Manchester United are 'willing to sell Anthony Martial for £20m this summer' as they try and generate interest in the unwanted French forward... with Erik ten Hag 'also happy to let Eric Bailly walk away for just £8.5m' as he tries to clear out the dead wood at Old Trafford

* Erik ten Hag has sanctioned the cut-price sale of Anthony Martial and Eric Bailly
* Manchester United have set a £8.5million fee on Ivorian defender Bailly
* Whilst Martial will cost £20m despite having joined for an initial £36m in 2015

New Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is willing to part with both Anthony Martial and Eric Bailly this summer to raise funds for his much anticipated squad overhaul.

Bailly, who joined for £30million from Villarreal in 2016, will cost around £8.5m, whilst Anthony Martial has an asking price of £20m, according to the Sun, despite joining for an initial £36m with performance based add-ons in 2016.

Although Martial showed promise in periods of his seven-year stay at United, neither player is deemed to be part of ten Hag's plans for the future.

With both players perhaps a victim of United's frantic attempts to return to the top after Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement, neither has really lived up to the fees that they were bought for.

Manchester United attempt to raise interest in Anthony Martial with a £20million price tag. United are set to take £37.5m loss on the pair. Erik ten Hag is willing to part with Eric Bailly and Martial for cut-price fees to generate funds. Bailly was injured for a total of 528 days in six years, while Martial failed to impress at Sevilla

Bailly has suffered with injuries during his United career, and has missed 95 games during his six seasons at the club. As a result he has struggled to solidify his status in the side and has subsequently fallen down the picking order.

Martial in particular has been a disappointment for Red Devils' fans, who will have had high expectations for a player that had a Ballon d'Or winning bonus woven into his transfer deal.

Despite scoring a fantastic solo goal on his debut, against none other than arch-nemesis Liverpool, and 23 goals in all competitions in 2019/20, the Frenchman's time at Old Trafford has fizzled out to a disappointing loan spell at Sevilla last season.

However, the Premier League giants may struggle to part with Martial as a result of his mammoth £240,000 per-week wages at Old Trafford, and they will likely be consigned to paying at least some of his wages should he leave the club.

And with ten Hag having already identified five players that he wants the club to bring in, even a club with the financial might of United will need to raise funds through player sales.

The Dutch manager has identified Frenkie de Jong, Christian Eriksen, Ajax duo Antony and Jurrien Timber, and a back-up keeper, as the signings he wants this summer, with de Jong deemed a No 1 priority.

Nottingham Forest agree terms with Manchester United over a season-long loan deal for Dean Henderson... with the goalkeeper looking to secure regular football at the City Ground

* Nottingham Forest have agreed terms to sign Dean Henderson on a loan deal
* Henderson hopes to secure more regular football after a frustrating past season
* Current Forest No 1 Brice Samba is keen to return to France and wanted by Lens

Manchester United and Nottingham Forest have agreed the terms of a season-long loan deal for goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

Sportsmail reported on Tuesday that the two clubs were on course to reach an agreement this week with talks into the final stages.

And a deal for a straight loan has now been finalised between the two clubs with completion of the move now subject to Henderson passing a medical.

Forest moved for the 25-year-old amid doubts over the future of promotion-winning goalkeeper Brice Samba who is keen to return to France and wanted by Lens.

Nottingham Forest have agreed terms with Man United over the loan of Dean Henderson. Henderson has had to play second fiddle to David de Gea at Manchester United in recent times. Forest's search for a keeper comes with Brice Samba looking to return to France this summer

With his experience for club and country, landing England keeper Henderson would be a major coup for Forest ahead of their return to the Premier League.

Among his seasons of consistent football so far was a successful loan at Sheffield United when Henderson was central to their impressive 2019-20 campaign, their first back in the top flight after a lengthy absence and which ended with a ninth-placed finish.

He then returned to Old Trafford the following season and played a big part in Manchester United finishing second but is now on the verge of moving to the City Ground in order to secure more regular football.

Christian Eriksen will pick between Manchester United and current club Brentford when he returns from holiday after both sides offered him contracts... but the Red Devils' bid is 'more lucrative'

* Christian Eriksen is set to decide his next move when he returns from a holiday
* The Dane is weighing up contract offers from Brentford and Manchester United
* Attacking midfielder Eriksen signed a six-month deal with the Bees in January
* The 30-year-old impressed hugely in his 11 appearances for Thomas Frank's side
* United, his former club Tottenham, West Ham and Everton have all been linked
* His current deal expires this summer - so another club can sign him for nothing

Manchester United and Brentford are awaiting an answer from Christian Eriksen over their contract offers once he returns from holiday.

The Dane is set to pick between his current club and United, both of whom have offered him a contract as his six-month deal with the Bees is set to expire at the end of the month.

Sky Sports report both proposals are 'very good' - but the Red Devils' offer is thought to be 'more financially lucrative'.

Eriksen, 30, suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch playing for Denmark at Euro 2020 in June 2021, and his contract at Inter Milan was terminated because players in Italy are not allowed to wear ICD devices.

But due to less strict rules in England, he returned to the sport, signing a short-term deal with the west London club in January, and impressing in his 11 Premier League appearances this season, scoring one goal and helping Brentford avoid relegation.

With his contract coming to an end, interested clubs can sign him for nothing this summer, with United, former club Tottenham, West Ham and Everton among the clubs linked with his signature.

Christian Eriksen is set to pick between contract offers from Manchester United and Brentford. The attacking midfielder, 30, has the option to remain with Thomas Frank (centre) and his side. But Erik ten Hag and his United side have reportedly offered him a bigger salary

The chance to work with new Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag, under whom he played at Ajax, and the chance to join their new era is said to be an attractive one, but his family reportedly have concerns about moving up to the north-west from London.

Whichever club he chooses, Eriksen is believed to want regular first-team football to ensure he secures a spot for Denmark at the Qatar World Cup in November. Money is also not thought to be his primary concern - which may be a boost for Brentford.

Sky also state a return to Spurs is unlikely after Antonio Conte's side strengthened their midfield with the addition of Brighton's Yves Bissouma for £25million.

Brandon Williams 'is surplus to requirements at Manchester United' despite the arrival of new boss Erik ten Hag and 'could leave for around £10m' after impressing on loan at Norwich

* Brandon Williams impressed at Norwich last year despite their relegation
* The fullback played 36 times for Manchester United in the 2019-20 season
* United have four other first-team full backs that would limit Williams' game time
* Erik ten Hag is 'willing to sell 21-year-old Williams if his valuation of £10m is met'

Manchester United are 'willing to sell Brandon Williams' despite his impressive loan spell at Norwich last season.

The 21-year-old will be allowed to leave for 'around £10m' as new United boss Erik ten Hag builds his new squad.

Williams would have struggled for play time in a team that also includes Alex Telles, Diogo Dalot, Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Speaking to The Sun in March, the fullback said: 'I want to look back on my career and have played hundreds of games at the top level in the Premier League.

'I feel I'm capable of doing that. I've showed that I can play in this league this season.'

The Sun also reported that Williams will be allowed to leave United if his £10m valuation is met.

Despite his youth, Williams has already shown he can hold his own in the Premier League.

He played 36 times for United while still a teenager in the 2019/20 season, and proved popular with fans on his loan spell at Norwich last year despite their relegation.

The fullback has also started to attract international recognition, with appearances for England U20 and U21.

Erik ten Hag 'may have only £100M to spend this summer before sales' as his Man United re-building plans take a major hit... with the club determined to 'avoid overpaying for their targets' after 'burning through cash'

* Manchester United will kickstart their new era under Erik ten Hag on Monday
* Ten Hag's players will report back to training, but United have made no signings
* Frenkie de Jong is a target, while a contract has been tabled to Christian Eriksen
* The Sun claim the club may spend just £100million this summer, before sales

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has a £100million transfer war chest to spend this summer, reports claim, a figure which may deal a blow to his rebuilding plans.

Ten Hag will start work at the club on Monday with his players set to report back for pre-season training, but United have so far been unable to add to his squad.

Reports have indicated that a deal is close for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, while a contract offer has been tabled for Christian Eriksen, an in-demand free agent.

In his pub summit with furious supporters, CEO Richard Arnold insisted that money was 'not a consideration', although, according to The Sun, that is not the case.

The publication have claimed that the budget available to Ten Hag may be as little as £100m before any sales, although a number of players are set to be offloaded.

It is said that the tightening of their purse springs is a 'major factor' behind United's move for Eriksen, who left Brentford at the end of last season after impressing.

Erik ten Hag reportedly has just £100million to spend on his Manchester United rebuild. Frenkie de Jong is a United target, but the Red Devils have so far been unable to seal the deal. United CEO Richard Arnold told supporters that money was not a 'consideration' this summer. United missed out on up to £100m

The Red Devils, The Sun add, are aware that clubs are attempting to hold them for ransom, knowing full well they have a host of positions which need strengthening.

Arnold, however, is 'tired' of United overpaying for their targets.

They have also been hit by missing out on the Champions League, after their sixth-placed finish last season. Their failure will cost them up to £100m in lost revenue.

United have been frustrated in their pursuit of Ajax duo Antony and Jurrien Timber.

The Eredivisie giants want £69m for the former, it is believed, while they have demanded around £50m for their defender, a sum United were not willing to pay.

The Sun have even claimed the Red Devils expected his asking price to be half that.

Arnold also told the protesting group that United have 'burned through cash' in the past, and the club appear determined to avoid similar errors during Ten Hag's reign.

Manchester United 'will have to pay Ajax more than £115m for transfer targets Antony and Lisandro Martinez this summer... with the Dutch champions ready to play hardball with former boss Erik ten Hag'

* Ajax are believed to want £45m for Lisandro Martinez and value Antony at £70m
* Manchester United have been linked to the Argentina defender and Brazil winger
* The Eredivisie winners are reportedly confident of holding out for the price tags
* United boss Erik ten Hag and the duo won the title in each of the last two seasons

New Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will have to pay at least £115m if he wants to sign Lisandro Martinez and Antony from former club Ajax, according to a report.

United have repeatedly been linked with two of the stars of Ten Hag's Eredivisie-winning teams of the last two seasons and face competition from Arsenal, who have already made a second offer of £34m to Ajax for Argentina defender Martinez.

The Dutch giants believe they are financially strong enough to hold firm on their £45m valuation of Martinez and asking price of around £70m for Brazil winger Antony, The Sun has said.

The outlet claims Ajax are set to play 'hardball' because they know United are 'desperate' for recruits after returning for pre-season training under Ten Hag's new regime on Monday.

Lisandro Martinez (left) earned Dutch champions Ajax's player of the season award for 2021/22

Antony (right) signed for Ten Hag's (left) Ajax in 2020, making his Brazil bow the following year

United players who were not involved in internationals reported for the session and met Ten Hag as the Dutchman plots the club's revival.

Ten Hag is closing in on Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong, although United have had an initial offer of £60m turned down because Barca want to break even on the £65m they paid Ajax for the Netherlands midfielder.

A plethora of central defenders remain on the books at Old Trafford and United are thought to be prioritising other positions until some of those players have left.

Eric Bailly, Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe could all be on their way out after forming part of a squad who secured Europa League football on the final day of a trophyless campaign.

Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani and Lee Grant have already left the club on free transfers.

Left-back Nicolas Tagliafico - the only Argentinian along with Martinez to have made 100 appearances for Ajax - has been linked with United.

Christian Eriksen, whose short-term contract at Brentford is about to end, is also thought to be ready to decide within days whether he will join Ten Hag's rebuild.

Double Dutch! Manchester United have agreed a deal for Feyenoord left back Tyrell Malacia - who has the same agent as Frenkie de Jong - as Eredivisie club's chief confirms a £13million move to Old Trafford is 'imminent'

* Manchester United have agreed a £12.9m deal for Feyenoord defender Tyrell Malacia
* The Holland left back, 22, had reportedly verbally agreed to sign for Lyon
* But the Premier League side are trying to hijack their move for the five-cap star
* Malacia has the same agent as Erik ten Hag's top target, Barca's Frenkie de Jong
* Feyenoord's Frank Arnesen has said Malacia will move to United if he says yes

Manchester United have agreed a £12.9million deal for Feyenoord left back Tyrell Malacia.

The 22-year old had been on United's radar this window but was poised to join French side Lyon as the Old Trafford club focused attention on their bid to sign Frenkie de Jong.

However, with De Jong talks advanced, United have switched their sights to Malacia's deal and have an agreement in place with Feyenoord for £12.9m plus a further £1.7m in add ons - gazumping Lyon's offer of £12.9m all in.

Malacia, who has five caps for Holland and is a high energy modern full-back, must now decide whether he wants the move to Old Trafford where he will compete with Luke Shaw.

Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Dutch star Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord. Malacia has the same agent as new United manager Erik ten Hag's No 1 target Frenkie de Jong. With the de Jong deal now 90 per cent done, Malacia's £13m move to United is now 'imminent'

United are expected to offload Alex Telles amid building interest from elsewhere.

Feyenoord want Chelsea's Ian Maatsen to replace Malacia - who is looked after by the same agents as De Jong.

Barcelona midfielder De Jong, 25, is the Premier League side's top priority, with new manager Ten Hag desperate to sign the gifted playmaker to revamp his engine room.

United only want to move onto other signings, like Malacia, when the signing of De Jong is sorted.

With Malacia's move to Lyon seemingly in the bag, United had moved onto alternative targets like Ajax's defender Nicolas Tagliafico. But De Jong's representatives are now trying to move both players onto Ten Hag's side.

Feyenoord director Frank Arnesen told 1908.nl: 'The agreement with Man United is there. We are now waiting for Tyrell. If Malacia says yes, then a transfer to Manchester United is imminent.'

Manchester United 'are keeping tabs on Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans' with Erik ten Hag 'interested in the Belgian' as he looks to bolster his midfield options alongside Frenkie de Jong

* Youri Tielemans has just one year left on his current contract at Leicester City
* Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is interested in signing the midfielder
* Ten Hag has made strengthening his midfield a priority this summer
* United are already close to signing Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is reportedly interested in bringing Leicester's Youri Tielemans to Old Trafford this summer.

The Red Devils are yet to make any signings in the current transfer window, but Ten Hag has identified his side's midfield as an area that needs to be improved and has drawn up a shortlist of potential targets.

Tielemans is believed to feature on that list with the club keeping tabs on his situation at the King Power Stadium, according to The Times.

The 25-year-old is about to enter the final year of his contract at Leicester, and has also been linked with north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham in recent weeks.

However, Spurs brought in Yves Bissouma from Brighton earlier this month, and appear to be focusing on strengthening in other positions for now.

This could open the door for United to make their move, with the 13-time Premier League champions also closing in on another midfielder in the shape of Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong.

De Jong is edging nearer to a move to the red side of Manchester for a fee that could rise to £70million.

Tielemans has spent the last three-and-a-half years at Leicester, having initially joined the club on a loan deal from Monaco in January 2019.

Man United boss Erik ten Hag has expressed an interest in bringing Tielemans to Old Trafford. United are close to signing another midfielder, as they look set to bring in Frenkie de Jong

He has racked up 157 appearances for Brendan Rodgers' team, and scored the winning goal at Wembley to lead his side to FA Cup glory in 2021.

The midfielder has earned 52 caps for Belgium at international level, and looks likely to be a key part of Roberto Martinez's plans at this year's World Cup.

As well as Tielemans, United are closing in on a £13m deal for Feyenoord left back Tyrell Malacia.

They are also keen on Christian Eriksen, who is set to become a free agent following his short-term spell at Brentford in the second half of last season.

United have made a proposal to the Danish international, and are waiting for him to make a final decision on his future.

Manchester United are confident of signing £12.9m Feyenoord left-back Tyrell Malacia after talks on Wednesday.

United now need to agree personal terms with the 22-year-old, which is expected to be straightforward.

It is anticipated that Malacia will become the first signing of the Erik ten Hag era at United as the new manager looks to improve the club's fortunes.

Known for his pace and impressive positioning, Malacia is set to strengthen United at left-back, with Luke Shaw and Alex Telles the club's other main options in that position.

Manchester United are confident of completing a deal for Feyenoord defender Tyrell Malacia. New United manager Erik ten Hag is eager to improve his team's options at left-back. Malacia is set to cost £12.9million, with United now having to agree personal terms

Malacia has five senior caps for Holland having previously represented his country at various youth levels.

A product of Feyenoord's academy, he has made 136 senior appearances for the club and won the KNVB Cup in the 2017-18 campaign.

The 22-year old had been on United's radar this window but was poised to join French side Lyon as the Old Trafford club focused attention on their bid to sign Frenkie de Jong.

United are continuing to pursue a deal for Malacia's international colleague De Jong.

De Jong has been Ten Hag's main target since taking charge of United, with the pair having previously worked together at Ajax.

Sportsmail sources have indicated a deal between United and Barcelona for De Jong is '90 per cent' complete, with just the finer details left to conclude.

There is optimism that the transfer will be completed this week. United will pay an initial £55million to the Spanish club for De Jong, a fee that could rise close to £70m.
