Manchester United 'face a three-way fight to land Joao Felix in January' with Atletico Madrid 'ready to cash in for £86m' amid tensions with boss Diego Simeone... as 'PSG and Bayern also chase Portuguese star'

* Tensions have been brewing between Joao Felix and Diego Simeone in Madrid
* The Atletico Madrid attacker is reportedly being tracked by three top teams
* Reports in Spain say that Atletico are ready to sell up in January for £85million
* Felix is currently impressing playing out in Qatar for Portugal at the World Cup

Manchester United will reportedly face competition from Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich in a bid to land Joao Felix in January - with Atletico Madrid 'ready to sell' for €100million (£86m).

There has been an underlying tension this season in the Spanish capital between Felix, 23, and his manager, Diego Simeone.

Spanish outlet Diario AS reports that the 'conflict' between them has reached a point of 'one or the other' and that Atletico are now ready to cash in on Felix as early as January, for a figure close to £86m.

Atletico Madrid made Felix their record signing in 2019 when they signed him from Benfica for £114m.

But expectations have been sky high as a result and he has failed to consistently live up them, more and more finding himself on the bench in Madrid.

Manchester United are looking for reinforcements in attack having terminated the contract of Cristiano Ronaldo last month, as well as injuries hampering the number of opportunities open to Anthony Martial.

Joao Felix is out of favour at Atletico Madrid and the Spanish giants are now 'ready to sell'. Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is reportedly keen to acquire Felix as early as January. Felix has found himself as a substitute more often than not, despite costing Atletico £114m. Diego Simeone and Felix have not always seen eye to eye amid growing tensions

Jadon Sancho has struggled for form and that just leaves Marcus Rashford and Antony, highlighting Erik ten Hag's need for reinforcements this winter.

AS detail that PSG sporting director Luis Campos is the link to Felix and he can be the one to sell the vision of how he could fit into the Christophe Galtier project in Paris.

Felix's agent, Jorge Mendes, is said to be actively shopping his client for a new club, with no hope of repairing relations with Atletico.

Felix has managed just four goals from 18 games for Atletico this season.

Felix is putting himself in the shop window by impressing for Portugal at the Qatar World Cup

But having not started a LaLiga match since September it appears his time under Simeone is edging towards a conclusion ahead of the January transfer window.

Felix is currently away with Portugal at the World Cup in Qatar, where they are looking ahead to the last-16 having qualified with a game to spare.

He netted Portugal's second goal in their 3-2 win over Ghana before playing 82 minutes in the 2-0 win over Uruguay.

Atletico Madrid 'tell Man United they want a £70m commitment to buy Joao Felix in any deal for the wantaway star on top of a £9.5m loan fee' as Arsenal also weigh up a move for the Portuguese international

* Atletico Madrid demand a £70.5m commitment to buy in an Joao Felix loan deal
* The fee would be on top of a £9.5m loan move for the Portuguese international
* The Spanish club have given Man Utd until next week to match their valuation
* Arsenal and Chelsea also still remain keen on recruiting Felix in this window

Atletico Madrid will demand a £9.5million loan fee and a commitment to buy at £70.5 million for Manchester United target Joao Felix.

The Portuguese star is expected to leave the Spanish capital this month, after falling out of favour at Atletico after a number of run-ins with boss Diego Simeone.

A clutch of Premier League clubs have been linked with the 23-year-old, but United are currently one of the frontrunners, according to The Mirror's report.

Erik ten Hag has been looking to bolster his attacking options following the controversial departure of Cristiano Ronaldo in December, and Felix remains a possible target.

United have presented an opening offer of a straight £3m loan for Felix, with a commitment to cover the player's wages. However, the proposal was rejected by the Atletico's CEO Miguel Angel Gil when presented by Felix's agent Jorge Mendes.

The Spanish club have now given the Red Devils until the middle of next week to see if they can match their valuation of the player. It is believed United still have first option on Felix, but will only have 48 hours to match any offers from other clubs.

Atletico Madrid have slapped a £70.5 million commitment to buy clause in any loan move for Manchester United target Joao Felix. Erik ten Hag is keen to add more firepower to United's attack after the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo. Felix has struggled for game time this season after falling out of favour with boss Diego Simeone at Atletico

Arsenal have been interested in the Portugal star since the summer, and Atletico believe that Mendes has met with the Gunners to see if the retain an interest in bringing Felix in during this window.

With reports that Felix's former team-mate at the Emirates, Thomas Partey, has been trying to persuade him to move to north London.

Meanwhile across London, Chelsea have also show an interest in a quick loan deal and are reportedly looking to secure a move for Felix.

Felix joined Atletico Madrid for a club record fee of £113 million in 2019, but has been reduced to just ten starts so far this season and was left out of the squad for Wednesday night's Copa Del Rey win over Oviedo.

He is just one of several attacking options being looked at by United, who have also been linked with Memphis Depay, Olivier Giroud and most recently Wout Weghorst.
