Reds loan out strike duo

Mame Biram Diouf and Joshua King will further their football education with loan deals away from Old Trafford.

Senegalese striker Diouf has completed a season-long agreement to join Sam Allardyce's Blackburn Rovers, while Norwegian youngster King has signed up with Preston North End until mid-November.

King joins up with fellow United loanee Matty James, who is spending the entirety of 2010/11 at Deepdale, and the pair could both feature for Darren Ferguson's side today against Doncaster in the Championship.

Diouf could also go straight into action for his new side, in Blackburn's pre-season friendlies against Hearts today and Celtic on Sunday.

Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has also confirmed that he is aiming to take another United striker, Danny Welbeck, on loan for the entire season.

Musim baru tlah dimulai buat beberapa pemaen united yang dipinjamkan. Dah waktunya dipantau lagi pertandingan2nya.

Matty James dan king memulai debut musim ini dengan kekalahan 0-2 lawan doncaster. James jadi starter dan king jadi pemaen pengganti. Sedangkan stewart,chester dan diouf memulai debut dengan hasil positif. Carlisle (Chester - starter) menang atas brentford, yeovil (stewart - pengganti) menang atas leyton orient, sedangkan blackburn meski hanya imbang tapi diouf yang maen sebagai pengganti berhasil mencetak gol dipartai debutnya.

Mantep dah..tinggal drinkwater yang blom maen. Moga mereka dapet pengalaman yang banyak.. Terutama matty james. Moga makin matang dan musim depan ngikutin jejak cleverley nembus tim utama.

With Sir Alex Ferguson present, young King made an immediate impact for PNE. His dazzling run down the right left Andy Halls for dead, and once in the box he had the composure to square for Hayes, who grabbed his second of the match with a tap in on 75 minutes, making it 4-0 to the Lilywhites.

Danny played the full 90 minutes as Cardiff drew 1-1 in the only Championship draw of the first day of the season.

looked good today, will be a season long loan player that can actually play, composed, nice touches, tidy passes, some decent little runs, high hopes for the boy thumbup

He has potential, hopefully he gets a bit more confident as he had quite a few opportunities to have a shot today but opted to pass out wide instead.

I was impressed by him today, can see that he will come on well throughout the season. People having a go at him need to get a grip as well, I don't know what they were expecting.

He played in Carlisle's 2-0 win over Brentford, playing the full 90 minutes.

United started brightly and they were unlucky not to take the lead on 4 minutes when James Chester stayed deep for a corner delivery. He got a strong header to it and Moore was beaten as the ball looped over his head and bounced off the top of the bar.

Chester: 8 - Had the two Brentford strikers in his back pocket, made some good challenges.

A very tight contest so far, with both teams not looking to give much away. Plenty of good football on display though, with Frank Simek at right-back probably the stand out performer for United so far. Visitors Huddersfield look a threat every time they go forward, but Harte and Chester have marshalled Garner and Rhodes pretty well so far. Should be an intriuging second half!

Welbeck set for Black Cats
United striker undergoing medical ahead of loan move

Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck is undergoing a medical at Sunderland ahead of finalising a season-long loan deal.

The Red Devils youngster emerged as a transfer target for Black Cats boss Steve Bruce earlier this summer and it appears a deal is close to being completed.

Bruce was looking to bolster his attacking options even before the £8million sale of striker Kenwyne Jones to Premier League rivals Stoke on Saturday.

Welbeck will now provide additional competition up front alongside last season's leading scorer Darren Bent and Fraizer Campbell.

The 19-year-old has made just two Premier League starts during his Old Trafford career but is regarded as a talented prospect.

He spent the second half of last season on loan with Championship club Preston, scoring two goals from his eight appearances.

With Wayne Rooney, Dimitar Berbatov,Michael Owen, Federico Macheda and new signing Javier Hernandez all ahead of him in the pecking order, Welbeck's opportunities in the North West appeared limited.

He has now elected to join former Old Trafford favourite Bruce at the Stadium of Light with his loan switch expected to be finalised in the next 48 hours.
