'You don't have to be a prophet to know he won't play here for another five years': Borussia Dortmund admit Jadon Sancho will leave club as Manchester United lead Premier League chase to sign 19-year-old star

* Jadon Sancho has taken the Bundesliga by storm since arriving in 2017
* The former Man City player has been linked with a return to the Premier League
* Manchester United hold the strongest interest in the 19-year-old winger
* Dortmund sporting director has said he doesn't see Sancho staying for long

Borussia Dortmund's sporting director has conceded that he can't see Jadon Sancho staying at the club for the next five years as the young England star's future continues to grow uncertain.

Sancho has taken the Bundesliga by storm since arriving from Manchester City in 2017, scoring 18 goals and providing 29 assists for his team-mates in 64 first team appearances.

Gareth Southgate has integrated the 19-year-old attacker into the England set-up, with the former City starlet winning eight caps so far for the Three Lions.

Sancho is on an upward trajectory, and as such, has been linked with some of Europe's biggest clubs, including those from the Premier League.

It is no secret that Manchester United kept tabs on Sancho throughout this summer's transfer window, and retain a strong interest in the wonderkid.

And Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has had his say on their star player's future with the club.

'No decision has been made,' Zorc told Kicker. 'But you don't have to be a prophet to know he won't play here for another five years.'

Sancho has come on leaps and bounds since swapping Manchester for Dortmund, and was a key part of BVB's title challenge last year, which they ultimately lost to German giants Bayern Munich. He scored 12 goals and supplied 14 assists last campaign.

Jadon Sancho has taken the Bundesliga by storm since arriving in 2017 from Manchester City. Man United are strongly interested in the 19-year-old and want to bring him to Old Trafford. Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc says Sancho won't be at the club in five seasons

Zorc said: 'He has taken this positive development (at Dortmund). I doubt that would have been possible with top English clubs.

'We trust the players very early, and we are not afraid to let them play. He acknowledges that.

'He's an instinctive footballer, a street footballer, he's always a footballer, but he's always setting new limits. He does not sit back satisfied. He wants to play football successfully and beautifully. That alone is his motivation.'

Dortmund currently sit in eighth position in the Bundesliga in what has been a cagey opening for all sides involved. Lucien Favre's side are three points behind league leaders Bayern after six games.

Sancho and co return to Champions League action this week when they take on Slavia Prague in Group F.

Manchester United face battle to sign Jadon Sancho next summer with player's advisors 'far from convinced' struggling Old Trafford club is right move for 19-year-old England star

* England wonderkid Jadon Sancho is in demand, particularly at Man United
* United's transfer policy has seen them target young, exciting stars
* But reports suggest the club may find it difficult to convince Sancho to join
* The Borussia Dortmund winger would want Champions League football

Manchester United's hopes of signing England starlet Jadon Sancho next summer would be increasingly difficult if the club fail to secure Champions League football.

Sancho's advisors are 'far from convinced' that Old Trafford is a smart landing spot for a player that is one of Europe's most wanted talents, according to Goal.

United are marooned in 10th in the Premier League and have made their worst ever start to a Premier League season, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer under mounting pressure to improve the club's fortunes.

Sancho, 19, has excelled at Borussia Dortmund, having swapped Manchester City for the Bundesliga in 2017 and has seen his stock rise to a £100million-plus player.

Bosses at Old Trafford would likely have no issue meeting Dortmund's asking price but the player will want to ensure he can compete in the Champions League and challenge for top trophies.

He would likely see a significant increase in his salary but United's decline of late is viewed by many as a real cause for concern.

Jadon Sancho's advisors are reportedly 'far from convinced' a move to Man United suits him. Sancho has been a revelation at Borussia Dortmund and will be a man in demand next summer

Since Solskjaer took permanent charge of the club in March, the transfer policy has shifted focus towards young, homegrown talents.

Welsh winger Daniel James arrived for £15m from Swansea while the club spent £50m to bring in England U21 star Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.

Harry Maguire is an England regular alongside Sancho in Gareth Southgate's team and United, determined to land one of the finest in his position in the league, paid a world-record fee for a defender of £80m to get him.

Sancho is arguably England's most exciting young player right now and any move to Old Trafford would see him unite with international team-mates including Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford.

Four goals in eight appearances so far this season shows he is continuing to improve and with United having lost depth and quality in attack with Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez both departing without replacements, United will look at Sancho as the player to transform their fortunes.

Real Madrid 'want Jadon Sancho next summer... and will compete with Manchester United for Danish wonderkid Erling Braut Haaland'

* English wonderkid Jadon Sancho is in demand following after Dortmund success
* Erling Braut Haaland has impressed so far for Red Bull Salzburg this season
* Real Madrid are set to compete with Manchester United for the exciting pair

Real Madrid are reportedly set for a big push in the transfer market and are targeting both Jadon Sancho and Erling Braut Haaland.

Sancho has had a meteoric rise in the game ever since his move to Borussia Dortmund from Manchester City for £8million in 2017 and he has seen his stock rise to a £100m-plus player.

Meanwhile, Haaland has rocketed into the spotlight this season with Red Bull Salzburg, scoring 19 goals across 16 games in all competitions.

Jadon Sancho has continued last season's form into this, scoring three goals in seven games

And according to El Desmarque, Real Madrid are looking to strengthen their squad and are keeping their eyes on both wonderkids.

The report adds that they won't be alone in their interest, however, and that Manchester United are also in the hunt for both players.

Sancho was the centre of transfer speculation in the summer with several clubs including Real Madrid and Manchester United both interested.

It came after the 19-year-old proved to be a revelation in Dortmund's 2018-19 season scoring 12 goals and led the Bundesliga with 14 assists. He has broken into the England team and continued his good form this season with three goals in the opening seven league games.

Haaland, son of former Manchester City, Leeds United and Nottingham Forest defender Alfe-Inge Haaland joined Salzburg in January 2019.

The 19-year-old has starred in the Austrian Bundesliga and Champions League, almost helping the side to a famous comeback against Liverpool in a game they lost 4-3 recently.

Haaland's current contract at Salzburg runs until the summer of 2023, but it is difficult to envisage him staying at the club for the duration of his deal if he continues to perform to such a high standard.

Jadon Sancho should not be tempted by move to Manchester United or Liverpool and needs to develop at Borussia Dortmund, insists their assistant manager Jorg Heinrich

* Jorg Heinrich believes Jadon Sancho still has plenty of improvement in him
* Borussia Dortmund assistant is adamant that Englishman should stay at club
* Manchester United and Liverpool have been linked with winger's signature

Jadon Sancho should stay at Borussia Dortmund despite Premier League interest, according to his assistant manager Jorg Heinrich.

Manchester United and Liverpool are among the clubs understood to be interested in the Englishman's signature.

He has excelled in Dortmund over the last year and Heinrich thinks his career would benefit from continued development in the Bundesliga.

He told Goal: 'The club is ambitious to keep its players but it also realises that Jadon might move on in the future.

'He is the biggest talent in the world right now but it's important that he stays at Dortmund to continue his development, because here he can play in the Champions League.

'The game time he has received at Dortmund since moving from Man City has helped him to this stage,' Heinrich added. 'The squad has played to his strengths as a wide attacker.

Jadon Sancho has impressed at Borussia Dortmund since moving to the club in 2017

'Right now he is going through a little hurdle with his form because he is getting a lot of games at 19 years old - and he is getting more attention from the opposition.'

Sancho scored 13 times and provided 19 assists in a remarkable debut season for Dortmund.

His performances earned call-ups for England and having moved from Manchester City for £8million in 2017, his price tag would exceed that by a huge amount.

Borussia Dortmund 'now accept they may lose Jadon Sancho next summer' - with Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona all keen on him

* In the past year, England's Jadon Sancho has burst onto the Bundesliga scene
* The 19-year-old signed a new contract with Borussia Dortmund in the summer
* But Real Madrid are now interested in bringing Sancho to Spain next summer
* Manchester United are keeping tabs on him, as are Real's fierce rivals Barcelona

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly coming to terms with losing star winger Jadon Sancho next summer with Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona all being linked with the England international.

Sancho signed for the Bundesliga club from Manchester CIty in the summer of 2017 - the same year he won the the Under-20's World Cup with his country.

The 19-year-old has flourished in the German top flight and his impressive form has attracted Real Madrid to a potential deal for the first time, according to German outlet Sport Bild.

Jadon Sancho has thrived at Borussia Dortmund following his 2017 move from Manchester City

Real have identified Sancho as a potential signing for next summer, as a cheaper alternative to fellow young starlet Kylian Mbappe.

That being said, Sancho only signed a new £190,000-a-week long-term deal at Dortmund in August, so any transfer would not come cheap.

Real are struggling up front at the moment, with big-money summer signing Luka Jovic completely out-of-form and former Chelsea forward Eden Hazard struggling on their arrival in the Spanish capital.

Manchester United, who were linked with Sancho all summer, remain interested while Barcelona are also monitoring the Englishman's situation in Germany.

Sancho's direct style of dribbling, quick-feet and eye for goal has seen him storm into the public limelight during the past year.

He has scored three Bundesliga goals in eight appearances so far this season - Lucien Favre's team are currently in fifth place, three points off leaders Borussia Monchengladbach.

Sancho made his England debut a year ago in a goalless draw in Croatia, and has since recorded ten caps for Gareth Southgate's team.

Real Madrid back in for Jadon Sancho in blow to Manchester United's hopes of landing England star with Dortmund ready to sell him for more than £100m

* Real Madrid have revived their interest in Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho
* 19-year-old winger is valued at more than £100million by the German club
* Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in England star

Real Madrid have reignited their interest in England starlet Jadon Sancho.

The Spanish giants, who previously wanted to sign Sancho when he was leaving Manchester City, have begun doing their groundwork as they plot a fresh move for the 19-year-old next summer.

Sancho has established himself as one of Europe's most exciting young talents since joining Borussia Dortmund from City in 2017.

Dortmund are now resigned to this being Sancho's final season at Signal Iduna Park and have already begun their search for a replacement.

They are also likely to have an auction on their hands for one of their prized assets who will cost in excess of £100m.

News that Real Madrid are exploring a deal for Sancho presents another potential obstacle to Manchester United in their attempts to lure the Londoner back to England.

They were already facing competition from French champions Paris Saint-Germain. The Old Trafford club's uncertain Champions League future is another potential handicap.

Real Madrid have stepped up their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho. Sancho, valued at more than £100million, is also wanted by Manchester United and PSG

Their failure to qualify for Europe's top competition dented their hopes when they were weighing up a move for Sancho during the summer and they face having the same problem again ahead of next season.

Meanwhile City have the option to counter any offer for Sancho having inserted a clause that entitles them to be informed if Dortmund accept a bid.

The Football Association concluded their investigation into claims Manchester City made an illegal payment to Sancho's agent when he was 14 and found no evidence of wrongdoing.

German publication Der Spiegel published allegations in January that City had paid Emeka Obasi £200,000 as part of Sancho's transfer from Watford in 2015, sparking the FA probe.

Players cannot have agents until they turn 16. Manchester City had already dismissed the accusation as 'entirely false' and the FA found no information which substantiated the claims.

Manchester United ‘believe they are the front-runners to sign £100m-rated Jadon Sancho next summer’… despite interest from Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid in Borussia Dortmund star

* Jadon Sancho is continuing to attract attention from Europe's top clubs
* The relationship between Sancho and Borussia Dortmund has become difficult
* Manchester United believe they are the prime candidates to sign the winger
* United will face competition from Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona

Manchester United are growing increasingly confident that they can land Jadon Sancho next summer.

Sancho is on the radar of a number of top clubs after it emerged that his relationship with Borussia Dortmund has reached breaking point.

United face competition from Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona, who are all monitoring the situation closely.

The Telegraph reports that United feel they have the best chance of signing the 19-year-old.

United are also reportedly in a stronger position than Premier League champions Manchester City, whom Sancho left to join Dortmund for £8million in 2017.

Reports elsewhere this week have suggested that Sancho felt 'humiliated' and 'scapegoated' after he was dropped for one match and fined £86,000 by Dortmund after returning late from international duty with England in October.

Manchester United are confident they can land Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho next year. Sancho's relationship with Dortmund is close to breaking point after a tough couple of months

And he was then hooked by manager Lucien Favre after just 36 minutes of Dortmund's 4-0 defeat to rivals Bayern Munich earlier this month.

Favre then publicly humiliated Sancho by saying he wasn't injured and his performance wasn't good enough.

He is expected to be in the side that will take on Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Manchester United in 'pole position to sign Jadon Sancho' ahead of rivals Man City and Liverpool while Christian Eriksen remains on Red Devils' radar

* Manchester United believe they are in pole position to snap up Jadon Sancho
* The Old Trafford giants are reportedly confident of fending off any competition
* Liverpool and Manchester City are also linked with the Borussia Dortmund star
* Reports suggest that United are confident they could be first to strike a deal
* United are also interested in securing Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen

Manchester United reportedly believe they are the front-runners to snap up Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho - and are eyeing up a potential swoop for Christian Eriksen.

The Old Trafford giants are thought to be confident of completing a deal for the 19-year-old despite fierce interest from arch-rivals Liverpool and Manchester City.

Wantaway Tottenham midfielder Eriksen is also on United's radar, with the London club open to negotiations in January, according to The Mirror.

However, the same publication state that a switch to Anfield may now be unlikely after Liverpool all but wrapped up negotiations for Red Bull Salzburg winger Takumi Minamino.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer delivered a bullish response when questioned whether Europe's biggest stars would still be tempted by a switch to Old Trafford, and the club have been long-term admirers of Sancho.

The former City youth product has endured a difficult second season in the German top flight off the field.

Following discipline issues, Sancho had been dropped entirely from Dortmund's matchday squad for their clash against Borussia Monchengladbach in October and had also been hit with a fine of a week's wages.

Manchester United reportedly believe they are the front-runners to sign Jadon Sancho

The highly-coveted wonderkid was later benched against Barcelona after reporting late to a team meeting - but has struck seven times, and laid on eight assists, in his 12 Bundesliga appearances this campaign.

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has also publicly played down rumours of a fractured relationship between Sancho and the German outfit, and insisted the winger was 'still in the process of growing up'.

And alongside their interest in snapping up Sancho, United are also believed to be keeping a close eye on Eriksen's situation following Jose Mourinho's arrival at Tottenham.

The North London side could be tempted to ship out the Danish playmaker in order to avoid losing him on a free transfer next summer.

However, The Mirror also report that Tottenham would be more likely to sell Eriksen to interested parties in La Liga, instead of bolstering a rival's ranks in the race for the Champions League.

Chelsea 'near to £120m Jadon Sancho transfer' as they look to pip Liverpool and Manchester United to his services

* Borussia Dortmund and England star Jadon Sancho is a man in huge demand
* Chelsea will battle it out with Manchester United and Liverpool for his signature
* The Blues are working on a deal which could see them spend a club-record fee

Chelsea are looking to beat both Manchester United and Liverpool in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho, according to reports.

The England international, rated at £120million, is currently a man in huge demand after shining in Germany with Dortmund and a return to the Premier League could very soon be on the cards.

According to The Sun, Chelsea are now working on a deal which could see them fork out a club-record fee for one of the world's biggest talents.

England international Jadon Sancho is wanted by Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool. Sancho has become one of the most sought-after players in the world after shining in Germany

The Blues have reportedly emerged as the most likely destination for the 19-year-old winger after indicating they will match Dortmund's big-money valuation.

Chelsea have confirmed to the Bundesliga giants that they are willing to find £100m-plus to sign him.

For the past year, United have tried to acquire the services of Sancho but Chelsea appear to have moved ahead of them in the race to sign him.

Meanwhile, Liverpool - who won their first-ever FIFA Club World Cup title on Saturday - have been put off by Dortmund's hefty price tag.

After getting their transfer ban lifted, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is now desperate to replace Eden Hazard following his move to Real Madrid in the summer.

However, Lucien Favre's side are intent on keeping their star youngster until the end of the season, especially with the Bundesliga title on the line. Dortmund are currently fourth in the standings, seven points behind leaders Leipzig.

But Chelsea could potentially clinch Sancho's signature in the January transfer window, before loaning him back to Dortmund for the rest of the season.

Manchester United 'to rival Chelsea for Jadon Sancho' despite reduced summer transfer budget after £68m Bruno Fernandes capture

* Borussia Dortmund expect Man United and Chelsea to battle for Jadon Sancho
* The England starlet looks set to leave the Bundesliga in the summer window
* United's budget is now reduced after the big money signing of Bruno Fernandes
* Chelsea have reportedly shown a willingness to meet Dortmund's valuations

Manchester United are reportedly ready to rival Chelsea for the signature of Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho in the summer transfer window, despite a reduced budget.

The Red Devils swooped during the January window to tie up a hefty deal with Sporting Lisbon to acquire the services of midfielder Bruno Fernandes, totaling in at £68million overall.

United will look to take their place at the head of the race for Sancho though will have to take their big-money January purchase into account, as reported by the Evening Standard.

Jadon Sancho is set to be subject to a transfer battle between Manchester United and Chelsea. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says United's summer window won't see 'six or seven' new players signed

United's spending on Fernandes is said to be part of the ongoing plans to allow manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to rebuild United in his own image, though the Red Devils are not looking to ring the changes in every position.

Solskjaer has already admitted that the summer transfer window will follow much of the same theme as January, with United acquiring certain key personnel and not a vast array of new faces.

Speaking ahead of the summer window, Solskjaer said: 'It won’t be six or seven coming in definitely. It will be a similar window.

'But here we go again, January is not even done, but we are talking about the summer window.

'Hopefully we can do our business early on.'

United are set to move for attacking reinforcements with Sancho among their top targets, though Chelsea are reported to have expressed a willingness to meet Dortmund's valuation of the England international.

The Sun report that Dortmund's demands have deterred the likes of Premier League leaders Liverpool, but Chelsea have told the Germans they are prepared to find £100m-plus to make a statement signing under Frank Lampard.

Sancho grew up in the Kennington area of London, and has previously admitted he was a Chelsea fan as a child.

After flourishing in the Watford academy, Sancho was snapped up by Manchester City in 2015 before going on the make a name for himself in the youth ranks.

Dortmund acquired Sancho in 2018 for a fee in the region of £8million, after the player opted to move overseas in search of first team opportunity.

The 19-year-old has 17 Bundesliga appearances to his name so far this season, with 12 goals and 12 assists.
