Manchester United could be ready to sell Anthony Martial in order to fund a mega summer transfer for Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale.

According to The Mirror, Jose Mourinho has lost patience with the France international and is ready to offload him at the end of the season.

Martial, 22, has found the back of the net 11 times this season in all competitions but has failed to perform consistently.

United have been tracking Bale for some time but have seen their opening gambits in the past three summer windows rebuffed, with Madrid insisting he is not for sale.

That stance has now changed, but Madrid will be demanding in the region of at least £80million for the 28-year-old.
