Daley Blind
Daley Blind set for Ajax exit as Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal considers bid for Holland international
* Blind played under Louis Van Gaal for Holland at this summer's World Cup * The 24-year-old has been training by himself since returning to Ajax * Manchester United and Barcelon are interested in the versatile full-back * Old Trafford club are also monitoring situation of Roma's Mehdi Benatia Daley Blind is expected to leave Ajax - with Manchester United in the frame for the Holland full-back - after it emerged the 24-year-old has been training alone since he returned from international duty. Ajax youth coach Richard Witschge said: 'I think Daley Blind will be leaving soon. I have a feeling. 'He has been training by himself. I think he has done that because there's something going on.' Experience: Daley Blind played against United's rivals Manchester City during the Champions League in 2012 Pedigree: Blind was one of Louis van Gaal's key players for Holland at the World Cup in Brazil The 24-year-old also has interest from Barcelona but his versatility is liked by Louis van Gaal, who favours a 3-5-2 system with two attacking full-backs. United are also monitoring Mehdi Benatia's situation at Roma. Code:

Re: Daley Blind

Re: Daley Blind
Jika sang kapten musim lalu saja, Siem de Jong dilepas ke Newcastle maka saya rasa bukan mustahil Ajax juga melepas Daley Blind. Apalagi Van Gaal sendiri pasti masih memiliki pengaruh di Ajax
Btw, saya pernah bertemu ayahnya, Danny Blind waktu timnas Belanda ke Indonesia tahun lalu. Ayahnya ramah banget lho |

Re: Daley Blind
Daley Blind
Daley Blind (born 9 March 1990) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a left back and defensive midfielder for AFC Ajax and the Dutch national team. He is the son of former Ajax defender Danny Blind. Club career Ajax Blind began his career in the youth academy of his hometown club, AFC Ajax; the same club where his father Danny made his name as a professional. Daley is a product of the Ajax youth system and, while officially still a B-junior, he became a mainstay in the A-juniors during the 2007–08 season. before earning promotion to the Ajax first team for the 2008–09 season. He signed his first professional contract at age seventeen tying him to the club until 1 July 2010. On 7 December 2008, Blind made his debut in the Ajax first team in the away match against FC Volendam. Blind made an immediate impact when he forced a cornerkick through a Volendam defender, from which Jan Vertonghen scored the winning goal for Ajax. On 19 December 2008, he signed a contract extension keeping him with Ajax until 30 June 2013. Groningen On 5 January 2010 he joined FC Groningen on loan for the remainder of the 2009–10 season, during the Winter transfer window. Return to Ajax The following two seasons saw Daley Blind contribute to two Eredivisie national championships with Ajax, for the 2010–11 season, and the 2011–12 season, the first of which would be Ajax's 30th championship title. Under newly appointed manager Frank de Boer, Blind would be given more and more trust and playing time, earning him the place as the first choice left back with a permanent starting position during the 2012–13 season. On 23 April 2013, it was announced by Marc Overmars, that Ajax and Daley Blind had reached an agreement to extend his contract for three years, binding him to the club until the summer of 2016. On 5 May 2013, Blind contributed to Ajax's third Dutch Eredivisie title in a row, marking the clubs 32nd national title, helping to defeat Willem II 5–0 at home, and securing the top position on the table just one match day from seasons end. Later that day it was announced that Blind had been declared AFC Ajax Player of the Year for the 2012–13 season, after playing an outstanding fifth year for Ajax, from the starting left back position. During the 2013–14 season, Blind was played as a holding central midfielder and was named Dutch Footballer of the Year as Ajax won a fourth consecutive league title. International career Blind was called up to the Netherlands under-17 squad for 2007 European Championships. After missing out the opening match through suspension, he scored a brace against Iceland in the second match but picked up an ankle injury in that match that ended his participation in the remainder of the tournament. He was called up to the U-21 team for several 2011 European Championship qualifiers but did not leave the bench. On 13 October, he made his first appearance in the campaign, coming on as a substitute for Ajax teammate Siem de Jong in a 4–0 win away at Poland. Having had previous call-ups, Daley Blind made his debut for the Netherlands senior team on 6 February 2013, in the starting left back position, against Italy in a friendly encounter at the Amsterdam Arena. The match ended in a 1–1 draw, with Blind playing the full 90 minutes. In June 2014, he was selected in the Netherlands' squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was a starter at left wingback for the team's opening match against Spain, assisting goals for Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben, as Oranje won 5–1. He scored his first goal for the Netherlands in a 3–0 defeat of Brazil in the third-place play-off much to the delight of his father and manager Louis van Gaal. Individual Honours • AFC Ajax Talent of the Future: 2007–08 • AFC Ajax Player of the Year: 2012–13 • Dutch Footballer of the Year: 2014 Last edited by rondwisan; 10-08-2014 at 05:58 PM.. |

Re: Daley Blind
Manchester United Transfer News: Latest on Daley Blind and Summer Raid
Manchester United's latest transfer rumours suggest new boss Louis van Gaal is rightly making defence his top priority. The Dutch strategist is keen to bolster the weakest area of his new squad with a headline-grabbing bid for Germany linchpin Mats Hummels. If a move for the excellent Borussia Dortmund defender fails, Van Gaal will switch his attentions to compatriot Daley Blind. However, the player's eagerness to test himself elsewhere may leave Van Gaal disappointed. But no such disappointment should await the United chief in his pursuit of Fiorentina's ace Colombia winger Juan Cuadrado. Here's the latest on United's current rumours, starting with Blind: United to Bid for Blind in 48 Hours, but Player Could Choose La Liga Van Gaal's chances of signing one of the players he worked with at the 2014 FIFA World Cup are changing. There was an initial boost, provided by comments from Daley Blind welcoming United's interest, per Floris Koekenbier and Yanick Vos of Goal.com. However, in that same interview, Blind stated a clear preference for Spain's La Liga: [quote]La Liga would suit my style of play. Perhaps England as well, but that's a very physical competition and that's not my biggest strength. I have made steps forward physically, but fighting out personal duels is not my thing. I am not like Jan Vertonghen, who is very powerful.[quote] Yet those words haven't dampened rumours of United's interest. In fact, Mirror reporter Simon Mullock has suggested a Red Devils bid is imminent: Quote:
You'd be hard pressed to find a position Blind hasn't turned his hand to. The 24-year-old Nethlerlands international can play either full-back position and even be deployed at centre-back or in midfield. In Van Gaal's 3-5-2, Blind could play the role of wing-back or a quick, ball-playing central defender along United's three-man back line. That's the level of flexibility the club needs after losing centre-backs Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand and left-back Patrice Evra since the end of last season. Van Gaal should move fast to make his connection with Blind count and wrap up a deal for an invaluable utility talent. Van Gaal Ready with Late Bid for Hummels Of course, United won't mind missing out on Daley Blind if the club can somehow find a way to land Mats Hummels. Van Gaal is set to try his luck with a £30 million bid, per Star on Sunday reporter Paul Hetherington: Quote:
Those last two qualities suit the demands Van Gaal places on centre-backs in his 3-5-2 formation. However, prying Hummels away from the Bundesliga will be no easy task. He has developed into a key figure for Borussia Dortmund, where Hummels also has the luxury of participating in this season's UEFA Champions League, something United can't offer. That could put a club like Premier League rival Arsenal into the mix. Mail on Sunday reporter Rob Shepherd believes the Gunners will challenge United with a rival bid: Quote:
Fiorentina Ready to Accept Offers for Wantaway Cuadrado Perhaps the most likely current target on United's radar is Juan Cuadrado. Fiorentina have stated they will accept offers for the skilled Colombian, per Mirror reporter Ben Burrows (h/t Rory Smith of The Times—subscription required): Quote:
However, it's currently United doing all the running. Such speed even has Rob Shepherd convinced the Red Devils can complete this signing imminently: "And United are hoping to seal the £25 million signing of Colombian Juan Cuadrado from Fiorentina by the end of the weekend." That seems a little premature. But United can at least steal a march on Barca in the race for a player obviously determined to leave Italy. Speed is the key to completing the proposed transfers United are currently linked with. The clock is ticking on this transfer window and Van Gaal faces strong competition from domestic and foreign agents for his top targets. Now is the time to put United's resources to use. Code:
