Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson would rival Manchester City in the race for Mario Balotelli should Inter Milan consider selling the precocious striker.

The Italy Under-21 star was last week linked with Arsenal and Manchester City, and subsequently publicly stated his admiration for the Gunners, but today Sky Italia are claiming Manchester United are very much interested in the controversial San Siro star.

The striker of Ghanaian descent endured a combustible relationship with the former Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho, and although the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ has joined Real Madrid, the 19-year-old and his agent have seemingly been courting interest from other clubs.

Balotelli’s agent has confirmed that a bid from an unnamed club, widely reported as being Manchester City, had already been rejected and a report courtesy of Sky Italia now suggest Sir Alex Ferguson called Inter Milan director Marco Branca to inform the Serie A giants of their interest.

The Manchester United manager reportedly told Braga: "We will always be ready to offer 1 million (euros) more than City (for Balotelli)."

The respected media outlet then later intimated that Manchester United would cap their outlay on Balotelli at £25 million.

kayaknya klo ngeliat karakternya si Balo, United butuh kali y, soalnya untuk atmosfir liga inggris sejauh ini striker yg tinggi dan ngotot terbukti cukup jitu....
Kalo sikap dan karakternya sih, uda pasti bakal kena didikan ALA Fergie..hhehe.. kalo ngga erlalu mahal dan gaji ngga selangit, WHy Not?

betul banget..klo yang rusak dia sendiri sih nggak masalah. Lha klo sampe ngerusak tim kan ya berabe. Keharmonisan tim jadi rusak gara2 1 orang. Fergie emang handal dalam menangani pemaen2 yang bermasalah tapi kok rasanya balotelli terlalu parah. Tapi aku akui dia sangat berbakat.
