AS Monaco Ready To Swoop For Chelsea Captain John Terry

by Charlie Yaxley June 5th, 2013

Wealthy French side hoping to lure England star away from Stamford Bridge.

Monaco are preparing to make an audacious bid for Chelsea’s John Terry according to The Telegraph.

The Ligue 2 Champions are causing shockwaves throughout the football world as they continue to make a number of highly impressive signings.

The club have already announced the signing of former Porto pair Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez.

Atletico Madrid’s Colombian striker Radamel Falcao is expected to join them in the coming days after having completed a medical with the club.

The principality club are currently owned by wealthy Russian business tycoon, Dmitri Rybolovlev and are proceeding to assemble a squad capable of challenging for honours on both domestic and European fronts.

They have reportedly identified Terry as the man to lead them to glory, as Monaco boss Claudio Ranieri knows the Chelsea captain well from his spell at Stamford Bridge.

Monaco are awaiting the outcome of talks between Terry and newly appointed Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho to determine their chances of signing the former England captian.

Terry and Mourinho are known to share a good relationship together but it is thought unlikely that Mourinho will keep Terry at the club should he not envisage a place for him within his squad.

Should Terry arrive at Monaco, that raises the prospect of a reunion with his former centre back partner Ricardo Carvalho, who is rumoured to be on the verge of signing from Real Madrid.

Monaco Set To Lauch £7m John Terry Bid After Jose Mourinho Drops Chelsea Exit Hint

by Mark Brus June 8th, 2013

Chelsea skipper could be set for move to France.

Monaco are readying a bid of £7million to Chelsea for their defender and captain John Terry, who may not have a future at the club under Jose Mourinho next season.

The Metro claims that big-spending French club fancy their chances of luring the former England captain away from Stamford Bridge, after Mourinho’s quotes in the Sun suggest he may not see Terry as first choice anymore.

The 32-year-old enjoys legendary status among the club’s fans, but injury problems in recent years have seen him become more of a fringe player, especially with the improvement of the likes of Gary Cahill and Branislav Ivanovic in defence.

Mourinho, who completed his return to Chelsea from Real Madrid earlier this week, enjoyed a good relationship with Terry in his first spell in charge, but appears to be targeting a number of new centre-backs in the summer transfer window, having been linked with big-money moves for young French duo Raphael Varane and Eliaquim Mangala.

Terry has previously been linked with Turkish giants Galatasaray, but it appears that Monaco are stepping up their interest in him, and could reunite him with his old defensive partner at Chelsea, Ricardo Carvalho, a recent signing from Real Madrid.

Monaco manager Claudio Ranieri, also formerly of Chelsea, was also keen to bring Frank Lampard to the club this summer, before the 34-year-old signed a one-year extension to his contract at Stamford Bridge.

masa sih?
kalo di berita yang lain, seperti ini

--------------------------

Exclusive: Monaco set to make world record £85m bid for Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo

Super-rich French club poised to step in as contract talks between Portuguese winger

Monaco are ready to make a world record €100m (£85m) bid for Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo has just two years left on his contract at Madrid and is known to be disillusioned with life at the Santiago Bernabeu, at the end of his fourth season there.

The Ligue 1 club, funded by Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev, have already spent over £110m this summer on Radamel Falcao of Atletico Madrid and James Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho of Porto. They are now prepared to make their boldest move yet, taking advantage of the Portuguese forward's frustration at Madrid, and failure to sign a new deal, to tempt him to join with a world record salary offer of €20m (£17m) per year.

Monaco are closely monitoring Ronaldo's negotiations with Real Madrid over a contract extension, and if no deal is done by late July or August they will make their move. There have been talks between Monaco and Ronaldo's camp over the last 18 months and the two parties met earlier this year.

Ronaldo feels underappreciated at Madrid and believes he is due a pay rise. He is especially keen to earn more than his great rival Lionel Messi at Barcelona. In February of this year, Messi signed a new contract with Barcelona that will last until 2018, heavily incentivised but with a basic salary starting at €12m per year, but increased through bonuses and image rights.

Monaco will offer Ronaldo an annual salary of €20m, which would equate to nearly £330,000 per week. The principality of Monaco does not charge its residents income tax and so Ronaldo would become the highest-paid footballer in the world.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who would be his Ligue 1 rival at Paris Saint-Germain, has a net salary of between €13m and €14m but because of France's near 75 per cent tax rate on top earners, Paris have to pay out far more than that. Monaco would face no such issue.

This summer, since their promotion back to Ligue 1, Monaco have spent more than £100m on players, all of whom are clients of Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes. Their summer spending started with a combined £60m on the Porto pair Rodriguez and Moutinho – both of whom are Mendes players, as is Ricardo Carvalho, formerly of Chelsea and Real Madrid, who arrived on a free transfer.

Their next purchase was Falcao, the Colombian forward who joined from Atletico Madrid for a fee of roughly £50m, and will be paid £12m annually. Victor Valdes, the Barcelona goalkeeper, is likely to be the next arrival. They have also been linked with John Terry.

Monaco would have to bid another world record fee for Ronaldo, as Real Madrid would be keen to make back the €95m (£80m) which they paid Manchester United for him in 2009. United are also keen on Ronaldo's signature this summer, with the player himself open to the possibility of returning to Old Trafford, where he enjoyed six brilliant seasons between 2003 and 2009. There has also been ongoing dialogue between Ronaldo's camp and United over the past six months.

Ronaldo has scored an implausible 199 goals in 201 games at Real Madrid since his arrival from Manchester United in 2009. Only the feats of Messi at Barcelona have stopped Ronaldo from being recognised as the undisputed player of his generation.

But, with one Spanish title and one Copa Del Rey in four years of individual brilliance at Madrid, he has not done as well as he could have. In those four years, Messi has won three Spanish titles, the Champions League, a Copa Del Rey, the Club World Cup and, importantly, three Fifa Ballon D'Or awards. Ronaldo has not been crowned the world's best since his 2008 Ballon D'Or and would love to win it again. Last September, Ronaldo declined to celebrate two goals that he scored for Madrid, explaining that it was because he was "unhappy" with the club.

After extended his contract in Manchester United until 2012, Cristiano Ronaldo is become the highest paid soccer player in Man Utd squad today. Cristiano Ronaldo will receive weekly wage of £119,000, highest than the highest paid Man Utd player before Rio Ferdinand. And thats mean Ronaldo will receive £6.2million a year.

Real expect to wrap up the deal within the next seven days after formalising a package in which Ronaldo will earn £9.5 million in his first year – £183,000 a week – followed by a 25 per cent pay rise in each of the following five years of his contract. This would amount to £556,000 a week in the final year of his contract.

AS Monaco Set to Sign Newcastle United Midfielder as Yohan Cabaye Completes Medical

From L’Equipe.
by The Newshound June 15th, 2013

St James’ Park star on his way to join Ligue 1 big spenders.

Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye is set to complete a move to Monaco having undergone a medical with the newly promoted Ligue 1 side according to French source L’Equipe.

The 27 year old French international is a player Alan Pardew would be loathed to lose but it appears that the former Lille schemer, who moved to St James’ Park in 2011 is set to return to France to join big spenders AS Monaco.

Monaco CEO Vadim Vasilyev stated earlier this week that Cabaye was an ‘exciting’ player and this in turn led to speculation that the principality side were keen on the experienced midfielder and now it appears that the Magpies star will be Claudio Ranieri’s fourth big name signing this summer.

The Stade Louis II side have already spent vast sums to bring in FC Porto pair Joao Mourinho and James Rodriguez as well as Atletico Madrid goal machine Radamel Falcao. Monaco have also brought in veteran Real Madrid centre-back Ricardo Carvalho.

Cabaye has made 73 appearances for Newcastle United since his £4.8m to the North-East, scoring 11 goals in the process.
