IMHO, Setelah kebijakan transfer LvG musim ini, sy jadi ga yakin dengan nasib seluruh pemain muda dari akademi termasuk Perreira. Tapi kalau hingga akhir musim Perreira main bagus & konsisten di setiap kesempatan, bukan tidak mungkin dia nantinya akan bernasib lebih baik dari Januzaj, Willson & Lingard.

Cetak Gol Pertama, Pereira Terima Kasih Kepada Juan Mata

Bola.net - Gelandang muda Manchester United, Andreas Pereira memberikan ucapan terima kasih kepada Juan Mata usai mencetak gol pertamanya di ajang kompetitif bersama The Red Devils.

Seperti diketahui, pemain Brasi U-23 tersebut mencetak satu gol lewat tendangan bebas saat melawan Ipswich Town di ajang Capital One Cup tengah pekan ini.

Usai pertandingan, dikatakan Pereira bahwa dirinya berterimakasih kepada Mata yang rela memberikan bola kepadanya dan mengeksekusinya.

"Saya meminta bola kepada Juan Mata dan dia memberikannya kepada saya," ujarnya.

"Kami sudah berlatih bersama dan dia mempercayai saya. Ini sangat spesial bagi saya untuk mencetak gol pertama saya, sebuah tendangan bebas yang bagus di Stretford End. Ini seperti mimpi yang jadi nyata," tandasnya.

Andreas Pereira was naturally delighted to sample his first taste of UEFA Champions League football during Wednesday's 2-1 win over Wolfsburg and the young Brazilian is hungry for more opportunities in Europe's premier competition.

The Academy graduate stepped off the bench to replace Memphis during the second half of the vital comeback victory at Old Trafford in midweek, exactly a week after impressing with a goal-scoring display during his first competitive start in the Capital One Cup success over Ipswich Town.

Last season's Under-21s Player of the Year has been impressively unfazed by the step up to the first-team and admits he is now hoping to repay the faith shown in him by manager Louis van Gaal.

“I’m very happy that I can have my chance now and I’m very pleased that the manager has given me this opportunity," he told ManUtd.com. "I hope I can do well, as I am doing, and continue my form.

“I’m very pleased with the performance against Wolfsburg, I think it was really important for us to win and hopefully we can kick on from here.

“I think it’s very important for me also to play in a competition like this. I played my first 30 minutes in the Champions League and hopefully I can play more and more games now."

Notably, many have put Pereira's rise down to his level-headed attitude, something which was obvious in his analysis of the Reds' good form in recent weeks.

Victory over our German opponents leaves United in a stronger position in Group B, and although van Gaal's side also sit top of the Premier League, the winger stressed the importance of staying grounded.

“I think we’re very confident in the dressing room but we have to keep both feet on the floor and take every game as it comes," he added. "Hopefully we can win the next game against Arsenal now and continue from there. Every game is tough.

"Every game in the Champions League is obviously tough, as well as every game in the Premier League so we have to take each one on its own. We need to stay focused and continue to train hard."

Andreas Pereira is hoping for another chance to impress when Manchester United take on Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup.

The 19-year-old midfielder marked his senior debut with a superb free-kick as United beat Ipswich 3-0 in the previous round.

Pereira has since gone on to make just one substitute appearance for United's first team, in the Champions League win over Wolfsburg last month.

But with boss Louis van Gaal expected to make changes following Sunday's goalless derby draw against Manchester City, Pereira could be handed another opportunity at Old Trafford.

And the young Brazilian will not be afraid to try his luck from outside the box again should the chance arise.

'I hope I get another opportunity and I hope I can show the manager and impress everyone in the stadium and my team-mates,' he said in the club's matchday programme, United Review.

'If a free-kick appears and you've been practising, you sometimes have a feeling you will score. You feel confident and it's a very good feeling when the ball goes in.

'I spend a lot of time practising them, but I also try to improve everything, not especially one thing. I practise my free-kicks, my shooting, my dribbling - everything.'

United have not lifted the League Cup since 2010, and Juan Mata is determined to end that drought.

The midfielder, whose former club Chelsea claimed the trophy last season, expects a stern test from promotion-chasing Boro.

'Middlesbrough are playing in the Championship, but last season they were really close to being promoted to the Premier League and this year they're again up there,' he told the club website.

'It's going to be a good test for us at Old Trafford. I've never won this tournament, I hope we can make it this season.'

Antonio Valencia is a doubt for the match after he was forced off towards the end of the City stalemate with a foot injury.

United are still without defenders Luke Shaw (leg) and Paddy McNair (liver) but wide man Ashley Young (calf) and striker James Wilson (illness) are close to returning.

Marouane Fellaini, Daley Blind, Memphis Depay and Jesse Lingard could be among those handed starts.
