he has such a good reputation as a coach. 'It has surprised me how much I have learnt. It is not just about your skill or ability, it is about your mentality too. 'People might think being a coach is quite similar to being a player. For me, I have realised it is totally different. It is not just about tactics, it is everything – leadership, communication, how you can influence every single player. 'When I look at Asia or South Korea, administration needs improving compared to Europe and I will look that way.' During his career as a player, Park won the Premier League four times with Manchester United and picked up a Champions League winners medal in 2008. Park played for Manchester United before moving to Queens Park Rangers (above) in 2012 Having featured 134 times for the Red Devils, Park also won the League Cup three-times and the Club World Cup too. He scored a total of 19 times during his Manchester United career before joining Queens Park Rangers in 2012. He made 20 appearances for the hoops before completing a loan move back to PSV - where he saw out the rest of his career. Internationally, Park managed 100 caps for South Korea and played at three World Cups, in 2002, 2006 and 2010. Code:

Re: Park Ji-Sung
Park J-Sung names favourite player from Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United dressing room
Ji-sung Park spent seven years at Man United and he forged a strong, unlikely friendship within the club's dressing room. Ji-sung Park has opened up about his strong friendship with Patrice Evra during his time playing for Manchester United. Sir Alex Ferguson signed Park from PSV in 2005 and the versatile midfielder would go on to enjoy a trophy-laden seven years at Old Trafford, most notably winning the Premier League four times, the League Cup three times and the Champions League once. Park became a fan favourite during his time at Old Trafford and he was also a popular member of the club's dressing room. Park overcame a language barrier to succeed at United and he also overcame that barrier to forge friendships with teammates. Evra was Park's best friend at the club and the South Korean has now reflected on how their relationship developed. "When I look back, it was quite strange. It was just one day after training and we were playing a video game. I won the first game and he [Evra] was quite angry at that, so he wanted me to play again. That started our relationship," Park told NBC Sports. "Suddenly one day, we warmed up together before the match, we were always together. In the dining room, on the coach to matches, and travelling on the aeroplane, we always sat together and spent time together, so we got closer. "He became one of my best friends, the kind of friend that had a different character. He was a more outgoing person, he had that sense of humour. I'm a quiet, very quiet person but we always had happy times when we got together. "He came over to South Korea sometimes and then we always met at other places. We always joked on the phone, it's really good to have a best friend in a different culture. One of the great things about joining Man United is that I made a best friend. "Even our teammates asked how did we get close because I couldn't speak English, but we really enjoyed time together." www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk |
