Pepe Reina: Desember, Bulan Krusial Untuk Liverpool

Liverpool Akan Tawar Tinggi David Villa

Liverpool siap menawar Villa seharga £40 juta.

Default Liverpool Line Up David Villa Bid

Liverpool 'lining up move for Barcelona and Spain star David Villa'

Liverpool are trying to prise Spanish World Cup winner David Villa away from Barcelona, after he found his place under threat at the Nou Camp.

The former Valencia striker was first targeted by the Reds in the summer of 2010, but he instead opted to move to the Catalan giants.

However, he has recently found he is no longer an automatic pick by coach Pep Guardiola and could look elsewhere for more first-team opportunities.

The Sunday People has suggested that will mean a reconsideration of the Anfield club, now managed by Kenny Dalglish, who would like to add the forward to their attacking options.

Villa will only move to a club in the Champions League, so any signing will depend on Liverpool securing a top four spot during the current campaign.

It is thought the Reds will have to find approximately £40 million to tempt Barcelona into selling a player who has been a regular goalscorer for club and country in the last two seasons.

But Guardiola's determination to field new signings Cesc Fabregas and Alexis Sanchez, as well as handing more opportunities to Pedro alongside talisman Lionel Messi, has seen Villa drop down the pecking order at the Nou Camp.

Default Major Injury Blow at Liverpool

Lucas injury blow for Reds

Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury.

Lucas was hurt in a seemingly innocuous challenge during Liverpool's 2-0 Carling Cup victory at Chelsea on Tuesday night. He played on for a couple of minutes before collapsing and was eventually carried off on a stretcher.

Manager Kenny Dalglish's worst fears were confirmed after series of scans revealed damage to the anterior cruciate ligament in Lucas' left knee; a real blow considering how well he had started the season.

"The Brazil international will undergo surgery and unfortunately be ruled out for the remainder of the current campaign,'' the club confirmed in statement.

Liverpool have recalled Jonjo Shelvey from his loan spell at Blackpool, where the 19-year-old scored six goals in ten Championship appearances, as cover for Lucas.

News of the 24-year-old's injury is a particularly crushing blow as he had forged a successful central midfield partnership with summer signing Charlie Adam, under-taking the defensive anchor role to allow the Scotland international to play a more expansive game.

Lucas reacted to the injury blow via twitter, saying: " I am really sad with the news because I was enjoying a lot on the pitch ... I am sure I will come back stronger and I will achieve everything that I dream with the LFC shirt. I am sure I'll never walk alone."

Dalglish still has plenty of options, with Jay Spearing likely to assume the role of defensive midfielder. Another summer signing Jordan Henderson could well move back inside, having spent most of his short Reds career struggling out on the right, and while Shelvey has been in great form for the Seasiders he is likely to be a back-up.

The ideal scenario for Dalglish would be a swift return for captain Steven Gerrard. Liverpool's captain has made just five appearances this season, having had a delayed start after recovering from a groin operation in April, and has not played since October 22 because of an ankle infection.

Susunan Pemain

Fulham: Schwarzer, Hangeland, Senderos, Riise, Kelly, Murphy (Gecov 90), Etuhu, Dempsey, Ruiz, Zamora (Johnson 71), Dembele.

Liverpool: Reina, Agger, Skrtel, Enrique, Johnson, Adam, Spearing, Henderson, Bellamy (Downing 77), Suarez, Carroll (Kuyt 77).

Default Suarez in Hot Water for This Gesture

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez's hand gesture looked at by FA

The Football Association is reviewing a hand gesture made by Liverpool striker Luis Suarez after the 1-0 defeat at Fulham.

Suarez raised the middle finger of his left hand as he left the Craven Cottage pitch on Monday.

Reds boss Kenny Dalglish said: "I have not seen the picture. If [it] is true then I've a decision to make."

Uruguay international Suarez is also facing an FA racism charge.

That stems from an incident during Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Manchester United in October that led to French defender Patrice Evra alleging that Suarez had racially abused him.

The FA is yet to receive the referee's report from the Fulham game, or any complaints about the incident involving Suarez.

Meanwhile, Dalglish said it was "scandalous" that some Fulham fans had chanted "cheat" at Suarez during the match in London.

The Scot defended the striker after home supporters had barracked the player for going down too easily in an attempt to win a penalty.

Of the taunts aimed at Suarez, Dalglish said: "I would like to see you write that in the paper because you would be in a bit of trouble as well. It is about time he got a wee bit of protection."

Dalglish is also considering appealing against Jay Spearing's controversial second-half red card.

The midfielder was sent off after fouling striker Moussa Dembele with his follow-through after a tackle, having initially won the ball.

Dalglish said: "Jay will be upset, but we will have a little look and see whether it is worthwhile appealing.

"I think you need to ask the referees what the interpretation is."

Spearing was shown a straight red card by referee Kevin Friend after 71 minutes, with the score at 0-0, before Clint Dempsey's late winner sealed victory for Fulham to move them 13th in the league.

Dalglish added: "It is frustrating because nobody tells us what the level of acceptance is. Jay had no other thought on his mind other than to win the ball - and he did win it.

"I am not a referee. Sometimes they have been given, sometimes they haven't. As long as they are consistent, there is no problem."

A series of decisions went against Liverpool. Charlie Adam was denied a penalty after being brought down by Philippe Senderos, while Suarez had a strike disallowed for offside.

Discussing the game, Dalglish said: "It could have gone either way but I don't think we were going to get anything tonight, were we?

"The goal Luis Suarez scored that was ruled offside could have gone either way. Charlie Adam could have got a penalty when he was pulled down on the edge of the box.

"Tonight wasn't as well as we've been playing, but it was enough to have won the game. We never got the luck but we have just got to brush ourselves off and get on with it."

LIVERPOOL RUN ENDS
•Since losing at Tottenham on September 18, Liverpool had put together an 11-game unbeaten run before being defeated at Fulham.
•Liverpool had won three Premier League away games in a row before going to Fulham - but their defeat means they still haven't won four in a row on the road since May 2009.

kalo aja Suarez diputuskan bersalah ama FA krn telah mengacungkan jari tengah + kasus dengan Evra, mungkin bisa gak maen bbrp partai kan lumayan mengurangi kekuatan Pool

Suarez in the dock again as FA charge Liverpool striker over finger to Fulham fans

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez was on Wednesday night charged over his one - fingered salute at Fulham on Monday night.
And the club's disciplinary headaches did not stop there as they were also charged with failing to control their players during the ill-tempered defeat.

Suarez was the target of a barrage of abuse and repeatedly called a 'cheat' by Fulham fans, angered by what they perceived as his diving

He was pictured making the obscene gesture to home supporters moments after the final whistle sounded.

An FA statement confirmed: 'Luis Suarez is charged with improper conduct in relation to an alleged gesture made towards the Fulham fans at the end of the fixture.'

Suarez is already facing FA charges for allegedly aiming a racial slur at Manchester United defender Patrice Evra during the 1-1 draw at Anfield on October 15.

He has requested a personal hearing regarding that incident and this latest charge will come as another unwanted problem going into the congested festive period.

If Suarez is found guilty of racially abusing Evra he is likely to face a long ban.

FA sources have indicated to Sportsmail that the former Ajax star is more likely to be fined over the incident at Craven Cottage.

Nevertheless, Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish takes a dim view of Suarez's indiscipline.

And his mood will not have improved after the FA charged the club for their protests fol lowing Jay Spearing's red card on Monday night.

Referee Kevin Friend awarded a straight red for the midfielder's tackle on Moussa Dembele.
Spearing clearly made contact with the ball first, but his follow through resulted in him catching Dembele nastily just above the ankle.

Liverpool players surrounded Friend, incensed by his decision to dismiss their team-mate, though the club have since decided against an appeal.

An FA statement read: 'Liverpool Football Club have been charged with failing to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion, following the dismissal of Jay Spearing.'

Chelsea were recently fined £20,000 after pleading guilty to an identical charge for an offence during the 1-0 defeat at Queens Park Rangers in October.

Liverpool have until 4pm on Monday to decide whether to appeal against both charges. A statement released on Wednesday night read: 'The club will take the appropriate time to properly review the documentation sent to us before making any further comment.'
