Atletico Madrid striker Mario Mandzukic will join Juventus this summer.

Although there has not yet been official confirmation of the move, Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri admitted he is 'delighted about his arrival' in a revealing interview with Sky Sports Italia.

There has been much speculation over the Croat's future following an ongoing dispute with Atletico coach Diego Simeone and Old Trafford was heavily touted as a possible destination.

But Louis van Gaal, who was also linked with a move for Mandzukic when he took the reins at Manchester United last year, has missed out as the player's €18million (£13m) move to Italy will go ahead.

Allegri said of the 29-year-old: 'He's a player who has scored goals in every league he's played in. He's got character, is an internationally experienced player and he's going to do well in Italy.

'We've signed him because we wanted him. He's a great player and I'm delighted about his arrival.'

Mandzukic joined Atletico from Bayern Munich in July 2014, racing to 14 goals in the first half of his debut season. He scored four more in January, before a barren spell saw him go without a goal for 11 games until the end of the season.

Speaking to AS earlier in June, Atletico coach Simeone said of Mandzukic: 'He annoys me easily, that's the reality. He is a great player and a decent lad. He himself is down about not maintaining the form he displayed up until February.'

Mandzukic will now be hoping he can find his scoring form once more when he begins his Serie A career. He has played in the top flight of Spain, Germany and Croatia respectively, and is likely to soon add Italy to his growing list.

Whether he will ever make the move to the Premier League remains to be seen...

Super Mario sendiri saat ini tenaganya sudah tidak dibutuhkan oleh Liverpool setelah mereka bisa mendaratkan Cristian Benteke dari Aston Villa. Ia dikabarkan akan kembali ke Serie A, namun beberapa klub justru dikabarkan enggan menampung kepulangan eks penyerang Inter dan AC Milan tersebut.

Sebelum Roma dan Fiorentina, Balotelli dikabarkan menarik minat Sampdoria dan klub promosi dan Bologna. Namun, gaji yang tinggi serta sikap kontroversialnya membuat kedua klub urung mendatangkannya.

Roma sendiri enggan menampung Balotelli karena selangkah lagi mereka dikabarkan akan mendapatkan jasa Edin Dzeko dari Manchester City.

Roberto Mancini Pelatih Dengan Bayaran Termahal Di Serie A Italia

Hasil investigasi La Gazzetta dello Sport menyatakan FC Internazionale membayar pelatih mereka dengan cukup mahal.

Allenatore FC Internazionale Roberto Mancini menjadi pelatih dengan bayaran termajhal di Serie A Italia musim ini.

Hasil itu didapat dari invesitigasi yang dilakukan La Gazzetta dello Sport mengenai pengeluaran yang dihabiskan klub Serie A Italia di musim ini dan sebelumnya.

Hasil temuan menunjukkan Mancini menjadi pelatih dengan bayaran termahal dengan empat juta euro per musim, ditambah bonus performa.
Jumlah tersebut sama dengan pendapatan yang diterima pelatih timnas Italia Antonio Conte, meski sebagian dari nilai kontraknya dibayar oleh sponsor timnas, Puma.

Selain itu, Inter juga diketahui masih harus membayar mantan pelatih mereka, Walter Mazzarri senilai 3,5 juta euro per tahunnya.

Sementara Milan memiliki neraca keuangan yang juga tidak cukup baik. Untuk Sinisa Mihajlovic, Milan menggajinya dengan nilai dua juta euro per musim, tapi pihak klub juga masih memiliki tanggung jawab membayar gaji Filippo Inzaghi dan Clarence Seedorf, yang nilainya variatif, yaitu 2,5 juta euro dan 2,4 juta euro.

Ada pun Massimiliano Allegri, yang sudah mengantar Juventus meraih dua gelar juara di musim lalu dan lolos ke final Liga Champions, mendapatkan bayaran 3,5 juta euro per musimnya.

Roma midfielder Daniele de Rossi is Serie A's highest earner with wages of €6.5million (£4.75m), while Juventus Paul Pogba is the division's third-best paid, receiving the same wage as Edin Dzeko.

A report published by Gazzetta dello Sport ranks Pogba and Dzeko's annual wage at a net of €4.5m (£3.3m), with Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain second highest on €5.5million (£4m).

Pogba is the highest paid player at Juventus, who have won the last four Serie A titles. Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon and defensive midfielder Sami Khedira both earn €4m (£2.9m) to complete the top five best paid players.

Ashley Cole has seen his first-team prospects all but disappear at Roma. The club signed Lucas Digne from Paris-Saint Germain on loan, and the defender has made an immediate impression.

Cole, meanwhile, has been left out of the first-team squad but refuses to cancel the final year of his contract, which Gazzetta says is worth €2.3m (£1.67m).

But Cole's substantial wage packet does not make him one of the top 10 earners in Serie A.

After Buffon and Khedira, there are eight players who each earn €3.5m (£2.55m): Geoffrey Kondogbia, Mario Mandzukic, Giorgio Chiellini, Carlos Bacca, Riccardo Montolivo, Mohamed Salah, Claudio Marchisio and Leonardo Bonucci.

Notable players outside that group are Roma legend Francesco Totti, who is paid €3.2m (£2.3m) and Lazio's Ravel Morrison, who takes home €1m (£730,000).

Mario Balotelli's pay at AC Milan comes in at €2.25m (£1.64m) and Juan Cuadrado, on loan at Juventus from Chelsea, earns €3m (£2.19m).

Juventus pay the most on wages of all Italian clubs, their wage bill equating to a gross sum of €124m (£91m).

Roma are second on €113m (£83m) with the two Milan sides third and fourth. AC pay a total of €101m while Inter pay €94m (£69m), a figure which has increased by €24m (£17.5m) from last year.

Inter are managed by Roberto Mancini and as well as signing Kondogbia from Monaco, the San Siro side brought in Stevan Jovetic on loan from Manchester City and handed Mauro Icardi a new contract worth €3.2m (£2.3m).

Serie A's other big hitters have much smaller wage bills: Gazzetta says Napoli's comes in at €74m (£54m), Lazio's is €52m (£38m) and Fiorentina's is almost a third of Juve's at €46m (£33.5m).
