Following Pep Guardiola’s declaration of interest in Thiago Alcantara, it appears the midfielder has made up his mind as to where his future lies.

Today Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo is leading with a front page of Thiago declaring that he wants to join his former manager at the Allianz Arena.

The piece claims that the two parties are still at loggerheads over some issues and whilst Guardiola’s recent outburst against his former club has created ill feeling, they are pretty close to finalising a deal and that the 22 year old could even make his debut against Barca on July 24th.

Looks like United will have to look elsewhere in terms of summer targets if these quote are correct.
